Great for groups and date night! Loved the decor, the portions were perfect, and the staff was super friendly and attentive.

Celebrated my sister-in-law's birthday at Rossoblu and honestly, it was perfect. Started with focaccia and Caesar salad, then went in on the hanger steak, braised short rib ravioli, tagliatelle al mattarello, and lasagna al forno-every single dish was fire. The drinks were next level. Their mixology is unmatched. They brought out a cute dessert for the birthday girl, which was such a nice touch. We also tried the tiramisu and got an affogato. Ambiance is dim, classy, and perfect for a celebration. Our server Cesar was the best- super attentive, funny, and just a great vibe overall. Plus, free street parking or valet if you want.

I loved this place! The food was great, the dark lighting gave a great date night vibe, and our server was attentive. I would go back if I am ever back in LA

Went for the DineLA dinner menu, and it was a great experience. It was a Thursday evening, and it was pretty easy to make an online reservation. The space itself is really nice -- lots of outdoor patio seating with a high-ceiling industrial indoor space with open kitchen. The bar is in the front, and they have some nice cocktail and wine options. There were a good number of people there, but there were still plenty of open tables. It was nice to see a restaurant that had a good vibe and plenty of people watching, but not so crowded that there's a long wait or you feel cramped. The restaurant is in a bit of a random spot in downtown, near the flower district and south of skidrow. If you're coming from the main part of Downtown, you may want to consider not driving through skidrow if it's in the evening. Once you do get there, there's plenty of street parking right in front as well as a valet option. The DineLA menu was 3 courses (appetizer, main, and dessert) for $55. I ordered the beef tartare, petit filet, and meyer lemon cream olive oil cake. My buddy ordered the hamachi crudo, the petit filet, and the hazelnut chocolate ganache. All of the food was really good with decent portions. We also ordered a few cocktails. I had the "oro" off the cocktail menu, which was a bourbon based cocktail. Evan Williams is the well bourbon, so I upgraded to Buffalo Trace. It was only a $2 upcharge, which I think was totally worth it. I also ordered a whiskey sour, and they make a proper one with the egg white foam and bitters, served up. The cocktails were excellent, and i can see that the bartenders know what they're doing. This is a great date spot or a small dinner party. I'd say a group of 4 to 6 would be great so that you can order a bunch of things and share. I'll certainly be back again.

Located in Los Angeles' vibrant Arts District near City Market South, Rossoblu is an acclaimed Italian restaurant celebrated for its authentic cuisine inspired by Bologna, Italy. The menu showcases exceptional handmade pastas, house-made salumi, and seasonal ingredients sourced from local markets. One of Rossoblu's greatest strengths is its ever-evolving menu, which changes with the seasons and makes each visit a fresh and memorable experience.

We came here for the Dine LA menu and overall really enjoyed it. The food was good and the ambience was great We both got the beef tartare (a little on the salty side but overall very tasty), I got the grilled bass as my main (very delicious and loved the grilled cauliflower) and for my dessert I got the hazelnut mousse. A little too sweet and heavy for me but delicious. My friend got the filet mignon for her main. Unfortunately she said it was too salty for her. For dessert she got the olive oil cake which she enjoyed. We also got the fries to share since it seemed so popular. Almost all the tables nearby had a platter of fries. This was so good. Perfectly fried and crispy on the outside but soft on the inside.

5-Star Experience -- Excellent Food, Gracious Service, and Thoughtful Details Date & Time of Visit: 11/23/2025 @ 5:30 PM Came here with my family on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. This was my third visit over the span of six years--my previous two visits were in December. This time around, the restaurant was noticeably quiet, unlike my earlier visits when it was bustling. I sincerely hope they stay in business. This visit was to celebrate my sister's birthday, and everything we ordered was excellent. DRINKS My glass of Chardonnay was only $12, which is a great price for a fine-dining restaurant in Los Angeles. My sister ordered a non-alcoholic cocktail--the Prickly Pear Margarita (very L.A., haha!)--and she absolutely loved it. FOOD Everything we ordered was delicious--including the Broccolini. Honestly, if a restaurant can make broccolini taste that good, that already says a lot. STARTERS * Rosemary Focaccia (baked in-house, served with date-brown butter, fava e cicoria, and mortadella mousse) * Seafood Fritto Misto SIDE * Broccolini with Calabrian chili butter and herbs MAIN COURSES * Braised Beef Ravioli (my niece and I both ordered this--excellent) * Hanger Steak with cauliflower mash, kale, red wine veal jus, and anchovy butter DESSERTS Affogatos all around! They also surprised my sister with a complimentary birthday dessert--a delicious Gelato. Not many restaurants do that anymore, so it was a very thoughtful touch. RESTROOMS The ladies' room was clean, and I appreciated that the hand-washing sink is located outside the restroom--an extra hygienic setup if you just want to wash your hands without entering the restroom itself. SERVICE Excellent--courteous, professional, and attentive throughout the evening. PARKING Valet available.

Always a great spot for a great meal. The service is excellent, the menu is inviting and the overall experience great. We stuck to pasta on this visit with the bolognese and risotto being our two top favorites. We had to order the fries after the LA Times reported they were the best in the city. They were good but maybe not the hype. We enjoyed dessert but they were so good I forgot to take pictures. It's a definite return when I am back n DTLA.

Hadn't been here in many years and still excellent. Pork chop was one of the best I've had as well as the broccolini and French fries. Love the ambiance- open air kitchen and dining room.

This is my second time reviewing Rossoblu and second time giving it 5 stars. I had colleagues in town who asked me to pick something in DTLA, and I haven't been to Rossoblu in years. I am so glad I chose it! I've often sat outside but we sat inside for this dinner and it does get a bit loud once the tables are all full. But it's a beautiful restaurant! They hand roll pasta daily and it's just so good. We ordered quite a bit... The foccacia was tasty and served with a few types of butter (be careful as one isn't vegetarian). They loved the meatballs. The Valbruna's eggplant is out of this world. And I don't love eggplant. But I remembered eating and loving this dish years ago and happy to say it's just as good today. The stracciatella and fall fruit was perfection...I am obsessed with persimmon! We had the tortelloni (my fave!), the gnocchi (great if you love gnocchi...the way it sticks to the roof of my mouth makes me not a gnocchi fan in general!), and the seasonal pasta special (butternut squash caramelle) was delicious and not too sweet. Someone had the lasagna which they deemed exquisite. We had a few orders of the Apennine fries...yum! We ended with three flavours of gelato and the persimmon flan (which oddly didn't taste of persimmon but rather tasted like normal flan?) I will definitely be back. Service was a little slow, and they forgot to put in two of our orders, and brought us two things we didn't order (which we were then given and fine with), so not sure if our server was simply overwhelmed as it was a busy night, or perhaps he's new? But even that couldn't downgrade my star rating from a 5! Can't wait to come again.

    MEATBALLS

I really wanted to love this place but I was disappointed. Decided to have a girls night at this restaurant on a random Thursday. The service was OK, nothing spectacular. I really enjoyed the meatballs and the affogato, but the lasagna was extremely disappointing. I couldn't even finish eating it. The drink menu also lacked variety, so we stuck with water. I'd say this place is worth a try but there's a lot of good little gems DTLA. I wouldn't personally go back.

This was a fantastic meal. We were in the area for a concert at the Shrine and decided to book a reservation. The service was top notch--very attentive and always checking in on us. The restaurant itself was absolutely stunning--beautiful wall murals, intimate lighting--the perfect date night. It is located in the fashion district along an indistinct street, but once you enter the courtyard, it's lovely. It shares the courtyard with a couple other nice restaurants. You can street park, but we opted for valet for $15. They take credit card. The food was to die for. We started with two cocktails, the Oro and the B-Dolce--amazing!!! Super balanced. We shared the all the dishes family style. We started with the In Brodo (Parmesan dumplings in a chicken broth). So yummy and light. We then ordered their butternut squash raviolis with mushrooms (seasonal). Perfectly done and not too sweet. For our main bite, we shared the 8 oz filet and the side of Appenine Fries. Best fries ever!!!! The steak was superb. The only thing I would have loved was some flakey sea salt on top. For dessert, we got complementary vanilla gelato with balsamic drizzle. Amazing flavor!!! We also ordered the chocolate budino tart and the affogato. The star of the budino was the merengue on top. Overall, absolutely lovely dinner and we can't wait to go back and bring friends.

Hit the 3 important criteria - well prepared food, good service and nice vibes. And I happen to like chicken liver, so very much enjoyed that dish! Will return.

We normally are not open for breakfast or lunch but have been serving brunch from 11am - 2:30pm on Sundays this summer. This has been a summer pop-up for us so we are not sure if we will continue in the fall. Please check our website or Open Table… Read more

Is it dog friendly (obviously for outdoor seating)?? thanks!

Hi Helen! Yes, we can seat dogs outside on our mezzanine or in the garden. Hope to see you soon!

    Does it get loud?

Hello, thanks for reaching out! On our busiest nights, especially in the dining room it can get moderately loud. The patio and garden areas are always comfortably quiet. If you’re looking for a quiet dinner inside, try booking before 6pm on a… Read more

    Bar seating for solo diners?

Yes, smallish bar, seats for ~8 people.

How is parking? Thank you for the quick responses!

They have a valet. Considering the area, use the valet.

Do you plan on opening for brunch soon?

Yeah, I plan to open my own restaurant someday...

What is the cake cutting fee?

We charge $10 for the cake. During the height of the pandemic, it was strongly discouraged to bring "outside food" into restaurants. Please let us know if you plan to bring outside food to our restaurant. Thank you, Hans

I don't believe it has a formal dress code, but the ambiance does lean toward dress casual, rather than flip flops and a t-shirt. ;D

Do they generally have a few vegan items? And/or are they cool with modifying dishes to make them vegan?

Yes. They have good salad options, grilled vegies, pasta, gnocchi. They also are very accommodating to substitute ingredients.

In the same vein, we stuck with a similar style of food and ended up at Propaganda. There was little to no wait, which was pleasant. It was a nice day and we decided to eat outside. The focaccia bread and salad came out first, and both were good. I enjoyed the crispiness of the bread, though my only qualms were that the bread was quite oily and the butter and salt were just a tad bit too salty for my liking. The Insalata Mista salad was solid. Good flavor, good dressing-to-salad ratio, and a surprisingly good portion size. As far as pizza goes, the Margherita was good. Tasty, moist, and a nice crunch on the crust. I found it to be enjoyable, though I may have enjoyed more fresh basil on this. I did find it better than the Boscaiola. I got the black truffle honey add on, and it does not go well on this pizza in my opinion. There was virtually no taste of truffle to me, and more of just an aftertaste of oily sweet honey. This was a miss. It's hard to say whether the base pizza was good without it because the flavor profile was just too overpowered by the aftertaste. The Arts District is definitely coming up with new upscale dining establishments, and I'm there for it. I think this is a solid addition. Though this is a wine bar, I don't generally drink, so my review is based purely on the food. Results of their drinks, which is quite an extensive list, may be to your liking! Glassell Park is a hidden neighborhood in Los Angeles, anyway, and if you don't know what you are looking for, you might zip right past W&S, as we did. Parking is hit and miss, but there are side streets and you will find a space if you give yourself an extra 15 minutes before you come. The neighborhood is mysterious to me, sort of pricey grunge & hipster, iykwim. But! Once you are inside, you are in a completely different world. Bright, clean, genteel, muted, with dappled sunlight dripping through various apertures and alighting in a soft glow here and there on shining metal tables. It's beautiful. Some catchy upbeat contempo-pop music streamed steadily at just the right volume overhead. I found myself resisting the temptation to get up and dance. There are several rooms from which to choose, but I wanted to be seated on the wine-red suede banquette that gave me a view of the whole restaurant and out onto the tree-canopied street. From the time we arrived to the moment we left about an hour later, we were showered with warm smiles and attentive service. And the food? Exquisite. See my pictures. It was hard to choose. One tiny disappointment was they were out of the biscuits that I wanted to start with, but I enjoyed the crusty tender Clark Street bread slices served with warm creamery butter instead. It only got better from there. The two bowls we ordered were filled with fresh vegetables, cooked to perfection, topped with an egg prepared as we requested, i.e., over medium. The portions are modest and it was all so good, we didn't take anything home. We ordered coffee and were brought two tall steaming mugs of Americano, smooth, dark, and delicious. Best of all was the Lemon Lavender cake, a seasonal specialty. Honestly, it might be one of the best, moistest, most flavorful and elegant cakes I have ever had. So fantastic, that I just ordered some lavender buds (if I don't collect them from our garden) to replicate it at home. I don't drink much alcohol but if I did, I would head here for one of their experiences or tastings -- they have a formidable list. Check all this out. And hurry if you want to have Lemon Lavender cake.

Everyone also didn't feel particularly welcoming, from the hostess to the waitress (no smiles). Thankfully, we were seated outside for some fresh air, although the warm murky smell still lingered a bit outdoors. The menu seem fairly limited since nothing really stood out to me as especially exciting. I've studied the menu prior before going, and was only looking forward to their burger, but they didn't have it during dinner apparently. While the dishes were descripted very well on the menu, there was no depth in flavors. I'm talking about the pork belly, lamb chops, tartare, Spanish octopus, and especially the seasonal pasta. I'm happy that it wasn't overly salty, but overall the food tasted mediocre and felt a bit basic. I'm only saying this because I could make it myself, at least the lamb, fatty pork belly, and pasta. Portions were also on the small side. Service was a bit slower as it took some time to get seated and receive our food, and one of our dishes was forgotten until we reminded the staff after already finishing most of the meal. On the positive side, we were able to find easy street parking about a block away, and the restaurant itself has a cozy ambiance that would probably be great for a chill dinner with some wine. However, my group left still feeling very hungry and unsatisfied. To be fair, we came in hungry, and the portions and long wait didn't help.

The hosts are v familiar with their wines and can give you recommendations on what to get. You can even have tasters so you're not stuck getting a pour of something you don't like.. it's a beautiful spot lots of dark wood. Would be a great date spot. Oh they have lots of cool things to nibble on definitely the largest tinned fish selection of any bar in the downtown area. They have bread with European butter. Coming back for sure.

Ambiance here is very chill, relaxing vibes, dimmed lights, and cute tables with seating indoor/outdoor. Bar seating availability as well. The bartender was super sweet and attentive towards me the whole time I was there alone. This place serves unique delicatessen bites. They specialize in "tinned fish" and various wine selections as well as beer on tap. I did not get to try out the tinned fish this time around but I went with the French onion dip and chips--so good when you are hungry! I enjoyed the French onion dip because it was so rich and tasty. The bartender suggested a red wine, called "Bruno zanasi (ita) charmat a Lambrusco red wine. So subtly sweet yet flavorful that I ended up ordering another glass. 5/5 I also ordered their baguette with butter that was warmed up nicely when it arrived at my table and I devoured the entire bread. So yeah, it was delightfully good. 5/5 They also have unique wallpapers in their restrooms which attracted me to read what people have written on behalf of the dogs included in the wallpaper (you must see it in person to know what im talking about) fun and funny words!! Such a cozy place to come and chill, enjoy bites and relax with some amazing wine. I really enjoyed my time here.

Everything is so overpriced it feels like they are intentionally letting you know you are not good enough to be one of their customers. You can get this type of food and wine at 99 other places with nicer employees, easier parking and much less attitude. The staff behaves as if this was a high school not a wine bar. Do yourself a favor and don't come here. I highly recommend the classic LA ambience at other close by establishments such as The Oaks on Bronson, the Alley in Silverlake or The Cara on Western instead. This place is like a bad Ryan Murphy series. It takes itself way too seriously. I've given them over 4 chances to change my mind since I live around the corner, and they never cease to amaze me when it comes to their entitled snotty staff & overpriced alcohol plus the parking is absolutely impossible! I even had to help customers break out of the parking lot one evening because the gate closes at a particular hour, and the restaurant doesn't even bother to tell you the gates shut at a particular time way before the restaurant closes. you're on your own, good luck getting your car out! avoid this place like the plague. I wish I could get back to $500. I've spent here over the past two years.

We tried a yellowfin tartare which was great. I got the pasta which was very good, and my wife got the salmon. Salmon was fresh and great, but the broccolini side was ridiculously salty. Service was very good, but my wife wanted the tartare as an entrée and our server, who was honestly lovely, suggested it wasn't large enough for an entrée. Problem was, it was a pretty substantial portion and my wife would have appreciated it as a main. I loved getting to share the tuna, but if she'd have just ordered that, and not added the salmon, I think we both would've appreciated the experience more. A very good wine list, with some really nice wines by the glass - You don't see that often enough - and limited, but interesting beer. Ample parking, 90 minutes free.

For the wine I had the Grenache and sparkling rose that was very good!!! My fav two selections. I highly suggest !! The service was really good and pretty fast!
