My parents purchased solar from a HORRIBLE company that sounds a lot like 'SunFun'. After they passed away, and the house was sold...we were STILL making the monthly payments for over a year!!! That SunFun organization REFUSED to transfer the solar to the new homeowner, and eventually stopped taking or acknowledging our calls. It wasn't until we had to threaten the new homeowner with a lawsuit that SunFun finally transferred ownership. Due to this, we could not trust any of these solar companies...that is, until Kevin Bedard came to our home, and explained everything in great detail to my husband and I. He took the time to hear about our concerns, and he showed us how he truly cared. That same week, we spoke to two other families who shared their positive experiences about Ambrose Solar that made us feel that we would be in great hands. We had FINALLY FOUND A PEACE about getting solar on our home; KNOWING we would be in good hands, and we were ALL IN. It's been six months now, and we are beyond pleased with our solar panels, and the two Tesla batteries we have purchased. We are true fans, who have NOTHING but RAVE REVIEWS for this company. If you don't have solar, or if you need to add solar, Kevin Bedard is your man! and Ambrose is your company. Every employee has been amazing and helpful. Any home renovation project has bumps, and this one had its fair share: after initial install they monitor the systems production remotely to see if it's doing what it's supposed to/expected to, and my system was initially under-performing. They caught it and sent out a team to problem solve it, which took a couple tries, but they didn't drag their feet, they kept on it and kept at it and got it resolved. It was no fault of theirs, just a technology glitch. Core fear was that they would give up after a couple failures and leave me following up with them to get it done, but I never had to worry about that. I also did not end up liking where they placed the control box- it was something that was going to make future maintenance of my house trim problematic down the line. They willingly moved it up a few inches for me (and my only complaint was the team that did that didn't patch the original hole as efficiently as they should have. If I had understood the box placement better on the first pass that would never have happened, so this is a bit of a complaint of my own making.) Jon Landsman, who sold me the system, stayed with us the whole time tracking the project, checking in, and following through on every detail, every question, every concern. He never made me feel like the demanding diva that I am, was always prompt and gracious! The bottom line is that start to finish, even with a few bumps in the road, I have zero question that this is a company that legitimately cares about doing what is right. The culture of deeply valuing customer service that they have built is unmatched by many businesses these days. I am SO pleased, and SO impressed, and I can promise that you will be too!

Joseph completed the work in under 4 hours, but needed to return the next day to correct headboard installation. Perhaps 5 hours total. The unit looks great. No complaints. I will definitely call Joseph for my next handyman project. Joseph is knowledgeable, fast, cleans up work site, offers to help and he was able to respond the same day so we would have a place to sleep that night and he returned the next evening to finish up.

Had to run back to Lowe's several times because he either forgot items or got the wrong kind. He never offered a receipt for purchases. He screwed up the installation of the vertical blinds by not hanging them high enough, then decided to just cut the bottoms of them. He had to go back to Lowe's to get more blinds becasue he didn't know he needed two sets, and he took way too long to do the jobs he did do. The worst part is that he was supposed to come back and finish cutting the blinds so they fit, and he completely ghosted me. So now I have to go back and do it myself.

I got answers from Darlene that did not make sense. Sometimes her computer was down other times her phone was down. Sometimes she would call to give me a message only to realize that she had called the wrong customer. Did not enjoy working with her. Finally, Kara engaged and we got the Permission to Operate about two months after the install. Supposedly Jeff (the Business Owner) is no longer with the company and has gone back East, so not sure who is leading their future efforts. For future customers: hang on to a portion of the payment till the Permission to Operate is received not just the installation.

He refused to discuss a power purchase agreement, instead he tried to force an outright solar panel purchase, which I made clear was not an option. He offered no apology and no clear explanations about his actions. Free advice: if you are not interested in the job, just say so politely. Don't be rude, discourteous, and unprofessional.

I had my solar panels and power wall battery installed around March 2025. Sometime around September…read more2025 when I checked my Tesla app, it was grayed out my power wall was off-line. I contacted Citadel and let me tell you it's been going on almost 6 months and they still have not resolved the issue. I actually had to reach out to Tesla directly for them to confirm that I'm not crazy. It's not a Wi-Fi issue. There was a ground fault error. I relayed this information to Leslie and her supervisor Bernice. They sent a technician out to check on my battery who also contacted Tesla. You would've think the next time they sent a technician out it would be to go on top of my roof and check all the wiring but instead the same technician came out and again checked the battery and contacting Tesla. Then I was informed they would need two technicians to come out and go on top of the roof and lift all the panels checking all the wires to find where the exact issue is. Obviously, I knew that so I was confused as to why this technician was here a second time only looking at the battery. Weeks later, they sent two technicians out today, January 27, 2026. They go on my roof and they did find an issue in one of the lines however they could not complete their job because they didn't have an MCI. They also didn't have the time to lift all my panels since it's late in the day. All of this should've been noted in their system so that their technicians would have been informed on what was needed. This issue has been dragged out for months. It's now only being "escalated" --because who knows if they're really going to do anything to speed things up and get together and fix all the problems. These things aren't cheap. It's an investment. You would think they would do better when there's so many other solar companies. Go somewhere else. Not worth the headache. I hope the owner sees this review and something actually gets done. I shouldn't have to post a negative review or ask for things to be escalated.

I could use more power but since my original installer went bankrupt, I have been unable to find a company to work on adding panels economically. Each company contacted wants to sell me a new system, which is not what I want, need, or afford. We went back and forth on this a couple of times in two or three separate calls and came to the mutual decision that the cost was not worth the additional "juice" I would get. Unfortunately, much of this is a result of both inflation (rising cost of materials due to tariffs) and the withdrawal of rebates and other benefits to installing solar. I still firmly believe installing solar is the correct thing to do for our environment and our world. I truly appreciated Diego's honesty in being upfront about the cost. For this reason, although it did not work out for us, I highly recommend working with this company if you want to install solar panels.

The construction guys did a good job however when cleaning up the mess they had on the ground, they were not so great. They left coffee cups and papers on the ground and did not pick them up. They opened a gate and did not close it after them. They do not wear any company logo on clothing or company trucks. They came in private. Looked like they were just individuals off the street..

On site, the design and install team did a great job keeping things simple. The entire system, including battery and thirteen panels, was installed according to Ramiros's expert design within just four hours. Good quality hardware was used to tie to the roof, which was inspected by our roofer and given a big thumbs up for not causing problems. But even before that, David our site survey tech, gave us the sense that all would proceed well, as he collected necessary data by drone, and made a favorable first impression with his personable approach. Toward the end of the multi-month process, which included time to get a new roof installed, we passed city inspection with YES tech, Dario, an extremely courteous young man, present to ensure we made it through that last step and PTO (permission to operate). YES has an excellent and well-deserved reputation because of these people and others who worked on our behalf. The company can do better automating some of the process, and to be fair, they say they are working on transitioning to a CRM software solution for this purpose. But, I can say that over a period of several months, I had excellent communication with many helpful people. Skyler in customer service was my primary contact and that made all the difference. There were hardware glitches after installation, but the Got Watts team reliably spotted them - without me realizing there was even an issue - and sent teams out to ensure my equipment worked as promised. Years later I noticed some leaks through my roof where some phase 2 panels were installed. I notified Got Watts and they sent large crews to my home to rectify the issue over several days. This was no small fix. They probably spent vastly more to rectify the leaks than they did to install the panels to begin with. No one likes to have problems with an install. But, it means a lot for a contractor to honor their commitment and spend vast sums to honor their warranty, and their word, to their customer. I've had "good companies" make promises they wouldn't honor once the initial check cleared. Got Watts was true to their word and treated me in a dignified manner that is rare these days. Adel, the owner, is one of the most responsive contractors I've worked with. He always answers his phone, follows up, and genuinely cares that everything is done right. Quinn was also fantastic throughout the process, and Kevin did an excellent job with the measurements and made sure everything was accurate. The person who came out to assess our situation was Adel, and he was easy to connect to and trust. His answers were always knowledgeable and had reasons. He assessed that two of the windows I was replacing were incorrectly installed in the first place, which did not surprise me because whoever lived here in the 90s was a real do-it-yourselfer with more ambition than skills. So those two needed a "rebuild," but our bay windows were fine with a less expensive "replace." Once I signed the contract, the next person to come out was Kevin and he took very specific measurements and also rang with credibility. I was pleased to learn that many of the Window Guild employees have been with them a long time, which speaks well of the organization even if it was sold once. On install day, some new guys came out to get started, and they were also pleasant and professional. Kevin came out a few hours later to provide senior supervision, so this was not at all like having the senior guy sell the work but have nothing to do with getting it done. As it turned out, they needed a second day because we didn't know if my second rebuild was going to need some dryrot work (because it had been leaking) and they didn't want to start that late in the day. They came back in a week and it was just fine. The windows are beautiful to look through and we can already tell they are so much better insulated than our old ones. They are Milgard windows and come with their lifetime warranty, which is better than what Andersen Windows gave us when we used them for other ones.

Best service you'll get in Solano (and a little bit of Contra Costa) Simon owns the company, no middle man, and he has more than 17 years of experience working in HVAC. When I requested service for my AC, he would've literally been able to come check it out within half an hour! I wasn't able to do that cuz I was working, but he was able to work with my schedule. The flexibility is always great. When he came by, he was immediately able to diagnose the problem, told me exactly what I need, how much it was, and even taught me how to maintain it and diagnose issues on my own as well. No frills, no upselling, saved me money wherever he could, and most importantly, the job was future proofed as well. I got a great price for the work that needed to be done, and it was also done quickly. He even came early! And you know what he said y'all? He said once every Summer just get your hose, put it on jet, and spray the vents out. That's it. We were ready to pay him to come out and clean our AC unit and Simon, said we didn't need to. I mean, who does that nowadays?! Full disclosure: I had another furnace company come out and check my furnace. This company not only told me my motor was broken (BS! ), and also would cost $950 to fix. They also greatly emphasized replacing the whole system for $12k. I have no doubt this company would also charge a grip to come out and clean our AC unit. So, my brothers and sisters, please DO NOT call ANY, I repeat ANY other furnace repair but Marasigan. It is a small local, family-owned business that unmistakenly takes great pride, holds the utmost integrity in their work, and most importantly, is completely honest with their customers. My recent encounter with Roofing Craftsmen was nothing short of extraordinary. From start to finish, their professionalism, expertise, and attention to detail made the entire process seamless and stress-free. The roof replacement was accomplished in a brisk three days, but don't let the speed fool you; their crew, came prepared and worked with an impressive combination of efficiency and precision. They executed the entire operation with precision. Great customer service is often an afterthought, Jose and his crew were a breath of fresh air. From the outset, Jose was patient, knowledgeable, and forthcoming. He welcomed all of my questions, answering them with a level of honesty and integrity that is rare to find. His openness not only put my mind at ease, but also bolstered my confidence in their craftsmanship. Where Roofing Craftsmen truly outdid themselves, however, was in their attention to the finer details of the job. They went above and beyond, ensuring that even aspects such as the flashing around the chimney were attended to with the utmost care. What's more, they took it upon themselves to remove old, unsightly satellite dishes, an aspect that I hadn't even considered, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of my home. I can't say enough good about our experience with Roofing Craftsman. We had damage to a couple of roof ridges on our San Anselmo home from raccoons trying to get into our attic. It was a very small job by comparison to most roofing jobs, but it seemed as if we were their most important client. After I called and spoke to Leah on a Friday, Jose came by the next day (Saturday) to examine the damage and prepare a proposal.. As promised, he sent me his proposal first thing Monday. Once I approved the proposal that afternoon, I was told that a crew could come Tuesday morning to do the work. The next morning, Ricardo and Luis showed up right on time and proceeded to do a fantastic of replacing roughly 30" of roof ridge shingles. They were efficient, friendly and did an excellent job of cleaning up the area and removing all debris. Raccoons aside, my wife and I couldn't have been happier with the experience, I will definitely be recommending Jose and his company to anyone I know who's in need a first class roofing job, no matter how large or small. read more

In April of this year we had to have our 9,000 square roof re-shingled. We got estimates from 4 companies and fortunately chose Roofing Craftsman. The first thing we noticed was that Jose phoned us and told us he would be 10 minutes late for our 9 AM appointment. That attention to detail became evident all throughout the entire project. His men arrived on time and the entire crew was careful and neat. They estimated that it would take 5 days and in fact they were finished in 4 1/2. The arrived on time and every night they cleaned up and there was no residual mess around the house. Little extras like washing the clerestory window were done without complaint or extra charge. They obtained the required permit and inspection (a farce) expeditiously. Now 7 months later, with the first rain, we noticed a small leak at one of the gutter junctions. It was repaired within 19 hours of our notifying Jose's wife. We could not recommend this company and individuals any more highly. read more

Each company contacted wants to sell me a new system, which is not what I want, need, or afford. We went back and forth on this a couple of times in two or three separate calls and came to the mutual decision that the cost was not worth the additional "juice" I would get. Unfortunately, much of this is a result of both inflation (rising cost of materials due to tariffs) and the withdrawal of rebates and other benefits to installing solar. I still firmly believe installing solar is the correct thing to do for our environment and our world. I truly appreciated Diego's honesty in being upfront about the cost. For this reason, although it did not work out for us, I highly recommend working with this company if you want to install solar panels.
