It looks like mainly a takeout spot with many locals stopping in, but there were a couple of dine-in patrons while we were there also. Our waitress was so friendly and hospitable. Good vibes. She greeted us when we entered and took care of us, especially with my husband's dietary needs (vegetarian). We ordered nachos and guacamole to share. I went with enchiladas rojas (chicken). Other orders were enchiladas verde (cheese) and a variety of tacos. We left happy with full bellies. You know a place is good when there are multiple hot sauce options on the table, and they bring out a bunch of squeeze-bottle salsas with your food. Had we been told from the beginning that the wait would be over an hour, we could have made an informed decision about whether to stay. The overcrowding was also concerning. The restaurant appeared to be admitting more people than it could comfortably accommodate, creating a chaotic atmosphere and resulting in very slow service. Unfortunately, the food did not make up for the wait. The dishes lacked flavor and seemed rushed. When we asked about the status of our food, we were essentially told that the restaurant was busy and that there was nothing that could be done. While we understand that holidays are challenging for restaurants, customers still deserve communication, empathy, and basic customer service. What disappointed us most was not the long wait itself--it was the lack of acknowledgment and concern from the staff throughout the evening. A sincere apology or some effort to address the inconvenience would have gone a long way. Sadly, this experience left a very bad impression, and we are seriously reconsidering whether we will return.
