Visited Rosie's on a Saturday night for pizza and some wine! I had a reservation and sat at the bar. Austin was one of the bartenders and he was amazing--he did not miss with his suggestions! One of his suggestions was the Cacio e Pepe pizza (added sausage and mushrooms) and it was delicious! No notes really! I really enjoyed the staff, everyone was friendly and had a nice aura! Also, not sure who was on the aux but the playlist was fire. They played songs that if you knew, you vibed! I am definitely returning!

Lovely ambiance!! Perfect for a date or a girls night out. Great happy hour at 9pm, half off pizzas and booze. Absolutely loved the cacio e pepe pizza, knew this place deserved the Michelin regard after taking a bite. Cocktails are very fun and strong! On the sweeter side for most, our server gave us great recommendations.

I went to Rosie Cannonball with a group of friends on a Saturday night to celebrate my birthday, and it was such a great experience. Make a reservation -- it's an absolute must. They also offer complimentary valet, which is super convenient (just don't forget to tip your driver!). Even though it was packed, our waiter was incredibly sweet and attentive the entire night. They started us off with some complimentary wine and we paired that with the focaccia, which was warm, fluffy, and delicious. For pizzas, we ordered two: the spinach artichoke dip pizza, which was good with great flavor, and the hot honey pepperoni pizza, which completely stole the show. It was a 10/10 -- so good that I already have another reservation this weekend just to go back for it. For dessert, we had their famous honey cake, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. It's a must-order -- seriously, save room for it. We also tried the chocolate chip à la mode, which was really good, and since it was my birthday, our waiter brought out some gelato, which was a really nice touch and tasted great. For drinks, I had an amaretto sour and the Montrose Mami -- both were good, but I especially loved the Montrose Mami. It's basically like a piña colada and super refreshing. Overall, this place is popular for a reason. If you haven't tried it yet, you definitely should.

    Chicken Basquaise was delicious.

Went to here to celebrate my birthday and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing! Here is what we got and what I would recommend... The Focaccia is a must, 10/10 The tuna tartare also delicious 8/10 We ordered 3 pizzas - the pepperoni 9/10, supreme 9/10, and cacio e pepe 10/10. The cacio e pepe is a must. It was outstanding. Our sever recommended the salsa verde with it and he was right. Btw.. get all 3 sauces and the hot honey. They are delicious and will elevate your pizza experience. We also got the chicken basquaise 9/10 and the bolognese 10/10. All chefs kiss. Dessert - the honey cake was incredible 10/10 and the rhubarb was great 8/10. Vibe and ambiance 10/10 - cool place! Now, the server was ok. Nothing special, not very attentive. Could have honestly been better, given the fact that they have a bib gourmand recognition and there's a lot of buzz surrounding it. I would definitely recommended this place. We will def be back.

My colleague Maria put me on to Rosie's. I knew I could trust her pizza reviews and I'm glad I listened. I came specifically for the pepperoni pizza and it was worth it! Fresh ingredients and a nice crust, and I opted for extra pepperoni to make sure I wasn't disappointed. It was a lazy weekend night for me so I placed a carry out order, but next time I'll be dining in. The ambience of the dining room is perfect for a date night or a solo date to indulge in a guilty pleasure. Overall 9/10.

Rosie Cannonball is Houston's only Italian Michelin-listed restaurant. The vibe, ambiance, food, and service is perfect for a girls' night or dinner date. We received complimentary glasses of rosé and a blistered bean salad upon being seated. I definitely felt wined and dined. The high tables even have bag hooks! The service was amazing (even when they were busy). My friends and I really enjoyed their cocktails and the bone marrow. Their honey cake is a MUST-TRY. Totally melts in your mouth. So flavorful and to die for.

really relaxed atmosphere, i came during their reverse happy hour (half off pizzas) and the service was still fast regardless of how busy they were! i ordered the cacio e pepe, and it was delicious. a "white pie" that was very flavorful, and a nice vegetarian option. for the appetizer, i tried the blistered bean salad. at first appearance, it looks like a meal for rabbits. but it was beyond flavorful, with roasted warm veggies, giving it a smoky flavor. i enjoyed everything and the waitress was really friendly and helpful! :) would come back

Charred Cabbage-$20. The best vegetable I've had in 2025 and 2026! lol The duck skin and dressing are addictive!

I don't even know where to begin... This place is the bees knees.... Bomb.com...... My fire and desire..... Just whoa! The best meals I had in 2025 were all in Houston. I might need to go ahead, Pull the trigger, and sell my Dallas home! PSA!!! Ya'll, YOU MUST GO DURING HAPPY HOUR (9pm-10pm, daily). I know an hour doesn't seem like very long so make your resy for around 8:45 and be ready spaghetti when they call your name 5-15 min later. DO NOT TRY TO BE CUTE AND WALK IN, YOU WILL NOT PARTICIPATE IN HAPPY HOUR. The pizzas and drinks are half off! An amazing deal. Please get the charred cabbage. You will thank me! The dressing, The duck, The crispy skin--Oh my! Not a cheap dish, $20 for a small portion but well worth it. The magic in the pizzas is definitely in the crust. I have no idea what they're putting in it, but it can't be legal. A slight sweetness--chewy but tender, not tough! The pizzas are big enough for 2 people to split. The Lambrusco spritz was a little smaller than I had hoped, but for $7 during HH, I shut my mouth! Our waitress was nice, very cool and well versed of how Ms. Cannonball and her team run. Per her offering, we began the evening with a nice complimentary pour of delicious rosé. Finished the evening with the honey cake which is a must get! Pretty small portion there too...definitely could've had my own, but I have a 2 piece to wear in 2 weeks, so whatevs. Even though I'm 4 hours away, yours truly will be a regular!

Love this little spot! So grateful for complimentary valet in Montrose. The space is comfy and casual but still elevated to make a great celebration or date night spot. Service is great, they give you a sample of an Italian sparkling wine to start. They have plenty of fun cocktails and wines to choose from. The charred cabbage was fantastic- love the duck meat and crunchy bits on top, and the charred edges of the leaves were so flavorful. Lamb ragu was very indulgent but would definitely get again- so flavorful and savory, the sauce was creamy, and i could tackle a whole bowl myself. The pizza options are also fun! The spinach and artichoke dip pizza really did taste like it had the dip on the top. The crust is more of the soft and fluffy variety rather than the crisp type you find at other places. I still enjoyed immensely! The dessert menu is worth perusing. The fig and pistachio clafoutis was so delish, it had savory aspects to it and texture was very unique, like a cake with more body. The crème fraiche gelato wasn't too sweet and paired perfectly! Deserving of the Michelin guide designation for sure! Can't wait to come back and try more things!!

One of the most memorable and delicious dining experiences I've had in Houston. Ambiance is absolutely incredible, lively yet elegantly dim. Servers are so kind with great recommendations and attention to detail. Food is out of this world, every single dish wowed me. I simply can't say enough good things! Focaccia - a crispy flatbread with honey drizzled on top and stuffed with cheese and arugula. A pleasant surprise in texture and flavor that left me wanting more! Charred cabbage - might have been my favorite dish of the whole night, surprisingly. Who knew cabbage could be so amazing? The smoky charred flavor paired with the anchovy sauce and crispy duck skin made every bite literally magnetic, I found myself going bite for bite until the dish was clean. Pork chop - the beauty of this dish was in completing each bite with the bed of black eyed peas and the salsa verde. The pork was thick and tender, the beans were soft and flavorful, and the salsa was a tangy kick. Even though we were already so full, we couldn't help ourselves from wasting a crumb of this. Lamb ragu - rich and gamey, with a tiny kick of spice and a tangy yogurt sauce on top. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the dish was the perfect size to finish off our meal. Another unique standout! Pear tartine - one of the best desserts I've had. This pear reduction on top of a shortbread cookie, paired with a salted caramel gelato, sent my mouth to heaven. Very important to get some of the gelato in each bite! I was so glad I tried this instead of the honey cake (although I'll have to try the cake next time!). Rosie Cannonball will live in my memory was one of the best meals I've had, and I can't wait to come back again to continue trying their exciting and delicious menu!

Rosie is EXACTLY who she thinks she is!!!! 20/10 experience and I don't rate that lightly. De'azia made our experience even better if that was even possible. Vibe is incredible. Music taste was great, not too loud but perfect accent Food was outstanding. I'll be back -- that happy hour is unheard of -- knocked it out the park

I have been to Rosie several times and nothing has ever disappointed! The waiters are friendly and give great recs. They start you with a little complimentary Rose aperitif which is awesome. Everything on the menu is delicious - my favorite app has been the charred salad. It has a perfect grilled taste and so flavorful with the duck confit. Sharing a Cacio e Pepe pizza is a must!!! One of the best things I've ever had. The grilled shrimp are amazing and I love the bollonagse. The desserts are also great - must get the honey cake. Espresso martinis are really good and half off booze after 9pm! Pizza is also half off after 9pm. One of my favorite spots in Houston. Inside is so cute and intimate (can be loud) and the patio is very nice as well

If I could eat here for the first time again I would. They have earned their Michelin guide recommendation for sure. Upon arrival we were sat promptly and provided a tasting of their Lambrusco. The feel of the restaurant is intimate and homey- making for a great date night. We ordered the Montrose Mami and Negroni cocktails. Both well balanced and delicious. We shared the grilled shrimp with garlic focaccia, the charred cabbage with duck confit, and Rosie's supreme pizza. Every single dish was amazing. The shrimp was served with a butter that was buttery and complimented the focaccia well. The cabbage had a creamy anchovy dressing that was surprisingly good. The pizza dough was fresh, not too thin or cheesy, and a great serving of fennel sausage. Our server was attentive and gave background on the restaurant and their house made items. As we were celebrating a birthday, the staff provided my friend a birthday card and dessert to go- a thoughtful gesture. I can't wait to dine here again.

Ask the Community - Rosie Cannonball

Do they have gluten free pizza or pasta?

I did not see this option. Phone them and ask.

    Is there a brunch menu?

Nope, just a lunch menu. They are open for lunch on Saturday starting at 11:30 but they are only open for dinner on Sunday.

Is it by reservation or can you walk in for a table or sit at the bar?

I recommend making a reservation but you can walk in and sit at a high top table or at the bar.

Do they have a dress code?

I don't think there is an official dress code but because of the ambiance, I would recommend semi casual/semi dress.

Has the menu changed during the pandemic?

Does this place have outdoor seating?

    Yes, the have outdoor seating.

    Are there gluten-free options?

I went with a friend last weekend who is dairy and gluten free and they were able to make some changes to dishes to accommodate her no problem.

What is green sauce on fennel pizza?

I can't remember exactly, but the base is broccoli-something! (Broccolini, broccoli rabe--not sure which one) It definitely tastes more bitter than a basil pesto.

Is this the most overrated restaurant in Houston?…read more After being on my "To Try" list for an unacceptable amount of time, I finally made my way over to Nancy's Hustle. I was lucky enough to snag a seat at the bar with no reservation. I arrived about 30 minutes into open and there was already a wait list. I suggest getting there early or making a reservation if you're not a solo diner. The interior is nice and intimate, with low lighting that doesn't work well for photos but definitely for a cozy dinner. The set up and music reminded me a little bit of 93 Til due to the decor. I started with the duck dumplings and the Nancy cakes. I wasn't expecting it but they offer half orders which is great for a solo diner who wants to try multiple things. Both items were delicious. The dumplings had a nice savory sauce with some texture from the peanuts. These were great but probably my bottom of the list which is saying something. I would only say this because they reminded me a lot of the hot oil wontons from duck and bao so at that price point, you might as well get more. The Nancy cakes were pillowy and savory and made a great vessel for honey butter and roe. I even used a bit to dunk into the leftover dumpling sauce. I suggest eating these as soon as they hit your table. I was trying to savor my bites but the cakes benefit a lot from being nice and hot. It's not the most ground breaking dish in the world but it's done well and I would definitely call it a must order. I could have eating a full order of it alone. My main dishes is where my mind was blown. I went with the roast chicken and half order of the gem lettuce salad and fries. This might be the best roast chicken I've ever had in Houston. Chicken can be a hit or a miss because sometimes, there just isn't much flavor. This was absolutely not the case here. The chicken was juicy and seasoned to the core. It even heated up well as left overs without being dry. The chili sauce on the bottom was flavor intensified and as I swiped my chicken through the pools of sauce, I thought to myself "overrated where?!". The gem salad caught me by surprise. I'm not one to stay away from a salad at a restaurant because they typically do them better than you can make at home . Nancy's Hustle solidified this opinion. The salad was wonderfully briney and savory. The lettuce was crisp and covered in the herby shallot dressing that grabbed my taste buds. Topped with anchovies and pancetta for a nice salty touch. So so good. The fries were the perfect side, crisp and not too potatoey (yes this is a thing). I traded in the aoli for some ketchup because that's just my thing. I concluded this wonderful dining experience with a dessert. Buttermilk ice cream with cornflakes, black berries and honey butter cookie. This dessert was a lesson in balance. Every component was present , sweet, salty, crunchy, cool. Each bite had something new to offer and combined into a perfectly executed dessert. As a cocktail, I tried their tropical drink. I don't remember what it was called but I know I could have drank about 7 of those. This was a great dining experience. I think when things get popular, sometimes we feel the need to be contrarians with our experiences. That wasn't the case for me. Nancy's Hustle has earned its popularity and I'll definitely be back

We arrived before 6:30pm which meant we were able to order from the HH menu. I had a signature cocktail called So Fresh So Clean (love the Outkast reference). This cucumber based cocktail was very refreshing! I also had a Clover Club which I enjoyed (I love the egg white)! Fried Deviled Egg - I opted to add caviar for an additional $8. It was good, but I just really prefer traditional deviled eggs without breading on them. Market Fish - Absolutely delicious! The fish was tender and flaky, seasoned well, and the tomato bacon broth was soooo good! My only complaint was the small portion. Bees Knees - Delicious! Caviar Tots - Compliments of Chef, Ryan (thank you)! 2nd Visit: I came back for dinner. Our server was Chris and he was really nice. We ordered a bunch of items for the table to share. Drinks: I did a So Fresh So Clean because I'm predictable and I loved it the first time. I also had a Negroni and it was really good. Butter Burgers: It normally comes with two, but Chris was nice and brought out a 3rd burger so that we could each have one. I enjoyed the French onion flavor in the beef, but the burger was too buttery for my taste. Crispy Potatoes - Very good with great flavor. Mushroom Empanada - I didn't try any, but my friends enjoyed them. Hanger Steak - It took 40 minutes for the steak to be brought out and unfortunately, one steak was overcooked while the other was undercooked. I tried a bite of the overcooked steak and the flavor was there. The steak was tender enough for my preference. Market Fish - Red Snapper. It was a larger portion, but the flavor wasn't as good as the first time. Additionally, my fish came out about 10 minutes before the steak and it got cold because I was waiting on the steak to be brought out. 3/6/26-Michelin Man? More like Michelin...maaaaaaan…read more.. In good Mel and the Doctor fashion, a rough week equates to "let's go have a great night." We get dressed up and venture to Le Jardinier. While we were super excited and ready for a great Friday evening, we checked in with an unwelcoming hostess. Mind you, this is our first impression since we have never been to any of the locations. He asked the hostess if we would be seated close or after our reservation time (that would determine if we would have a drink at the bar), we received a condescending toned response of "you can have a seat and I will work on getting a status update on that." Duly noted. A few minutes later we were told we could go to the bar to only then be escorted to the table. So we will look past that "weirdness" of initial service and get ready for a stiff drink...the bartenders know what they are doing! Martinis were the name of the game and they were perfect. Just perfect. The prefixe and wine pairing was the game plan. But before the fun stuff, came the bread service. Bread was more than bread, it was warm savory pillows with the perfect butter. Made a crumbly mess while tearing up the bread basket, expected table crumbler service, after, nothing. For Michelin, we expected the fine dining cleaning in between each course. The service was odd, and the servers seemed cold. The kanpachi and the scallop of the prefixe were Michelin. Overall, we might give it another shot, maybe it was a bad day...but still grateful to get in last minute due to rodeo season. Let me know your experience!

All of the drinks were delicious and served at great temperatures (hot and cold, depending). The food was also delicious and the perfect portions for the occasion. At times, it was hard to get in touch with our waiter and service was a bit slow, but overall a good experience and I would go again for afternoon tea.

After entering, you are immediately greeted like family in a relaxing environment but with top notch food. It was my friend's bday so we celebrated with complimentary bubbles which was a nice touch. We enjoyed a large portion of their limited/rotating menu that did not disappoint. The tuna was my favorite. 10/10. A very extensive, higher end wine list complemented the meal nicely. Definitely need reservations -- book as early as possible. Seating is very limited especially for larger parties. Parking --- street parking around the block. Wasn't too difficult. Definitely a must try!

We made reservations several days in advance and still were only able to get patio seats. The vibe of the place is so Houston. It's a really nice restaurant - inside is small and cozy, decorated beautifully. The patio only has 2 tables but it's elegant. And it looks out at the highway, billboards, downtown, and abandoned homeless encampments. During dinner, we had a bachelorette party bus park beside us and a couple shirtless guys come up from the bayou with fishing poles. But it works - that's Houston! Food itself was good, but not great. I'll give it 5/5 stars for originality - each dish was unlike anything I've had elsewhere. - ratatouille- 4/5 - it was interesting, and mostly loved that it was soaking in some delicious olive oil. - broth- 4/5 - a nice little spicy kick, but otherwise was just okay - Tuna sashimi - 5/5 - fish was fresh and tasty! Appreciated the crunch between the layers of tuna. - French cheese pancake - 4/5 - generally can't go wrong with bread and cheese. It's interesting, and I liked the green onions topping it. - Fried shrimp and shiso- 4/5 - didn't love the sauce this came with, but otherwise this almost tasted like a jalapeno popper with shrimp. - snapper - 3/5 - poached, and pretty bland. Came with a very fishy seaweed reduction on the side. - potatoes side - 2/5 - don't get these unless you're looking for just boiled potatoes. They're pretty flavorless. Overall, interesting food for a one time visit, but unlikely a place we'll return to.

He was full of energy and very knowledgeable. He gave us details of every dish and has his own recommendations. Hands down the best service I have ever witnessed and received in Houston. Mezcal old Fashion: 7/10.. balanced and a bit flavorless. Kind of hard to explain. Lobster & clam pasta: 10/10.. wonderfully seasoned and the best thing I ate regarding a seafood style pasta. The clams were not that good but the lobster itself was perfectly seasoned. Dragon fruit Gin & Tonic: 10/10.. a must try. I never drank gin before and glad this was my introduction. Crispy phillo dough: 10/10.. you must get this as a desert. Perfectly buttery, flakey and the vanilla bean ice cream inside is just chefs kiss. I can eat 30 of these things honestly.
