Only minor letdown? There were only a few slices of beef left, so I opted for lamb instead but it still hit the spot. My bowl ended up being about $26, which honestly felt like a steal considering it was nearly 2 lbs of food. Definitely way more affordable than some other spots I've been to. I went with the mild beef bone broth but my Bestie got the sour spicy beef bone broth and wow, game changer. I kept sneaking sips from his bowl! Next time, that's definitely what I'm getting. Super flavorful and it lingered in the best way. All in all, I'm a fan. With how close it is to home, I can already tell this is going to be my new go to malatang fix. Their sauce bar is clean and well-stocked, however I did feel that their sesame sauce was watered down. I got the spicy bone broth in hot and I thought it had enough of a kick, but I could've gone spicier! My friend and I also felt that their broth didn't have enough of the richness/depth that we enjoy. I'll give them another visit in a few weeks to see if they work out the few kinks. It is light and soothing. Different than the usual hot and sour soup which they had but I skipped. Those were the two items I wanted to talk about in my review as no other Asian buffet had these.
