HONEST REVIEW: I see a lot of reviews about the appearance itself but im gonna talk about the actual food. In all honesty the food was bland and not good. none of the food tasted like it had any seasoning on it really and the coffee just tasted like coffee and water. I got the "ube" waffles but in reality they were just plain waffles with purple food coloring. For the price and appearance of the place you would think the food and drinks would taste amazing but it left me feeling like it was not worth returning for the price. read more

An absolute perfect brunch visit. My wife and I enjoyed tea, sweets, and delicious toasts. She opted for nuts and fruit toast and I went for burrata and tomato toast. It was perhaps the best meal I had this winter. The chili crunch heat mixed with the sweetness of the tomato and balsamic drizzle had me smiling all meal. My London Fog was a perfect pairing with the banana loaf btw. I can't wait to return and try more. 10/10 be back soon. read more

One would never guess from the outside what a cute as a button little breakfast spot this place is. Light and bright and of course a wall of pink roses. Great place to meet a few girlfriends for a bite. We had the toast, basic and protein and breakfast sandwich all were tasty and a good size. Not too heavy. Served on the cutest plates and quick and attentive. But the stars of the show were the drinks. Bursting with complex flavors the latte's are certainly the reason to return quickly. Twice in one week, i couldn't stay away once i discovered this new local cafe in South Oceanside. The owner, Katie, is an amazing local chef who launched this first venture on her own. She's classically trained, and her impeccable attention to detail shows in every dish we tried (special quiche, baked goods, and ahi tuna/avocado toast, plus coffees). I'm telling all my neighbors about this hidden gem, so it can come out of hiding. The location has killed the restaurants before it, so I'm hoping that the exterior can somehow be spruced up a bit to show off the GORGEOUS interior. So welcoming and comfortable. Found Cafe using Yelp and decided to try. Menu has wide variety and a kids' menu as well. Reasonable prices and excellent quality. Had a hard time deciding on what to order. Went there since it seemed to be a nice place. Was definitely nice on the inside but was taken back by their Matcha. I tried the strawberry matcha but upon taking my first sip it tasted as if the milk used was spoiled. With a strong sour taste it made me disgusted and honestly disappointed. Such a waste of money and left a sour bitter taste in my mouth all day. Can not speak on the other items but they definitely need to step up on their Matcha. Honestly would not try again. Loved it in here. The staff was super friendly and I had a great americano and breakfast. Usually I just go to one of the other coffee shops in the area but if you want coffee and food I highly recommend coming here. This was a quick last time visit. I have been to this spot when it was other businesses so I wanted to check out Rose Cafe that is there now. The second I walked in I live the atmosphere/ vibe and was greeted by the friendly owner and staff. I knew I wanted to try the beignets that were filled with lemon curd. Anything lemon I have to try. Omg these beignets were amazing. I also bought the raspberry filled shortbread cookies. Those were very tasty as well. I did order an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and the London Fog. Drinks were perfect and just what was needed. When I got home, my daughter took a drink of my latte and she said it was amazing. Mind you she is a coffee snob. I can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu, especially looking forward to trying the Ube waffles. read more

If I could give this place a 20 star rating I would! We've been meaning to go in there for a long time and finally had a chance today. I had the house burger, which was absolutely the best hamburger I've ever had in my life. And I'm pretty much a burger connoisseur :-) My sister had the breakfast croissant and she raved about how good it was. The place is small and quaint and absolutely beautiful. I understand they hopefully will have outdoor seating soon which I hope will give them more exposure because they truly deserve it. We got to meet Katie who is the chef and owner and she's just such a pleasure. She is a local to Oceanside and carlsbad so it's nice to see the locals doing so well. We definitely will be going back and taking our entire family with us. This could be our new favorite place on the planet! read more

I love this place. The food is amazing and the mocha actually tastes like chocolate. Everyone is always friendly. I particularly love their buttermilk pancakes. If you're a pancake fan but haven't tried these pancakes, you're doing yourself a disservice. I couldn't even wait to take a bite but here's a pic. read more

tldr: Love this new cafe spot! Food and drinks are really delicious and would highly recommend. Service was great as well! Food - healthy food options available for gluten free/vegetarian and for anything in between! I got the grains bowl which was very filling, the falafel is a little on the drier side but mixed with the beet sauce and the salad it balanced very well to create multiple textures and delicious flavors. Drinks - the strawberry matcha latte was perfect, especially if you don't like too sweet matchas but still want a little sweetness Location/Space - Parking is pretty easy in the lot or on the streets. Lots of outlets/chargers available for work/study as well. Great space to hangout with friends as well, especially if you want a pink themed day! Service - friendly staff who are attentive! It is wide enough to not feel crowded, pleanty of seats, and brightly lit. The service was good and quick. The cashier was really freindly. I tried the caramel apple matcha, and it was a solid 6/10. This is arguably the cutest cafe that Oceanside has to offer. The cafe is beautifully decorated in whites and pinks (magazine cover worthy!), and the staff greets you with a smile every single time. I had the chance to sample some of the pastries and each one was better than the last. My personal favorite was the small lemon tart, but the cookies and croissants are delicate, sophisticated, and delicious in every single bite. Looking forward to my next trip! Don't really know how to feel about this place. Half of our food was super salty and the other half was super blend.

Went here for the first time today. Tried the cheeseburger with fries and fried chicken sandwich with salad. We also had creamy lemonade and a latte to wash it down. The service was wonderful and speed just right. Hamburger was cooked to order and very tasty. The fries that came with it were better than most places and at a perfect temperature. Fried chicken sandwich was crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. Both the burger and chicken sandwich were seasoned to perfection! Side salad was lightly seasoned and had a light oil dressing. I would have liked a toasted bun to stand up to the fried chicken but that is my only comment. Otherwise don't change a thing. The drinks were perfect and creamy lemonade unique wonderful beverage. The decor is perfectly suited to the space and the staff have a wonderful attitude! The only negative is the parking which is not their issue. As popular as this is now, give yourself extra time for parking/ walking. Food is fabulous! We went all out by starting with the cinnamon roll. So glad we did! It was extra special with the cream cheese frosting and carmel sauce!! We also had the quiche and the BLTA. Both were exceptionally yummy. The quiche is different than the traditional pie quiche. It is a very generous slice, loaded with unexpected surprises, and it is the best I've had. Finally, it's impossible to leave without one of Rose's cookies. The baked goods are super special. Highly recommend. Looking forward to them being open for dinner. read more
