We ended up stopping by to grab food to go for a late-night dinner after we arrived to our hotel across the street. The menu was a slight pain to read, for whatever reason they didn't show just a regular pep on the menu just the specialty pizzas. The food itself was delicious but holy cow, the prices are ridiculous. We were charged $31 just for a large pepperoni pizza, we didn't even get double meat or anything even the "Dragons Bounty" thing we bought which came with a bunch of sides was only $20. So for one pizza, one of the dragons bounty & one bottle of soda we were charged $61 but we were kind of stuck here because not a lot of spots open at that time so we dealt with it. Inside of this location could use an update or a deep clean.

My son found a 2.5 inch plastic filament in our pizza! Dangerous! He could have had major health problems.

It's just too far when you're hungry and slightly hangry... I did a quick Yelp search and was surprised (and excited!) to find LHL Malatang just under 10 minutes from home! The place wasn't busy at all when we got there, which meant no crowding at the buffet style section. I loved how smooth it was to grab all my favorite toppings without having to wait in line. Only minor letdown? There were only a few slices of beef left, so I opted for lamb instead but it still hit the spot. My bowl ended up being about $26, which honestly felt like a steal considering it was nearly 2 lbs of food. Definitely way more affordable than some other spots I've been to. I went with the mild beef bone broth but my Bestie got the sour spicy beef bone broth and wow, game changer. I kept sneaking sips from his bowl! Next time, that's definitely what I'm getting. Super flavorful and it lingered in the best way. All in all, I'm a fan. With how close it is to home, I can already tell this is going to be my new go to malatang fix. Highly recommend giving it a try if you're in the area and to get their sour beef bone broth!

LHL is located in a giant strip mall near Crunch Fitness so warning that parking might be hectic during peak hours. The inside of the restaurant is super clean and sanitary, with a sanitation(?) cupboard for the bowls and tongs. All the ingredients were super fresh and the employees were constantly refilling any veggies or meats that were low. Their sauce bar is clean and well-stocked, however I did feel that their sesame sauce was watered down. I got the spicy bone broth in hot and I thought it had enough of a kick, but I could've gone spicier! My friend and I also felt that their broth didn't have enough of the richness/depth that we enjoy. I'll give them another visit in a few weeks to see if they work out the few kinks. They're offering 15% off your entire bill until mid May in celebration of their grand opening!

You place your order through a QR code, which makes the process quick and easy. This visit, we ordered the salt and pepper chicken wings, Tidu Sliced Beef Pot, and Tianjin Eggplant. The wings are a must-order here. They're always perfectly fried and crispy on the outside while still staying juicy and tender inside. The Tidu Sliced Beef Pot reminded me of a dry hot pot. It had a great mala flavor with a subtle numbing sensation, and the peanuts added a nice crunch and texture to the dish. The Tianjin Eggplant was simple but delicious, with flavorful pork that paired really well with the soft eggplant. Overall, the food here is comforting and satisfying. It's a place I'll definitely keep coming back to.

Once you flip that coaster to green, the parade of meat begins. At around $80 per person before tax and tip, you'll absolutely get your money's worth. The ambiance was excellent. Live piano music set the mood without being overpowering, the lighting was just right, and there was never an awkward bottleneck at the salad bar. Everything felt well organized, which made the experience surprisingly relaxed for such a busy restaurant at peak dinnertime. Now for the important part: the food. They started us off with their gold foil-wrapped tableside top sirloin. A little gimmicky? Sure. But it was delicious and made for a great benchmark against the rest of the meats. One thing I really appreciated was the lack of "filler meats." I genuinely enjoyed almost every cut that came around. A few were slightly salty, and a couple leaned a bit tough, but overall the quality was consistently high. Ironically the servers walking with the filler stuff were the friendliest of the staff and never pressured you to get them (grilled cheese, pork sausage, chicken, etc) Over the course of the meal I had filet mignon, several varieties of top and bottom sirloin, beef ribs, lamb chops, multiple picanha preparations, and even shrimp. I counted 16 servings of meat--probably somewhere around 2,000 calories if I had to guess. Surprisingly, my favorite item wasn't even the beef, it was the grilled pineapple. Juicy, perfectly glazed, warm, and just sweet enough to reset your palate between heavier cuts. I went back for seconds without hesitation. Hell at the end of dinner, it made me crave pineapple juice. Do not sleep on this. As for the meats, the beef ribs, spicy picanha, and bottom sirloin were the standouts: incredibly tender, flavorful, and worth saving room for. By the end I was so full that dessert wasn't even a consideration. I don't see myself coming here every month, but it's one of those dining experiences everyone should try at least once. If you're celebrating something or just want to spend two hours eating an unreasonable amount of excellent meat, this is the place to do it. 4/5 for food, rounding up for attentive service and fun experience. Would recommend.

I was told the food was amazing but MAYBE it was an off day. The meat felt super inconsistent with taste and quality to which it was cooked. First off, pork ribs had to be the driest pork ribs I've had. The first round of lamp chops were pretty good, second one was dry and weirdly gamey / metallic Season was great though. THE BEEF the picanha and filet mignon was excellent. The sirloin was alright it was pretty chewy. The first rounds of ribeye was top tier, and we asked for medium rare for our last round, that was rare man. Tldr I'll come back try another time.

It's spacious with plenty of seating so would be great for bigger parties too. My bf has a nut allergy so we could only order the andhra chicken curry and the goat curry (which are the same, btw just different meats.) The flavor was truly flavor-ing, and it had just the right amount of kick. I loved the spiciness!! Only note, there were quite a bit of bones in both entrees and I'm taking off a star for this. In the chicken especially, it seemed there were more bones than actual meat which was sad because the chicken was SUPER tasty. Tender and juicy and held the curry just perfect. The naan was also delicious as I prefer a thinner, flakier naan and they delivered! Also you MUST get the mango lassi here, they didn't skimp on the mango and it's the perfect reprieve from the spicy meal Will definitely be back to try their biryanis.
