I called Round Table and took it back after having to wait another half hour. I was offered a 2 liter coke for my wasted time of me going twice and 1.5 hours of my time. Ive ordered for this location multiple times never had an issue like this before . Pizza was 3 hours late when it stated on the website it would take 60 min. I called, very helpful gentleman stated they where short staffed which I understand. I called again at the 2 hour mark and just asked for an ETA and the same person answer no issues whats so ever and said he would be here shortly. UNTIL a rude young woman with absolutely no costumer service under her belt answered and very rudely said the driver is on his way, but if we're having an issue on where the driver is saying he called me but I never received a call how do I know I'm going to receive this call... she said I don't know ma'am and hung up. The counter staff is clearly under-trained or just disinterested in working there and it shows. There are so many better pizza places in the area. Do yourself a favor and try Porky's or Bluebird. This location has just been getting worse and worse over the years. Super long wait times, wings are barely sauced, seating area is always a mess, customer service is lacking. Most recent event - ordered online to pick-up and confirmed the pizza would be ready in 40 minutes. We waited an hour because we understand how it can be busy and etc. We get to the restaurant and they don't have our order; after a couple minutes of scrambling they find our order receipt and say they'll put it in now, and it'll be another 30 minutes. We didn't pay yet so we decided just to cancel and pick up something else quick. When they found our order receipt they also came back with a couple more in hand, so I have a feeling they missed some other orders as well. I have received a few text messages with deals for this location, possibly trying to get customers back after all these mess ups I've seen in the reviews. 1/2/16: I have to dock a star. I couldn't place an order on New Year's Eve. That was understandable (there were a lot of orders, and this place must have closed early), but something should have been said minutes prior (me and some others left upset). Now arriving for pickup, I'd say staff could take a lil' more lessons in "attentive" cashiering. Terrible Round Table location with unprofessional teenage type staff. You would think making a pizza is pretty simple by just following directions on a receipt, but not at this place. Ordered a large half veggie and half gourmet chicken pizza. After waiting for 20 mins it was finally ready, only to open it and see it was all wrong. The guy making the pizzas thought it was Italian for some reason and decided to put pepperoni on it. Part of the issue is the staff is poorly trained by management, where the front desk girl is overwhelmed while one guy is blasting music on his AirPods and dancing, take out one pizza at a time from the oven. They all hovered around to take a look at the messed up pizza and said sorry, we will make it again for you. No common courtesy for including another item for the mistake, instead they decided to argue with us saying the transaction can't be reversed which was never even asked for by us. The biggest insult was when they offered a free 2 liter with the pizza. If I'm paying for a $35 pizza, why would I want a $2 soda? I consider myself a pizza connoisseur. I have had pizza in Vietnam while I served there in 1969. I've had pizza in Norway above the arctic circle. I've had pizza in Budapest, Hungary; Manila, Philippines; and Kirksville, Missouri. I have had many, many Pizza's in Naples, Italy in CERTIFIED Pizzerias. I have had many, many pizzas here in the San Francisco Bay area. I've Pizza from the large chains and from mom and pop places. Whenever I have a really outstanding Pizza I like to write it up and "share the wealth" as they say. I don't usually write reviews of the large national chains but I will make an exception in this case because, darn it, I like their thin-crust Pizza. They are invariably tasty and their cheese and other toppings are superb. Now I can't speak for their delivery since I usually just pick it up after a phone order or stop by on the way home. I've enjoyed Round Table Pizza since an extra-large combo was $4. This particular location is near where I live so I come here regularly. I don't have any problems with their service and can understand them when they speak Spanish so don't care about that. Sure, they're not necessarily deserving of a 5 and even a 4 could be pushing it (because of some of the other issues mentioned). However, I don't get mad or let a burr get up my butt when they make mistakes or are backed up. We eat at this Round Table location every Thursday night since they have two private meeting rooms and we use them for our weeknight Bible studies. The actual building is old and could certainly use some updates. But their pizza, twists and chicken wings are tasty! My favorite pizza to order is the Gourmet Veggie it has artichokes and a garlic sauce and is oh soooooo good! All the staff has been nothing but accomodating and helpful. Spoke to the manager about the "5 minutes" I was told it would take... 20 minutes later my cold pizza showed up. I called back and spoke to the manager again who told me to "hurry up" with my call. Poor management and scheduling is not a good enough reason for piss poor service. When you KNOW it's going to be a bust day staff a few more drivers and someone else to answer the phones. Another horrible experience here. If you read my first review it was 2 and some change years ago. I was hoping that things were corrected by now. Nope, I was wrong. So I decided to buy a pizza for my family after a long day out, I ordered online, which after I placed my order I thought wouldn't be a great idea, and it promised to be ready in 25 minutes. I placed the order at 6:10 PM. The confirmation said that it would be ready at 6:35 PM. I gave them an extra 10 minutes because it was online and it might have got processed a little late. So I show up 6:45. I get there and it is a mad house, the whole dining area smelled like burned bread. The line was almost out the door. I waited in line patiently, I got up to the counter only to have them tell me, your order is not ready yet. I was given the receipt and kind of hushed to the side. I ordered a salad so I went to get my salad, the lady who helped me, which I think was the manager, disappeared when I approached the counter to ask how much longer for my pizza. I had to flag down the delivery boy to ask where was my pizza, he did not even try to help me he just replied "I don't know", I asked him to check and he did and said it would be coming out shortly. While waiting, I did notice many of the customers saying "Finally!" or "It took long enough". I want to say it was about 7:20 PM, with my family starving at home. I finally get the pizza, but when I get it home, I noticed they had rushed cooking it and the middle of the dough was still very much raw. I do not know what the issue is with this place. The manager who helped me before was the same lady here, so something is not working. I wonder if corporate has tried to fix this place. Round Table is one of my favorite pizza places and this is the closest to my wife's parents house. I don't want to have to go to the next city to buy pizza, but I will if we must and I will have to tell others to avoid this place. I tried to have some the other day...we ordered from the San Lorenzo store after perusing the menu online and picking out a tasty sounding pizza and some garlic bread twists, but 2 1/2 hours later, after calling three times and being told each time that "your pizza just left" we finally canceled the order. I just can't believe how bad the customer service was. Obviously they were lying that the pizza was going out the door each time, and their eventually offering 15% off the price of the order was just insulting and besides...who cares about a discount on an order that never arrives? Terrible customer service and communication skills. We ended up ordering from Porky's Pizza Palace instead and were very happy with that. I really like Round Table Pizza, but this location is just "meh" because the quality of the service is really hit or miss. We normally order a pizza over the phone or online and come in and pick it up. They've gotten something wrong in each of the last three pizza orders - wrong topping, wrong size, etc., and I'm over the hassle of waiting for them to make a new pizza (or just taking the wrong one home and eating that). The last pizza we got, the cheese wasn't even fully melted and there was so much sauce that the toppings were sliding off the crust - this isn't the quality that we expect from Round Table Pizza. One large and one Medium pizza for about $50 bucks and it was delivered warm. I need to find a better pizza place that delivers...

Not sure what has happened to this location but their service has gone down hill. Phoned in an order to pick up and asked if they would honor a coupon I had for 2 medium/2 topping pizzas for $18.99. The lady on the phone told me to just bring the coupon in. When I went in to pick up my order the girl stared at the coupon and said "we don't have this coupon, ours is 2 medium/2 topping pizzas for $29.99". I told her that the person who took my order said to bring the coupon in. She asked another worker and his response was the same. I said I understand what you are saying but they told me to bring in the coupon. I continued to get blank stares from both of them. So I told them I didn't want the order and left. Terrible customer service. I like Round Table but I will not return to this location. Very poorly run. read more
