As the de facto social event coordinator at my work, I am always looking for venues to host large gatherings. Honestly, it's not an easy job. Aside from budget limitations, most of our people and retirees are scattered all over the Bay Area. Finding a budget-friendly spot that is easy for them to travel to has become a difficult task these days. This Round Table is one of my favorite venues. It's conveniently located in Alamo Plaza, not far from the Stone Valley exit of Hwy 680. The plaza itself is nicely maintained, with no noticeable vagrancy and ample parking. The restaurant is on the north end, next to the CCCSO substation. The interior is decently sized, with a small bar area and a private room that can host up to 20-30 people. It also has a nice small patio area out front. We have hosted several pizza parties here in the past few years. The owner and his staff are friendly and easy to work with. We usually spend anywhere from $600 to $1,000 per event and they have always waived the room fee for us. We have never had a bad experience here. The food and beer are consistently good. If you are looking for a spot to host a pizza party, keep them in mind! read more

We order a pizza delivered tonight, it was wrong, no sauce. I called and asked them to send the correct pizza, why not $55 for a twelve inch pizza. They told me I was incorrect, in so many words the chef called me a liar ??? and that they would replace if and I could pick it up. I insisted that I paid for delivery and wanted it delivered. I was passing through Alamo during lunch time, I was hungry so I walked into Alamo's Round Table Pizza. Wow! This is a great location. The service was also excellent. They walk from table to table to ask how your food is. Great wine selection too. Cozy seating sections and the salad bar is amazing. So many more selections than other round table pizzas. I had the lunch special which includes a personal pizza, a drink and a visit to the salad bar for $20. Their personal pizza was 6 slices. Larger than the average personal pizza. Made fresh to order. I stopped in for pizza and had a mixed experience overall. Victor, the cook, was awesome and genuinely funny, keeping the energy positive and clearly taking pride in the food, and Jack, the young man at the register, was polite, professional, and respectful the entire time. The downside was a girl I was told is named CK, who came across as rude and dismissive, which stood out compared to the others. I've been coming around table since I was a kid and every time I come into town to visit my family I like to come here they have the best salad bar anywhere hands-down in the Eastbay. Craving a Skipolini's pizza, I learned upon ordering that they have closed their WC location. :( This said, I thought I'd give my childhood favorite a go. Ordered and picked up my $25 small pizza. I would not have mentioned the price had it not been honestly the most terrible tasting pizza I've had in a very long time. Happened to be in the area and needed to grab an impromptu lunch and stopped at this round table that I hadn't been to in years and had such a wonderful experience. Staff was friendly from the moment of arrival and the ambiance took me back to how local pizza parlors used to look. They had claw machines, a deliciously fresh salad bar and large comfortable booths. When the pizza arrived it continued my delightful experience. I have to say this is one of the best round tables I've ever been to, I happen to be in the neighborhood at 10:00 a.m. and needed a pizza for early lunch guests. I have been going to this location for many years. Recently, I've started seeing a girl with pink hair behind the counter. I have began to notice that she's very un-attentive, especially when it's busy. One time there was decent sized line, the rest of the staff was doing the best they could to keep up, and she just sat at the bar on her phone. The resturaunt has a plenty of seating and lots of large TVs for game day. Some old arcade games from the 80s in case your kids get bored. Staff is young but very friendly and helpful. The pizza is amazing, the salad bar is the best in town (fresh!), the staff is really nice, and your pizza arrives quickly. This is not the usual Round Table Pizza. The community of Alamo uses it as a sports bar and it is full for Warriors games. Besides the pizzas you already know and love, there is a fabulous salad bar, outside patio and kids play zone. The seating offers choices from high tops to booths to a living room type chair for lounging. During the evenings seating in the patio allows kids to be loud while adults have a beverage and chat. It is a true community spot and unique to this location. What makes the salad bar so fabulous? Besides crispy fresh greens there are protein choices (ham, turkey, chicken, hard boiled eggs) and all the vegies you want and any extras (roasted garlic, corn, garbanzo beans, cheeses, nuts). I was in the area for business one night and needed a break and good pizza to go, so here I went - what a great location! The location is inside a small outdoor mall, so plenty of parking, and it's on a corner with a nice outdoor patio for the milder weather (was a little chilly tonight for al fresco, however). The inside is welcoming as well, with plenty of seats in booths, tables and elevated "bar tables" as well. The décor is subdued yet busy and colorful, very entertaining and yet almost homey in nature. The counter service was very friendly, and efficient - within a short wait I had a steamy hot pizza to go, and enjoyed looking around while waiting. This review is long overdue as I lived within walking distance of this location back in the pre-Covid 19 days. This location is small but they are efficient and very customer service-oriented. I have never had a bad experience here. Nice outdoor dining area with a patio and also a sports TV area if that's your thing... well, outdoor dining HAS to be your thing right now, whether you like it or not. My friends who have lived in Danville since 1965 also agree that this is the best Round Table location in the San Ramon Valley. read more

I walked in and was immediately greeted and taken care of. I placed a takeout order. I was told an estimated time of 8-10 minutes--very fast! Then, this lady came in and was extremely rude to the staff, practically yelling about how bad her pizza was and how bad the service was, screaming about wanting a refund. The staff handled it very professionally and calmly. Kudos to them! I would have lost it with her attitude and privilege. After apologizing to the staff about her behavior, I was promptly given my pizza and was on my way. She also threatened to write a one-star review here, so if you see that, I was there, and she was extremely disrespectful to them. A late review (picked up a pizza in December around Christmas), but I had such an unwelcoming experience I will still write the review. Cashier was so unfriendly and when I asked about any specials or coupons they didn't even seem to register what I was saying. I'm like LOL ok. Anyway, a large 2 topping and a salad came out to over $50!???????? On top of that, when I get home, the pizza is made wrong and it doesn't even taste as good as it normally does. Maybe because of the price? But I just really didn't think it was up to par as far as round table pizza goes. Round table is always the best. Come on! I gotta give kudos to the folks at Round Table for finally jumping on the Gluten Free band wagon to provide a GF pizza crust! We have a GF kid and he's tried just about every GF crust in the area. He says this is one of the best he's tasted. I have to agree...light, crunchy and thick make this a terrific GF option. Like most restaurants, this crust comes in one size, small, but it felt a little larger to me. Probably because of the puffiness of the crust. Of course the service is always great at this location. Be careful, the owner has a sense of humor that can catch you off guard, and I love it! As others have mentioned, the salad bar is top notch. I find myself being over zealous at times because it all looks so delicious. If you're not into pizza, the salad bar is a meal, with options like chicken, ham and avocado on the cart, you'll get your protein. Interesting adds, like roasted garlic cloves, sun dried tomatoes and julienned bell pepper in tri-colors will make you realize how serious these people are about their salad! The wings (both bone in and boneless) are a great option for appetizers or meal. Pasta and sandwiches are also on the list. This location also has a room for hosting private gatherings. With round table, you know you will get a consistent pie every time! But this round table is something special. The salad bar has over 40 different toppings, ranging from chicken, crab, Mediterranean pickles, feta cheese, gourmet olives, roasted garlic etc...well worth the price of admission. We normally get a large pizza and salads but by the time we're done eating the salad we just take the pizza home to go. Also, the seating is fantastic. The outside has this chic patio with bar. The inside has large dark wood tables and even leather lounge chairs to watch the games. Best pizza in Alamo, best customer service, and most comfortable large space seating available. We used to order pizza here all the time, we were good customers until the last time my husband ordered from here March 8 2021 he got massive food poisoning. After about an hour he started feeling ill and then soon after he couldn't control a massive attack with vomiting and diarrhea at the same time. He tried to aim into the toilet but it projected everywhere, I'm sorry I know that's too much info, but just wanted to describe how bad it was, and then it was followed by a headache. I was lucky I wasn't home yet as I would have eaten it when I got home...but my poor husband suffered through it. I just wanted to say the manager was HORRIBLE!!! Took our granddaughter last night...hated to fight the traffic & smoke to Danville or Walnut Creek...so gave this place a shot It was horrible 20 years ago...and other than a nice decor change the pizza and the PRICES are still horrible.
