Great help with my car. Came in to have a few things I requested to have looked at. No appointment, I walked up was greeted by a gentleman who told me to drive my car up to have it looked at. Car was inspected by Antonio, helped me figure out what the smell coming out of the exhaust was. Antonio, was very helpful and explained that the smell was coming from the sunroof leaking water into the car. Overall experience was excellent! These monkeys don't even know how to install an oil filter or an oil drain plug. Every filter installed by them gets crushed during removal because it has been tightened by a 1/2" drive, 36" long breaker bar . Learning the basics wasn't in the cards for them. read more

Angel was very polite and patient with me...Larry noticed that I've been waitin for a while offered me coffee/water. THANK U! I'm driving a 15 year old car so happy when I got into this Low income Program where they fixed ur car. U COULD ONLY GET IN ONCE. This is the only authorized shop. Per Angel, state required them to perform a full vehicle inspection so U have to leave ur car for at least 2 days. I dropped off my car on 5/27(Wed.)11am. I received a phone da next day(5/28) from Angel that they were impressed on how I was able to take care of da car. He said all I need are Front tires and Rear shocks...that my rear tires are still good. (I made a note to myself right away, I need to ask him how long da rear tires gonna last me?) Around 3:30 da same I got a call from Angel dat my car is ready. He also said that his trying to call me earlier but my phone just keep ringing. (I got no missed call) I told him I cannot make it since they closed @5pm. And even I make it it's Rush hour and I will hit traffic on my way home. (I live on da east side) I asked him did U do da alignment he said. I DONT NEED ONE. I called my former manager, whose a mechanic and a smog technician. He said, I DO NEED AN ALIGNMENT!!! I called one place to get a second opinion. I asked if I got my Front Tires/Rear shocks replaced Do I need an alignment? He said it depends on what kind of car. He said if my car got rear adjustment then I do need an alignment. He confirmed by me giving the year, make n model of my car. I called back Angel by his not available. I spoke to Greg n told him that I spoke to 2 people to get a 2nd/3rd opinion that I DO NEED AN ALIGNMENT. He said JUST TO MAKE HAPPY he will try to squeeze da alignment in since I almost reach da limit (amount allowed to get my car fixed.) It is not bout U makin me happy it's bout getting da work done da way it's supposed to be!!! I said okay I will pick up my car tomorrow @ 1 pm. He said it depends on da alignment machine availability n will have Angel call me @ 10 am to confirm. I did not get a phone call so I just assumed da alignment was done. The next day, Angel wasn't aware of what me n Greg had talked bout. He said that Greg is NOT even authorized (since his da manager) to make that decision! Then I thought bout my notes: 1. I asked him how long da rear tires gonna last me? He asked me to wait for Greg. As a manager, u could walk to my car n check da tire thread n by U doin that U could answer my question. I don't need to wait for Greg. 2. Did u set my tires to 31psi.(all around) He said Yes! I checked my tire pressure before I left front tires was set to 35psi while da rears are 31psi. 3. My former manager told me to make sure to get a colored alignment print out.(but since they did not do da alignment) He asked me to bring back da car Monday 6/1 to get da alignment. He called da alignment place n set me for 9:15am appointment. He said it will take 1 1/2 hours. 6/1 monday, got here @ 8:50am then left @ 11:45pm. (3 hours) This place don't have an alignment machine so I don't blame them for not knowing if da car need an alignment or NOT. If they did a full inspection how come it's not written down on da work order that my lifter is noisy n my brake squeaks. Hmmmmm, I wonder if they really did a full inspection? read more

Unfortunately when you need a new car battery, you realize it at the most inconvenient time when it won't start in the morning. Used yelp to search for a car battery place and saw Battery systems, went there and they recommended Rose Auto. They were prompt in helping me and had the battery my car needed in stock. The staff is pleasant to deal with and the price is reasonable. They even cleaned my wind shield for me. Definitely recommend to visit this auto shop. read more

Great place and super friendly employees! Called for a 7am appointment for a SMOG certification the day before. Got in the next morning. Everybody is professional and friendly. I was promised my car would be done in 15 minutes. I waited in the waiting room while reading the history about the place and sipping a cup of coffee. One of the employees was waiting for the coffee to be done, so we chatted a bit about the place. He also told me about the new technology they use to inspect cars. I came here for a basic oil/filter change. One of their mechanics (Dave) explained to me ahead of time that they would change the oil, filter, gasket, check and top off all my other fluids, check my lights, tire pressures, etc. He told me that the wait would be about an hour, and that was accurate. I appreciated the friendly service and all of the checks that they did, but I did not like the price: $50 (for non-synthetic, standard 3000 mile oil). They did tell me when I got there that the price would be about $50, and I had already made the appointment and needed the service so I agreed, but I don't think I'll come back for an oil change when I can get it done at Kragen (including all of the courtesy checks) for less than $20. My fault for trusting the good reviews on Yelp and not asking the price when I scheduled the appointment. I would come back here for other services or repairs, but the oil changes are too expensive. read more

Very friendly. Called in to set up a smog check appointment, an hour later I was in turning over my keys. Angel helped me out over phone and in person. Job was going to take about 15-25min he said, but I strolled across the street and killed some time at the shopping center which is just a 2 min walk away. Nothing really wrong with the place. It's a garage where they fix up your car, but this would be pretty useless if I didn't talk about the details. I called for an appointment with Dave (assuming he's the owner) got it set up easily. As for the garage, the place is clean and well kept. They changed my oil, added windshield fluid, added air to my tires (including the spare) and washed my windows. Pretty standard fare. And he vacuumed my passenger side carpet. Nice bonus. Came out to $53. My gripes with this place is that when they were taking my car off the lift, they dinged my door twice against the lift's support. Not cool. I'm also kinda particular about how my windows are cleaned (never rinsed the squeegee, didn't squeegee the driver side windows but instead rolled it down so my window streaked and brought up dirt that was trapped there). I appreciated it, but change my oil and don't mess with the aesthetics. read more

I have an older, non-premium car, and they put the same amount of care and attention into my old P.O.S. that they do for the guy rolling up in a Lexus. They are very honest and trustworthy, and have never recommended unnecessary repairs. I was referred to Rose Garden Auto Care by my boyfriends GREAT Uncle (80+ yrs old) who had taken his car to Dave's shop for years. The first brake job which brought me here really sold the deal and now I'm a repeat customer, having gone back over 3 times for various jobs. The service is great, paired with a friendly. competent staff that completes everything in the time window they promise. Pricing is comparable, sometimes even a bit lower than what I would pay elsewhere. I think the real highlight to this shop is the genuine and honest staff. I feel that I can call Dave, personally talk to him and tell him what's going on - he has even trouble shot with me over the phone. I cannot say enough nice things about Dave and the crew there! They saved us a ton of money on our 1999 nissan sentra. We'd taken it to Nissan when it wasn't running and were told that just to get it running it would take about $1000 of work!! So second opinion time! We took it to Rose Garden Auto and Dave told us it just needed a new battery! So one new battery later the car was running just fine! He always remembes us and our cars! They're awesome! read more

I have been getting my oil hanged here for 5 years and I really like the mechanics who work here. Unfortunately, George, the owner is the reason for the rating and why I will never go back here or recommend this place to anyone ever again. I learned when I came for a more substantial repair that they charge a diagnostic fee of $187 and then $125/hour for repairs (high end dealership rate). I paid the diagnostic fee because I assumed I would get my repairs done by them. When they came back with my quote, I realized I was getting taken advantage of and found a trustworthy mechanic down the street who quoted the same job at 1/3 the cost. I was very disappointed. While the $125/hour rate is technically posted in the shop, it's not behind the counter where you would expect it to be. I had been working with the mechanics there for years so I went into it thinking I could trust them. I requested my "diagnostic fee" be returned to me but George, the owner, refused. read more

I came across this place through immediate need. I was shopping across the street and when I returned to my car, I had a flat tire. Anyway after my spare was put on I drove to this place to have air added to the spare. They were super friendly, quick, and didn't charge me for their time. I ended up going back there to have the tire taken care of and another tire about 2 weeks later this summer for another tire getting a flat.
