My go-to pizza delivery spot! Consistently good and a great value! We are obsessed with their Sicilian slice. Their plain slice is very old school NY style and does not disappoint. Spaghetti and meatballs are great too and a HUGE portion - can split with 2-3 people or have leftovers! They have a nice basic salad, ham roll, pepperoni roll. Oh yeah, zeppoles too for dessert! The only thing we haven't loved was the chicken parm - wasn't terrible just not my fav. Overall this place is a solid choice for pizza in the area. Check them out! I've only had Triangolo for delivery so I can't comment on the inside, but I think it's just a small to-go spot with maybe a few seats. read more

This is really good authentic New York pizza that is sold by the slice. I bought the grandma's and sicilian for $8. I went later in the evening so the pies weren't the freshest but they were fine after being heated up. The slices are big and I couldn't eat both in one sitting. The grandma's was a little bland but the sicilian was excellent. The garlic knots and the zeppolles looked really good. I definitely will return for the Sicilian. read more

The pizza here is pretty mediocre - so I was going to give it 3 stars, but at the same time I come here frequently, so it can't be that bad. It's decent pizza. Is it 'the best pizza in NY?" No. But, if you're hangry and/or craving pizza, this will do. It's very much a fast casual place (not a restaurant). There's a few tables, so if want to get a quick slice during the day, that's a nice option. They have a decent selection of pizza - standard options. A few times the slices have been kinda dough-y. First and last time ordering. Not only is their recent rating pretty gross (evidence of rodents, etc), but this is definitely one of the worst pizzas I have ever had. The dough definitely needs some work as does the preparation of the pizza. I ordered a half cheese and half 'supremesque'/'the works' pie, (included broccoli, pepperoni, sausage, olives, mushrooms, etc.) They do not have a 'supreme' like pizza, so all toppings needed be selected individually, which of course made the pizza ridiculously expensive. Lately everyone prepares their pizzas so thinly that it doesn't stand a chance against toppings or condensation when it comes to delivery or even when dining in. I called ahead to even request that they prepare the pizza a bit thicker in anticipation that it would arrive wilted. It definitely does not pass the fold or taste test. If you take a look at the photos, you can see that not only are the slices insanely thin, but in the case of the supreme side, the toppings were places on the pizza so weirdly. It is almost like they put all the vegetables and meat on first, forgetting about the cheese entirely and as an afterthought/quick save, dumped the cheese on top to keep the toppings together? That clearly doesn't work and because the slice is so unsubstantial in thickness, it crumbled under the weight of the toppings and everything just slid off. It was a mess. I ventured into Triangolo pizza after a day of walking the Greenpoint area. I was greeted warmly and the counter guy was very friendly. I ordered a simple cheese pizza to go (of course with the corona scare) and went on my way. It was a good pizza with good flavor and crust. You can't ask more than that here in NY. For $16 I was happy. The only GREAT pizza is in San Diego but that's a whole different story . The restaurant was clean and had several different pizzas and such ready to go by the slice. I was hitting a Metal show at the nearby St. Vitus Bar for the band Into Eternity and after catching up with the group for a little while on their RV, the need for something to eat took over me. I was told that the band had eaten earlier in the day so I was on my own in the quest. I asked one of their ardent fans to join me so they could all decompress a little more before the show and down Manhattan Avenue we wandered. On the corner of Green St. we spotted Triangolo Pizza and ventured inside. It sure smelled nice and that is always a good sign in a pizzeria. Their Sicilian pie looked nice as did the conventional round pie so I ordered a square corner and a slice to get an idea of how they each were. To put it simple, they were both very tasty. Adding a small drink to the mix ran me just over five bucks and my two companions also seemed to enjoy theirs. As we chatted in the seated area I mused aloud at how most of the band had never tried NYC pizza before even though some of their number had been to this part of the world a few times (they are from Canada), it was still a mystery treat to their palates. With that being the case, the plan to bring them back a pie to the RV was in motion. They were pleasantly surprised when we returned with it and three members immediately indulged and confirmed our own pleasure at the skills of the establishment. So kudos to Triangolo Pizza for not only impressing some well versed in pizza NY natives but also for making a bands visit to our neck of the woods more memorable. Give this place a shot if you happen to be in Greenpoint for Saint Vitus Bar, or perhaps a mission impossible visit to The Thing. read more

Yo, this place is my JAM. I'm in Greenpoint about once a week so I stop in here a couple times a month. Never fails. This is how I picture the old school pizza joints to be like: Quick service. DELICIOUS slices of pie. Cheap prices. Best of all, no forced chit-chat making me feel awkward af. And yes, the guy I always see working has a strong, native New Yorker accent! I'm not sure if the fact that I was super hungry had anything to do with it, but my slice was absolutely delicious. The perfect combination of sauce, cheese with a crispy bottom and just enough crust. I also tried the ziti chicken cutlet parmigiana and it was just as tasty. This is the best, and only, real deal "yo lemme get a slice" old skool inexpensive New York Pizza joint in Greenpoint. Everything is made fresh here and it shows. The owner can seem a bit gruff to the folks who've arrived here from Milwaukee but his love for Italian American food shines through. Keep it simple at these New York Pizza places. Skip the decidedly "non-artisan" toppings and just order a plain Cheese Pie or a Grandma, (thin crust, sicilian) and you will not be disappointed. Meatball heros here are solid and their Baked Ziti and Eggplant Parm, baked with mozzarella crisped on top, are also outstanding, dirt cheap and big enough to share. You can always tell how a pizza place is based on how good their plain slice is & theirs is fantastic because it's thin, crisp, & has the perfect ratio of sauce, cheese, & seasonings. I also had a white slice & it was also sublime. I read that their pepperoni pinwheels are really delicious so next time I will definitely be sure to grab one of those as well. I was in from out of town staying in Greenpoint for a few days, and this was exactly what I was looking for. No muss, no fuss. You walk in, tell the guy behind the counter you want two regular slices, he asks you "you stayin' or goin'?" then asks you if you want anything to drink, and you're done. No excess conversation one way or the other - you're just there to conduct business and get your delicious pizza. The pizza is awesome and really authentic. Plus, the garlic knots are great, too. I usually kind of avoid those in a place like this because they're usually kind of underwhelming, but I took a chance because of all the positive reviews, and they were spot on . The ones at Triangolo are delicious. Also, one of my requirements for a pizza place is that they have a 25-year old picture of the owner with Steven Seagal, so I was lucky to find this place. read more

Pizza here is awesome. I ordered a 2 cheese slices. One for now and another for later. The tomato sauce they use has somthing in it that really sets it apart from other pizzarias. I usually hate cold pizza but after i ate the first one i had to let the 2nd one sit in the box. After an hourbor so, i was able to eat the 2nd slice (dont judge me) the dough was still nice soft and fluffy! I was so confused, usually cold pizza tends to harden up the crust and everything. My go-to spot for pizza when I'm in greenpoint. I walk dogs in greenpoint so I frequent this place often. Whether it's for slices, chicken rolls, or squares they are always super tasty. I'm especially fond of their squares. Some of the best I've ever had. I've ordered pies from them a few times, and I guess my only complaint is that they don't have bleu cheese. My friends and I are weird and love dipping our pizza in se bleu cheese and I ask every time I'm hopes that they will have some and the girl always says no like I'm a weirdo! If your looking for overpriced basic pizza then you found it. I recently came here to grab a quick bit to eat with a friend and had a horrific experience. We ordered two slices a piece, 2 waters, and a spinach roll and it came out to 32 dollars. After all that the service was just disrespectful. The older guy in the front that pretends to be Italian doesn't know basic math. He overcharged us and then argued when we addressed the situation. The only reason I am not giving Triangolo Pizza 5 stars is because of one guy that works there. Let me begin by saying I have never had a bad slice or a bad garlic knot at Triangolo. Plain, white, grandma, sicilian, all great and not too greasy. The service is fast and friendly (except for said guy, I will explain in a bit.) Seating is always available and the tables are always clean. A few skinny hipsters might come and go but thankfully I have never had a negative run in with any. So this one guy who works here really blows. My friend ordered 2 slices a few nights ago and we were sitting down eating our delicious pizza when all of sudden he starts yelling at my friend. We were really confused because we are two young, attractive and totally non-threatening females. The guy comes over and BARKS at my friend, "YOU ONLY PAID FOR ONE PIZZA, GIVE ME THAT SLICE!" and actually reached for her slice of pizza. Thankfully her quick handed boyfriend slapped his hand away from her steaming hot slice of delicious before he had time to TAKE HER DINNER AWAY FROM HER. Good pizza at decent prices. I couldn't choose between the standard pepperoni and cheese or the spinach and ricotta, so I got a slice of each. The spinach slice was very good and I could see being easily satisfied by it if I were a vegetarian still. The crust was a bit crispy and stiff, the mozzarella chewy, the ricotta smooth and creamy, and the spinach was cooked well with onions and garlic. This is a really good combination. As I sit here eating an inferior slice of pizza from somewhere else, I feel encouraged to write a stellar review about Triangolo. I moved into the neighborhood several months ago with my boyfriend. At first, we laughed about Triangolo being a latino derivative of "pizza," because this one area of Greenpoint is very latino in its food and culture. After making several last minute dinner trips for a couple of slices, I can say with little doubt that Triangolo pizza is legit. It's just tasty...and surprisingly so. What happened to the older pizza man that used to work there years ago? He was the best--friendly, helpful, funny, and more. Once, I was making pizza at home and bought raw dough from him. Instead of just selling dough to me he asked when I was planning on baking so he could grab a roll that that rested for enough time. So awesome. Sadly, that guy's been replaced with an jerk. This pizza place used to be my neighborhood spot. Whenever anyone wanted pizza, I would hope to go here rather than the gourmet places that have opened nearby; however, due to bizarrely unfriendly service, I don't think I will ever go back. I just wanted to grab a quick slice but the pizza man with grey hair immediately gave me a terrible look and basically mock me. At one point he aggressively tried to get me to smile at him. So creepy. While ordering fountain soda, my boyfriend and I took 4 seconds to look at the options before deciding. This prompted our guy to give us a hard time for holding up the invisible line forming behind us. I've heard very similar stories from other asian women who've visited--making my experience ever grosser. Honestly, if you're looking for a standard Brooklyn pizza place, look elsewhere. Hey, would you look at that, it's a pizza restaurant! A dime a dozen in New York! So how do you get a rating that's above A-OK, also known as 3 stars? It comes down to a couple things, the price. If the price is low there is a higher allowance and sacrifice in quality to achieve such means. The price here? Average, so it stays average. Next is of course, the taste; the mouth feels; the in yo mouth experience. How do cheap places do in this regard? Often times you answer not that great, but you can often buy 2 slices for the price of an average one. So you replace the quality for quantity. Quality of this joint? The same as the average mom and pop shop. Which is admittedly pretty good; but is often not fantastic or unique. That my friends is the struggle of a pizza joint. It's tough to be awesome in this. Once again though! I'm not saying it's bad, I just don't think it's great. Still stop by here maybe once a month, but I can stop by most other places and be just as satisfied.
