Stopped by on our way to the LB pride parade for a quick cup of coffee and a pastry on a Sunday morning. I ordered a Sweet Latte and a slice of the Chocolate Olive Oil bread. My husband ordered a regular cup of coffee, Guatemalan roast, and a lavender scone. I really enjoyed my latte and the slice of bread was sooo soft and moist - AND gluten free! I was very happy with my choice. My husband also liked his coffee and his scone was on the sweeter side and more floral. Ambiance was cute and cozy and they have outdoor seating available. I definitely want to come back to check out the other lattes on their menu and their tea. read more

Stopped by on a couple of occasions passing by since I work nearby. I've never tried the food because It's very hot inside and both times I stopped by there were flies inside the pastry box, therefore I don't trust the food safety here. Both coffee I've gotten have just been ordinary but the price is quite high for what you get. The service has been good and there's a nice outdoor patio that's also dog friendly. read more

I've been to Rose Park a few times and their coffee is pretty good. The specialty drinks are a little on the expensive side but that's to be expected in downtown Long Beach. They have indoor seating as well as an outdoor patio with lots of seating. read more

Great place for coffee, treats, & quiet alone time. Do not go with a group. We are a local run club and often go for coffee after our runs. We normally go to the one on 4th street and have enjoyable experiences there. The service was cold and not friendly from the moment we got there. This morning it was cold so we sat inside We were pleased with the mint agave matcha and vanilla espressos. The pistachio cranberry scone was my favorite. The biscuit and homemade jelly was comforting . We were having a great time laughing and we were asked to be quit. I asked her if we should go outside? She said, no. It really killed the vibe. Unfortunately as good as the tea and treats where the service left a sour impression on all of us and we will be exploring other coffee shops after runs. read more

Great spot for coffee, tea and baked goods near the LB Convention Center. It's about a 10 minute walk from the CC and way better than the Starbucks that is across the steeet. I visited twice during my time in LB, the coffee was delicious. Also had a biscuit on my second day and it was great. They also have a wide selection of whole bean coffee to make at home. I came here twice and got a Cold Brew & later an Iced Vanilla Latte with almond milk. Both were great (I'm not super picky when it comes to flavor). This place is located close to the water on Ocean Blvd. around lots of shops and hotels so the views are pretty nice. Service is good & they are self serve when it comes to lids/straws, cream, sugar, etc. which is not a problem for me! Barista was more than willing to give me a cup of sugar to add to my cold brew when asked. Overall, great cafe find in LB! read more

Visited while in the area on a Saturday afternoon and ordered the Maple Lavender Latte with non-fat milk. Maple flavor was subtle, but easily tasted the lavendar. Weather was a bit overcast with a light breeze, but warm enough to enjoy the outdoor patio and latte. Makes one wish there was more indoor seating though! Barista was pleasant and friendly. Service was slow, but understandable since she was the only person there. Not mad at ya... she tidied up when no one was at the service counter and even swept the shop during down time. read more

Nice satellite location of Rose Park Roasters. Still has the Cuppa Cuppa sign up, but one of these days. Usually get an 8 oz, iced Americano. They do give you a bring your own cup discount, which is nice. Roast is nice and has good acidity. Thier baked goods are excellent too. The cheddar chive scone, the lavender scone, and the banana bread are my favorites. The outside patio is sheltered and is a good place to hang. 9 tables make it easy to find a seat. If you are looking for a good roast, I recommend coming here if you are in the area. read more

Heard about this place from some friends last night. Really glad I came here. The ambiance was also very nice; it was very clean and quiet. The barista was super helpful because I really wanted chai but he recommended I get a regular coffee since that's what they specialize in. I ended up getting a sweet latte, which I would give four out of five stars. It was really good but nothing mind blowing. However, the dark chocolate olive oil tea cake was super good. The texture honestly kind of caught me off guard because it was very soft and wet, but I loved that. I also felt like it was the perfect amount of sweetness. The banana bread was also really good and moist. Would definitely come back again when I'm in the area - especially for the chocolate cake. read more

The sign outside still says Cuppa Cuppa, but the inside has been transformed! I haven't been to their other locations I bookmarked and probably won't since this one is so close to where I live. Love love love the interior and the color palette. I got the iced maple lavender latte with a bit less sugar, in which the orange zest is a game changer. I also got me some of the banana bread, and it was delicious. Dogs are welcome inside and the patio area is large and spacious. The workers here don't wear masks, as is their right. But I personally wouldn't be comfortable being indoors without a mask on, even while being vaccinnated. I wish food workers would still wear masks bc of food preparation, but I wouldn't hold it against them. Give this place a shot! I know I'll be back. read more

I need to go again because I forgot the darn name of this magnifico latte. Its got a chai spice to it with a tangy sweetness from the orange zest. It was the perfect start to my holiday morning. I walked to the cafe from my place and it was boggling with regulars, which is extremely promising. I've been to the fourth street location but never to this one, happy to say it lives up to the fourth street locations standard! The space is clean and bright with baristas who are friendly and efficient. The drinks are amazing - their lavender maple syrup is the best I've had anywhere, and they come out quickly. Parking is a nightmare because it's downtown so be prepared to feed a meter and walk a bit. There is indoor and outdoor seating, but the inside is a bit loud (small space with high ceilings), so if you are coming to work outside might be the move. I would say it's better for meeting friends than getting a bunch of work done. Get the lavender maple latte- you will not be disappointed!! read more

One star for the birds singing so sweetly and invitingly in the bushes on the patio. Absolute zero stars for the employees. Zero. Nada. Erase any stars that they previously received. Ptooey! Now mind you, we were here last year. The interaction with the female was minimal. She never looked up at us directly but it didn't bother us. She wasn't masked even at the height of pandemic concerns. Odd. We had coffee and the one pastry which was displayed by itself. We thought at the time they were sold out. No. They put a few things in the paltry display case as was true today. This is what they do. Today, the first counterperson was unsure what I meant by asking her what was the flavor of middle pastry out of the three on display. I was gentle. Then a selection was made from the refrigerator and she said "you have to shake that up". All that was said "I know." At that point, she made an exaggerated gesture of I'm washing my hands of you. The other dour woman bolted from the back like a bull in Pamplona and said "I don't have to give you any coffee." Laughable, more laughable had we purchased anything. So this branch has some reviews commenting on pomposity and rudeness. InterestingIy one of their other branches, in existence longer, is rift with one stars due to outrageous employee attitude and behavIor. The owner responds with the oddest apologies. Psychological culture that is encouraged and fomented by him? The previous coffee shop at this location was plagued by badly behaving owners. Theories can be saved for Halloween. The pastries were yummy we had a snickerdoodle cookie, a salted caramel apple scone & a figs and goat cheese pastry I forgot the name but also very good! The employees were incredibly nice ! These are some of the tastiest lattes I've ever had, and I came here three days in a row to get my morning cuppa while I was in town for a local event. My favorite was the seasonal roots and herb latte - has a flavor a little reminiscent of chai, but different enough to be its own delicious thing. It's rich and spiced and earthy, not too sweet. The caramel miso latte definitely tastes like miso, with a nutty, savory edge to the sweetness! And the maple lavender latte, while my third favorite, is absolutely delicious as well.
