I LOVE THIS PLACE. Any time I consider trying something else in the Golden Hill/South Park/East Village area for breakfast, I always end up regretting having not just gone to Intazza again. It never fails. The coffee and matcha hits the spot every time. The menu is vast and incredibly customizable. You could go a year ordering different items/variations without hitting half of their menu. And it's not like one of those places that try to do too much only for each plate to be sub-par...every dish I've had here has been amazing. Came in today, I'm actually here right now as I am writing this review. Place is located in Golden Hill and it is a fairly quiet area. Street parking is available, but as in most of the downtown area, could get full pretty quickly. I came about 8am and there were some spots still available. The place has a rustic feel to it and it is very spacey and open. Outdoor seating and pets are welcome! I got a small hot chocolate and really enjoyed it. I definitely like it more than Starbucks Coffee. I'm sure I'll be back here if I'm invited again. Free wi-fi and staff is very friendly. A very nice place to chill. I've never been to this area before so when I heard that the meeting point would be here-- I had to go. The interior is so big and designed beautifully. There are so many seats and the cushions are super comfortable. I love the varnish gloss on the tables, it makes the space look superb. The color palette of the space is beautifully thought out: black, brown, tan, crème, etc. It has big open windows that allow natural light in to fill the space. There's warm lighting as well. I love it, it's so homey. The menu is super big so take your time to look at it. I think it's positioned in an awkward place though. The drinks are on the pricy side, especially if you get an iced drink. The iced vanilla latte tasted like your average latte. I wish there was more of a vanilla oomph. They accept cash here! Right on the corner of two main roads with enough cars to keep it lively, we were able to find street parking pretty might right away so there was no problem there. We both got breakfast options. I got 3 scrambled and my partner had the eggs and bacon sandwich. Both were really tasty and fair price for the location. Latte and cappuccino were also good. They also allow dogs inside, but otherwise the outdoor seating area was very spacious. You go up and order and they will ask for your name. Then when the food is ready, one of the cashiers brought the food to our table and we just had to wait for our drinks to be called out. You enter and place your order at the counter, receive a table number, and then choose your seat. I ordered a Bees Knees Latte, Hot Mess, and Wakey Bakey Flatbread. Bees Knees Latte (4/5): Cinnamon, honey, and espresso! It could use less cinnamon and more honey, because I had to cough every time some went up. Hot Mess Tater Tots (4.5/5): Non-greasy fried potatoes that were super crispy. A savory soyrizo, sour cream, jalapeños, and cheese, and a fried egg made this dish filling and worth it. Wakey Bakey Flatbread (4.5/5): Delicious pesto is smothered on the base of the flatbread. With eggs and cheese, this protein filled choice was a great breakfast option and shareable. There was so much basil and plentiful tomatoes as well! It was also a beautiful day out which made the experience of dining here way better. Our drinks were ready at the counter, and our food was brought to us. The coffee was up to par, and I was surprised at how large the flatbread was. So simple, yet full of flavor.
