The waitress was really sweet, but it was her first day so she didn't have a lot of answers to our questions. I don't eat meat, other than fish, so when I asked if I could get the quesadilla without the sausage but with the peppers and onions I was told - "No substitutions." The only vegetarian options they have on their menu is salad and cheese pizza. Is that all you think that vegetarians eat? They eventually agreed to just a cheese quesadilla and then served it with marinara sauce? What?! My two friends ordered another round of drinks and she brought the wrong drink altogether. Granted, I understand it's your first day, but we should of gotten a discount of some kind. They made me pay full price for a quesadilla that didn't even have 3/4 of the ingredients in it. Waitress was sweet, but our salads took 45 minutes & when we asked for a status, some food runner ( working in yoga pants) basically blamed us for ordering protein for our salads b/c that's only for the downstairs menu. Then we got charged for 3 salads because somehow they got confused about that too. What a disaster!! Literally just walked out of this place after waiting for an hour for our food, only to watch it be handed to the WRONG table. While waiting and waiting and waiting, we witnessed at LEAST 30 people come in, sit down, realize they didn't have a PRAYER of getting served, then LEAVE! Is this a joke? Great rooftop patio situation! Lots of shade to chill for hours under with a couple drinks to enjoy the outdoors! Must try the cucumber giblet, refreshing cocktail to for a summer patio situation. While it's connected to the restaurant downstairs I do not believe they are connected as the food menu is a typical bar menu an very limited. I had the tacos which were good, nothing that blew my mind but they worked. The guac was a bit on the bland side and they served them with corn chips which I wasn't really into. Stopped by this location when doing the tourist drive. The potential view from the restaurant pulled me in. The view was great and the sitting area looked very nice and accommodating with a little fire at this bar and the trees close by. Sat at the bar and wait far to long to be even acknowledged. After about 15 minutes we got a drink order in. Both drinks were well made. White sitting at the bar top with the fire I found that the fire was making it enumerable due to the heat. It was already a 75 degree day. I asked our waiter if it could be turned down or off. He replied it wasn't possible. At this time my buddy and I were the only ones sitting at this bar top with the mini fire. We ordered our food and found the wait for the food to be consistent with ordering our drinks. When we got our food I found it to look very appetizing. When I bit into my taco I was greeted with cold food. Not luke warm, COLD. No big deal, mistakes happen and i'm generally a patient person. I informed our waiter and was greeted with a shitty (I apologies for profanity, but I really have no better way to describe other than such an ugly word) attitude. This cold food that I had reported had just become an issue to him because I informed him of it. This was the attitude given off based on voice inflection and body language. Due to his response I really had no reason to ask for it to be remade. I just asked it be taken off the bill and I would just enjoy my drink. My buddies food was of proper temperature and tasted good. At this point I had sweat dripping down my head from the unnecessary fire on a 75 degree day with the sun beating on me. I found the off valve for the fire and turned it off myself. A couple that had 5 minutes earlier sat down at the opposite end looked at me and gave me a genuine, "Thank You". When the bill came out our waiter had flipped a switch and now seemed to be the nicest guy in the world. It was almost a joke because he was pouring on the nice to an almost comical level. I think I might skip this location if I am even in Denver again, which is hard because the place was really perfect in terms of location, view and top deck (I was there in Oct. 14). read more

I'm a huge fan of Morrison. A great little town with friendly folks good food and eclectic shops. We had never tried this pub so... We thought we might. Went upstairs and the staff was pretty busy. We were told by the bartender to sit wherever. So we headed to the patio where a young lady waitress requested that I grab some seat cushions. I'm a helpful fellow so I grabbed up a few. As I was doing so some very angry fellow started yelling at me,"Don't touch the pillows and get off the patio and you need to wait for me to seat ya... Blah blah blah..." This place and view is one of the best. The only thing holding it back from 5 stars for me was the service. The service wasn't the worst by no means but we had to wait unnecessarily long for our check and various other times for refills. The view is spectacular and the food was delicious. The atmosphere here is GREAT!!! Especially when the weather is nice and you can sit outside on the deck. The food is good and reasonably priced. I ordered the guacamole and salsa as an appetizer. The guacamole was bland, lacked flavor and the salsa was pecante sauce. Like they literally took pecante sauce out of the bottle, put it in a fancy clear cup and called if salsa. I ordered the Korean BBQ tacos. They were pretty good. For the price tho, I just felt it wasn't worth it in the quality of the food and therefore will not be returning. read more

We came in Tuesday at 12:30in the afternoon and we had a fantastic time. The service was great! Our waitress was helpful and made sure we had what we needed. I can't believe the bad reviews this place has been getting on here.... Can I just say; Absolutely the BEST pizza we've had in a long time. It was so fresh tasting and just so darn delicious. It took a little while... But, the server did warn us that the pizza takes twenty minutes to make. I didn't realize that the restaurant below isn't the same as the outside bar above. It's trendy and cute, but don't expect it to meet your metropolitan idea of "servitude"... It's a dive bar. We absolutely loved the place. My friend and I stopped in Morrison for lunch while we did the Red Rocks thing. The rooftop was small but lovely, they were very busy but the staff was friendly, fast, and accommodating, the food was fresh and delicious. We had the Mediterranean salad and the street tacos w carnitas on corn tortillas. I've had my fair share of street tacos since I live in Texas but these were BY FAR the best I've had in quite awhile. The sangria was a little sour/bitter for my Texas palate (texans know a good sangria) but I still downed that thing anyway because it was good (and expensive). The bar top is nice, and in a good location. At 6:00 pm the sun is straight in our eyes. We open the umbrella next to our table, problem solved. A staff member comes by and puts the umbrella down. I say put that back up please, the sun is blasting us. Nope. I ask the owner, can you please put the umbrella up. Nope, we don't put those umbrellas up. That umbrellas broken. What ?!%@? We're having dinner and drinks in your restaurant? The owner says sit somewhere else. This owner's a jerk. Next time we'll sit at another table, in another restaurant. Favorite bar in Morrison! Awesome atmosphere, great staff and fantastic patio!!! Feeling the same as another reviewer, I also almost hate to give a good review in fear of others overcrowding my favorite place to go in downtown Morrison but some of these other reviews are just plain ridiculous! If you are a scumbag or yuppie please just don't bother coming....we don't want you here anyway. I have been here quite a few times, both before the renovation when it was Vinny's bar and since, as the Rooftop. My friends and I all love this place! I even suggested it to a large group of co-workers to come to after a big yearly meeting and about 20 - 25 of them visited and absolutely loved it! All the execs from out of town really had a great time! Really liked the huge tree that the whole place is pretty much built around. We have never had a bad time here and it's a great place to come have a quick drink before or after a show at Red Rocks. But like I said, dirtbags and uptight DBs can just keep walking! Thank you! I live near Morrison and love to visit this quaint little town to escape the uppity and urban establishments closer to Denver. This "Roof Top" location is beautiful and I love sitting in the sun and enjoying a drink. The times I have been there I have been very disappointed in the food and the service, particularly disappointed with the service yesterday when I was there. The waiter was quite rude. When I asked if they had any drink 'specials', he responded that happy hour didn't start for another half an hour. I said 'Ok, do you have any other drink specials' and he just snipped 2 or three more times that "HAPPY HOUR ISN'T FOR ANOTHER HALF HOUR!" Both my husband and I were totally shocked that the very first encounter this guy had with a new table was so incredibly rude. Apparently this guy thinks that the only type of 'special' someone might be interested in is "Happy Hour", he wasn't sharp enough to tell me about a seasonal beer they had on tap, or a special margarita they're known for, or a new rum they just got in, or any other type of 'salesy' response. Heck, I probably would have paid MORE for some stupid drink 'special' suggestion. This certainly isn't the worst atrocity a server has ever committed, but I sure was taken aback, and on top of the other questionable experiences I've had there in the short time they've been open, I'm going to really think long and hard before I decide to have a drink on their patio again. Also disappointing that they only serve food off their sub-par and over priced menu rather than allowing food to be ordered from Tony's downstairs. We were excited to find a new place in Morrison and were not disappointed. Located on the roof top above Tony Rigatoni's Italian Kitchen, the outdoor seating has beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The staff was very friendly and the service was great. We ordered the street tacos from the short menu to have with our drinks. We tried one of each of the chicken, carnitas and vegetarian. All three were great.
