I also like how they used a huge piece of lettuce that extended out the end of the roll. Broth is good. I did think some of the steak was a tad over-cooked? However, one of the pieces at the top is still pink, which suggests they just put it in? I wonder how long it was in the bowl before it reached my table. Also, most of the tendon was.....in a giant rectangle? Is that how they're packaged? I don't know if they forgot to separate it, but I initially decided to just bite into it and the middle of it was cold. Eeeeehhhh Portion feels larger than it looks. Lovely Phò restaurant with a large variety of dishes and a specials-board to add even more delicious iterations of the accomplished chef behind the scene. I ordered my favorite oxtail phò which now comes in stone bowls to keep it hot to the last spoonful. Beef and noodles are served separately so as not to crowd the bowl. Excellent and authentic flavor to the broth. My coworker tried the Singapore noodles which was very tasty he said. We got pho and a noodle salad bowl for delivery and it was really delicious. My partner said it was the best noodle bowl she's ever had and we order them often from Vietnamese restaurants all over town. The had a very flavorful broth and the veggies and noodles were plentiful. We also had Fresh rolls and they were done perfectly. The peanut sauce had the perfect flavor and the role itself was crafted very well with fresh shrimp and even some crunchy bits on the inside for great texture. I was craving pho and so I looked up a couple places around the area and Rose Pho was the one that popped up. I am pleased by the food, ambiance, and the service. The interior was clean and beautiful. There were a lot of plants which made the dining area much more homier. Plants generally puts you in a good mood and it did just that! Also there were positive phrases on the wall which was nice. We got to meet the owner of the restaurant and she was super sweet and welcoming. She even prayed for us before we ordered. The server was very kind and constantly checked up on us. I ordered the special pho which to me was a 10/10. The broth was super tasty and the meat was cooked just right. The noodles were fresh. This restaurant is not a must try but the owner is very nice. It is very thematically decorated, reflecting the owner's personality. Now for food, we had summer rolls which were okay. The rolls were stuffed with noodles, fresh lettuce and a very greasy thin slice of sausage. I had a combination vermicelli bowl. The pork was cut up in tiny pieces and most were full of hard fat that I had to spit out. The two grilled shrimp were not fresh, looked and tasted like old shrimp that had been heated up multiple times before. The roll that came with it was not your traditional Vietnamese roll. The flavor was that of a Chinese egg roll. The lettuce and cucumber were fresh and the vermicelli was soft otherwise the dish was greasy, unsatisfying and lacking of quality protein. We also ordered a GRILLED lemongrass chicken rice plate. The chicken was extremely oily as if someone deep fried the pieces to warm them for service. It was definitely not grilled. Overall we left hungry, mouths full of grease but hearts were warmed because the owner was quite a lovely person. Be advised, she prays over you before you eat. So if you like Jesus, you will feel touched. Otherwise, hopefully you can enjoy the food. read more

I hate to be the one to give a poor rating, but this restaurant really got on my last nerves today. We ordered the wonton noodles, bo kho & their special item (banh koht) mini savory pancakes. Our 2 soups were decently good, when the pancakes came out I just knew it was going to let me down, being it came out right after 10 mins. If you order banh khot often you'll KNOW fully cooked it will come out in 15/20 minutes. I bit into the first pancake and the middle of it was still so doughy, and mushy like how it would be if you undercooked a normal pancake/flapjack. So I grabbed another one & it was the same situation. We ended up calling our waiter to ask to have it remade due to them all still being completely doughy inside. So our waiter takes our plate back to the kitchen, 2 minuets later she comes back with our SAME plate and says, the kitchen said that's just how the pancakes come.... Umm no actually they don't because we have ordered banh khot at several places before and never have we had them doughy in the middle lol. In my opinion the establishment still should have remade our dish for us upon request. But hey, at least our noodles were still pretty good. Ohhh my goodness this may be one of my favorite pho restaurants now, and I have tried pho places in Boston, NYC, Tampa, and LA. I believe this is a family-owned restaurant; I was very impressed by how everyone was helping out! It was a beautiful day, and we sat at a table outside. We ordered shrimp spring rolls, egg rolls, and the special noodle soup (the first option under the Pho category). The spring rolls were so fresh and delicious -- the presentation was really nice too and they were pretty sizable (comes with 4 pieces). The pho broth was also really tasty -- not too salty or anything; usually I can't even finish the broth! I felt so bad because I thought this restaurant closed at 9pm but it actually closes at 8pm and we had placed an additional order for egg rolls at 8pm; we didn't realize until after we placed the order but the server was so nice and never said anything like "oh, the kitchen is closed." Actually, the egg rolls came in a takeout box with a cute drawing of an egg roll and message. What a sweet touch! I would absolutely recommend this restaurant! The prices are super reasonable too! As I was running an errand I wanted a quick snack so I found this little gem. I had gotten the fall rolls, sound good. And it was! It had different things than a normal spring roll would have. It was a warmer roll in the same rice paper and I enjoyed it. This was my first time seeing a roll that wasn't the typical spring roll or summer (fried) roll. I cannot express how good the food & the service is here! I've been coming here whenever I'm down in the area for about 2 years now and have always been satisfied with every dish. Although the prices are a bit high, the portions of each dish does its justice and so does the flavor. It's a nice little restaurant and whenever it's sunny, I'd recommend sitting outside! The workers there are extremely welcoming and heartwarming, it makes it more comfortable to eat and enjoy your food. The last time my boyfriend went with his friends, the owner prayed over them and their food, which is super kind and sweet of him. What an amazing experience this was even though it only lasted no longer than five minutes. My family ordered a bunch of spring rolls with tofu, which I'm glad they had that option, for pick up, not dine in. As soon as I walked in, I found the what I assumed to be owner praying with someone so immediately the energy was light and loving all the employees had warming smiles on their face when I was helped out the owner. Wish the blessings upon me and even randomly gave me Oranges and potatoes in a bag as a gift it's something I will never forget, and we are already talking about going back when we fly into town. It's super convenient right next to the airport as something you can eat before your flight. The first time my mother and I went to Rose Pho, I ordered the spring rolls. They were so good that I assumed they didn't have anything that could beat these so I kept ordering them time after time. I finally decided to try something else; my mom and I split the Mongolian beef and a type of crepe---DELICIOUS! I also love the fresh basil that graces so many of their dishes. The owner, Trinh, is so nice! Every time we go there, she walks us outside to our car and this is in winter weather! When my brother and I went back and told Trinh my mother was in the hospital getting a hip replacement, she sent along a bag of her favorite candies for her dry mouth at no cost to us. The only thing I don't care for is the TV on when nobody is watching it, a bit of a distraction. One time, the music was a bit loud and not to our liking. My mom and I were the only patrons at the time and they were kind enough to turn it down for us. I will continue to dine at Rose Pho every time I am in Seattle; I can't wait to try another dish from their menu; so many choices! Since I wrote the above, my mother has passed and so I no longer drive to Normandy Park as I live in Mossyrock. What an nice experience it was trying Rose Pho! It was my first time trying pad Thai here and I loved it. I placed my order through the phone and the lady said my order would be ready in 15 minutes. I can inside fifteen minutes later to find an almost full restaurant, with many happy customers and my order ready. After I paid the owner blessed me with prayer and I felt a lot of love and warmth for her, someone who cares about the customers and quality food. I recommend this place! In my opinion, good food is elevated by good company. When you come and eat here, you will most likely get to meet Rose. I have been here twice. Once with my husband, and the second time with a friend. Both times, the service and food quality & ingredients were perfect. The second time visiting this restaurant, Rose, the owner herself waited on us. She was very personable and kind. She even prayed for us twice! I am not a religious person and don't get offended by people who pray for me. I know they mean well and she meant very well. My friend and I cried a few times while eating our Pho. Rose was such a sweet person and very welcoming. If we lived closer, this would be the only Pho restaurant I would visit. The quality was good to the point where I didn't have to doctor up the broth.
