We were walking around on a foodie tour by ourselves. By the time we got here we were stuffed but I saw two pieces of tempura for less than $5 so I had to try it. The sauce he served with it was excellent. The place is full of art and a band was setting up but we couldn't stay. I am visiting so I have marked it in my brain to come back on my next visit. This restaurant is a whole vibe. It has great outdoor and indoor seating and they do music nightly. They have different genres each night. The owner is super friendly and very welcoming. I had the ramen and it was good but not my favorite that I have had. The gyozas were some of the best I have had. I want to go back and try their pizza. I would say for the experience and atmosphere this is a must.

Rosewood Twist ($19.95) - This unique and creative broth was a mix of miso, black garlic, and spicy sesame. All the flavors blended so well and the spice complemented the rich black garlic. The highlight of this ramen was their chashu, which was tender and perfectly marinated.

My cousin and I came here for my birthday and we were greeted at the door by Edwin. He was friendly and attentive. His playlist was great! All my favorite oldies songs! I love the style of both inside and outside. Would love to come back when they have live music or to just have a drink at the bar. Had a few sake shots which went down nicely before the meal. We started with the karaage appetizer and it was not super crispy but it didn't matter because the meal was juicy and full of flavor. Yummy dipping sauce too. After hearing what was in the surf and turf ramen I decided I had to have it. The broth was incredible! So flavorful! The noodles were absolutely perfect texture and the bean sprouts went so well with them. My cousin got the birria ramen and it was like a pozole ramen combo which was delicious. We got a rosewood ramen to go because it sounded too good to pass up. We also got the shaken steak and fries to go. Whatever they use to flavor them was filled with umami goodness and so savory. It took me a while to decide to write a review for Rosewood. I really wanted to love this place (it ahd been in my bookmarks for a year) but there were some disappointing drawbacks after our first visit. The place is nicely decorated; the vibe is exceptional. I love the art exhibition, the decor and the staff. The owner is nice and very helpful. The food... 3 stars. 45 to 50 mins (empty restaurant) for a bowl of ramen, that was served luke warm. The broth was great, but portion was small and overall, I expected more. I did not like the black garlic oil. $22 for a small bowl of ramen is too expensive for what it was. Edamame were way overcooked and mushy. I was disappointed by other customers: a couple with a toddler who was hammering the piano and pulling a guitar strings while we were eating. Disrespectful and annoying. It didn't seem to bother the owner. Would I got back? maybe for a concert night. I'll update my review then.

What an incredible find in Oceanside! We were searching for warm food & couldn't decide on what cuisine, and then we stumbled upon Rosewood Kitchen via Yelp... and wow I am so glad we did. The best ramen & Asian fusion! This spot is a whole vibe with lots of local art on the walls & right off Mission Ave so very convenient to all things O'side. On Monday nights, they have Beats & Eats where a group of guys mix different hip hop electronic beats in such a lofi chill vibe.. it was so good, great background music & felt soooo chill! We started with steamed gyoza & spicy garlic edamame. Loved the chili oil & scallions on the dumplings, and the edamame was perfectly steamed & seasoned too. Our server Joshua (also found out he's the owner) was so passionate about the menu & what they offer in each dish... yum. I chose the birria ramen, and Joey got the katsu chicken over garlic noodles. The broth for the ramen was phenomenal & it had so many flavors (hominy, cilantro, wild mushrooms, bean sprouts, etc!) and it all went so well together with the beef birria & noodles! Joey's katsu was perfectly crispy over the noodles, and the sauces on the side of the big plate went really well with the dish. All in all, Rosewood Kitchen is doing something wonderful for Oceanside... the music was a treat on top of the phenomenal food. The portions were perfect too, we left full but not too stuffed & so incredibly happy. Huge thanks to Joshua & the kitchen crew for a warm welcome & a memorable dinner in Oside!!

Animal style edamame has everything in it but the kitchen sink, of course without the soap lol!! absolutely delicious!!!

This place was amazing. We're visiting from Las Vegas and the Ramen taste better than any place in Vegas! My husband got the animal Ramen and I got the surf and turf fantastic flavor. The owner was very gracious and kind came to our table to chat, five out of five experience. will come back next time we're in town for sure. Don't forget to try the appetizers the spicy garlic edamame, and the GYOZA steamed delicious!!

I'm so bummed to have to write this. I'd been dying to check out Rosewood for a long time, but the food was so disappointing. 1. The Oceanside Ninja was the worst - actually inedible. It was beyond spicy. There was Zero description - just three little flames. There should have been a description or verbal warning of what it actually is. Still, it was INEDIBLE. I now regret not sending it back and getting our money back. We even added a whole bowl of miso brother (they were nice enough to give that to "water it down"). I took it home and added a container of vegetable broth - IN.EDIBLE. It hurt so bad after a spoonful that my insides were on fire. It hurt so bad. I've never had such a horrible experience - and we are people who love spicy food and enjoy a good sweat. Worse - there was no flavor. Just horrible burn. 2. Which takes me to my ramen. Advertised as the special with a combo of flavors, I was so excited. Presentation was on point (pictured). Sadly, no flavor in the broth!! It was supposed to mix sesame - which I looooove - but it was completely absent. The noodles were bland as heck. Top Ramen noodles, alone, are more flavorful. Tempura shrimp were good and the egg was cooked perfectly/beautifully. Mushrooms were completely raw, not even softened from the broth. *Interjection - still can't get over the inedible ramen. I'm still so mad I didn't send it back, Especially as it ended up in the trash and my insides crying. I told many friends about our experience and they all questioned why we didn't send it back. I think we were just in shock. My husband said to toss it but I wanted to try and salvage it. Fail. 3. My husband took me here for my Birthday. He said that he added a note about my birthday to the reservation. Unfortunately, nothing was done, not even a, "We hear it's your birthday - happy birthday!" He even made a verbal comment in front of me to the server and still nothing. When the dessert came out, my husband said (again, in front of the server, "I'm sorry there was nothing special done." He felt so bad and demoralized. He loves doing special things, so he was super disappointed. So bummed to have to write this. Ambiance was good (although they left the door open on a very cold night and we were cold the entire time). Sake was good and the d.j. was great. Server was nice, but see all the comments above. We were prepared to make this a new spot, but more the more we sat with this, the more disappointing we felt. Loss of money along with inedible food. Quadruple thumbs down.

The vibes are there; there was a live vinyl Dj playing and lots of art to look at. Super hip in here! The server Josh was attentive and kind! You can also pay with QR code on the receipt so don't have to wait. Cucumber salad, imo should be called a house salad. Most restaurants I go to marinate the cucumber in rice vinegar and other ingredients and call it cucumber salad. I was bamboozled thinking that's what I was gonna get. Basically a miso ginger flavor dressing with some lettuce, topped with cucumber. Sparking sake on tap, kinda pricey for something that's tap! 2 drinks for $26 We both ordered from the special menu Birria ramen was flavorful and the small cheese quesadilla instead of seaweed, hominy and cactus was a nice added touch culture. Paired well with the ramen flavors! Broth wasn't too rich which is what I'm used to but it all blended well together! Mole karaage fried rice. 4.5/5 needed more orange sauce!

We haven't been to Rosewood Kitchen in a while. And when I discovered they have significantly changed their menu, I thought we could give them another try. The menu items looked interesting. I really liked their older more "Italian" menu and we came several times during that era. The new Asian-fusion inspired menu seems like an experiment they are trying. One thing that was instantly off-putting was the menu. It was a laminated black menu with some pictures of the food. While I appreciate photos, the menu itself was tattered and kind of grimy. You immediately went from a possible 4-star experience to a 3-star. Here's what we ordered: * Garlic Edamame * Chicken Katsu & Garlic Noodles * Filet Mignon & Fried Rice * Shaken Steak N Fries The edamame was good. I thought the garlic noodles and fried rice dishes were okay also. Not great, but I ate everything on the plate (we also had not eaten yet). The steak & fries was really not very tasty. The fries get soggy if you don't eat right away. Saying a dish has "filet mignon" implies a lot of things. The meat was tender, but needed a bit more seasoning and some char would have been nice. Service was good. No complaints there, but there was a 3% "Service Fee" on our bill. Not sure what that is, but it's a sneaky thing that some restaurants try to do without informing us ahead of time. I didn't order any service fee but it's on my bill as if I did. Total was $95.44 for three dishes, a beer, sangria and a service fee. My wife and daughter didn't really care for any of the dishes and said they wouldn't return most likely.

I had the special which was rice, chicken with chipotle mole poblano, and it was delicious. This place is amazing. It is a art gallery with live music and delicious food. This place is so amazing that there should be a cover fee just to come in and sit here and enjoy good company.

The server/owner seemed very enthusiastic about the dishes when explaining them. He was pretty kind. However, I was just not the biggest fan of the food. The portion was pretty small for the price. My plate costed around $20, but the garlic noodles were a bit dry and the meat wasn't the quality I expected (I usually would have filet mignon more tender and thick cut). My friend did not quite like the hardness of their noodles in the veggie ramen - we suspect their food was made first and sat out for a bit before serving since the soup wasn't steaming. I also seemed to find an eggshell piece inside my food, even though my order didn't include an egg. In the building itself, it felt pretty hot. It was easy to pay through the QR code provided on the receipt. Perhaps this place is kinda new and can still grow.

My "foodie" daughter suggested I expand my appetite for Asian food, so I went to Rosewood kitchen and ordered a dish the owner Joshua suggested - Rosewood twist surf and turf, Ramen. It will be prepared as spicy as you like. The dish was delicious and I would recommend it. There were cubes of beef, mushrooms, and shrimp tempura. I loved the corn and the green onions and bean sprouts. Joshua is a cordial host who will describe and recommend his Japanese cuisine. I discovered he is well known in the neighborhood for his pizza which I will have to try next time. read more

As someone with celiac disease, a child with celiac disease, and another child with gluten intolerance, I made our dietary needs very clear to the server, whom I believe was the owner, Joshua. I mentioned that two of us have celiac at least three times, mentioned gluten intolerance at least twice, and gluten-free even more times. I noticed that my son's menu had gluten-free labels with yellow circles next to at least two items, while mine did not. When I asked Joshua about this discrepancy, he quickly brushed it off and dismissed my concerns without providing any clear explanation, stating they were updating the menus. This raised concerns about the restaurant's commitment to gluten-free safety. So because of that concern, I continued to reiterate our celiac and gluten-free dietary needs to ensure they weren't being lackadaisical about it. Our friend who lives in the area recommended this restaurant for its ramen, so I ordered the veggie ramen that I was told was my only gluten-free ramen option with its rice noodles. Joshua stated that I could not have tofu or tempura with it because they contained gluten, so the dish was served with beef. However, when the meal arrived, after several bites, I realized the yellowish noodles tasted, looked and felt like wheat noodles, not gluten-free rice noodles. So I waved to the server to confirm my suspicion. He said they were wheat noodles and removed the bowl from the table. He also said he didn't know how that happened since he flagged our order as gluten-free. Neither the chef nor he noticed the mishap, though it passed both their hands. Before my remade ramen order came out, I did also ask if the rice noodles were cooked in the same water and pot as the wheat noodles and the server told me they use separate pots. Additionally, I was disappointed by the lack of follow-up and Joshua's dismissive attitude throughout the evening. Even after the issue was identified, there was no genuine follow-up that reassured us or beckoned us to ever return. Ultimately, while the ramen charge was waived for only my dish on our entire tab, the overall experience left much to be desired in terms of care and attention to gluten-free safety. Despite repeated confirmations and careful communication, I ended up consuming gluten, leading to significant discomfort and digestive issues and muscle aches for several days. I could not have been more clear or diligent in expressing our needs and the restaurant could not have been more sloppy in serving up our allergens. In conclusion, I would not recommend this restaurant to others with gluten sensitivities, as the lack of thoroughness and genuine care or knowledge concerning food allergies is very concerning. read more

Rosewood Kitchen has been serving the downtown Oceanside area for over 3 years and they've come a long way. They were part of the strategic business partnership that kept many of their neighboring alcohol-based establishments opened during the quarantine of 2020 (by serving food to their customers) Originally, Rosewood Kitchen had a very diverse menu that ranged from Italian to European. They were known for their pizzas, lasagna and similar dishes. Actually, their menu was probably too diverse and lacked focus, making it difficult to keep up with the cost of maintaining qualitative ingredients. So, as of September 2023, Rosewood now is focused on more concise menu that is Japanese-inspired. This also resonates deeply with the owners roots in Japan and that the downtown area is lacking a proper destination for ramen. Playfully called Rosewood Ramen, this small-owned food destination now has a chance to shine with their menu price-points, with entrees all under $20 and appetizers under $10. They've also got $4 beer and wine specials. Located on Mission Ave and also serving neighboring establishments like Booze Bros and Coomber's, you can choose outside patio-dining or you can enjoy the earth-artsy interior that has plenty of couples seating and for groups as well. On Mondays they have live music from talented local DJs who keep the vibes mellow with Lo-Fi music, which compliments the ambience well. I love their gyoza appetizers, which comes either steamed or fried; they also have garlic edamame, katsu chicken, a cucumber salad (made with local veggies from our farmers market) or tempura brussel sprouts and more, all under $9. For dinner I had their black garlic Tonkotsu Ramen and it was amazing! The flavors were incredible and I love their use of duck confit fat in the broth. The portion size was also huge for being under $16 a bowl and I was completely & pleasantly stuffed and barely had room with my appetizer. Overall, I am REALLY love these new improvements to Rosewood Ramen and I appreciate that they've focused their menu on ramen and kept the prices so low! Their drink specials are great and I also love that they support local farmers & businesses too. I highly recommend giving them a shot for your next ramen craving or just to enjoy an affordable dinner-date. read more

The staff are friendly and attentive, it's a great small crew that are very personable and kind. I really enjoy the Chicken Katsu at Rosewood. Sometimes I get it over noodles, and sometimes I just get the appetizer version with a nice cold beer. It really is the best Katsu around here. Always delicious and crispy, it's my go to. Also in case you weren't aware, they make a great pizza! Any of the pizzas go great with a glass of wine. They have a Cabernet and a Pinot Noir that I enjoy too. read more

I just went to rosewood and had the gyoza. It was so delicious and full of flavor. I also had the pizza and ramen. It was sooooo good. The service was great. The server was named Edwin! He was the best. He had the best recommendations and the food lived up to it. 10/10 place to be ! read more

So... we found this restaurant on Yelp while looking for a kid friendly restaurant in Oceanside, California. All the photos posted portrayed a wide variety of dishes that the kids would like such as pastas and pizzas; however, when we got there, the menu was very much limited compared to what we found online. We were limited to the typical Asian appetizers, Ramen and a couple pizza options. The Karaage was a bit bland/dry. We loved the gyoza -- it had a crisp outside and warm on the inside. The cucumber salad had a nice sesame flavor. The Shogun black pepper salad was okay. It came with a dressing that helped to enhance it a bit. My family had a couple of different ramen options which I tasted. The Birria Ramen was unique (not pictured) but I found adding the lime flavor was too strong. They used brisket rather than goat which was pretty tasty. read more

So this spot is our new favorite restaurant! Popped in because our son wanted ramen + pizza. He found it!! The food was amazing and then the music so surprised us. The dj was hot there were two incredible dancers who started giving lessons. We felt so welcomed by this incredible community. As we left, the owner Joshua introduced himself. A lovely oasis in Oceanside, we ate in the outside arena and had a mighty tasty lunch. The beer selection was fairly extensive. I enjoyed a hazy IPA. We had a vegan in our midst, who got a plate full of toasted veggies and a "side" salad of substantial proportion. Other son had a seafood spaghetti which disappeared with alacrity. Mama enjoyed the soup and salad, and my fish tacos were wonderful, with a really delicious frijole refrito and salsa. Service was great; checking in frequently and keeping the water flowing. Great reggae playing softly in the background. I wish we lived closer! Recommended for the family! read more

We went here for my birthday when we dropped by Oceanside and were disappointed, we thought from the great reviews that it would be good. I ordered the apple salad and I'm pretty sure that some of the greens were rotten. I had a really bad bite and just didn't finish the rest. We also ordered the fried rice balls as an appetizer and these were super gummy, the frozen section of Trader Joe's has better quality. My husband's chicken parmesan was good, so I would recommend that dish. Luckily, the gelato next door is amazing so we went there and enjoyed the rest of our night. read more

My sister and I ventured into this location two weeks in a row. The first visit was 5 star, the second visit was not. We were some of the only people at the location just before 4pm on a weekend and the owner was great. He came over while we were waiting for Booze Brothers to open up (it was late) and let us know about his beer options. $5 beers? Yes! They have a small beer list, but all good choices. We also got the birria ramen, which was amazing. It was such a nice visit, we came back a week later. The second visit was on New Year's Eve at about 5:30pm. The restaurant was not full, so we thought great! We ordered gyoza, two beers and a main dish. The beer and gyoza came out quickly. Very good stuff. The main dish? After waiting an hour, we canceled that order and paid for what we did receive. We were then told by the staff a large order was called in before us, and that's what delayed our dinner. I would love more communication next time or before we order. I will think about giving this place one more try as the food is great when you get it. read more

We had such a lovely lunch here. I ordered the steak and fries and my husband ordered the surf and turf. I was a little nervous that I picked a more boring meal compared to some of the other stuff on the menu, but I was wrong to be nervous. The steak and fries were SO good. Steak was tender and well cooked, the fries were crispy and seasoned well, and it came with a delicious green sauce. For a meal that was super simple, it was so delicious and well done. My husband was equally as stoked on his surf and turf ramen. Tasty food, big portions, suuuuper nice service -- all in all a very enjoyable meal. read more

Mom and I stopped in for a could drinks and light apps. Shared the Cucumber salad, which was a delicious mix of Spinach, cucumber, sesame seeds and a ponzu or shoyiu sauce. Light and flavorful. The fried gyoza were perfectly crispy and soft. Our drinks were our favorite part (what we really stopped in for) the triple j sangria was full of body and the sake spritz was so unique and refreshing. If you're visiting Oceanside, I cannot recommend Rosewood Kitchen enough. The owner, Joshua, is has a wonderful personality/vibe and his hospitality was second to none...oh, and the food was OUTSTANDING. I had the karage as an appetizer and the house special "Rosewood Twist" Tonkotsu Ramen bowl - both were top tier. Joshua shared stories of his life and his passion, roots, and respect for Japanese culture showed in his food. A wonderful experience all around. AUTOMATIC GRATUITY ADDED: An automatic gratuity (tip) of 20% is added to the bill! This isn't clear on the menu nor is it posted on the table outside. Then the receipt asks for additional tip. So basically, its a 20% uncharge/service fee on top of menu prices plus a solicitation for even more tip. I've seen this at hotels, fine restaurants, and banquets, I read that sometimes restaurants will charge for large parties because they expect to have additional staff on the table. We received no special attention or added service. I met a group of friends here. One of the friends, a vegan, raved about the place because she had visited on a night they served dinner and enjoyed her vegan options. We arrived after everyone was already seated. Anyway, I was expecting to enjoy Rosewood Kitchen but unfortunately that wasn't the case. PROS: Our waiter was friendly and able to give good menu suggestions. I wanted glass of red wine. Since they don't have a drink menu, I was just going to order a glass of merlot. She recommended a Malbec and I did really enjoy it. There was live music which wasn't overwhelmingly loud. We were able to carry on conversation without shouting. Very pleasant. Unfortunately, we went on a day they only offered Tapa's so this review does not cover their main menu. These were all small tapas appetizer size orders I ordered the Rosewood Wings they were flavorful $11 Nice flavor with a little kick but not overly hot. Not overly seasoned or saturated. White dipping sauce was very complementary. CONS: Croquetas $9 came with about 6 little croquette fried balls. They were fried so we gave it a minute to rest at the table before eating one. Still, it was hard to taste anything because they were so hot inside. Finished the wings and came back to have a second one. White dipping sauce was again complimentary - but it could not save the croquettes that lacked any flavor. nothing special. we would not order them again Fried Chicken Fries. $11 x 2 Fries were unseasoned and unsalted. Chicken was okay but the sauce was flavorful. Together the dish was underwhelming and meh. None of the menu items have ingredient list. I really feel there are certain foods, like mushrooms/onions/nuts, that need to be listed or if not listed, mentioned by the staff. My nephew is not a fan of mushrooms and this dish had them. Of course, he wouldn't have ordered it had he known. Lemonade: Not a fan. So to recap: We liked the waitress, wine. music and Rosewood wings We were not fans of anything else we ordered And it's a hard pass for us when automatic gratuities are added without it being posted because its so disingenuous. I'm sure a lot of people don't even realize this and give another full tip. read more

Eehh its a NO go for the Ramen ...My wife had the 3flavor "special" and I had the oside spicy street ninja ramen bowl ...The flavor is weak and the noodles were blah..The choice of meat was pork and was also disappointing "rubbery".We didn't try anything else on the menu, so there might be something good...Service is excellent and overall cool looking restaurant read more

Food wasn't too bad, we came here after hanging out at Frankie's. We got a bottle of wine to share, they didn't have the ones listed on their menu, so we picked it from the bar. We ordered the Caesar salad and brussel sprouts to start. It was pretty good. For entrees I got the pappardelle with ragu. The pappardelle was cooked right, and the ragu tasted good except it was like cat food, really mushy. The texture was a little too mushy for me, but had good flavors. My husband got the penne with chicken parm. He liked the chicken parm, but the pasta was like box pasta. Overall, not a bad place for decent food. read more

I always get excited to find hidden gems when traveling, and for some reason saw this and had to try it out. So glad we did! This is some of the best ramen I've had. Meticulously prepared with black garlic and just the right spices, their tonkatsu has to be tried to be believed. We'll definitely be stopping by again. read more

We dined at the Rosewood today. Initially, we were a bit apprehensive as the place was empty, but it was just after 1 PM. Our waitress/host was friendly and promptly took our order. We chose the fried rice with filet mignon, steak and fries, pepper steak salad, and spicy miso ramen, along with chicken karaage for an appetizer, which the kids loved. Though the food took a little while, it was worth the wait. The steak salad was surprisingly delicious with tender steak, flavorful dressing, and fresh vegetables. The ramen, featuring a piece of flavorful pork belly and the best ramen egg we've ever had, was outstanding. The fried rice was very flavorful, and the steak was tender once again. Our favorite dish was the steak and fries, which had an irresistible umami flavor and was quickly devoured. We highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning to try the garlic noodles soon! read more

My fiancé and I were visiting the area and we're craving pasta so we decided to Stop by, we were immediately sat on the patio, the restaurant only had 2 two other tables when we arrived. We were immediately served water and told of some specials. The waiter was super nice, but felt like he was spaced out a little bit. There was only 3 tables (all of 3 people or less) and after he delivered the waters it took him around 15 minutes to come back and take our order. We ordered a Caesar salad, lobster ravioli and the parpadelle ragu. The Caesar was really good and the croutons were amazing. The pink sauce on the lobster ravioli was to die for and the dish was a star. The ragu was really flavorful and amazing. Although it took over 30 minutes to get the food, the food was worth the wait. It was one of the best pastas I've ever had. Now that I'm writing this I am craving it again. The food is the star. I would give 5 stars if it was just about the food. The slow service unfortunately brings the stars down for me. But if you have time, stop by to try the food. read more

For some of the best ramen that Oceanside has to offer, I recommend The Wu Lan Ramen located in the Plaza Del Oro Shopping Center, just south of the 76 Hwy. The plaza has limited parking, but it isn't typically too crowded and you should be able to find parking in front of this family-owned ramen restaurant. They have a quaint and trendy ambiance and they placed a lot of care into their anime murals, which lends to a "whimsical" vibe. It's a nice blend of traditional elements & colors and modern (kawaii) accents. The interior is also spacious and has great seating for groups and is also good for couples too. Enjoy table seating or better-yet at their bar seating and you can chat with the friendly staff! They have a "staple menu" that is written in chalk on a board and then there's their menu that is very diverse. They also have a great Happy Hour menu with items priced below $8, including sake! I enjoy their pan-fried gyoza, salted edamame, miso soup, firecracker shrimp, fried calamari, chicken karaage and most other delicious dishes. Their sushi menu is also high quality grade and I feel is often overlooked and underrated. But their ramen is what shines the most! There are so many styles & varieties! There's a lot to customize and their broth is amazing! There are many tasty bowls, desserts and don't forget to grab a sake or a craft beer! The Kauai roll was flavorful and filling. The fried rice threw me a little. Was expecting so many different veggies in it. Very tasty. Looking forward to having the Kauai roll again. Staff was very friendly.

I have no idea why it's called Haig's but it's a short order food honeyhole. It's hard to find a breakfast that's got this much value. Bacon, eggs, sausage, english muffin, pancakes for $8. All their lunches are filling and inexpensive. A great way to keep you fueled for multi hour table runs. They have American and Asian menus, while kinda taste the same, but they have some bangers. Staff is fantastic, hustler, hospitable, great service. Drink prices are chill and worth every penny. They will almost never cut you off unless you get violent or slur your speach bad, fall asleep. Parking is still terrible, parking across the street may get you ticketed/towed if you park there overnight, so try and park as close as possible to get on the cameras. Lots of homeless in the area, but none in the card rooms. Bathrooms are high traffic, but actually kinda clean. Even after all these years I'm still up on them eventhough with the legalization of online betting I still have reason to come here despite doing it all online or roulette in Vegas.

They used to have a simple, perfectly fine system where you could call in and put your name on the board for poker games. Easy. Convenient. Player-friendly. Now? That's gone. Instead, they're forcing everyone to download an app just to get on a list. Why? Not everyone wants to download another app. Some people don't have the space. Some people don't trust giving random third-party apps access to their phone. And believe it or not, some people *don't even have smartphones*. So what, those players just don't matter anymore? That's not innovation--that's exclusion. If you want to OFFER an app, great. Give people options. But completely removing the ability to call in is just lazy and tone-deaf. It shows zero consideration for your actual customer base. And this isn't the first time management has ignored players. The chip color change on the 4/8 table from blue to pink? Almost nobody liked it. Players spoke up. And just like now--nothing. No listening, no adjustments, no care. At this point, the place feels like our current government--quick to take your money, but not interested in listening to the people who actually keep the lights on. The players are the ones funding this place, and yet their voices couldn't matter less. It really feels like the people making these decisions don't play here, don't talk to players, and frankly don't care. There's no focus on improving the player experience--just unnecessary changes that frustrate everyone. Heartless, out-of-touch management. If you're going to make changes, at least make ones that *help* your customers, not push them away. If I see any changes or improvement, I will remove this comment.

We found ourselves here recently on back to back days while we were in town for a friend's wedding. The property is huge! They offer a big parking garage and multiple entrances inside the property. It's very spacious with plenty of table games and slot machines. The walking paths are wide and spacious which is definitely a plus if you have elderly family members. My wife signed up for a players card and they offered a minimum of $25 free play. The attendant helped check an account for myself and found a card from many years ago. One nice gesture was she added the free play promo to my card as well. I really appreciated that, so huge shout out to her. Pechanga also tier matches with the Venetian/Palazzo players cards. We enjoy playing here simply because it is very spacious, the food options are decent and we have no problem finding machines to play and have some fun. Fun times! ( ^_^)b

Hygiene warning! Urine in the closet!…read more I stayed here from 6/12/26-6/14/26 for a friend's wedding. The room was standard casino hotel fare -- slight dust, lackluster sheets -- nothing alarming. Upon check-in, I placed my packing cubes with clothes on top of the small dresser inside the closet, where they stayed the entire weekend. Sunday morning at checkout, I went to grab my last set of clothes and made an unfortunate discovery: everything on that dresser REEKED of URINE. My clothes were dry, but the smell was unmistakably human urine. I thought I was losing my mind, so I asked my fiancé to smell the dresser after I cleared my clothes -- she gagged. Our best guess: a previous guest relieved themselves in the closet, and it wasn't cleaned up properly. At 8:45am on 6/14, I went to the front desk to report it. The attendants were empathetic and went to find a manager. After 5-10 minutes with no manager in sight, I had to leave -- I had a 12:20pm flight out of ONT and needed to stop at Target to buy clothes to wear home to Austin, TX. The front desk took my phone number and email, gave me a business card for Guest Services Manager Nathan Vicente, and said someone would follow up. I specifically requested an email since I'd be traveling all day. After my travel day, no call, no email. At 5:59pm PT I called the number on the card -- the manager on call had clocked out at 5pm. Monday 6/15, still no outreach by 12:50pm. I called at 12:59pm and reached the new Guest Services Manager, Jessie Matteson. She informed me this was a Housekeeping matter and would escalate it. To her credit, she followed through quickly -- Housekeeping Manager Christina Reyes called me at 1:44pm. I expected resolution. Instead, Christina told me she'd inspected the room, said everything was fine, and Pechanga would not be doing anything for me. When I asked when the room was first checked, she said 9:53am on 6/14 -- about an hour after my complaint. I found that hard to believe, and after two calls and a third callback just to receive a flat denial, I told Christina I thought she was being dishonest. Not my finest moment, but I had no other response. All I had asked for was a one-night refund. Instead, I was denied and made to feel like my experience wasn't real. I won't be returning, and I'd advise anyone staying here to do a smell check of their room first.

The location is great, with a large parking lot that's easy to get in and out of. I still love the lobby and overall atmosphere. It feels a lot more upscale than your average movie theater, and everything seemed clean and well maintained. The biggest disappointment was the service. We ordered a popcorn refill and additional drinks during the movie and ended up waiting about 30 to 40 minutes for them to arrive. I also never received a receipt at the end and had to stop by customer service afterward. I also have to mention how much I miss the Greek bowl they used to serve. It had gyro meat and was hands down my favorite thing on the menu. I would love to see it make a comeback. I'll definitely be back because I still enjoy the theater overall, but I do feel like the experience isn't quite as good as it used to be.

This is a long review so if you are here for my experience at rosewood, scroll to the second paragraph, if you'd like to read everything (which I encourage), please do. Firstly, was appalled to see that this negative Nancy, supposedly a "regular", was operating at a 'lightbulb-in-a-power-outage' level of thinking." Just wanted to clarify, as someone who comes to rosewood a couple times a month, and always had such a wonderful time. Before i get into my review (second paragraph), I'd like to share some of my critical thinking skills with the few that decided to leave subpar reviews about this establishment. 1: The sidewalk is PUBLIC, everybody has the right to be on PUBLIC property, even the homeless. No one can tell anyone to leave if they are on public property, even if they are in front of a business, simple logic. 2: This is a small business, so what they charge a dollar for an ounce of their delicious sauce, small profit margins = can't cut corners as much as large cooperations, common sense. 3: There's different music every night, that attracts crowds of ethnicities, race, sex, etc., can't be u happy when a certain class of people show up wanting to listen to music. And my last point before I actually give my review; 4: This is Oceanside, you cannot go a single day without witnessing some homeless people doing weird or crazy stuff! This isn't La Jolla. If you are supposedly a "regular", one bad experience, that is out of the owner's hands, shouldn't cause you to have such a tantrum. Now while everyone has a right to their own opinion, let's use critical thinking and common sense before we bash a small, family business. Review: Rosewood, the few times I have been, have been exceptional. While the ramen may be bland a couple of times, let the owner know, as he always welcomes feedback! Other than some little bumps, the owner (Josh), is a one man show running this business. We've been here a few times when it was busy and he always tried his best to keep cool, even while serving, bussing and pouring drinks meanwhile the restaurant is full of people. If you're coming here for the ramen, you can't go wrong with the basic miso. It comes with pork and you could add chicken to it for $5 dollars. The J3, which is a mix of the house made, red and white sangria is TO DIE FOR. Additionally, the dirty bird fries, and the filet mignon with noodles (which I had on two separate occasions), were just as beautifully prepared and delicious as they looked on the menu. The ambience, it exceptionally beautiful. There is art surrounding the whole restaurant, with even a gallery that leads you to the restrooms, definitely would come in, just to check out the artwork. We came on a Sunday, so a slower day, and there was this band named "FNK" that was playing... WONDERFUL. They played some cover songs and sang especially well. Enjoyed every song they played. The service, was amazing as always, with Diego taking our orders and being prompt with what we needed. Overall, experience at rosewood so far has been nothing but excellent. Don't let all these negative reviews fool you. You can't come to a small business expecting perfection every single time, especially if it's the first time. 10/10! read more

I'm always on the lookout for new restaurants to explore in Oside. Despite living here for quite some time, I'm still discovering new local eateries. Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting Josh, the owner of one of my recent finds. He was extremely welcoming and informative, and I could tell that he takes great pride in his menu and business. I have a soft spot for owners who are friendly and passionate about their establishment, so it was wonderful to see someone so involved. The restaurant has beautiful artwork on display, and the dim lighting and jazzy tunes create a relaxing atmosphere. They also have a stage where local musicians can perform and a spacious outdoor patio to enjoy the California sunshine. Now, let's talk about the food! The menu is small, but that's actually something I enjoy. It makes the experience feel more intimate and personalized. I went with the Shaken Steak N Fries, and it was scrumptious! The portion was generous, and as with any steak and potatoes meal, it was quite filling. The sangria was tasty too. I'm already planning my next visit to try their ramen! #supportlocal read more
