I've walked past this coffee shop so many times, but it always seemed packed. Today I finally got lucky and grabbed a seat. I ordered my usual hot Americano, and I was happy to see they use Lavazza coffee. It was smooth, rich, and exactly what I was looking for. My drink came with a small biscotti, which was a nice touch. The café has a cozy neighborhood vibe, and even though it's popular, the service was friendly and efficient. I can definitely see why it's always busy. I'll be stopping by again the next time I'm in the area. read more

This is a great spot for lovely pastries and kind service, but the coffee and matcha were unfortunately some of the worst I've had in the city. The matcha was very rough... it seemed like they put boiling water from the coffee machine into a cup with a few scoops of powder and didn't properly whisk it so it was thin and weak. The coffee (my friend got a caramel coffee) was overly sweet... yet somehow bitter and watered down (almost sour?) I didn't get to try the pastries or food but I see a lot of fantastic reviews for them so I'd consider returning for that, but otherwise I'd pass on the drinks. I hate to say this because I had a lovely experience with the service and it's a small business (which I love supporting), but the drinks absolutely need reworking. read more

Had the most amazing croissant with pistachio cream. There was a bunch of pistachio cream in the middle so you definitely get a lot of cream but also you get lots of bites without any cream, so you can really appreciate the croissant texture and flavor by itself. Aside from the fact that it's not super cheap (is anything?) the food here is delicious. I have not yet had the luxury of trying the coffee here yet, but i know it must be good as there are always several other people ordering it while im there, all seemingly local despite the locations proximity to tourist mania. I went on Saturday and tried the Cornetto di Parma $8.50 Prosciutto di Parma and asiago cheese It was to die for. warm, flakey, just small. vut delicious. Came back the next day to try the Parma panini which was filling and yummy, but the cornetto was far superior. give this place a try! read more

It's a cozy cafe with friendly staff near Lincoln Center. There aren't that many seating options, but there is a variety of food from pastries to sandwiches that all looked promising. I ordered a cappuccino and egg frittata for breakfast. The coffee is bold and contains a hint of hazelnut, one of the best I've had in the city. The frittata is pretty good too. read more

This is one of my absolute favorite cafe/coffee shops. Servers Always friendly and professional. The barista knows exactly what I want when I come in. "Ice Americano with a pump of chocolate." They serve LavAzza coffee which is amazing. They also serve Monin chocolate for the syrup. Delicious The almond croissants are always flaky and fresh! There are tables in the front under a small canopy, and when the weather is nice, they have a couple of tables outside. The prices are fair to a little high but the quality is excellent! They are a part of the Masseria Dei Vini restaurant, which is next-door with a completely separate entrance. I love this café and I'm here at least twice a week. I highly recommend them. read more

Swung by on a Wednesday morning to try their pistachio croissant, bombolone (jelly), and espresso. I was not disappointed and would recommend this place for good espresso. Their pastries were yummy, however for croissant aficionados, take note that these are more on the dough-y side and less on the flaky side. The service was fast and friendly. Like someone had mentioned before, there is minimal seating inside - but fortunately they have a small covered outdoor seating area in front. read more

I have been walking past since this opened a few months ago telling myself I was going to come here for breakfast. Today, I finally was up and out early enough to get here and get my coffee before 9am. The place is small inside but boy do they have a lot of different items. The woman who was taking my order was so helpful Along with the 2 others I saw inside (who helped me with some authentic pronounciation.. I'll get better). The main woman recommended her favorites and I just went with it. I ended up getting a panBrioche (no meat) which was egg and asiago cheese between hand made croissant bun . The croissant bun was soft and flakey as it should be. The sandwhich was more way more filling than I was expecting. You can get the same sandwhich with meat in it too if that's what you're feeling. I also got a sfogliatelle a similar outside to a croissant but with more structure filled with ricotta and some orange zest. This is definitely a sweet item as it's also sprinkled with powdered sugar. But not too sweet! Its pretty dense and filling. I was confused on the item when I was recommended it, but was pleasantly surprised with the consistency. Lastly (for food), I got a rustici, a puff pastry filled with ricotta and spinach which looks amazing but I haven't tried yet because I am still so full from everything else. Coming to a caffe I also had to get some coffee. So I went with my favorite morning sugar bomb, a mocha. I was medium happy... only because my husband ended up stealing most of it. The few sips I was able to take before the robbery were delicious . Next time I will definitely get a large so when it inevitably gets stolen I'll still have time to take it back. It is related to the nice restaurant next door with the same name so the caffe also has some nice lunch options including pizza, soup of the day, and pasta of the day (i was here early so didnt get to witness this quite yet). The Cafe is very small on the inside with only a few bar seats. But they also have a couple small tables outside. read more

This is one of my favorite cafes in NYC. The coffee and food are great. I highly recommend the egg and cheese croissant sandwich, the egg and spinach, the pistachio cornetto (croissant filled with pistachio cream), any of the muffins though the double chocolate is my favorite, the bombolone with either pistachio or Nutella, and the chocolate almond torta are all amazing. The sfogliatelle is also really good. The only thing I've had that underwhelmed me was the pignoli cookie and I've tried most of their pastries. The staff are also super friendly. It is amazing to find a neighborhood like feel spot in NYC with top notch food. read more

I wanted to love this place. The pastries are expensive and ok. The cookies are bland and tasteless. The muffin was great. I thought the glass jar fillled with nibs of biscottis was for the public to taste but i should have known better that they would be charging .75 for slivers of a biscotti that wasn't even good. I bet coffees are good but I didn't try them. Alll in all I would say it was ok. There are other bakeries around like Breads as well as in Time Warner that would be much better choices.
