I ordered pickup for lunch and walked from my office. By the time I got there, I was surprised that my order was ready all within the 10 minute walk. Quick and easy! I got the lunch special which includes two maki rolls and a house salad. I chose to get the crunchy roll and spicy yellowtail roll. Nothing crazy, pretty basic rolls. I would have liked equal ratios of fish to rice in the spicy yellowtail roll as you can see it's mostly rice. I don't normally order cooked rolls but I wanted to try something different and I enjoyed the crunchy roll... more than the other roll. (Made with shrimp tempura, avocado, and cream cheese) It was nice that they threw in a salad with the lunch special however the ginger dressing is not what you get at most other places, this is more of a mayo based. The sushi wasn't bad but don't expect the best of the best. All for $13, I would say that is a good deal. If you want sushi for quick and easy, this is an option.

This place is an affordable spot for a lunch outing during work. I got Combo A, the two sushi rolls: spicy salmon and regular salmon. Both were good and tasty! It comes with a salad. The lo mein wasn't bad! Lunch potion size but filled me up. The Singaporean noodles were good too so I would pick either or for noodles! Service was fast during their lunch rush uptown! Ambiance was okay! Nothing crazy. I will most likely come here again in the near future.

    Great food.

I absolutely love this place. I have taken all of my family to Thai establishment. Even though it's a eatery that I frequent while at work, I have come here several times in the evening to eat here. The dish I love is the garlic chicken. Oh so good. The owner/manager always knows what I want and it always comes out the same; hot and delicious. If you like Asian Cuisine, you must try this place! The pricing is very reasonable too!

My go-to sushi joint in uptown. Easy walk and consistently good. Cant go wrong w Combo B that comes w a maki and four nigiri (your choice)!!!

Spectacular. Just spectacular! This place has made it for over a decade in uptown Charlotte, which has been a revolving door for restaurants. It's quaint, and no frills, except for the food and service. They just grind here. One of the best sushi spots I've ever been to. Brandon, the manager, runs a tight ship. Go here!

They are currently only doing takeout due to COVID. Ordered Togo lunch - sushi combo and as always, was pleased with their sushi. Unfortunately, because I'm pregnant, I can only have cooked rolls, but they were still just as delicious. I went with the California and crab/cream cheese rolls. Super filling, super fresh, and satisfied the sushi craving. I had also ordered a spring roll, but that was missed in my order. That was the only downside to a perfectly delicious lunch. If you're in uptown, I highly recommend ordering from here, or enjoying a sit down meal when they reopen their dining room!

Rice noodles were good sushi 112 roll was B tier and katsu was so sad a missed opportunity

With it being my first time back in Fort Mill after sometime, I was ecstatic to see this place show up. Upon entrance, the elevated honeycomb seating on the right immediately caught my eye and I knew I had to sit there. The staff was polite in greeting me and provided recommendations after I sat down. For a drink, I decided to try the POKKA Oolong Tea, which was a toss up on whether I'd enjoy it. It was delicious and settled perfectly with all the food. For an appetizer, I decided to get the Tokoyaki which came in a solid portion and tasted great. For my ramen dish, I opted for a house favorite, Spicy Garlic Ramen with a level 2 heat. The whole dish was a perfect balance of tasty topping, well cooked noodles, and a delicious broth. The pork was so tender and of good quality. All in all, this place has such a wonderful atmosphere for grabbing some food by yourself or with friends. The small plates make for perfect sharing and the seating arrangement breeds a feeling of togetherness so often missing from dining experiences. The staff was so kind and helpful, and I even got to learn a bit about the beauty of Indonesia.

We arrived at 5:17 p.m., were greeted immediately, and seated right away. When I opened my menu, I was pleasantly surprised to see "Happy Birthday" printed across the top. Another thoughtful detail that made the evening feel special. Since we arrived early, the atmosphere was quiet, intimate, and honestly very romantic. We could actually hear each other talk without raising our voices. The lighting was perfectly dim--creating a cozy ambiance without making it difficult to see the menu. The service was equally enjoyable. Our waiter and waitress were attentive, friendly, and never overbearing, allowing us to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. As for the food, it was every bit as good as I remembered. The quality hasn't changed at all--fresh, beautifully prepared sushi with consistently excellent flavors. That's exactly why I keep coming back to O-Ku. You can always count on them for outstanding food, attentive service, and an overall dining experience that never disappoints.

We'd never tried Omakase before, but we've had other curated dining experiences. Upon arrival, we were seated immediately. Our waitress was pleasant, she started on beverages, and explained that the Omakase would be a two‑hour experience...totally fine. Within the first 20 minutes, our first dish arrived and it was excellent...But then...nothing. We waited, and waited, and waited. An entire hour passed before the next dish appeared. I pulled the waitress aside to check on the delay, she explained they had a sudden influx of customers but she'd ask the kitchen to move a little quicker. The food did start coming out after that, and the managers came over to address the delay, which I appreciated, but the damage was done. I wanted a memorable birthday experience for my daughter, and unfortunately it ended up being a bit of a disappointment considering the time and cost. The food itself was delicious, but poor pacing and lack of attention to the customer overshadowed the entire experience. I didn't ask for compensation but the managers took it upon themselves to comp my wine flight. I hope this was a one off experience but I can't say that I'll return to this restaurant.

It was our first visit and we wanted to try the curry. We ordered the Thai Red Curry and the Thai Green Curry. Both were perfection! These were both very good and we added shrimp and chicken. I believe they would be just a satisfying with only the vegetables. Over the weekend, we got to check out this new Japanese fusion place in South End…read more.. As anticipated, the place was very pretty and posh...with a sleek color motif of black and pink (one of my fave combos!). Since the weather was so nice, we decided to sit in their patio area...very nice! Can't say I loved the playlist (a bit busy and random...everything from soulful lounge music and hip hop, to Donna Summers, Salt 'n Pepper, etc.etc.), but I loved the overhead volume...giving the place a festive ambiance. I just hoped that the music would be a tad more relaxing and sophisticated...but then, I get it. Am sure the vast majority of folks coming here are in their 20's or 30's. Service was good. I think both Managers-Owners (?) stopped by our table to check on us...and our waitress did her best. However, we did find it odd that we had to ask for soy sauce and wasabi with our Unagi nigiri order. Maybe this had something to do with it being a fusion place? As for the menu, there were several tantalizing and interesting options. My husband and I both decided to start with 2 orders of Unagi (as an appetizer). Then we agreed to share their signature dish, Lobster Fried Rice, as well as 2 sushi rolls, "The Genie" and "Kimchi Fried Chicken". We also finished our meal with their Panna Cotta (with Strawberry). Well, we both thoroughly enjoyed everything...but our favorites were the Lobster Fried Rice and the Panna Cotta. Sushi Rolls were good, but I felt I've had better? The Lobster Fried Rice, however, was possibly THE best Fried Rice dish I've had to date! The Panna Cotta was amazing too...just wished there were a bit more of it? BTW, I liked their cocktail, "Lotus Milk Punch"...but here's the thing. Despite the lofty price point, there just wasn't much of it...as there was this big block of ice taking all the space (just as with Whiskey drinks). Also, I didn't feel that it was strong enough. So here's where I dock a star. I feel that when a drink is this expensive (20?!?), it should be well worth it. Despite the good taste, it fell a bit short on its stingy portion and weak alcohol content. One other minus I must mention is the lack of parking here. You just have to drive around until you find a space along the road. It's a good thing we came early! Still, this is a great, new addition to Charlotte...and it's a cute spot for a date night or a girl's night out. I'd definitely wouldn't mind returning to try a few more items on the menu...and a repeat order of their amazing Lobster Fried Rice!
