We discovered Pattaya by accident several months ago. Having and both takeout and dining in I can only say great things. The restaurant is bright and clean with ample parking. We always love this place with the delicious noodle dishes, soups and appetizers. Every time we order the noodles and fried rice it is super good and such nice portions. We order take out regularly. But recently tried something else on the menu with a friend with a takeout order. We both ordered the orange chicken dish, opening the order the chicken pieces were big and with a variety of veggies. The chicken pieces were really dry and hard. After a couple bites (really wanting to enjoy the dish) we both decided that the chicken was too tough/dry to eat and threw out the rest. We were very disappointed and was really surprised at how bad this dish was compared to the other ones we've had. Luckily we also ordered the crab and the pattaya kitchen fried rice so we finished those to be full. I wont be ordering the orange chicken dish again I'll stick with the noodle dishes. read more

I was around town looking for a Thai restaurant with great reviews. Pattaya Kitchen stood out! I was immediately greeted with smiling faces. The ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful, modern and upbeat. Beautiful bar and decor. I sat at the bar and was immediately given a menu. I had shrimp pad Thai as I always do lol and ordered a Thai ice tea to pair. The Pad Thai was sooo delicious. I ordered spice level 1 which was just right. The Thai ice tea was delicious. Creamy but refreshing and not too sweet. I skipped appetizers to make room for Mango Sticky Rice for dessert but was disappointed because there wasn't mango available:-( The host was very engaging and made sure I was good as well as the other patrons in the restaurant. She asked for our opinion on what channel to watch on the television at the bar which made me feel super comfortable in being there. I noticed that they're is a drive up window which would be great when I'm feeling lazy lol All in all, I definitely recommend and I will be back :-) read more

Husbands Drunken Noodles were good. Pad Se Ew noodles seemed very dry, as well as the chicken, with no brown sauce (although the restaurant says they put brown sauce in it). At other Thai restaurants, the Pad Sea Ew noodles seemed much better. The fried rice was good but the chicken seemed very dry. Ordered Thai tea, paid for it, but it never made it to my house via delivery. Service was good every-time I called in. Not sure on the ambiance of the restaurant, as I ordered delivery only. Just over the bridge from the main tourism strip of Portland, this new gem has great food and a beautiful dining room and bar with plenty of space between seats. I have been twice, once for Pad Thai and once for the red curry with shrimp. Both were excellent and served hot and fresh. The owner is very courteous and helpful. Highly recommended. read more

Recently when to this place and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was refreshing and comforting. I had the Pho, house large and highly recommend it. Prior to Yelp, I've had Pho at other places around Portland Maine and in terms of portion, price, and quality this place is definitely at the top of the list. The broth was seasoned well, if you prefer it saltier add some Hoisin sauce and for spicy add Sriracha. I ordered mine at a medium, but added extra Sriracha for a stronger kick. The Pho comes with variety meats of rare beef, meatballs, and flank which just adds extra variety to the dish. Definitely filling and for the average person you'll most likely have extra to take home. Overall I'd give the Pho a n 8.5/10. Good food but a couple thoughts... 1. The bamboo shoots have a sour taste to them. Possibly add less frequently? 2. Seems to be an orange zest in a lot of the dishes, which isn't in the descriptions. Wasn't quite prepared for that. 3. Panang curry is unlike any that I've had. Seemed like more of a yellow curry minus the potatoes? Now for the positives... 1. Generous portions - great value and I will still enjoy all of the food we ordered, no question. 2. Holy moly, the drunken noodles were phenomenal and made me forget all about eh aforementioned bamboo shoots. 3. Spring rolls = highly recommend. Great source of fresh veggies. I called them and they offered to make me a new dish. I went back and picked the new one up. Got home and again it was littered with hot chili pepper flakes. So every time we think we have tried very Asian restaurant in the area we are happy to find another gem. Located in a small mall is this Thai Viet themed restaurant. Had lunch there and were very impressed. Their Thai style papaya salad with long beans was out of this world. It was tangy and pungent in all the right ways. First time at the restaurant since it changed hands. Have to say it was very good. Bright and cheerful decor. Stuck with basics for our first go round. We had Crab Rangoon followed by Massaman Curry with Pork and Chicken Pad Thai. Portion sizes are generous and very flavorful. With wine and beer the bill was under $70. A bargain in these inflationary times. We'll be back to try some of the Chef's specialties very soon. read more

Absolutely amazing from top to bottom. Started with the Thai tea with Bailey's and rum - probably one of my new favorite drinks. Good recommendation on the rum for the drink as well. Proceeded to order the sampler - crab Rangoon was amazing, egg rolls and shrimp rolls were both very good. The Tom kha soup was probably the highlight of the meal. Love that they have duck as an added protein - finished with the drunken noodles and duck which were also good. All of the sauces for the sampler platter were also very stellar. Well I must say... Wowza! I met 3 close friends who lunch every month or so together, and we picked this place mostly cause we had 4 cars. A Tuesday at 1:00 pm for a girls lunch. Our server stated by taking my 3 quarts of soup I was bringing in , and gladly putting into the fridge. The space is spit shine clean and the atmosphere is chic, hip and well thought about. That's because of Phoenix.. the server. The design woman. Our food was a serious 5 star. One pho which was plentiful huge and the broth was insane. Tracy got a laab gai , which is a ground chicken salad over rice with red onion , lime, basil, greens. ( she left with 2 large containers) as it was huge and excellent. We had 2 curries .... A green and a yellow. One tofu, one chicken. Devine! This young , kind, ambitious server Phoenix was so motivated to share menu to take home and review the happy hour details . She wanted us back! Tonight was our 3rd visit to this place. i think they have the best Thai food I've ever had in Maine, maybe the best I've had anywhere. They food is very fresh and well prepared, the portions are so large we only ate half our meal and will enjoy the other half tomorrow. My wife and I had the absolute best experience at Pattaya kitchen. She's a picky eater and they had such a variety of options to chose from... gluten free, vegan, savory, sweet, they had it all. The dishes were piping hot and tasted as fresh as you can get. We definitely didn't leave hungry because the portion sizes were massive to say the least. And we definitely didn't leave right away because the atmosphere was so lovely. A very clean and elegant feel to the restaurant and the staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and comforting.
