i ordered chicken 65 and goat biriyani. While their biriyani is out if the world, their chicken 65 was terrible. It was basically chicken tikka massala (dual use) with some curry leaves thrown over it. I had high expectations for 65, but stand very disappointed. Next time I will stick to biriyani only. 65 was a total waste of money. read more

I have never wrote a review on a restaurant in my life. This place was recommended to us through a friend of a friend. Well this was a indian food restaurant and it was the worst we ever had. I should have stopped when there was no one in the reasturant and the place looked like a cheap hot dog stand. I am rating this 1 star soley based in the food. The bread was the worst I ever had, the poori was flat and greasy and the naan was like eating white bread with no flavor. We ordered butter chicken and chicken Tikka masala and there was an inch of grease that we had to pour off the top. 1 dish was filled 3/4 full, 1 was not even half full. Since eating the food last night, I have had the worst heartburn in my life. read more

I have had the opportunity to eat Roohi's Biryani multiple times. My favorite is the Goat Biryani. Very tasty and spiced with the just the right amount of flavor, heat and deliciousness. Usually, goat is a fatty meat, but here, they cook the goat enough to help all of the fat melt away and in the process, it loses the gamey smell as well. Ordered some butter chicken, and chicken biryani for takeout from here. Butter chicken- really well cooked, flavorful and good portion size. It was nice and creamy served with a side of decent amount of rice. Chicken biryani - I loved the chicken biryani, it was really flavorful, right amount of spice level, garnished with fried onions and cilantro (yum). It was served with a side of Salan (currry sauce) and raita, which was great. The only downside was it didn't have an egg with it and the amounts of chicken pieces were less. I only got one little thigh and a really big bone in it. Overall, it's a great place to order from as the food is authentic, flavorful, comes close to home cooking, decently priced, and good portion size. On the downside, maybe my biryani was a fluke in terms of chicken pieces. But I will surely order from here again. read more

We have eaten their biriyani many times over the last 4-5 years from the time they were in Desi Food Galaxy. The quality control of their biriyani is amazing. The biriyani that we ate their last week tasted the exact same as that 3-4 years ago. The same wonderful flavor in the rice, the same softness of the chicken, and the same aroma of spices. The biryani is practically one of the best I've had. We always get the family style which feeds our family of three easily. Both the chicken and mutton biryani are amazing. Disappointed. Dropped in today to pick up a chicken biryani for $11-12. The biryani was mostly white rice!!!!! It had little to no flavor, the egg on top was cold... so I just ended up throwing it out. I could've made white rice at home myself lol. Wishing I had gone literally anywhere else for lunch. Ruhi is the loveliest lady who used to have a stall at Desi Food Galaxy. I've been enjoying her biryani (and her liver fry and fish fry and chicken 65,l) for several years now and was thrilled to learn she opened her own place. My friend and I stuffed ourselves silly for lunch 2 days ago - we got gobi 65, paneer tikka masala, egg biryani and garlic naan. I love Ruhi's biryani so much that I served her chicken biryani as a Thanksgiving dinner side for 25 of my family and friends last November. Having eaten Indian food all my life, I know that Ruhi has a very special talent with just the perfect combination of spices in her dishes. Roohi aunty's Biryani is lip smacking. Period. I was big fan of Paradise Biryani on Oaktree road but when i had Biryani from the Adda its the best i have eaten in the US till date. The meat is delicious and cooked really well. The rice is flavorful and non spicy which is the magic of the real authentic biryani. I eat this Biryani every week and iam not bored at all. I was craving for some good biryani and found this place on yelp. I read the reviews and wasn't really sure but decided to go with it. Although a little expensive than other places around the biryani was good, not very spicy but little too oily. It was like the authentic Hyderabadi biryani which is a nice thing about this place. I had vegetable biryani and chilly panner. Chilly panner was okay, wouldn't buy that again but would definitely try their biryani again. And $18 for veg biryani, definitely had a little more expectation from this place. read more

Customer service has gone down. They make mistake is order and tell that they'll honor replacement next time you come. When you call to get replacement along with other order, response is "oh that was so long time time ago" 2 weeks is apparently long time! And this for regular customer. read more
