I LOVE the food, my husband and I started coming here years ago and quickly fell in love with the place. the food was great and the waitress was amazing. However, over the years we have been going the portion sizes shrank and the prices sky rocketed. the Pad thai went from 7.99 to 11.50 and its not as filling. A friend and I just ate here and it is a shame to say the experience was not a good one and we will not be going back. The food was good but the whole experience was completely ruined by the way that they run business. We were given menus and ordered off the menu according to prices we could afford. We did not know until the check came that they had charged us for "dinner prices" and we had been given the "lunch menu" by mistake. The meals were significantly higher in price than the so-called "lunch menu" prices. There was no indication between the two menus, and as the customer it is not my fault I was given the wrong menu. I asked them twice to honor the price they had originally given us that we saw on the menu and was refused both times. The owner did not even come to talk to us. I am apart of a family business myself, and this is not the way that you treat your customers. It is dishonest and seems like something they do frequently. The waitress even responded to my first request that "she hates it when that happens" indicating to me that this is a recurring problem and a way they trick people into spending more money. There was no apology by the staff except for the waitress and when I said I would no longer be giving them business there was no concern for the customer or any offer to make the situation right. This is an issue that could've been solved very easily by just honoring the original price as marked which is what 99% of all businesses would do. I would suggest not bringing your business here or making sure that you are definitely not getting ripped off before ordering. read more

Roselyn seems to be an underrated gem in Rockland. I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai and I was not disappointed! Aside from the wait, the proportions and pricing are more than generous especially compared to more pricy restaurants. read more

Went here based on Yelp reviews. Service was great, we were waited on by Roselyn. We were the only ones I the restaurant so we got special attention, she was great with our kid, recommended some soup that the kid ended up loving and brought her over some rice to go with her soup because she thought she might like it. Food was great, crab Rangoon especially. Pad Thai was excellent, crispy pad Thai was too sweet for me but the wife liked it a lot. Definitely a different texture and richer than I've had. Just not an ideal situation from the beginning. Our food took 1 hour and 15 minutes to come out, and it came out in bunches. Started with an app and an entree, then another bunch, then another. All together, 15 minutes separated the first entree and the last. The orange chicken I ordered was basically tempura breading doused in sauce with raw vegetables. We could tell the staff looked stressed with the whopping 8 people eating at the restaurant, so we asked them if they are under staffed. They responded with "no, this is how we normally are" which didn't make much sense and was not exactly what we wanted to hear. Ate at Roslyn's to take a little break from the seafood scene. Pleasantly surprised with the food. Service was a slightly different issue. Had a wonderful shrimp padthai, tasted very fresh followed by the teriyaki beef which was wonderfully prepared and delicious. Misses had the special for the night, large shrimp in a garlic sauce! She told me she thoroughly enjoyed her dish also. Food was all around excellent! Service was a little slow, they seemed a little unprepared for the volume they were receiving the week of lobster fest. (P.S. Terrible food at the festival) continuing on.... What a delicious, friendly experience. Didn't think I was a Thai fan but I was encouraged to try this place. I'm glad I agreed. Quiet, friendly, staff and atmosphere. Delicious food and spiced or not to your liking. I had a house recommendation with chicken and was very pleased with the meal, the service, & the price. we have been coming to the Rockland area for many years. Every time we come we look forward to dining at Roselyn Thai Restaurant. It is always delicious. Each time we try something different and this time it was the green curry with chicken, mildly spicy. To our delight, it was not only delicious, but identical in taste to Thai restaurants in Thailand, Penang and Singapore. It was so authentic it brought back great memories of time spent in the Far East. The consistency, spice, flavor all so authentic. The service was excellent, the food was delicious. We came in 20 minutes before closing and they treated us the same as though we were the first customer of the day. They had a mix up on my order but they fixed it graciously and didnt rush it even though it came out past closing time so the taste didnt suffer at all. I got the mango curry and it was absolutely delicious!! The tom kha could have had a little more chili but the base broth was delicious. The wait staff was really nice and welcoming even though we accidentally were seated half an hour before closing. I'll definitely be going back to try all of the curries! read more

We came across this restaurant on our way to the Samoset Resort. As we drove past, I couldn't help but wonder what a traditional Thai restaurant was doing in the midst of "lobster country"...so decided to check it out. we ordered the Thai Basil chicken and the Garlic Fish. Both were excellent. The basil chicken was very good but tasted very familiar and on par with some of the best Thai restaurants I've eaten at. The garlic fish was simply outstanding!! The fish was so fresh, it was probably just caught. It was spiced and sauteed to perfection. The two sisters (one is the chef) who run this place are extremely cordial, welcoming and came back to our table several times to check if everything was ok. Bottom-line: Would highly recommend, especially if you want a "spice fix" in lobster country. read more

I drank the dressing from the papaya salad because I couldn't get enough! I ate my little sister's leftovers, my grandparents leftovers, and had approximately 4 Thai iced teas. The Thai fried chicken is the [enter preferred expletive here], the tom ka ga is made from dreams & child's laughter, and the papaya salad is made with drugs from the gods. I don't usually write reviews for places but this little Thai restaurant is as good as it gets.For an appetizer we ordered the steamed Shumai dumplings and the Satay. Both were perfectly done, the chicken juicy and the sauces beautiful. My husband ordered the crispy duck and I ordered the pork with peppercorns. Both dishes arrived accompanied by a bowl of jasmine rice and the green curry sauce for the peppercorn pork was spectacular. Full flavored, rich with Thai basil, coconut milk and young peppercorns the sauce alone was worth the trip in. The service was friendly, the wait staff well educated in the menu and while we agree that the decor is a little over the top, we really enjoyed the array of fresh flowers in the dining area. Best part was the price tag- for two aps and two main courses our bill was 50 bucks. We don't drink, but they had a nice wine and on tap beer selection. Don't visit this Thai restaurant. I walked in the restaurant and was seated immediately due to the lack of people in the eatery. We waited 20 minutes for a waited to even acknowledge we existed. Me and my family of 4 ordered drinks (1 beer, besides that just water) than waited 15 minutes for the drinks. Then our waited brought the beer with a lemon instead of a lime (which led us to believe our whole orders would be messed up. After 15 more minutes of waiting, our waiter came back (By now I could've gone to Thailand and back to get dinner). We ordered dinner including soups and an appetizer. After 30 minutes of waiting, we still hadn't gotten our soups or our spring rolls. We got our waiter's attention and told her if the food wasn't ready in 5 minutes, we would pay for the beer and leave. 10 minutes later a different lady came with a check and said she was told by our waiter we were leaving. We told her if the food was ready she could give it to us now, but she told us they didn't even start making it because of takeout orders (not even a valid excuse since the same people were waiting for takeout in the front of the restaurant the whole time we were there). So we left, laughing at how bad the food was. Don't listen to any the good reviews for this restaurant. I know I'm just a stranger on Yelp but trust me on this one- this place sucks. read more
