This is not my first time going to Rotolos but will probably be my last. Went with my husband and ordered drinks first, my tea did not taste fresh so the waitress was kind enough to bring me a soda instead. The appetizer was good. When our food came my order was wrong. So my husband had to eat his food before it got cold while I had none because I had to wait for them to make another pizza. 20 mins later I just did not feel like eating anymore so we boxed it up. We were not asked for refills and the staff did not seem concerned about the customers. They all stood behind the check out laughing and talking amongst themselves. Won't be going back. read more

I bought a gluten free pizza from here the other night. It was very good and we asked them if they have any possibilities of contaminating the pizza with the gluten and they said no. I started eating the pizza and I could tell that it had been contaminated. I'm sure they don't really have another place to prep there food. So if you have celiac disease I would stay away from there pizzas. read more

Became familiar with this pizza joint while living in Beaumont, Texas. We recently realized there was one here and couldn't be happier! Lately we have been getting The Krewe pizza which I can't say enough good things about. I most recently got a wrap that was outstanding. Have not been disappointed yet. read more

First time here, I travel full time so I always try to pick new places I've never been to. I ordered the cranberry/walnut salad (half order) with chicken added to it. I subbed mozzarella for feta and added onion to it. It was very very good. The cranberry dressing was great, and the chicken had great flavor. The salad was $5 plus 2.50 for the chicken. Great service and very good food. I had a personal pan pizza with a couple of beers. Very fresh food and friendly service. I sat at the bar and was able to watch them make my pizza. Kinda neat. Great place and fun environment. I will definitely recommend them and will return. read more

Walked in to an empty restaurant.. At 2 p.m. you should have a pretty good lunch crowd. That should have tipped us off. We ordered to go....a deluxe combination calzone which wasn't cooked all the way. Got home and had to put it in the oven to finish cooking it. also ordered a shrimp scampi. it says on the menu that it is served in a "scampi sauce" what they mean to say is..... OIL! It was swimming in oil! and for $14.49 you would expect a decent serving size but instead got around a cup of pasta with a ok amount of shrimp in it. and to finish our order we got a kids chicken strips, ok, kids can eat 3-4 strips right? Here, you get two strips and a tiny bag of Zapps chips. Our total came to $34 and some change. I don't know about you but I won't be going back to Rotolos. read more

Great service! Great Garlic parmesan appetizers! Reasonable prices. Unfortunately the meatball pizza we ordered was not so tasteful. It left us with a sickening feeling in our tummies. Maybe it's the seasoning? Sad to say we won't be ordering that again. read more

Great service and amazing food. We have had Italian at other places but the meats are real and the sauce is amazing!!! Not too greasy and everyone is happy. Plus they have specials all the time. You have to try the bbq chicken or the Italian club. read more

I have traveled the country and since I've had the real deal Chicago Style pizza, I have been hooked. This place is nearly perfect when it comes to Chicago style! They have great sauce, great service great ingredients and the Apps (flatbread/cheese sticks) are killer. Visited on a Friday night, place was surprisingly not super busy. The food was very hot, everything properly prepared. Service was excellent, very polite and attentive. They went out of their way to accomodate our kids and ensure they had an enjoyable time. I might add that the facility was spotless, very well kept. No complaints on our visit! read more

Just went back since it re-opened. In my opinion they should not have changed. The new menu is quite confusing even if you already know what you want. We arrived and place was not busy but yet the hostess sat us in the far corner where they were building to-go boxes. Our order was really simple and took around 30 minutes to arrive. I could understand the wait if they were busy but they weren't. The pizza was just okay. I prefer the "Old Rotolo's Pizza" better. May go back not sure. read more

I went to Rotolo"s on 8/23/14 at about 4 PM because I was hungry and wanted to try out the "new" pizza joint. I went in and there were 3 people sitting at the bar and one table had 2 people sitting and apparently waiting for their food. I sat at a table that was in plain view and waited. And after about 10 minutes and not one person approached me or my table to even ask if I wanted something to drink, I left. You can"t make a second first impression! read more

Disappointing. Slow in getting our food and then to top it off, my wife finds a hair in her calzone. Service was below average. Price is ok but not great. Better option just down the street. Rotolo's is an Italian restaurant/sports bar. They serve pizza, calzones, pasta, sandwiches and other Italian favorites. They have coke products and a full bar. I'm personally excited they had Fat Tire on tap with frosted beer glass. The restaurant is dedicated with the local sports memorabilia with authentic stadium seats in the waiting area. They have table and chair seating as well as booth seating. On the bar side, they have seating at the bar and raised tables with stools. There's a couple of TVs. They played a mixture of hits ranging from different eras. The restrooms were clean and smelling good. I ordered the pesto marguerite calzone. It was a good size about a foot long and stuffed with delicious ingredients. The dough was average, I've had some with more flavor. My wife ordered the Joe Horn BBQ chicken calzone. It had just the right amount if bbq. My kids order the spaghetti, buttered noodles, and a personal pizza. No complaints from them. Check this place out with your family. read more

I have came to Rotolo's 3 times now and I have had a excellent experience every time. The food has always been fresh and the service staff was really friendly. The first time I heard about the $5.99 calzones on Wednesdays I had to come in and try them. Even on a busy day I had my order within 5 minutes. Wasn't very impressed with this Rotolo's location in Slidell. At approximately 1:15 in the afternoon, we walked in with 4 grandchildren and sat at a large booth. The waitress took our drink order and brought our drinks. We ordered garlic balls and wings for appetizers a child's spaghetti and meatballs, and 2 14" pizzas. It took well over 20 minutes for our appetizers then the pizzas and spaghetti came out right after. When she brought out the pizzas, I was trying to make room on the table and she saw me place some plates on the seat. She never came back for them or ever attempted to pre bus the table. There were only 2-3 other tables there. The service was really bad and the time it took to receive our food was way longer than it should have been. I expected the food to be hot, being it took so long, but it wasn't. I could grab a piece of pizza right off the pan and eat it without a fork. Usually a hot pizza has to be eaten with a fork! I did tip $7 which was 10% of the bill, I tip 20% unless the service sucks, which it did. I gave it 2 stars cause although the food wasn't hot, it still taste good. read more

We've only been here a few times, having just recently decided to finally give it a try. Glad we did, as the flatbread pizza is fantastic! The interior is very sports-dominant, which is fine (it's kinda nice to look at Saints jerseys and framed newspapers of the Superbowl win on the walls. Service is not bad, though the times we've been there they haven't been particularly busy. read more
