I've been wanting to go here for years. I recently heard that they are closing soon, so I had to come and check them out. I made a reservation without issue. There is valet parking, but I found some street parking. We came in. It was a little empty, but it quickly filled up. The service was good. I got the tortellini. My husband got the ravioli. Both were OK. We mostly saved them for dessert. We got a tiramisu, which was really good. The drinks were OK between this place and DAMA right across, I would choose DAMA. The ambience is fine. There's both indoor and outdoor seating.

The ambiance was pretty nice and it was bright outside with a nice courtyard. The food came out really quickly and the servers were really attentive to our table. Constantly asking us if we're doing okay and refilling our waters. The food was a bit overdid and mediocre. The Caesar salad was well dressed and had the taste of sardines in them. The braised beef ravioli was a big undercooked and was kind of cold when it got to our table. The sauce was good tho! I would saw it was a bit expensive for 6 pieces or small ravioli. The bolognese was well portioned, the noodle was really soft and the bolognese had a good amount of meat in it.

Ambiance is great. Good vibes location. Near another Michelin restaurant and a bar with a courtyard area. We sat inside and it's an elegant decorative spot with easy to talk noise levels. Really liked the bar area and bartender service. Food was really good especially the crudo, the pizza, the drinks, chicken, raviolis and pistachio ice cream. Tagliatelle was over cooked and the salad was over dressed, but flavors were good! We had a really great night there celebrating a birthday. Reasonable prices and good service. Our server was really nice and attentive. Recommend valet or uber if there.

Great for groups and date night! Loved the decor, the portions were perfect, and the staff was super friendly and attentive.

Celebrated my sister-in-law's birthday at Rossoblu and honestly, it was perfect. Started with focaccia and Caesar salad, then went in on the hanger steak, braised short rib ravioli, tagliatelle al mattarello, and lasagna al forno-every single dish was fire. The drinks were next level. Their mixology is unmatched. They brought out a cute dessert for the birthday girl, which was such a nice touch. We also tried the tiramisu and got an affogato. Ambiance is dim, classy, and perfect for a celebration. Our server Cesar was the best- super attentive, funny, and just a great vibe overall. Plus, free street parking or valet if you want.

street parking & valet available! not the best area, so park carefully. service was 10/10. our server was so kind, attentive, and pleasant :-) ambiance was vibey, they use lowlight/ambiant light so it did get a little dark inside as the sun went down. good for date night. their kitchen is open and you can see when making the food food was honestly a mixed batch in our experience. i would give it a 3.5/5 overall. for the price, i was hoping for better, but it wasn't bad. just lacking in some areas CAESAR SALAD - love the texture & the amount of dressing and bread crumbs used, the anchovy in the dressing flavor is a bit stronger to the unsuspecting though. it made it a big more fishy than we had hoped. MEATBALLS - nothing crazy but definitely good. the insides are on the drier end, but the sauce they pair with it, balances it out. the bread has a great flavor and crunchy texture. TORTELLINI - for $36, id wish the pasta was not undercooked... nearly every piece we ate was undercooked and hard, crunchy even. i love an al dente pasta, but this was undercooked. the filling and sauce were fine. TAGLIATELLE AL MATTARELLO - same concern here, for $34, the pasta was expected to be cooked well! some noodles were al dente, which was so GOOD. but having over half of the pasta be hard, undercooked noodles, it really messed with our experience :( the sauce was solid but a little on the salty end. again, love an al dente pasta, but this was straight undercooked in our experience. TIRAMISU & GELATO -great, no notes! overall a 3.5/5 experience, but our server was great, dessert was great, and the vibes were nice. the crunchy undercooked pasta, especially this being the entree, really affected the experience.

Went for the DineLA dinner menu, and it was a great experience. It was a Thursday evening, and it was pretty easy to make an online reservation. The space itself is really nice -- lots of outdoor patio seating with a high-ceiling industrial indoor space with open kitchen. The bar is in the front, and they have some nice cocktail and wine options. There were a good number of people there, but there were still plenty of open tables. It was nice to see a restaurant that had a good vibe and plenty of people watching, but not so crowded that there's a long wait or you feel cramped. The restaurant is in a bit of a random spot in downtown, near the flower district and south of skidrow. If you're coming from the main part of Downtown, you may want to consider not driving through skidrow if it's in the evening. Once you do get there, there's plenty of street parking right in front as well as a valet option. The DineLA menu was 3 courses (appetizer, main, and dessert) for $55. I ordered the beef tartare, petit filet, and meyer lemon cream olive oil cake. My buddy ordered the hamachi crudo, the petit filet, and the hazelnut chocolate ganache. All of the food was really good with decent portions. We also ordered a few cocktails. I had the "oro" off the cocktail menu, which was a bourbon based cocktail. Evan Williams is the well bourbon, so I upgraded to Buffalo Trace. It was only a $2 upcharge, which I think was totally worth it. I also ordered a whiskey sour, and they make a proper one with the egg white foam and bitters, served up. The cocktails were excellent, and i can see that the bartenders know what they're doing. This is a great date spot or a small dinner party. I'd say a group of 4 to 6 would be great so that you can order a bunch of things and share. I'll certainly be back again.

My husband and I dined at Rossoblu and loved the food, space, and hospitality so much that we ended up having our wedding reception here. We're so glad we did. They very accommodating from the start, even setting up an impromptu tasting so we could sample the menu. So many dishes were excellent especially the stracciatella and winter citrus, tuna crudo (the pistachio caper sauce is delicious), rosemary focaccia with mortadella mousse, hanger steak, and apennine fries (never had fries like this). Our favorite pastas were the tagliatelle and lasagna bianco (both perfectly cooked texture) and favorite cocktail was the vesuvio. We had a stacked wedding menu that our guests raved about, not just for a wedding but also as a restaurant. There was so much food that servers packed leftovers for guests to bring home. The bar was also very generous with the drinks and even remembered people's orders. Everyone from the servers, host, bartenders, coordinator, and manager were so hospitable and kind from our first visit. They added to the fun during our wedding and now treat us like family. The service was fast during the night, and the team was also easy to work with throughout planning. The outdoor and indoor space are beautiful with an industrial chic vibe. We were drawn to the high ceilings, hanging lights, open space, and large windows. We're glad we can always return to dine here (as we already have). We highly recommend Rossoblu whether for a meal or a full event.

5-Star Experience -- Excellent Food, Gracious Service, and Thoughtful Details Date & Time of Visit: 11/23/2025 @ 5:30 PM Came here with my family on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. This was my third visit over the span of six years--my previous two visits were in December. This time around, the restaurant was noticeably quiet, unlike my earlier visits when it was bustling. I sincerely hope they stay in business. This visit was to celebrate my sister's birthday, and everything we ordered was excellent. DRINKS My glass of Chardonnay was only $12, which is a great price for a fine-dining restaurant in Los Angeles. My sister ordered a non-alcoholic cocktail--the Prickly Pear Margarita (very L.A., haha!)--and she absolutely loved it. FOOD Everything we ordered was delicious--including the Broccolini. Honestly, if a restaurant can make broccolini taste that good, that already says a lot. STARTERS * Rosemary Focaccia (baked in-house, served with date-brown butter, fava e cicoria, and mortadella mousse) * Seafood Fritto Misto SIDE * Broccolini with Calabrian chili butter and herbs MAIN COURSES * Braised Beef Ravioli (my niece and I both ordered this--excellent) * Hanger Steak with cauliflower mash, kale, red wine veal jus, and anchovy butter DESSERTS Affogatos all around! They also surprised my sister with a complimentary birthday dessert--a delicious Gelato. Not many restaurants do that anymore, so it was a very thoughtful touch. RESTROOMS The ladies' room was clean, and I appreciated that the hand-washing sink is located outside the restroom--an extra hygienic setup if you just want to wash your hands without entering the restroom itself. SERVICE Excellent--courteous, professional, and attentive throughout the evening. PARKING Valet available.

We came here for the Dine LA menu and overall really enjoyed it. The food was good and the ambience was great We both got the beef tartare (a little on the salty side but overall very tasty), I got the grilled bass as my main (very delicious and loved the grilled cauliflower) and for my dessert I got the hazelnut mousse. A little too sweet and heavy for me but delicious. My friend got the filet mignon for her main. Unfortunately she said it was too salty for her. For dessert she got the olive oil cake which she enjoyed. We also got the fries to share since it seemed so popular. Almost all the tables nearby had a platter of fries. This was so good. Perfectly fried and crispy on the outside but soft on the inside.

Always a great spot for a great meal. The service is excellent, the menu is inviting and the overall experience great. We stuck to pasta on this visit with the bolognese and risotto being our two top favorites. We had to order the fries after the LA Times reported they were the best in the city. They were good but maybe not the hype. We enjoyed dessert but they were so good I forgot to take pictures. It's a definite return when I am back n DTLA.

This is my second time reviewing Rossoblu and second time giving it 5 stars. I had colleagues in town who asked me to pick something in DTLA, and I haven't been to Rossoblu in years. I am so glad I chose it! I've often sat outside but we sat inside for this dinner and it does get a bit loud once the tables are all full. But it's a beautiful restaurant! They hand roll pasta daily and it's just so good. We ordered quite a bit... The foccacia was tasty and served with a few types of butter (be careful as one isn't vegetarian). They loved the meatballs. The Valbruna's eggplant is out of this world. And I don't love eggplant. But I remembered eating and loving this dish years ago and happy to say it's just as good today. The stracciatella and fall fruit was perfection...I am obsessed with persimmon! We had the tortelloni (my fave!), the gnocchi (great if you love gnocchi...the way it sticks to the roof of my mouth makes me not a gnocchi fan in general!), and the seasonal pasta special (butternut squash caramelle) was delicious and not too sweet. Someone had the lasagna which they deemed exquisite. We had a few orders of the Apennine fries...yum! We ended with three flavours of gelato and the persimmon flan (which oddly didn't taste of persimmon but rather tasted like normal flan?) I will definitely be back. Service was a little slow, and they forgot to put in two of our orders, and brought us two things we didn't order (which we were then given and fine with), so not sure if our server was simply overwhelmed as it was a busy night, or perhaps he's new? But even that couldn't downgrade my star rating from a 5! Can't wait to come again.

Are you open for breakfast or lunch on any given day?

We normally are not open for breakfast or lunch but have been serving brunch from 11am - 2:30pm on Sundays this summer. This has been a summer pop-up for us so we are not sure if we will continue in the fall. Please check our website or Open Table…

Is it dog friendly (obviously for outdoor seating)?? thanks!

Hi Helen! Yes, we can seat dogs outside on our mezzanine or in the garden. Hope to see you soon!

    Does it get loud?

Hello, thanks for reaching out! On our busiest nights, especially in the dining room it can get moderately loud. The patio and garden areas are always comfortably quiet. If you’re looking for a quiet dinner inside, try booking before 6pm on a…

    Bar seating for solo diners?

Yes, smallish bar, seats for ~8 people.

How is parking? Thank you for the quick responses!

They have a valet. Considering the area, use the valet.

Do you plan on opening for brunch soon?

Yeah, I plan to open my own restaurant someday...

What is the cake cutting fee?

We charge $10 for the cake. During the height of the pandemic, it was strongly discouraged to bring "outside food" into restaurants. Please let us know if you plan to bring outside food to our restaurant. Thank you, Hans

I see you require a credit card to make reservations, what are your cancellation policies?

Hi sorry to have not gotten back to you sooner. We are currently restructuring our policy regarding credit card held reservations. Ideally, our guests inform us when they are not able to honor a reservation. It’s always good form to call the…

How much do they charge for corkage fee?

Currently $50 / bottle. However, we do honor a 1:1 policy. For every bottle that you purchase from us, a corkage fee is waived.

Do they have gluten free pasta or pizza?

Thank you for asking, Marina. We do not have GF pizza or pasta at this time

How can I make a reservation?

Hi Karl - We use Open Table as our reservations platform. You can access that at Open Table or on our website. We reopen for outdoor dining only beginning Feb 18th, 2021.

How many people does the private dining area downstairs fit? How does the pricing work for that?

Arlene - thank you for your inquiry. Right now in Los Angeles, our County and City protocols do not allow for any dining inside. We do offer outside dining in our garden and even there we are restricted to parties of 6 or less. We are strictly…

Are you dog friendly esp since you have outdoor seating now?

Yes we bring our dog all the time...

Do they leave room for walk ins?

    yes!

    Is there a dress code?

I don't believe it has a formal dress code, but the ambiance does lean toward dress casual, rather than flip flops and a t-shirt. ;D

Do they generally have a few vegan items? And/or are they cool with modifying dishes to make them vegan?

Yes. They have good salad options, grilled vegies, pasta, gnocchi. They also are very accommodating to substitute ingredients.

    How's the Crescentine Fritte?

    They are excellent

Where is the best place to sit? Dining room, terrace, or patio?

I'd say the Terrace because it's the best of both worlds with a view of the common areas.

    Best place to sit?

I would say anywhere away from the kitchen because the ventilation system can make that area windy and cold

Do they have a cake cutting fee?

They should, but I'm not sure

Everything we ordered was delicious, with the exception of the Korean aguachiles, which we probably could've skipped. We also tried the bluefin bibimbap, oysters, and the oh-so-tender short rib that practically melted in our mouths. But the most unforgettable dish was also the simplest: the Korean fried chicken. It wasn't necessarily something out of the ordinary, but it sure tasted like it. The perfect crisp, flavor, and seasoning had us eating every last piece right down to the bone. The menu is kind of "greatest Korean hits", including a few charcoal grilled items. The drink menu is pretty extensive. It's a smallish space with both indoor and outdoor seating and a darkish, festive atmosphere. Here's what we ordered: 1) Korean aguachile--flounder in a cold kimchi broth that was partially granita-like. Refreshing. 2) Fried chicken wings. Pretty classic. Supposedly half plain and half soy-garlic, but they were pretty similar. A nice sweet chili sauce on the side, along with some pickled daikon and other veggies. I like a sweet glaze directly on my wings, but these had a good crunch. 3) Chilled acorn noodle. With greens, toasted nori and a jammy egg. Cooling, but the greens were a bit harsh for me. 4) Savory egg souffle. Nice but nothing out of the ordinary. 5) Spicy braised black cod. I was worried it would be too spicy but actually was very mild, possibly tomato-based sauce with nicely braised daikon and a side of slightly pickled napa cabbage. 6) Grilled beef short rib. Delish! More like a hangar steak than short rib. Came with a dipping sauce, coarse salt, lemon and a little salad with a pungent dressing. 7) Hotteok a la mode. A caramelized cinnamon "crepe" with toasted seeds and vanilla ice cream. Delish. They also had a strawberry bingsu (Korean dairy-based shaved ice) that sounded good, a collaboration with Korean Ice Co. down the street. Note Mulberry claims it's a no tipping establishment, but adds a 20% "fee" to your bill. Overall a nice meal, on the pricey side. I do think I prefer Japanese food more, but Mulberry is a good introduction to Korean.

When a place puts this much effort into creating a particular world, dressing the part really does make the experience more fun. The spirits themselves were excellent. We tasted vodka, whiskey, and rum, and all three were remarkably smooth, interesting, and clearly very high quality. I loved that the tasting was guided rather than just having drinks dropped in front of us. Such a fun choice for a birthday celebration, date night, or a night out with friends when you want something completely different from the usual bar experience. We're already looking forward to going back and seeing what our new membership unlocks.

It was such a nice spot to sit, take in the view, and enjoy our drinks. The decor was beautiful and gave the place a stylish but comfortable feel. The young man in the front that checked our ID was so friendly . The drinks were really good and definitely made the experience even better. It's a great place to come and relax, enjoy some drinks, and take in the atmosphere. Overall, I really liked the vibe, the window seating, and the drinks, and I would definitely come back again.

We notified staff immediately, but the response was surprisingly indifferent. We were told that phone thefts "happen," which wasn't reassuring at all. We also asked for help reviewing security camera footage since we were seated directly in front of a camera, but days went by with little to no communication despite multiple attempts to reach the bar through DMs and email. Whether or not the theft itself could have been prevented, the lack of urgency, communication, and concern for customers left a terrible impression. If phone theft is something staff are already aware happens, I would expect much more proactive support when a guest becomes a victim. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this bar based on how the situation was handled. If you visit, keep an extremely close eye on your belongings.

We walk in and the place is beautifully done inside! Chill ambiance, nice materials, cool tile and artwork . We chose a booth, but there were plenty of seating options on a Sunday earlyish evening. The menu? Whoa! Wtf in a great way!!!! They explain the science behind how they create every elixir aaaand how they are so sustainable! #1 sustainable bar in North America and apparently #24 of top 50 bars in North America! We tried the: Fu Gwaa Falsetto: SO cool! They used a bitter melon, which is hard to include in things, and made a dope drink! The sprinkles on top were my fave and tied the drink together. Koji Killer: dessert drink for sure, but I kinda needed a second one delicious! Barcelonette: refreshing, light, lovely P Town Boxing Club: a little disappointed that I couldn't taste the pandan as much, didn't get as much of a distinct flavor Hops Don't Lie: canned, refreshing, my partner like it! The servers/bartenders were so cool and knowledgeable about the menu, they even brought us samples and let us know if we didn't like something they'd replace it! And did! Will definitely be back to try more concoctions

I went on a Monday, right after they opened at 5 pm, it already people sitting at the bar. The crowd was very chill, very typical Echo Park low-key characters, quite a few seemed to know the staff well. The food and drinks were all fine to me, I had a couple old fashions, my girlfriend had a specialty drink with brunt orange something, she liked it. We tried the chicken thighs, fried green tomatoes, and the chicken biscuit. They all were good, my only issue, the chicken biscuit item is not served on a biscuit like I was thinking , its just on a sandwich bun essentially. Overall, I would go again maybe on a Friday or Saturday night to see the difference, if any of the crowd and vibe.
