I usually love Subway but the location 2 doors down is offering a strange sanitation trend, no place to wash your hands before you eat their sandwiches! I still can't believe they think that's normal. I'm not sure the staff washes but they do use those funny plastic gloves for just about everything. "Welcome to subway, let me just tie off this trash bag and then I'll make your sandwich." WTF? Am I crazy or is it just nuts that a sandwich place, sandwiches that are eaten with the hands, Subway makes sandwiches and serves them to their customers who CAN NOT wash their hands before eating the sandwich? Seems way counter intuitive or maybe it's a normal thing for employees, management, CEO's and franchise owners to eat sandwiches with unwashed hands so they expect customers to do it also. So strange. Anyway, I asked the staff if I could wash my hands and they kindly referred me to the Round Table Pizza place two doors down, "They have a place to wash your hands in the bathroom." So I walked two doors down and had an amazing chicken cheese sandwich that came with chips and I got a soda and it was all cheaper than Subway. By the way, the Subway staff was correct, the pizza place does have running hot water for hand washing and makes a damn good sandwich. I'll be eating where I can wash my hands! I love round table pizza; however, I will not purchase from this establishment in Morro Bay because of the continued rude customer service. Every time I call to order they act like they don't want to help me. There is always an issue with ordering pizza (sold out, closing at 8pm etc). Last night I called at 7:30pm for take out and they were apparently sold out for the night but didn't close until 10PM. They are completely rude and unprofessional. Very disappointing. Ordered using the online option for pick up. First they did not give us the Family Salad we ordered, second they did not read the comments asking for no onions whatever on the CHICKEN garlic Gourmet. It had both red onions and and green onions on it. Plus when we picked it up and verbally told them not only the name for the order but also the order #, they did not listen and we waited an extra 30 minutes and received cold pizzas. Disappointed and not returning to this particular pizza place. I did call and they said they would take off the $10 charge for the salad, we will see if they keep their word. read more

Pizza was amazing! We ordered during the Super Bowl and expected it to be late and lukewarm. Surprise! It was here in 20 minutes or so, delivered by a nice young man, and was delicious! I've continually been disrespected at this location. Being referred to as "oh that customer" is not something any customer wants to hear when I'm the most patient customer and respectful of your employees time and the circumstances of covid19. I specifically call and ask if I can use codes on my RT app and I'm assured it's fine, but given a rude remark upon arriving. If your store does not want accept coupons then PLEASE relay that information when I call to ask if I can use them before even placing an order. I've been accused of stealing from this location because the employees in the back can't recall placing an order off to the side to keep warm and the general managers calls me to insist I already picked up my order (when this is certainly not the case) as I do not for the description of the customer he insists already picked up my order under the same EXACT name as mine, quite odd in my opinion. To top off that separate experience, the employee drops my ranch all over the floor and responds "you have enough as it is, I'm not getting you another". The lack of customer service is appalling. Came to pick up a pizza, went in for 5 minutes to get it and came out to a dead vehicle (still have no idea why). Politely asked if a delivery driver would be kind enough to jump us, we had cables ready. The young guy working there asked the manager who gave me the dirtiest look and continued to mouth to the other guy how there was no way they can help. Had he come up and said, "I'm so sorry but we don't have enough hands to do that" or "can I offer you the phone to call a tow?" or anything remotely polite I would not be leaving this review. But he was completely rude and uncaring. Thankfully one of his customers was kind and in 5 minutes we were on our way. Stopped here on a road trip before hitting Moro Bay. I already like Round table pizza but I had to leave a review for this location. Got our food super quick and the customer service was exceptional. Misty was very helpful with order selections and super attentive! There were a few other parties in the restaurant but she was quick to ask if we needed anything and to clear our plates. My child received a free personal pizza for reading this summer...so I took her in to redeem it and the smell hit me. It stunk like an outhouse. I looked around and it seemed pretty clean, so I let my daughter order. I think it's slightly ridiculous that she had to pay for a drink to get her pizza but the free pizza is better than no reward! The sweet lady at the register took her order and and money, then proceeded to make the pizza without washing her hands. Since she didn't wear gloves, this wasn't cool. My daughter then witnessed her eat some of the toppings while making the pizza. We took the cooked pizza with a smile and "thank you" and left knowing we will never go back. read more

Craving pizza and a salad bar, my partner and I wound up at Round Table this evening. Neither of us had been there since we were kids growing up in SoCal, so it was a little bit nostalgic to be in one of their chains. I fondly remember going to Round Table after winning soccer games and putting Paula Abdul's "Cold Hearted" on the jukebox *every* time along with some cycling Madonna...but enough of my reminiscing. The pizza is as good if not better than I remembered it- still the same zesty sauce and tasty crust. The salad bar was much better than I expected and they have the "good" ranch, as someone else mentioned in a review of the Los Osos location. We came half an hour before closing and everything in the salad bar was still cold, fresh and crisp. Aside from the food itself, Round Table scores points for being very clean, well lit, and having an exceedingly nice staff. We were the only people there and didn't feel like the annoying customers who rolled in right before closing. They made us feel completely welcome; they weren't the typical apathetic, self-conscious teenagers you often find at pizza joints. I was glad to relive a bit of a childhood memory without it being tainted by a different, adult reality and will definitely be back for the $6.99 pizza/breadstick/salad bar buffet special. We have been here before & enjoyed it, but tonight's visit was disappointing. 3 pizzas and 16 wings took over an hour to arrive at our table. Maybe it was the holiday, but they were clearly understaffed. Celery was brown. Stingy with side sauce for the wings. There was no ice for sodas, and we had to wait for the one person at the counter to wait on others before we could get straws. Bathroom shouldn't be allowed by local health department. Toilet is missing the tank lid, and is covered instead with clear plastic wrap. Gross. We'll probably go back, but the sting of paying $76 for a lukewarm meal experience will encourage us to go to the Port instead. read more

Meh...the pizza is good not great by anymeans.. i'd give 3 stars for the pizza. What makes me take a star off is the prices.. they have always been high but tonight when i went to order a Lrg CHEESE pizza with a garden salad the total was 36dollars. Really? 36 dollars for a cheese pizza and lettuce? i told them never mind knowing i could call another place (sabetta's) and get a better pizza for less money.. and i was right.. i got the same order with a better salad for 25... go figure. word of advise to this round table is lower your prices until you can provide a pizza worth paying that much for. until then i won't be eating here. read more

After sunset at Morro bay, we stopped here for dinner. Ambiance: Casual. Lots of family-size tables with TV on each wall. Service : Waiter was very nice. Answered all our stupid questions (like what is Polynesian sauce, how you make it...) patiently. Food : Garlic Parmesan twists were good though bit less garlicy then you would like. Overpriced! To say the least. Ordered 2 small pizzas for $40 this were more like personal Sz pizzas. I was charged twice! When I call the restaurant they say they have nothing to do with online orders!! Manager... was very rude and not helpful at all! I can easily say Dominos has better service and pizza . Ate lunch there today. We had the salad bar and pizza. We used to live in San Jose, and we always ate pizza at Round Table, moved to Aurora, Colorado and they put one in the shopping center not to far from house, the place was always very busy (the only one we ever found in Colorado) then they closed it after a few months. Moving to Arizona no Round Table there either so here we are in Morro Bay for vacation and there is one here! It was nice and clean, salad bar was full of good stuff! Pizza was as we remembered. I've been to a few Round Table locations in my day, but this one is by far the best. Over the years I've only experienced great customer service, and great food. Sometimes the salad bar isn't so awesome, but the pizza never fails. The flavor, time it takes, and amount of toppings are all wonderful and consistent. There's also manager specials and lunch specials if you're looking to save. It's clean every time I've been here. The arcade is tiny but not something I look for anyway. My family and I drove here on a mini vacation. Now I'm aware that most visitors head for the fish and chips (lol) but we have 6 year old twins that are picky eaters. We came to this Round Table and were greeted by Don. Wow what amazing service. He was so kind and helpful the whole time we were here. He was SO nice to everyone in the place that I assumed he was the owner! But he informed us that he was an employee. Talk about valuing your customers! There is no sense to their delivery. 3 times I have ordered pizza, at $30+ each time, and they never get it right. This last time I was very specific about the order, and mentioned that they had messed up the previous 2 orders and was assured that they would get this one right. English is my first language; I do not have any kind of accent that would make my request hard to understand. The manager of this franchise must just hire people that don't care about the quality of their product or their customers. I was on hold for 6 minutes to place my order. The person taking my order, asked for the expiry date of my credit card, when I said April, he did not know the number of that month..04! The only positive about this business is the delivery people. Firstly, stating they have nothing to do with yelp coupons, and if you order online, it's not their store system.
