When I was a lad, my best friend moved to PQ. His home was a few blocks from this Round Table Pizza location. His parents would drop us off with enough money to buy a couple personal pizzas and plays a few games. Good times. Now I'm well into adulthood but still have the occasional craving for my childhood favorites. And this Round Table delivers exactly that. It's good pizza that has no degradation of quality over time. Unlike so much in this world, it's consistently good. What's the magic here? The pepperoni. It will forever be the gold standard. It's spicy, crisp and forms those little cups that hit just right when bitten. I've dined in, picked up and had deliveries from the location. All were good experiences. The last two drivers I've had have been very good. Overall, very happy each time I've encountered the staff. My only complaint is that they no longer have the "Haley's Comet" video game that took hundreds of my quarters during my childhood. The restaurant is quieter without it, but this is arguably better for the adults of this world. Alas, time passes. But at least the pizza is still here and very tasty. read more

I do like the toppings, they seem fresh and the pizza is good but taking a family here is a bit expensive. Wife was out of town and I had to figure out dinner, figured we haven't been here for a long time so I took my kids. I remember last time they had several video games and pinball so I told them to load up on quarters. It was a little baffling why they ditched the games and replaced them with claw machines. I was honestly shocked by the prices at Round Table. Before COVID, my husband and I used to come here all the time, especially when I was pregnant and constantly craving pizza, specifically Round Table. It also has a lot of nostalgia for me, since it was one of the places my dad used to take us growing up after my parents separated. When we went today, I was surprised to see that specialty pizzas now start at almost $40. Special 1 begins at $39.75 and the prices go all the way up to $89.75, which is a lot. They have four specials (Special 1, 2, 3, and 4), and even the lowest-priced option felt steep. Because of that, we opted for a personal, single-topping pizza instead, a 6-inch personal for $12.12. The pizza itself was still yummy and very much the classic Round Table quality I remember. The restaurant was nice but pretty empty. The service was okay, though it felt a bit awkward as we were debating the prices and the staff seemed to be watching us. Overall, it's still good pizza and definitely nostalgic for me, and I'll probably still come back. I'm just much more aware now that Round Table has become a much pricier stop than it used to be. read more

Love this Round Table in Rancho Peñasquitos! I've been coming here for years, and it's always a great experience. The pizza is consistently delicious -- fresh ingredients, perfectly baked crust, and just the right amount of toppings. You can really taste the quality compared to other chains. I often stop by for lunch, and Alyssa and Natalie are fantastic! Their pizzas always come out perfect -- never over- or undercooked -- and the garlic twists are soft, fluffy, and absolutely addictive. The restaurant is always clean and well-kept. I rarely ever see dirty tables unless there's just been a big party finishing up. My only suggestion is that it could use a bit of an update -- it's starting to look a little dated, but still very clean. Side note: I also visit the Poway location occasionally. Their staff has changed recently, and while the pizza quality hasn't always been consistent (sometimes too thin or undercooked), I've noticed definite improvement with their new manager. *Lastly, I know that ingredients are on the expensive side... but I think it's a bit pricier than some of their peers. First time going to this location. Came in for a fundraiser. Tables needed to be cleared of dirty dishes and trash, but we were able to find a clean table. My family requested BBQ chicken pizza which is what we ordered. Tasted fine. Nothing super exciting. We also got the appetizer combo. I've made it a personal goal to eat more veggies and get more fiber so my go-to salad spot is Round Table! For $14.99 you get unlimited salad and I think that's an absolute deal. You can skip unlimited and get one plate for cheaper but I don't like overloading my plate and for just a couple dollars more I can have more variety with my salad and have it mixed better. The cashiers at this location are always nice to me and for some reason feel local to me too. The salad bar is always clean and I'm never shy to ask for more spinach they are always happy to oblige. The toppings are good selection and the bacon and eggs additions make sure you can get protein with your salad. My favorite addition to my meal is the garlic breadsticks which are ooey gooey and garlicky. The pizza here is good too! I don't have pictures but we've gotten pizza delivered and picked up from here multiple times and it's good. I'm proud to support a local business like Round Table. I haven't been here in ages so we were excited to try them out last night . Round table holds a special Place in my heart at my parents used to take us to a different location when we were little . I see coupons for them at the BOGO magazines but nothing enticing enough to make a special trip here . We wanted to try a cheese pizza to go but the price of a large cheese was over $20. The coupon had a large pepperoni pizza for $17.99 which I asked if they could take and just don't add pepperoni. Thankfully it worked . Pizza took about 20 minutes and was packaged well . Justin , the nice young man who gave us pizza , was super nice . He asked if we wanted plates and condiments . The pizza size was small . Cheese was decent and the crust had the same good taste I remembered from years past . Friends agreed pizza was way better than Domino's even though it was way pricier . I ordered for delivery today. Last time I was here, I was disappointed in the food and service. Today it's a much different story! I ordered a garlic sauce pizza with thicker crust (extra cost) and extra cheese, bacon, and chicken on it. The pizza was delicious! The crust was amazing, and the sauce was good. Last time the red sauce was not at all good quality in my opinion but their garlic sauce tasted so wonderful! I ordered for context free delivery due to COVID but the guy knocked and waited for me to come open the door to get the pizza. That's the only drawback here. Delivery was super fast!! My first time at this Round Table restaurant and I learned not always do chain restaurants maintain consistency. I've been a big fan of the Gourmet Veggie pizza since I first tried it about 20 years ago. I'm more of a pepperoni & sausage pizza type but there is something about the RT Gourmet Veggie I crave every once in awhile. I normally go to the RT in Rancho Bernardo or off Governor Drive but this location is fairly close and figured there would be some consistency to their product. I ordered online as I always do and headed over to pick up. They are located in a moderate sized strip mall with plenty of parking. When I walked in, I was greeted by someone at the counter and I paid for my order. I didn't have to wait long for the pizza and I was back on my way home. The pizza looked amazing but taste wise, it just wasn't as good as I've had at the other RT locations I regularly frequent. One thing I always find odd about this pizza, is while it's called a "gourmet veggie" and yet they use regular tomatoes (roma tomatoes) instead of sundried tomatoes. The sauce also didn't seem to have the same taste as the other places. Overall, the pizza was okay, but just didn't seem to be as good as the other locations. I've been going to RT for about 20 years and never have had anything but the gourmet veggie pizza. And when I get a craving for it, I just like to have consistency and get what I'm craving. Although this place is closer, I'll probably have to go back to some of the other place. A lot better than than the La Mesa location (see my review on that horror movie of a location). so, after escaping the La Mesa location, I decided to try this location (different day). The difference is night at day. There were actual customers eating here, some games and the pizza tasted like pizza. Also, they leave the lights on, on the bathroom ( they really know how to spoil their customers). My metabolism is slowing down, and going out for pizza is something I rarely treat myself to. After the disaster that was visiting the La Mesa location, I thought about taking a long break from pizza all together. A week later I decided to try this place. Kind of a "lets see if they can restore my faith in pizza parlors" bet. The food was good, I was happy. message to the managers. (for the La Mesa location). I think ordering pizza by delivery is more popular than eating in. That way, if you do not finish the pizza, you can throw the extra pizza in a ziploc and into the fridge. So, the "dine in experience" has to really be worth it, to the customer. I read the other reviews of the La Mesa RT location. I would like to know if there is going to be changes to the La Mesa location. hire new staff (friendly people tend to be the best) keep the lights on, on the bathroom in fact, turn the lights on, in the dining area. I had not been back in 8 yrs and wow what a difference...BUT the restaurant isn't open for sit down dining, only take out (Covid-19) I tried to order online but it wasn't working so I called in. That's when Cody answered the phone and he was more than helpful. It was my anniversary and I wanted to get the pepperoni on the pizza in the shape of a heart.... I wanted just a small personalized pizza so I asked him what his favorite was and he said barbecue chicken upon looking at the menu barbecue chicken look to be the best but right below it was the vegetarian pizza which I ordered. The pizza was amazing crust was great very flavorful both of our pizzas had a tremendous amount of toppings on it. The side salad was a big enough to be a meal on its own but what was over the top was a customer service when I went in to pick it up. Cody knew that it was me I was so excited for me to see my pizza that I had to open it up and look at it while I was there it perfect! He was so nice! Everyone working was so polite...the owner was there too so I had to let him know how awesome Cody was! I'm sure we will be back. This may have been the best meal on our trip to San Diego! They don't have Round Tables in Arizona, so whenever we go back to San Diego, and are craving pizza, it's usually Round Table. We decided to check out this location for lunch. Oh, what is that you say? They have a buffet every single day from 11:30am-1:30pm, AND it's only $8.95? Shoot! Sign me up! Buffet includes salad bar, unlimited pizza, garlic twists and cinnamon twists for dessert. My first bite into the King Arthur Supreme slice brought back lots of good memories. Round Table has that unique crust, and unique flavor. So damn tasty! They would bring out a new pizza every 15 minutes or so, and they would announce what it was, too. I felt that was a nice touch. You would hear the cook yell out "Pepperoni, coming out" "Hawaiian, coming out". I didn't go full blown carb overload, but I did help myself to about 5 or 6 slices of different pizzas. All of them were delicious! Service was incredible! The lady at the front counter taking our order was super nice and even offered my son a "kids cup" for a drink (even though we didn't pay for one). She also changed all the TV's in the place to the basketball game so I could watch my Boston Celtics! Score! It was a very enjoyable lunch at an incredible price. 3 adults, and 2 kids, with drinks, under $40.00! Round Table pizzas are usually a little $$$ (without a coupon), so for a buffet, the value was awesome! We will definitely return to this Round Table the next time we are in San Diego. It was a Sunday and football day. I decided to try some Roundtable pizza on Black Mountain Road near the 56 fwy. Today was National Pizza day so they offered a free upgrade on stuff crust. So I decided to try it. I placed the order on the phone of a meat lovers stuffed crust and I got an order of twist bread free for being a new Roundtable member. All of this came out to be $30.45 . It's not too bad of a price , but if you want some good pizza that's what you have to pay. When I arrived there the pizza was ready and the woman that helped me was nice. This Roundtable was pretty large if you want to dine in and a few big screen tvs on the wall to watch sports. There was a salad bar too if you enjoy all you can eat salad. I noticed on a brochure that X-large pizzas are 1/2 off regular price on Mondays after 4pm online only carryout or delivery. I will definitely take advantage of that promotion. I must say overall the pizza tasted delicious and the cheese in that stuff crust would just stretch and melt in your mouth. The twisted bread sticks was baked fresh and tasted so soft with a pinch of garlic and butter goodness. I think Roundtable is a little better than Marcos Pizza located in Rancho Bernardo. I avoided Round Table for 5.5 years after my terrible experience at their dinner buffet but I finally decided to give it another try when I saw a Local Flavor deal for half price pizza. My boyfriend and I decided to try two personal pizzas and an order of garlic twists. I chose the chicken and garlic gourmet without the mushrooms and onions and he did a create-your-own with red sauce, mushrooms and olives. Personally, I really liked my pizza. The white sauce had a great flavor and I surprised myself by actually eating the entire personal pizza in one sitting. It was that good! My boyfriend was less impressed with his pizza though. He didn't care for the flavor of the red sauce. While I would give my pizza four stars, he would only give his two. We did, however, both agree that the garlic twists were amazing! 2nd pizza half off is the way to go here, and Thursday is the night to do it- all pints, including craft, are $3.50 each...nice! Still a bit on the expensive side- 2 medium 2 toppings, 6 wings, one unlimited salad bar and two beers came to $55.60 even with the coupon and beer special. I would skip the pan crust- it's a bit bland a weird. Grilled chicken topping was nice. I would also skip the wings. A $6.99 order of six literally got me about 5-1/2 average size wings with plenty of fat and skin. Maybe boneless wings next time...which will likely be a Thursday. read more

We had date night because we found a livingsocial deal. We were able to snag a good deal for the amount of food we got! I had a salad with chicken and buffalo wings with ranch. Both were good and pretty standard. My wings weren't evenly coated but that's okay with me because I'm not too picky. My husband got the smokehouse pizza and it was decent pizza. The service was good and the ambiance was very casual. There's a few game in the back for the kids but nothing too fancy. Round Table Pizza is generally pricier for pizza so I normally wouldn't pick to come here because I like cheap pizza. However, the pizza is a-ok. We came in for dinner on a weeknight. When we walked in there were several families enjoying their dinners. The restaurant has ample seating, several TVs, games for kids and a soda fountain to serve yourself. I ordered the garlic bread (3 sticks) with ranch dressing on the side, and a personal size pizza with pepperoni, sausage, cheese and mushroom (thin crust). The bread sticks needed more garlic and they were a little doughy for my taste. The pizza was average, but definitely filled me up. While I like to broaden my horizons outside of my usual stomping grounds, sometimes I find myself asking, "Why do I bother?" Case in point: this Round Table Pizza location. I had purchased a couple of $5 for $10 vouchers from LivingSocial some time back and they were set to expire this past Friday. So off I went... The first inkling that something may have been off was being told that I could only use one of the 2 vouchers on this visit (meaning that the next time, the remaining one would only be worth $5). The second inkling was during the following exchange: Me: "Okay, I'd like the RT Sandwich." Counter guy: "The RT Pizza?" Me: "No, the RT Sandwich." Counter guy: "Uh, I don't see it on my register." Me (trying desperately not to sound like a rude wiseass): "It's on your menu..." Counter guy (after looking at the menu): "Oh, there it is." Me (resisting the urge not to bang my head on the wall): "..." As I still had some more credit left on the voucher, I also added a side salad along with a drink - and not only were the salad selections paltry, some ice cubes had landed into the Italian dressing (whether by accident or in an attempt to cool it down, I have no idea). Even worse, the salad tasted off; maybe it was due to the mushy cherry tomatoes, or the less-than-fresh lettuce and spinach, or even the weird tasting ranch dressing. If anything, the RT Sandwich actually wasn't that bad - I had ordered it with pepperoni, sausage, and artichoke hearts, and at least they got my order right. Although, I wish the sandwich was a bit bigger and more filling... I'm surprised that this Round Table location is popular with the family crowd, what with the shutoff arcade and pinball machines, the somewhat dingy look to the place, and the aforementioned staff and salad bar problems I encountered. This pizza place has been here forever. I feel that the quality is still the same after returning to this pizza spot after so many years. Friends and relatives enjoy the thin crust pizzas. That way it is easier to taste the toppings. The wings are a good addition to a family or friends meal as well. I usually like the garden delight. But I cannot eat much of it because they do not offer gluten free. It seems the franchise did not develop with the times. However friends and relatives like the smokehouse pizza. Despite loving Round Table Pizza, our family stopped going here because every time we ordered our pizza, it would be made wrong. We order extra sauce on all of our pizzas. When we would pick up our pizza there would be almost no sauce and extra cheese. Every time. Recently, I tried the on-line ordering system. On line, I could add instructions. My first pizza that I ordered on-line was done right! Since then, I would say that 2 out of 3 orders were done right. We will continue to order pizzas from here as long as they are correct. Let down by the staff as our pizza is already an hour late by the delivery time they have given. I live 10 minutes away, I could have gone to pick up a pizza myself at this point.
