Their Chicago deep dish pizza is amazing. I have gotten it numerous times to go. Recently, my mom was in town visiting and I took her there to try it. Customer Service was excellent. They made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to fulfill a request for my mom. The pizza itself was great. Super unimpressed by my online ordering experience. 4 orders, 2 of them pizza. The kitchen called us to say they didn't have peppers as requested for one pizza and didn't have anchovies as requested for the second pizza. When we tried to select a substitute pizza topping, we were informed the pizza had already been put in the oven?! Why even call us, just to say 'Rosati's is out of what you wanted so we're just gonna make you pizzas without the toppings'! Also, the Doordash delivery guy dropped off the pizza at cold temperatures. So they didn't even hurry to get us the pizza we didn't order! And, they cut their pizza into tiny squares, like the pizza you'd get from the school cafeteria. Who does this? A pizza slice should be a wedge, with an edge of crust to hold it by! I was scrolling through DoorDash, looking for dinner ideas when I stumbled across Rosati's. I hadn't had deep dish pizza in years and suddenly it appealed to me. So I found their website and found I could order directly from them, which is way better than paying extra fees on DoorDash. I took my time exploring the website. Started on mobile but I would recommend using the desktop better because it navigates much easier. There are a lot of pizza choices and each one makes the price jump up. Using the desktop version of the site is useful if you're a newb. This place has everything. I think Bubba from Forest Gump could go on about it. He'd say they have thin crust pizza, pan pizza, double dough pizza, deep dish pizza, regular pizza, no crush pizza, wings, salad, pasta, chicken, ribs, breadsticks, cinnamon sticks, friend shrimp, shrimp on the cob, barbecue shrimp (some of this stuff isn't accurate but they have a lot of options!). I thought their family special looked like a good deal if you have an army to feed! I decided to go with the Deep Dish. The smallest size you can get is 12 inch. The best deal for me was the pick 4 type. Gives you a small break on paying for each individual topping. Don't forget to check for coupon codes. This is a chain so they have some sometimes. I found one for 20% off. Score! Deep dish pizza is not cheap. I ordered online and it was easy, except one strange thing. I was a guest and they didn't ask for my email address. I never got a confirmation on my phone. They did ask for my number, but no text. So I left the computer behind, got in the car, realized I had no type of confirmation and then thought... guess I'm stepping out on faith here. Here we go! When I got to Rosati's, nobody was there. They had my pizza ready as soon as I stepped through the door. I felt like the guy was psychic! How did he automatically know it was me? An unexpected bonus. No wonder I didn't need a confirmation email. I barely had to step out of the car before I was on my way ago. No hassle at all. I don't know what I was expecting but I didn't expect the pizza to be so much. The 12 inch is... really enough for 2-3 people. Deep dish pizzas are thick. Each slice packs a lot of cheese (yay!) crust and topping. It's not really a pizza you can slam slice after slice. This is going to last me a while. But I felt like I got my money's worth. The pizza was still hot, despite the fact that I took my time driving there and then drove home. The cheese was thick and plentiful. They were generous with the topping. The pizza felt heavy but not like too much on the stomach. It was good. It reminded me of the last time I had deep dish in Chicago. I don't think it was too much different except I think Chicago's deep dish was a bit deeper. All in all, next time I have a deep dish craving, I will be back! read more

While I can't compare with the authentic version in Chicago, this certainly was a wonderful first time experience. Now I gotta try the real deal when I visit the windy city next time. I ordered online Rosati's 12" Chicago Deep Dish pizza for 16 bucks using the Slice app and opted for takeout. Located in a shopping plaza shared with a Taco Bell, Rajbhog Cafe, Apna Bazaar, etc. Their dining area is quaint and small but they do have outdoor seating as well. For those of you unfamiliar with Chicago Deep Dish pizza, it's a pizza that's basically assembled backwards. You got the dough and then they put a hefty amount of cheese and then finally the tomato sauce on the very top. It was like eating a better version of gooey cheesy bread goodness and the sweet tangy tomato sauce on top was icing on the cake. The oh so buttery crunchy crust provided a perfect finish to each slice. Each slice was so addicting, and it was so hard to stop myself that I almost could have eaten the whole pie in one go - a testament to how delicious it was. All in all, a fantastic experience. We like the food at Rosati's. It is all very tasty, from the pasta to the deep dish pizza. We did try to dine inside a couple of times though and neither were good experiences. Because we like the food, we will continue to order take out, but the level of customer service and lack of ambiance have created disappointing dine-in experiences. The dining room is small, and the last time we were there it was crowded with many members of the owners' family. It was distracting how much they were going in and out of the kitchen and moving around the small dining room. Also, a coupon that we brought wasn't honored the last time we dined there, even though there were no limitations stated on the GoPlaySave coupon. Born and raised in Chicago and moving here at 30 years old, I can say this is the best Chicago style tavern pizza in Raleigh, Nancy's is the only other option I believe and I choose Rosatis every time. Of course you aren't in Chicago but this satisfies my craving for Chicago thin crust and makes me happy I at least have an option to get real tavern pizza. I used to live in Holly Springs and they delivered to me for a-little extra charge, even though I was out of the delivery zone and I just moved to apex and they sent an 18" inch instead of a 14" just because. Have ordered from this Pizzaria for about 4 years and dined in 3-4 times with visitors and family. Food is always hot, delicious and satisfying. Dining in is easy as well. My dissatisfaction is with number 1, the On-line application used to preorder for pick-up and number 2, calling in preorder. I have done both in order to have it ready when I arrive and not to have to wait 30-40 minutes after my arrival. This has happened 3 times with call-ins and 2 times with the on-line ordering app. It became worse after I was charged by the on-line app then found out that the order was not even prepared after a 12-hour notice. On top of that I was charged again by the establishment because they did not see any notice of the preorder. I had to wait 45 minutes for the order as well. When I asked the staff to rectify and return the second charge to my Credit Card I was told to call the on-line ordering app myself. After several minutes or heated exchange, the manager was contacted by phone by the staff, and I was credited for the second charge. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this business. Also, I feel that they should make sure their app is working fluently for their best interest. Do better. read more

Decent Pizza, bad delivery. Ordered this via Yelp so it was delivered through GrubHub.....apparently the driver tried to call my mobile number while I was on another call and I missed the message. The driver delivered the pizza to a company across the hall from us. A couple of folks there were kind enough to "test" my pizza before I finally found it! LOL. So my late lunch is cut down by about 4 slices of pizza! I'm not from Cary, or even NC so I stumbled in to the restaurant on a whim and I ordered a Pepperoni Supreme Pan pizza to take home to my sis's family. While waiting, I chatted with the staff about Austin, international travels, etc. and was really impressed at just how at home they made me feel. I can't say enough about the staff but I should also remark the pizza was a hit--we typically see more NY and Detroit pizza in Austin, so Chicago style (unique crust) was a treat. Rosati's is located just off Davis street in a shopping area with businesses and a few other places. They have both indoor and outdoor options for dining in, which will be nice in good weather. My daughter has been here several times, but this was my first experience. While I waited for her, Taha was able to explain the menu to me and answer questions. He was kind, professional and very knowledgeable regarding all on the menu. We will ask for him next time. There are several appetizers, several kinds of crusts to choose from if you want pizza and other menu items. They are known for their deep dish pizza which is hard to find other places. I chose a 10 inch pizza with the thin crust. It is indeed very thin and crispy. It comes in a unique pan and was just as I ordered it. My daughter had some wings which she enjoyed and then we had a half order of what they call breadsticks. These are NOT you typical break sticks. They are so much better. Light, a different texture and shape, covered with butter and cheese...I would highly recommend. She got a pizza as well and my grandson got a cheese pizza that looked really good. The tea was good and plentiful as well. This is a beautifully appointed place, with room for large crowds if needed. WE came during the week so it was not crowded at all. Another plus is the take out customers do not have to parade through the dining room. They come in the front door and go no further, so the dining area is undisturbed. Smart...wish everyone had it this way. We will be back for sure. I will try the double dough crust next time, just to see the difference and may try some of the other toppings, as they have plenty to choose from. Overview: This place deserves a much higher rating than it has. I had it delivered, which took a while because I had a thick pizza. My food was divine. Vegetarian: I had the 12" stuffed pizza with only cheese. Delicious! My meat-eating friend even preferred it to his Pepperoni Supreme pizza. And that's not something you hear every day. The cheese was ooey-gooey, the sauce was on the sweeter side and paired perfectly with the rest of the pizza. The crust was crisp and flavorful. Would 100 percent return to try their wide array of vegetarian options like customizable pizzas with different sorts of crust, the Margherita pizza, white pizza, and spinach deluxe pizza. They also have yummy-sounding vegetarian pasta dishes like alfredo, lasagna, and penne broccoli that I'm excited to try. They've got a lot to choose from and so I can happily recommend this place to my fellow vegetarians. Vegan: Unfortunately, I did not see any vegan cheese option on their menu. And since cheese is an essential element in the food here, I cannot recommend it to vegans. Gluten-free: Similarly, I did not see a gluten-free crust. After placing a takeout order yesterday for the Rosati's October special of BOGO pizzas (buy one 18", 2-topping and get a 12" cheese pie for free), we devoured the equivalent of the 12" pizza and placed the rest in the fridge for leftovers. Fast-forward 16 hours later and I wanted to warm this pizza up, but didn't want to waste the process in the microwave. So....I pre-heated our gas oven to 400 degrees and placed the individual squares onto a cookie sheet pan and placed on the middle rack for 10 minutes. I don't know how but it came out tasting better than yesterday's fresh-out-the-oven-pizza. It crisp'd up the dough and the flavors had marinated throughout the dough / crust all night, offering a slight crunch to each bite and making this pizza, legendary in my mind. I love this pizza joint and I'd be hard-pressed to think there's another pizza place in the Triangle worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence as Rosati's. Definitely ranks as one of my top 20 pizza places I've ever eaten at / from and I'm 45 years old. 5 STARS again for making the pizza better after reheating in this exact same process. read more

We ordered lunch from Rosati's today August 7th thru delivery service for our warehouse team and the experience was not what we were expecting. We ordered pasta entres for everyone and no napkins neither utensils were added to our delivery order. We were very detailed on how our order needed to be delivered at the back door in the receiving area due that being a Saturday the front door is closed and no office employees are available. After hours of not receiving our order, we decided to go to the front door to verify and our food was there sitting in the floor at the front entrance. What a disappointment. Food was average, Olive garden is better. Never again we will order from Rosati's. read more

We were craving Chicago Deep Dish pizza and decided to check out Rosati's. Based on other reviews I wanted to love Rosati's, but it fell short on in so many ways that even giving it 3 stars feels generous. When we arrived, we were quickly greeted and taken to a corner table next to a very large and loud party. There was a booth available, that was much bigger and much more comfortable than where we were seated (and not so close to the larger party), but apparently it was reserved. Not sure for what or for whom, but in the whole 1.5 hours that we were there the booth was never used. This made me incredibly annoyed. The restaurant is pretty small and only has about 8-9 tables. There is also outdoor seating, which could be nice weather permitting. The indoor decor is nice and overall the interior is modern looking and clean. We ordered water, which was brought in typical pebbled plastic tumbler cups. I thought they were pretty cheap and management should consider using some nicer glasses. I personally don't like drinking out of plastic cups, so I passed on a drink. For appetizers, we ordered mozzarella sticks and buffalo chicken wings. The mozzarella sticks came out first. The order came with 8 sticks topped with cheese and a side of marinara sauce. They were decent. Nothing to write home about. I could probably get better ones from the supermarket. The marinara sauce was good. I'd give them a 5/10. Based on the mozzarella sticks, I already felt it was going to be a mediocre dining experience. The wings came out next. We ordered 6, and I'm glad we didn't order more than that. The wings were meh. They definitely weren't cooked long enough and/or in high enough heat. They were soggy and had sauce strewn over them. We love chicken wings and are self proclaimed chicken wing experts and they were just "meh". The sauce tasted good, but the wings weren't great. If they had Ben cooked properly, they could've had more potential. We ordered a 16" Chicago Deep Dish with pepperoni and bacon. It arrived after about 25 minutes although their menu states that it is "baked to perfection for over 40 minutes." We questioned whether it was undercooked, because the cheese was not completely melted, but once we served it, we decided it was fine. The server offered to take it back and bake it a little longer, but we honestly just wanted to eat and leave. The ingredients didn't particularly taste fresh. The the chunky tomato sauce seemed like they were canned. I didn't like the taste of the cheese either. The crust was buttery and and crunchy and was decent, but I think I could've gotten probably had a better frozen pizza. Overall, I was underwhelmed by the pizza, as was my husband. It was extremely disappointing. Our waiter was friendly, but the service was subpar. It seemed like he was the only one waiting tables, busing tables, seating guests, and according to him, even cooking. Every single time he came to our table and apologized and gave an excuse (I'm working the front, serving, cooking). By the third time out of about 7-8..."I'm so sorry..." we were over it. We asked for refills and he disappeared for 10 minutes. When he reappeared, he was coming out of the kitchen with a bucket of dirty dishes which he put down and came and served our refills. Nobody drank their refills, because we were put off by the fact that he was busing tables and came and out his dirty hands all over our cups. It was pretty unsanitary. I'd dock one whole star just on account on sanitariness, but like I said 3-stars was generous. Overall, the whole experience from the quality of the food to the service was lackluster. I could not recommend this place to a friend or family member and would never come back here again. "Real Chicago-style deep dish pizza in the Triangle!!!" Anyone who's spent any time in Chicago at all raves about the deep dish ("stuffed") pizza there. Yet for some completely unfathomable reason, it's nigh impossible to find that anywhere outside the city, aside from a few spots in the Bay Area, New York, DC, etc. I think it's a mafia conspiracy- they much knock out any restaurants that try to export it. I can't imagine any other reason why it's not everywhere- it's SOOOO good! There used to be an "Uno's" with it in Brier Creek, but it's gone, and there's no other Uno's in the entire state. My 11-year-old daughter wanted this for her birthday party after a recent Chicago vacation (where she exclaimed "I could live on this!"), but shipping it from Chicago on dry ice was going to be almost $100 (and frozen). But thanks to Yelpers (yay to Ron W!), we heard about Rosati's Pizza in Morrisville. This is the real thing- it's a chain from the Chicago area that, for again some unfathomable reason (yet wonderful for us), decided they'd open their only east-coast-state restaurant in Morrisville, NC (?). It's in a nondescript little stripmall off Davis Dr. Service- fantastic! I phoned in a takeout order, and they applied a coupon that I didn't have nor know existed (very kind). It was for a pickup at 5:15pm. I showed up early, and they finished the pizzas at exactly 5:14pm. Price- good! We paid $32 for two medium pizzas. This is A LOT of food- see below. Atmosphere- fine for takeout. Not bad for eat-in: see picture. Taste- this is the kicker. GREAT! I loved it- it really was the real deal! For Chicago pizza virgins, this means (from bottom up): a thin crust that's flat in the center but rises at the edge of the pan probably about an inch, a layer of cheese and toppings mixed together (probably with a VERY thin second layer of crust in there somewhere) rising a good literally 1cM from the thin crust on the bottom, and then topped with chunky tomato sauce. It's not for the faint of heart- indeed, hearts probably HATE it (~60g of fat per slice!), but man, taste buds will be in heaven! Honestly, I think I like this a little better than Giordano's in Chicago- Rosati's is just a bit less greasy-tasting and more like good cheese. To get an idea of how much to order, few people will eat more than 2 slices of a medium pizza. Many people will be "stuffed" with 1. So, it's really a good deal in price. I lived in Chicago for 4 years and just visited there last month. This is the real deal. And it's here. Go try it! read more

Who knew 60 grams of fat could taste so good?! Phil G, Tripp W and I were marveling at the delicious deep-dish pizza that was dropped in front of us on the table. Gooey mozzarella cheese, chunky tomato, spicy sausage, tasty bacon and pepperoni all wrapped in a golden crust! We recounted Mohamed N's recent Rosati's review and the caloric content of each slice but what the hell, who wants to live forever! I dug into my first slice and my taste buds got hit with an explosion of tomato and cheesy goodness, uhmmm. And as good as the insides were, the crisp, buttery crust was even better! The perfect base for all that meat and cheese... The large pie was enough for maybe 3 to 4 people and we had a side of buffalo wings to get the calorie party started! Service was timely and they kept our glasses filled so we could wash down all that pizza. Inside Rosati's, the place is small so you might be better off with takeout.
