Glad i came yesterday for dinner everything was delicious. i had the mole enchiladas and they were the best i've had in a long time. There chips are fresh and crisp & I'm sure they're made in house. The plate i got allows you to chose your 2 sides so instead of just rice & beans i had their fideo & choripappas (potatoes & chorizo are so yummy). will definitely be back soon. Best thing on the menu is the el capitan taco. It's Absolutely amazing. Me and my dad take my grandpa here on saturdays when he gets out of dialysis and he loves the shrimp tacos here. Definitely a new favorite spot of ours. Family friendly environment that's great place to stop in for lunch. read more

My husband got the soft chicken tacos and a burrito. He said both were great and the meat was very flavorful. I got a hard shell taco and the messy taquitos and I'm undecided on which one was better because they were both so delicious! They have a salsa bar with soft carrots, and cucumbers. A lot of places have carrots but they are not soft they are hard and have zero taste. These soft carrots are so yummy and they have a kick! The salsas were all very good. I would of liked for them to serve chips with your order but this was the only thing lacking. And, I was dying to taste their strawberry nachos but I was just too full! They also serve breakfast. Stopped by Rosario Taco Grill after seeing good reviews on Yelp. This is a family run place with a nice interior vibe, and was clean. Came on a Saturday afternoon and the place was fairly busy with customers. Ordered two fish tacos and a carne asada burrito to-go. It took 45 minutes to get our food and a few people who ordered after we did got food well ahead of us. After 35 minutes, I went to the counter to ask about the status and was told they were just making the fish tacos, thus the order wasn't started when we actually paid at the counter. No comments or apologies given for the long delay. Finally got the food and took it home to eat. The tacos were on the large size as fish tacos go and I probably should have just gotten one. Good amount of fish in the taco, but one was completely missing salt or any other type of seasoning. The carne asada burrito, for my husband, was okay. Wish my experience here had been better as I pass by almost daily and am always on the look out for a new restaurant to add into my take out rotation. read more

I had a California Taco , just felt so healthy and it was delicious. My boys shared a chicken quesadilla, which they always finish but the portion here was just way too much we had to take it home. This review is based solely on the Menudo! I have not tried anything else from this restaurant! So it's the weekend. The hubby is running around nurseries and gardening stores shopping for plants and grass while I am sleeping at home (ok, I was hooked on Netflix and didn't want to get up to make breakfast)! He gets home with three large containers of Menudo! He says some man from one of the nurseries told him about this place. He referred to it as a tiny little hole in the wall! So it comes to a total of $30 and change! You get the regular: oregano, lemons, red chilli pepper seeds, cilantro, onions and are you ready for this? (Drumroll please) HOMEMADE CORN TORTILLAS! Freshly made BY HAND! The Menudo was so clean, tasted really good! The tripe is cut in to small chewable pieces! My kids didn't have to keep gnawing on it over and over! I also liked that you can get it with or without any hominy and yes... It is still considered "Authentic" (as many of us Yelpers usually refer to our food)! As for me I love Menudo however it comes at me! If in the area you have two places to try Menudo in this shopping center! I would say give this place a try! Update: after this review was left this establishment fraudulently charged my credit card an additional charge. Be careful and use cash. Hard shell chicken taco was good. Hard shell beef taco was flavorless boiled beef. No taste. Don't waste your money on the carne asada nachos. You get chips with hardened broiled cheese that is just barely scattered over. The "carne asada" is a cheap cut of chuck that has been way over seasoned and WAY over peppered. The old lady running this place seems super nice to people she knows and even waits on them. If she doesn't know you refills are not free and you definitely do not get treated like your business was appreciated. In the end I've always seen this place around and for $40 I never have to wonder if it's worth eating at again. Save your money - go to the new Pepes. read more

This place is in a strip mall that actually has two taco places... but its super clean and legit! They have a bathroom and everything. Maddy had the the "hard shell" shredded beef taco which had a great fresh tortilla shell- super thin and buttery- she said it was the best taco she ever had- it was tasty, I had one too Holden had the bean and cheese burrito- he loved it with the salsa from the salsa bar I had the taco mentioned above and a chile relleno combo- so much excellence with the gooey melted cheese from the relleno mixed to perfection from the rice and a touch of th beans. read more

Has anyone really looked at what you bought for the high price you paid? We have gone multiple times in the past, but things changed to where you only get a few pieces of chicken going up the side of the shell to make you believe you got a chicken taco. Reality, you paid for a lettuce taco. Also, ordered chicken taquitos, mushy, yuk! I called them and asked if they put potatoes in them & yes they do! I didn't ask nor want potatoes, it doesn't state they do. So for 4 hard shell (chicken) lettuce tacos & 1 order of chicken/potatoes taquitos cost $22.83! GO elsewhere, I won't go there again. Overall: this is my favorite place to get pozole in the morning! The service: the staff here is so friendly! Everything is made to order and fresh - so sometimes it takes a while to get your order - the staff is always apologetic if the food is a little slow and always tries hard to get your order to you as soon as possible! They always check up on you during your visit to make sure everything turned out just right. The pozole: is absolutely fantastic! The meat is always tender, succulent, and flavorful. The broth is so savory and rich and delicious. The hominy is of perfect consistency and texture - never too firm or too soft. The regular order is enough for almost two meals for me! But wait, it's not finished yet: bacon, caramelized onions AND a side of fries on top This casual spot doesn't have a ton of seating, but the amount of menu items will have you reeling like a kid in a grocery store's cereal section. There are so many items to choose from it's hard to be decisive. So look at the pictures on Yelp or see what people are ordering and it should help. The portions here for the price are impressive. In fact the owners here used to own another family style restaurant nearby and when they closed I cried. To top it off the service here is great. The two who helped us were very nice. I even changed my order and when I left I forget she didn't charge me for the difference. It's details like that turn a one-time visitor into a loyal customer. If I lived closer I'd be there weekly. BUT I also have something for food tasting better when you have to travel for it (it's not as easily accessible). If you love Mexican food like I do this place is a must visit. The food it good, but a little pricey. Friendly staff every time we come in. Three issues I have: 1.) Have the entire order out at the same time, so that everyone is eating together, and not at different times. 2.) If we are to bus our own tables, provide more trash cans and more space to put the plates. 3.) The items are a little pricey especially for not being full service. We will probably be back, but would love if they would place more trash cans or let us know they'll remove the plates from our table before hand. Love this little local gem on Whittier Blvd. They have the closest quality to the tacos I grew up with in Chula Vista (San Diego) about 10 min north of the border. They have the usual taco shop options such as tortas, tacos and burritos but offer so much more. They have everything between beef chile Colorado and chicken mole, chilaquiles and menudo or pozole (everyday). I have never taken a bite into a chewy piece of fat here. Some people enjoy that... to each their own, but I don't care for places that don't trim the fat very well so Rosarito tacos scores huge in quality in my book. This is our go to for breakfast also because not only are their breakfast options hard to make a decision from, but it beats waiting over an hour for other breakfast places especially when you are moody because you really need that cup of coffee.
