This review is based off the chile relleno burrito that I ordered. My girlfriend and I ordered the XL size with pork as the meat. It was a good burrito! The pork was juicy and not overly salty. The chile relleno could have been spicier, but that's just my opinion. The batter for the chile was thin and not oily. I liked this burrito because it was not oily as are many burritos. This is probably the saddest experience I have ever had in at any food establishment. While on my way to Rosa Maria's tonight I called in an order for a BRC burrito and the girl on the phone had told me that they had run out of tortillas. It was 7:22pm when I called and they close at 8 so I thought it could be true but very unlikely because I have been ordering from them for years now right around 7pm. I continued driving to the establishment and ordered in person and they said nothing about not having any tortillas. I understand to go's are a hassle especially when you are getting around the time to close but seriously, no tortillas? Wanted to tell the manager but he was already dealing with another customer who had got the wrong order. Hope a change is made so I don't have to go elsewhere for my Mexican food. read more

First time there... arrived 11:05 am and asked if we could still order breakfast and was told no, Breakfast ends at 11. Looked around...no customers just us. Of all the small Mexican places there are in CA, this is by far my favorite. If I could eat their food every day and not get fat I would. They're handmade tortillas are delicious. Food is adequate but service is lacking. They have a Groupon for $10 that comes with 2 burritos, 2 drinks, and 2 a la carte items. It was the only reason why we came. Get up to the counter to order and the guy tells my wife that there are restrictions on the a la carte items you can choose and the chile relleno she wanted she couldn't have. Not something you tell a pregnant woman who has had a long day at work. The guy was pretty rude about it. There were no restrictions listed on the Groupon. Probably won't be coming back. read more

My family and I ate here tonight. It may have been because it was close to closing time but the food was cold. This always "sounds good" to my family...I love the Jr. Chile Verde Bean and Jack Cheese Burrito, Tacos, Tostadas. My kids love the Jr. Bean & Cheese with Guac on the inside and the Cheese quesadillas, my husband loves the tacos, tostadas, and recently tried and enjoyed the Chile Colorado burrito. Every time I come in to this location it smells like bathroom cleaner. That in addition to the fact that it's warm makes for a nasty odor. Makes me sick to me stomach. Going here thinking we were going to get some great tasting Mexican food close to home, we were wrong and extremely disappointed. We ordered their "garbage" burrito and their quesadilla. We've had garbage burritos and they have the anorexic version of it lol. Their quesadilla was more of a wet flour tortilla with a soupy texture inside. Always the bomb. Nostalgic and authentic burrito joint. Can't go wrong with the garbage burrito. Chili verde is on point. Quesadilla is thee best ever! Tacos, beans, rice...whatever...it's all good. Nothins as good as the original on Sierra Way, but this is our regular stop and never disappoints. We live "up the hill" and they even wrap our stuff so that it's still warm when get home. Their burritos are mostly tortilla not a lot of meat, beans etc. The TORTILLA is hard to cut with a fork. Sorry Rosa Maria's this customer won't be back again for a long time if ever. We have been going to Rosa Maria's in San Bernardino for at least 10 years. Now the one on Base Line in Fontana is easy to get to from the freeway, so we stop there when we need a break from driving. I have read a lot of negative reviews, and that is why there are so many places serving this type of food. You can find one that suits your tastes. Rosa Maria's is our choice. I think their chicken is some of the best ever, while my husband likes the beef tacos and the garbage burrito. The chicken enchiladas are awesome, and so are the tacos. If you are near Sierra in San Bernardino, visit that one because some of the family still work there. However is all outdoor seating. So if you are looking for comfort this is not for you. read more

Well as a Mexican American who grew up in ELA, I consider myself a Mexican food expert. This place is clean and the service was great. We received our food in a timely manner. This was the first Mexican restaurant that I have been to in my 51 years that did not serve Carne Asada, only choices in meat were pork and chicken. I had my first Rosie's back in 1985 when there was only one location. Since then I moved many places too far to drive, but still had the Burrito Jones for Rosie's fresh handmade tortillas and pepper sauce. Today, I live in Long Beach, and every now and then I get in my car to drive 60 miles to get a flavor that can only be found at Rosa Maria's. If you are traveling to or from Vegas from the LA area, it is easy to find right off I-15 on Baseline. The perfect pit-stop to or from. And if you stop in on a Saturday (or Sunday in Fontana), you may actually see other Rosie's addicted people getting a few boxes to go, or a party burrito or two leave the store. I come here 1-2 a week and today will be my last!!!! I have been a loyal customer to you guys and you treat me like this for $20 order. Let me explain. My coworkers call in a phone order and I goto pick it up. I drive from work to rosa's which is 30 min round trip. They give me the wrong order they give me #97 instead of #99. I understand it was a mistake. So I drive all the way back because Rosas is good and worth the drive. They tell me that they can't compensate me for the trouble and I should pay attention to the register girl when she is reading back my order. I reminded him it was a phone Order. took a friend from work here today for lunch and i ordered a chile relleno with a taco combo. I ate the taco first and it was pretty good, i could eat a few of these. The chile relleno was awful. soggy and no flavor, no very much cheese. It wasn't as bad as Alberto's but it was bad and i would never order it again. Rosa Maria's is a very tasty location to grab the world famous garbage burrito. I prefer the green sauce but the red sauce is also delicious. This is not a restaurant for "ambiance" but for a hardcore delicious burrito. I have eaten a million burritos and few if any are as incredible as the garbage burrito here.
