Italian Beef with cheese. Mushrooms and fries. Just the way I like it. Loaded with cheese. Delicious.

Love this place's Chicago Style Deep Dish Cheese Pizza Love this place's Chicago Style Deep Dish Cheese Pizza Going to order those pizzas tonight.

We admittedly ordered a mere 25 minutes before Corona closing time at 7:45, but I am still a customer. My pizza was undercooked and the box was so so soggy that my delivery driver had to call and warn me to pick it up by the bottom. It was so important to close down that we threw my pizza directly in the box and then into the delivery bag. A waste of $40. I'll stick to Domino's going forward. The order was placed June 7.

The coupon they didn't let me use....

Foods ok. A little over priced. Didn't like that I called in an order to use the buy any menu item at regular price receive a second item of equal or lesser value coupon found on their web site, only to be told it was for pizza and pasta only. Read the coupon directly word for word and still somehow I was wrong. I even offered to send a picture or print the coupon my self. If my gf wasn't so set on what she ordered I would have just canceled. Please update your website or offer the coupons offered. Poor customer service.

They recognized early that Richmond sits on a corridor of movement--Chicago flowing north toward Lake Geneva, that Midwestern analogue to the Riviera--and made a legitimate attempt to create a stop where people could sit down, slow down, and share a meal. I still remember my first visit, back when Paisano's had maybe five tables. I was seated next to none other than Dan Rostenkowski, then Speaker of the House. That moment captured something about the place: it aspired to be part of a broader, more connected world than Richmond typically experiences. The concept has always been clear--family-style, approachable Italian, positioned as a step above casual dining. And to their credit, they've maintained consistency over the years. That said, the food itself lands squarely in the "acceptable" category. Not offensive, not memorable--reliably mediocre. It satisfies the requirement of a meal without ever quite justifying a detour. Yet here's the reality: within a five-mile radius, Paisano's remains the only place where you can reasonably take someone on a sit-down date without apology. That alone gives it staying power. Paisano's isn't trying to be extraordinary--and it doesn't quite get there. But it filled a vacuum when it arrived, and in many ways, it still does.

We had heard they were busy, many times with wait times. So we were surprised. The ambiance is really nice, A really nice Italian dinner restaurant. I started with an Old Fashioned and it was one of the better ones I have had. They really nailed it. There are a couple on their menu so I was sure to say "not the one with soda/selter". That a Wisconsin one :) We asked if the Caesar was large enough to split to start. They said yes. Great. There were 3 tables filled so it was finally not empty. Not sure why the bar seating was empty- looked like a great place to sit too. After ten minutes we gave our order, Chicken Piccata for my wife and I had the Pork Chop special. The waiter didn't come by and we didn't get our salad. He was busy making drinks for one larger party (the 4th table). Finally our entree's came. I asked what happened to our salad. He looked confused. I reminded him we asked if it was large enough to split and we would start with it. He was genuinely sorry. It happens. Then we ate the entree's. My wife's Chicken was flavorful and served hot. It was very good. My pork chop was closer to room temp rather than hot. The flavor was really good. Unfortunately I have a thing about eating my food hot, not on the cold side. I told the waiter. He was sorry and asked if he could have them heat it up. I passed .... Didn't want dryer food while my wife ate alone. The manager came over and insisted it didn't sit at the window. Not sure WHY he wanted to argue this point. I offered the plate so he could taste or even feel the dish at that point. He seemed genuinely wanting to help, but he didn't need to make us feel like we were wrong. Again - not the end of the world. So why 3 stars? My wife's food was great. The taste of mine was good. They didn't charge us for my dinner. Their Old Fashioned was out of this world (ask Omar to make it). The truth is we want to try it again and see if this was a glitch. If it wasn't a glitch, it's why they weren't packed on a Friday night.

We tried the spaghetti marinara and antipasto salad, but watched mouth watering pizza pies go by as well as giant, juicy looking Italian beef sandwiches. We also spotted an authentic brick pizza oven which was a pleasant surprise. Bonta is a no frills spot, and has pre-rolled plastic flatware, so don't expect anything fancy, the food was the star here! There was plenty of seating and is located in a strip mall off 21/Milwaukee Avenue, in Lincolnshire with convenient parking. I can't wait to go back and try the pizza!

Tuscany Bistro: Nice on Paper, Unwelcome When It Counts…read more Tuscany Bistro carries itself well; white linens, polished service staff, the kind of presentation that signals you're somewhere a step above the usual. In Kenosha, it's the closest thing we have to proper fine dining Italian. That promise matters, especially when you're hosting important guests. Tonight, I brought two key suppliers, one from Portland, one from India with twelve years in Paris and a refined palate. They'd both flown in to see me, and I wanted them to feel welcomed and valued in my hometown. Our server deserves credit; he was attentive, knowledgeable, genuinely good at his craft. The wine came promptly. So did our meals. But the moment the food landed, cracks appeared. My Portland colleague got lasagna that tasted solid but looked like it had been scooped onto the plate without thought. My filet mignon was genuinely good, but the potatoes came out overcooked and tough on the outside, their skins inedible. The greens were bland, underseasoned. The salad earlier had been forgettable, not even average. Then, at eight forty, the real problem started. The staff began clearing tables loudly. Within minutes, they were yelling across the dining room to each other. At nine o'clock sharp, the lights came completely up and the music shut off entirely. Staff voices got louder: "goodnight, bye" echoing repeatedly, clearly meant as a signal. At nine twenty, the manager appeared and essentially told us they were closed. Here's what makes this worse: they don't close until nine thirty. That's their published closing time on a weeknight. We had a seven forty-five reservation. They gave us forty-five minutes of dinner service before treating us like we'd overstayed our welcome. You don't do that in a restaurant of this caliber. You don't do it when guests are still dining. You absolutely don't do it during a business meeting where first impressions matter. Our server was clearly caught between his training and a directive from above; he never even offered dessert or another round of wine, he just brought the check. The food had potential. The service was undermined by poor management. But the message was clear: your reservation time doesn't matter once their clock hits nine. Tuscany Bistro wants to feel upscale. It needs to act like it.

So, last night was that time! We walked in about 5:15 on a Sunday afternoon, and they were pretty busy! In addition, they had a guy singing acoustically with his guitar, pretty sweet! We were quickly seated, and water came instant instantaneously along with the menus. I ordered a cocktail and hubby stuck with water. He is, after all, the designated driver tonight. We decided to order Arancini and bruschetta for appetizers, while we ordered a margherita pizza for our main. Very quickly, the appetizer showed up - and the arancini's were small, but very warm to the touch and the bruschetta, while small at only four pieces, had lots of mozzarella, tomatoes, and olive oil on them just the way we like it! Needless to say, the appetizers killed it. But what about the pizza? You may ask well, it showed up and it was very hot- not only was it delicious, but it was the first pizza we've had since arriving in Chicago that had a a crust that tasted like many pizzas we ate in California - that was not a bad thing. While we sat there eating and enjoying the music, we commented on how pleasant and simple the restaurant was and more importantly, the staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Do we recommend this restaurant? Yup, and it's now on our rotation list! Try it and tell us what you think will you?
