Pizza here is very good. While we love the deep dish lately we are hung up on the thin crust. Meatballs are tender and flavorful. Two things they need to work on. Order pickup times are usually not accurate. Website quotes 45 minutes for thin crust and usually ready in about half the time. The other, the staff isn't always the most hospitable. When spending your hard earned covid dollars we'd at least like to feel welcome when we come to pick up vs being an annoyance. I can overlook all that for quality food tho. read more

We LOVE this place! Can tell why they've been in business since 1964 :) We got a flyer in the mail so decided to give them a shot while our truck got worked on and we were home without hitting the grocery store in a few days. Got a 16" pizza w/ 4 toppings, cinnamon sticks & 2-liter for approx $33 before tip- TOTALLY worth it and now we don't have to worry about our main course for today and breakfast tomorrow! This is supposed to be an authentic Chicago style deep dish pizza experience. I am personally more of a NY style pizza guy but this lasagna like pizza was fine. As you can see in the pics that the pizza was thick enough with enough cheese to give it that lasagna like texture. In my few trips to Chicago I have had lots of deep dish pizzas that were great. This is an authentic Chicago mom and pop style chain. It was nice to have Chicago style pizza again. Rosati's is a chain that originated in Chicago. While it falls short of the best local Chicago deep dish pizza places, they still put out a damn tasty deep-dish pizza and McKinney is so much closer than Illinois. After guzzling down a half dozen beers at the beer week kickoff party at Franconia brewery , my friends and I had to get a bite to eat. My friends, originally from Chicago, suggested Rosati's since they hadn't had it in Texas yet. The garlic breadsticks were good with a real chopped garlic topping. The deep-dish pizza only comes in two sizes. The large has 10 slices and easily feeds four people. We ordered a large super supreme and scarfed it down in no time. I was thoroughly stuffed after two slices. The crust was delicious - crispy but not hard and not greasy. The cheese was rich and stringy when pulling slices out of the pie. The green peppers added a fresh crunch and the meats were plentiful. Overall, the best deep-dish pizza I've had in DFW and worthy of the Chicago-style label. read more

The lady who was wiping down tables was giving away seats that we had and giving them to others people behind us. The cashier worker was rude and snapped back at us just for asking for water cups. The only pizza in the area that truly represents Chicago. Lightly air-tossed, pressed just right, flavorful sauce and nicely portioned fresh mozzarella. You can tell it's not the dried out stuff that's been sitting. Had to give a 5 if for no other reason than that they know what giardiniera is. With the selection of appetizers, beef and sausage sandwiches, Dean Martin music and warm decor, I can almost pretend I'm in a small Italian restaurant in Little Italy. Our server Kathy was warm, friendly and stayed on top of our drinks. She never stopped moving....cleaned everything, even the pictures! We like pizza and were hungry, so no judging....we had one 18" 1/2 & 1/2 pizza, one 12" just cheese, fried mozzarella, fried zucchini, buffalo boneless wings, side salad and buffalo chicken salad....for 4 adults and one child. Delivery driver couldn't find apartment. It's called a map and follow the numbers. Turned around then told me to contact Grubhub for refund because she already turned back. Both her and the manager made it seem as if I messed up the address when clearly that was not the case. Did not try to resolve or offer any fix, just a refund. 0 stars if I could. Upper management should teach these 2 how to properly be self solvers. Funny thing I've ordered 2 times before and they found my apartment each time. Funny how that works when you put in some effort. This is probably the best pizza in McKinney. Me and my fiancé try to eat extremely clean and really dislike fast food. We do want the occasional pizza and we always choose a thin crust large pizza with pepperoni from Rosati's. We're a huge fan of the tiramisu and we love their garlic, olive oil and lightly cheesed breadsticks. The phone is always answered in a polite manner and our order gets to us before the delivery time. We feel like Pizza Hut and Domino's taste awful after ordering from Rosati's. I am originally from Chicago, so I know what Chicago style pizza taste like and this was the closest I have had since coming here.

I'm from Chicago and I love Rosati's. This was a great taste of home! The pizza is delicious, but the beef is not great. I prefer Portillos or Buona. Here's the thing tho, I've only ordered a few times and twice the pizza was slid. The first time I called and was given credit, the slide was blamed on the driver. THIS time however, I know without a shadow of a doubt that the slide happened IN THE KITCHEN! How do I know? The cheese that was slide off was very burnt on the bottom, which means it happened in the oven! That also means they took it out, saw the slid cheese, and went ahead and cut it up, boxed it, and sent it out anyways. Really? That's incredibly rude to do. Someone in the kitchen OBVIOUSLY SAW THE SLID CHEESE and didn't care. I wonder what else happens? Maybe some pepperoni fell on the floor and they put it back on? How can I know? My confidence is shook when I see people send food out that they can clearly see is messed up, it makes you wonder what "else" they let "slide". The slid cheese is no big deal, but to see it happened in the kitchen and was sent out regardless is some bs. They CUT the pizza, so they ABSOLUTELY saw the slide. I love rosatis but this place needs to stop with the cheese slides. 2 out of 4 times I've ordered, that's not good. Figure it out man. I had a manager in the first slide tell me that it just can't be avoided sometimes. Well, I was a manager at Nicks pizza in Chicago for about 5 years and we made 27" pizzas. Sometimes it slides but when it does it's because of a MISTAKE. Putting it in and taking it out takes skill for sure, but it can be done. Then you LET IT COOL before you cut it and send it out. When it's busy, wave a circle over it to fan it quickly. Don't just throw it in a box and send it out with the driver instantly, and if it's slid coming out of the oven CALL THE CUSTOMER and make a new one. Dang. This stuff ain't cheap! Although the wait time seemed a bit excessive (60-80 minutes) we thought this would be better than One of the big chain delivery pizza places. Ordered online and the order was accepted and confirmed and paid via Grubhub. Waited patiently .... No pizza. Called. Order canceled by the restaurant. What? Really? Called Grubhub. When you order a Chicago style pizza, there are a few things you have in mind. First, the sauce has to be very pronounced and tasty. Second, the toppings should definitely compliment the sauce. I ordered a thin n crispy pizza n it wasn't anything like the flyer that was sent out. I dined in and the cashier/server said it'll be 25 mins..... 15 mins later the pizzas were at my table. I ordered a cheese pizza and a pizza with pepperoni and onions. I asked her were both pizzas cheese pizzas cause that's all I saw on both. My pizza wasn't made the way a pizza should be made. It started with sauce, toppings and a gang of cheese on top. The when I bit into it everything slid off the pizza cause the cheese was on top. The crust in the middle of the pizza was soggy as hell. I only ate the edges of the pizza. The cashier didn't have sense to ask was the pizza ok. If so I would've told her. I should've gotten a refund n went to Grimaldi's and got pizza. Update after earlier review. Received an email from the owner saying they addressed the issues, asking for another visit. Went back tonight (Friday) the waiter was fantastic, looking at the other staff it's clear that the attitudes have changed for the the better. The chop salad less chicken is back! I've had the deep dish and thin crust and both fill my craving for Chicago style pizza. I Recently I also ordered the family size pastas and they were delicious! This is NOT Chicago deep dish pizza. It shouldn't even be advertised as such either. It reminded me of an overpriced rendition of pizza hut pan pizza with sone sauce slapped on top. I should've followed my gut to cancel the order when they told me the cook time for it. The cook time was 20-25mins. I asked the guy about the cook time and his response was it doesn't take that long here. True Chicago deep dish takes about 40mins or more to cook. When I got to the place and saw the pizza, I was like this can't be what they're calling Chicago deep dish. If it had not been for me needing to get back home immediately because I was expecting someone, I would've canceled it and left it. Time constraint is the only reason this pizza made it back to my place. The dough wasn't cooked enough. They skimped on toppings. I took one bite and was like this ain't it...trash. It made my wife sick so it ended up in the trash. It was money wasted for sure. All the ppl saying this place reminded them of home must have not been eating good pizza at home in Chicago either. True Chicago deep dish takes longer to cook. The toppings are layered from the bottom to the top correctly. Sauce is spread evenly on the top with parm sprinkled on top with the edges cooked to slightly well done. Everything on the pizza with sauce included should be even with the edges of the pizza. This was NOT that! You should be able to taste everything in one bite. True Chicago deep dish is a fork and knife type pizza in my opinion when done right. There's only 8 tables inside, so not the biggest place. Pizza took maybe 20 minutes, not bad at all. More like 2.5. Been wanting to try this place for over 2 years now. Probably coulda kept waiting. Ricotta is usually my favorite pizza topping, but there is a definite difference between GOOD ricotta and the ricotta you can get at the grocery store for a couple of bucks. If you know you know. This kind was not good. I scraped it off as much as I could not good. I should have gone with my gut instinct and left it off, but I always kinda have to judge a new place by their ricotta, so...there's that. The thin crust is meh. Not good not bad. Could be crispier. Sauce was very good (and I'm very picky). Cheese was very good, but makes everything slide off suuuuper easily. Another pizza we ordered was supposed to have no sauce. It was even confirmed on the receipt that came taped to the pizza box. It came with lots of tomato sauce. The person who ordered that cannot have tomatoes, so she couldn't really eat. Pasta was underwhelming. Portion was not very large for the price and a bit undercooked. Cheesecake is average. Wouldn't order it again, but it was fine. Also kinda annoying they send you a coupon for your first order after you already order (or at least send it while you're in the middle of ordering, so you don't see it until after and they don't tell you they will be sending it when you register), but ah well. That would have helped. Overall I liked it okay, but wasn't blown away and likely won't return. Others who ate with me were even less impressed. The price of the pizza was pretty great, but overall an eh experience, especially with so many pizza places in the area. read more
