Sandwiches

Rosetta Bakery is a spacious Italian bakery selling in house baked breads and pastries with a full drink menu. They had a nice amount of savory sandwiches and sweet pastries. Everything looked delicious. I tried their flat bread pizza slices which had a nice fluffy texture. The apricot croissant was soft with a firm outter glazed shell. It wasn't too sweet either. I liked that the shop closes late and is located near Times Square and Bryant Park. The service here was fast and friendly. Open late with a variety of options for anyone with a sweet tooth. Indoor and take out available. Accepts cash, card and Applepay. Bon appetit!

Came on a Friday night with a friend and Rosetta's is packed! There is a lot of space for seating but since its so busy it may be hard to find a vacant spot for seating. There were many selections of sweets and sandwiches but we opted for the pizza. My friend got the margherita pizza while I got the spicy salami (not that spicy). These are thick rectangular slices of pizza AND it is very filling so it's pretty much worth its price imo. I love how the staff asked me which part of the pie I preferred - corner or middle. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area. Would defs try out their sweets or sandwiches at my next visit.

Stopped by at this Italian bakery for a snake before seeing a show around the corner. The place looked pleasant from the outside and inviting in the inside. The staff is friendly and their selection of Italian pastries are delectable. Had a Margarita pizza and bombolone with Nutella. The pizza was good but not earth-shaterring. The nutella bombolone was decadent. My glutton self can have 4 of those! Will visit this place again and have a coffee with their tasty looking pastries!!!

A bit commercial feel but service was great, the coffee very solid, and the food selections vast. We tried many of the taster size treats and tried one chocolate croissant. All were solid tasting. The lemon merengue was a table favorite.

This is a chain of bright Italian bakeries and the midtown west one off Broadway. Food (4.25/5) - very nice selection of Pizza, Sandwiches, Focaccia and Sweets. Had a custom Focaccia with Italian Ham, Mushrooms, Cheese and Olive Oil. Crust had a good crisp and the toppings were fresh and melted together. Added a Crème Cannoli that was just ok. Pastry was on the dry side and crème filling was average. Service (4.5/5) - friendly servers standing behind the counter ready to help you. They kept the line moving quickly and orders came out of the oven quickly. Atmosphere (4.25/5) - it's a nice bright open location with tables and chairs spread around the ample space. Very clean nice presentation makes the options look very appealing. Overall (4.25/5) - it's a good option for takeout or sit down lunch. Worth repeating.

Rosetta Bakery is so cute inside with a bright and modern feeling. They have a wide selection of pastries, desserts, and also fancy pizza with a variety of toppings. Everything looked so good but I was stuffed from breakfast so I just ended up getting an iced coffee to drink! Plenty of chairs and seating around. We sat on a comfy couch and just chilled while chatting. But for sure next time I would like to try their food and dessert items.

Great location, bright ambience, wonderful customer service, good coffee but if you're looking for pastries this doesn't rank like the top options in the city.

Chocolate croissant was amazing and my mom had a mini croissant and she liked it,the coffee was good. The Italian guy was very nice, but the music didn't match the Italian style.

This place is bright, clean and there was no line. There was a lot of seating inside but it was all taken. There were a few seats outside. Thank goodness the weather was only cool and not raining. We ordered multiple pastries to try but only had 1 since we'll be taking the others home. It was divine!!!! Perfectly baked and just the right amount of sweet without being sickly. This was my 1st time here, but I'll be back!

Eclectic bakery goods and lunch time meals can be had here to dine in &/or take out. A bit pricey but, due to the quality, worth it once in a while.

Prosciutto, bree, and arugula sandwich

I love this bakery!! I had a prosciutto sandwich on a baguette with Bree cheese and arugula. It was soooo good and all of the flavors went well together. Tasted just like the sandwiches I had in Italy. The fruit tarte was so good that I ate the whole thing. I don't like my desserts to be too sweet and this was perfect and so fresh. Highly recommend Rosetta when in NY. They always seem to be busy the few times I visited but worth the wait.

I love this bakery! We got the chocolate cake, cannoli, apple tart, and tiramisu. Chocolate cake: 6/10, I loved the frosting, it was nice and airy but the cake was dry, spongey, and a bit bitter. Cannoli: 10/10, it was perfect. The shell was perfectly crispy and the filling was the right amount of sweetness. It was rich and everything you want in a cannoli. The best I've ever had. Tiramisu: 7/10. The cake part had the same problem as the chocolate cake. Too spongey. But the filling was tasty. Apple tart: 10/10. Soft and flaky crust, the almonds provided a nice crunch and the apples filling was soft and gooey. The bakery was also super cute and not crowded at all. I would come back just for the cannoli!

A Hidden Gem in NYC's Theater District Rosetta Bakery is a delightful find nestled in the heart of NYC's vibrant Theater District. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with abundant natural light streaming through large windows, complemented by sleek wooden accents and elegant granite countertops. The space feels modern yet cozy, striking a perfect balance for a pre-theater bite or a quick stop during a busy day. The service is exceptional--attentive, friendly, and eager to ensure every guest leaves satisfied. The staff's efficiency makes it an ideal spot for those on a tight schedule, especially theatergoers looking for a quick yet satisfying meal. The food is where Rosetta truly shines. The display case greets you with an impressive array of offerings, from savory sandwiches to decadent pastries and everything in between. I opted for the Curcuma Bread sandwich with mozzarella, arugula, tomatoes, Prosciutto di Parma, and a drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil, finished with a high-quality balsamic glaze. The sandwich was a perfect harmony of flavors--salty, creamy, and savory with a subtle tang from the balsamic that elevated the experience. We also indulged in two mini fruit tarts, which were nothing short of fantastic, with buttery crusts and fresh, vibrant fillings. Price-wise, Rosetta Bakery delivers incredible value. The quality rivals that of higher-end establishments, but the cost is far more approachable than a full sit-down restaurant, making it a fantastic alternative for a quick, delicious meal in the area. As for family-friendliness, while kids could likely find something to enjoy, the vibe leans more sophisticated than chain bakeries like Panera. It's better suited for adults or older children with adventurous palates. One area for improvement would be accessibility. My wife, who uses a wheelchair, found the high-top tables inside challenging, as there were no standard-height tables available. Our only option was to eat at the lower tables outside, which were wet from recent rain. Adding a few accessible, standard-height tables indoors would make the space more inclusive and welcoming for all guests. Overall, Rosetta Bakery is a must-visit if you're in the Theater District and craving a high-quality, affordable meal in a pinch. Whether you're grabbing a sandwich before a show or treating yourself to a pastry, this bakery checks all the boxes for a memorable dining experience. A strong 4.6!!!

I was pleasantly…read moresurprised to find out they had a location in New York City, so I obviously had to give it a try. There are a few locations, but I decided to visit this one because it was the most convenient for getting to and from home. I got there around 7:00 PM, which felt a little close to closing time since Google said they close at 9:00 PM, but it wasn't busy at all. In fact, I was only the third customer to place an order. I ordered the La Summer sandwich and added pesto. After sitting down and taking my first bite, I immediately understood the hype. Without a doubt, this is one of the best sandwiches I've had in a very long time. I'm not even a huge sandwich person when it comes to subs and deli meats, but everything tasted incredibly fresh. The ingredients paired together perfectly, and you could still taste each one individually. The only thing I'd change next time is the meat. I had no idea prosciutto was a type of ham, but honestly, it didn't even taste like ham to me. It was sliced paper-thin, slightly salty, and worked surprisingly well with everything else. Next time, though, I'll probably add salami just to see how it compares. Overall, this sandwich was a solid 10/10, and I will absolutely be back--whether it's to try a different sandwich or, if we're being honest, order the exact same one again with salami added. I will say it's on the expensive side, but that's New York City for you. Apparently, all of the ingredients are flown in from Italy. After tax and tip, I paid a whopping $28 for a single sandwich. That said, it was incredibly filling and definitely kept me satisfied. The workers were also really nice and accommodating, and the indoor seating was beautiful. The atmosphere felt like a fancy Italian café, complete with couches and artwork throughout the space. I wish I had taken pictures, but honestly, I was too busy enjoying what might be the best sandwich I've had in years.

The menu inside breaks down all of the sandwhiches, you roll up to the deli counter when they say next, spill out your order (add/remove stuff to your order) and you're done. Be PREPARED this Sammie has some chili honey liquid /oil sauce they put on it and it's tasty but it's a lot. The staff are friendly - just focused on getting your order and getting it to you so you can enjoy. The wall is pretty interested they have made their own decor out of door panel fixtures.

Google their name and "best" and get hundreds of hits, but the majors who crowned them "best sandwich" title include Saveur Magazine, the big one touted by the family; Eater NY, ranking La Paradiso the most elite Italian sandwich outside of Italy; Las Vegas Weekly, who crowned them "Home of the world's best sandwiches"; TripAdvisor, for whom the Italian original is the most reviewed eatery with a near perfect rating; and The Infatuation NYC guides who promise the execution of the crispy, airy schiacciata bread completely justifies the hype. All 17 options looked amazing, so I spoke to a regular in line, telling her I couldn't decide between "La Paradiso", the most praised (even though she informed me "mortadella is just bolonie" or the Hot Italian, which was more my style. So, I did what any gluttonous American would do and I got both. And a Diet Coke, of course. La Paradiso has thinly sliced bolonie for a savory base, with creamy shredded stacciatella cheese, with sweet but earthy pistachio cream, and a sprinkle of toasted pistachio for texture (that I didn't detect). It was good, but I will likely fuggedaboutit. The Hot Italian had thin, lean turkey, spicy and smoky spreadable Calabrian pork sausage, a balancing provolone, calabrian chili honey, and peppery arugula (that they claim adds crunch that I didn't detect). Were they life-changing? No. But I rank Paradiso a 8.8 and Hot Italian a 10. And because everyone is hard-working and everything is so freshly prepared and cut, it's a class act. They should seriously make a sign that says, "Can't decide? Get two!" and then give me free sandwiches on my yearly trips for the idea.

I know it's in a very busy area with a lot of tourists, so I won't really dock them on that. I got the Shanghai spring rolls and the pork soup dumplings, and both were very good. The soup dumplings were actually quite large, but the spring rolls are pretty small. Came out to over 20 bucks, which is reasonable but more than it was. A stirfry noodle dish is like $25 now! Why they hid it all the way in the back, I have my assumptions and suspicions. I had to get an order of soup dumplings here so I got the Crab Soup Dumplings ($15). The skin is a bit thicker than other spots, but that means the skin ain't going to break on you easily. And do be careful how you bite into it, as the first one I bit into, the soup splattered all over my shirt and pants. Overall tasted great. Soup dumplings was not going to fill me up along, so I got something off of their lunch menu and settled upon Orange Chicken w Brown Rice ($18.50). Chicken was white meat, which is battered and deep fried. It says it was spicy, but it really wasn't. Comes with a vegetable spring roll and a choice of rice, which makes this a pretty decent lunch deal for $20. Menu prices are cash prices. If you pay with a credit card, they will slap a 2% processing fee. Overall, service was pretty decent as well. Would come back again for lunch.
