I left this place feeling giddy and so excited. We went here because it was near the restaurant we had dinner. We went to the 18th fl and got beers and cocktail. It was night time and we could see the empire state building from where we were sitting. The view is just breathtaking. After we were done the waiter actually took us to 19th floor! (Open in summer) I could see the freedom tower and empire state building. Needless to say we took lots of pictures and it felt exclusive! The second time Sarah and I have stumbled upon a great rooftop bar! I really loved this place for a number of reasons. A little off the beaten path in Chinatown but definitely worth a visit and the views were stunning especially in late afternoon. You really got a great view of the whole city. Drinks menu was amazing and they had good happy hour deals which was nice not having to spend a million dollars for a view. Friendly bartenders and the seating below was actually really fun and trendy too. The food menu looked really tasty and I wish we had been able to sample some. I had a really cool time at this rooftop bar! I came in about 6 pm on a Sunday for the happy hour special. It's nice they have them on the weekend as well. It wasn't too packed inside, but the rooftop was starting to get a little crowded. The bar on the actual rooftop was closed, but the bartenders were quick with making the orders and friendly. I really wanted to like this place. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a great casual spot. Seems like it's an after work spot because majority of the seats were taken at 6pm. By 8pm, most people were gone. The downside is that it was crazy hot when my friends and I visited. My friends and I came here July 3rd and the air-conditioner was barely blowing cold air. The lady who works there said this was the coldest it gets. It rained earlier so we had to wait a bit before the outside rooftop portion opened up. Another thing, don't be deceive by the pictures. This place is small!! The indoor and outdoor area, especially the outdoor part. I thought it would be bigger. Not that it is a bad thing. The drinks were reasonably priced so I can't complain about that. The music was low in the indoor area when we were there. We could barely hear the music so my friends and I couldn't dance. The outdoor area had louder music but not the best place to dance. Just more of a casual atmosphere. I still would come back now that I know what to expect. Definitely a great place to impress a date. They charge a $20 "play fee" if you would like to bring a cake to celebrate a birthday. Stephanie was amazing when to answering some of my questions via email. I'll give it another chance and update my review. Nice rooftop lounge with both indoor and outdoor seating right smack in the middle of Chinatown, formerly where Silver Palace stood if I'm not mistaken. Decor is contemporary with great lively choice of music. Patrons are dressed to impress. The views of the city from the outdoor rooftop is spectacular. Expect to pay a pretty penny for drinks here, with cocktails at $15 a pop, and $10 for a bottled beer, excluding tip. Wait times for ordering drinks and using the bathroom can get pretty long during peak hours. On a positive note, there's no cover. Here's a tip: if the hotel asks, tell them you're staying at the hotel, and take the elevator to the rooftop. Otherwise, they send you through the restaurant next door, where a long line usually forms. I'd suggest coming here with a group of friends to open bottle service by the rooftop, which is probably your best bet for a fun filled weekend night. read more

Rooftop 93 is known for their sweeping views on their rooftop bar. We got to check this place out with a friend of mine and was she right. The views were wonderful, but I have to say it can get pretty hot up there during the summer/spring as there's no shade (obviously). I would have to say that the night time would probably be even nicer as there would be an amazing view there, but we didn't stay there that long as we wanted to get some dinner before heading back to where we were staying out. The bar menu was pretty good. They have a full bar menu of course, and their specialty was a popsicle drink. I would have to say the favorite for me was the Ooh-La Lychee popsicle drink, and I have to say this drink is definitely Instagram worthy. If you don't want to be on the rooftop, they do have an inside seating area where you can just lounge. This is where you come straight out of the elevator, and there you are! It's comfy, and I can only imagine it to be only really cramped during the busy hours but we came at opening and there were plenty of seats. Rooftop 93 was one of the first rooftop bars I visited after moving to NY. It may not look as 'glamorous' as some of the rooftop bars in midtown, but I prefer it to a lot of other ones that I've been too for 3 main reasons: 1) This bar is kind of a hidden gem so it isn't nearly as crowded as other places around Manhattan 2) Drinks taste good and are reasonably prices (and you get a free shot when you check into yelp) 3) They have a beautiful, unobstructed view of the city Naturally, rooftop 93 does tend to get a bit more crowded on Friday/Saturday nights. My favorite time to go is earlier in the evening just to sip on some drinks and enjoy the city. The rooftop has a great view of the sunset, which I would highly recommend coming to watch. read more

First I'm giving the 2 stars for the view which is pretty nice however do not come here if you are looking for good food. I ordered wings and nachos and the wings tasted like they were from seven eleven, straight from a frozen bag into the fryer. I would recommend to come here after you have had a nice meal and want drinks at a rooftop. We checked out Rooftop 93 on our most recent visit to NY. In search of a good view without the huge price tag, we found Rooftop 93 and decided to give it a try. When you first arrive, you have to walk into the hotel lobby and take an elevator up to the bar. We arrived at happy hour and we had the whole bar to ourselves and 2 other small groups. Once we sat down we ordered 2 drinks and some edamame. Our order took awhile despite the place being empty but no big deal. We weren't in any kind of rush. Once our order arrived we asked for some soy sauce to go with our edamame and we were told that they didn't have any. Y'all. We were at a hotel bar in the middle of china town. And there's no soy sauce...oh well. We ate our edamame the way it was and enjoyed the stunning view. I came here on a Tuesday around 5:30pm. Ambiance: Rooftop inside the Wyndham Garden Hotel; take the elevator to the 18th floor. There are two floors to the rooftop, one indoor and one outdoor. The indoor area had the AC on blast, which I was not crazy about but probably good if the place is crowded, which it was not, when we went. Overall the place was super chill (literally and figuratively). The outdoor part is small but super cute. They play music on both floors which is a big plus since most rooftops do not play music. View: You get an awesome view of the downtown area. Service: Both bartenders on both floors were friendly. Drinks: I did not get to taste the Popsicle drinks because I was just not in the mood to pay $17-20 for it. They did have some happy hour specials (well drinks and beers $6) and mixed cocktails ($8). The cups were a little small and this is basically my main complaint. They do not serve food but have potato chips for $1. So your best bet is to eat before or after you come here. The hotel has a restaurant on the lobby you can go to as well. I asked if they open the upstairs part during the winter and they said that is mostly for people who want to smoke. Came here with a few friends in the winter. It was pretty cold, but the rooftop has two floors - the 18th which is completely inside, and the 19th, which is outdoors, but closed during the winter. The inside was really nice and cozy. The music wasn't aggressively loud so you could just catch up with friends here. The place itself is a bit small and can maybe fit around 40 - 50 people. However, it was not packed and while we hung around the bar for a bit to wait for a table, it was not bad at all. Service is really good here - everyone's very attentive and friendly. Drink prices are standard for the city, possibly cheap for a rooftop - $8 for a bottled beer, $11 for a mixed drink, $14 for a cocktail. Definitely not a place where you want to pregame, but a nice place to come for an after dinner cocktail. Overall a great place with some cool views of the city. I barely made it on time for happy hour, but the bartenders graciously extended it for a little longer. I only had two drinks and two shots but man, those popsicle drinks are strong! I started off with the Summer Breeze cocktail which was good but not that strong. Then, I wanted to try the Berry Bubbly popsicle drink but they didn't have that one anymore (sad face). So, I ordered the Sapphire Lemonade which was stronger than the Summer Breeze and amazing! I didn't think the music would be loud but it was loud enough which was great. Unfortunately the night I went, it was raining so we didn't get to go on the rooftop. However, the downstairs lounge was just as nice and fun. It wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be; again, probably because of the rain. I checked in and received the free shot which was really good. I love this place. Yesterday was my second time going. I feel like it's a hidden gem and I don't want to tell yal about it, but I guess I will. You have to walk about 10 minutes from the train and it's located on the 18th floor in a hotel. The 18th floor is beautiful indoor bar with the floor to ceiling windows gorgeous lighting. The popsicle drinks are nothing to be played with. They look beautiful, but are beyond tasteful and strong! I had two of them. The lychee and something punch and I thought I had long islands, that's how strong they were. I was feeling myself after two. Everyone was friendly and it was just a got time. They have an indoor and outdoor (upstairs) portion, both with great views of the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges, Freedom Tower, Empire State Building, and just city lights in general. After running through rain and storm, I made it to the elevator for this rooftop bar. I found myself laughing with a stranger on the ride up making conversation. Jeff later turned out to be the owner. He made a point to come over to our table and exchange pleasantries. He's genuinely a super cool guy, and sent a round of shots to my table for my date and I. Couldn't be happier to know a hip spot is run by a standup gentleman. I ended up here on a Monday night for the happy hour special which was such a good deal. 4 shots in a tall mixed drink which was delicious. I paid because they claimed to have "unobstructed view" of the Fourth of July fireworks, and of course there was NO FIREWORKS in sight; I flew in from Los Angeles and I am really upset over this. You guys need to refund or at least APOLOGIZE for false advertising. Absolutely a fraud, stay away. Side note: was just informed this event was by another company, still disappointed but I appreciate rooftop 93 reaching out and trying to make things better, speaks volume on the venue management.
