This is probably one of my favorite lunch spots that is close to my work. Yeah, it's got a sad AI-generated logo that bugs me when I see it, but the pizzas are tasty, so I look past it. There's a good selection of vegetarian and vegan pizzas, not to mention a variety of other items, but I am generally here for pizza. The lunch slice deals are a great value for the Bay Area, and the large pizza and salad deal is also fantastic. I will sometimes get the large pizza and salad deal for lunch (their Arugula Salad is wonderful, and the Pear and Walnut salad is also great) and take most of the pizza to go for dinner with my husband later. Their Cajun fries aren't quite as good as Five Guys, but they're very good and when I go with my coworker we often split an order. I like the Tuscan Mushroom pizza best, but the Berkeley Vegan with the vegan sausage is also really good (as long as you're okay with vegan cheese, which I know some people are not since it has a different texture). I think my husband's favorite is the Greek pizza, and my usual lunch buddy likes the sweet and spicy vegan pizza. The interior hasn't changed since this used to be a Zpizza, but is clean and modern. There are two large TVs that typically have some sports game or other playing on them, so if you are looking for somewhere to eat that lets you keep an eye on the game, this could be a good spot (recently it's been soccer, probably World Cup stuff). Staff is friendly, but I have had some comprehension issues in ordering on occasion, so I tend to favor the ordering kiosk. There's a rewards club thing, but I have yet to successfully enter my reward coupon from it (the kiosk seems to log me out once I enter it...), so your mileage may vary with that. I was feeling like some pizza on this Sunday afternoon so I gave Golden Bay Pizza a try.. I ordered a large Berkeley veggie Vegan. The toppings were the right amount on this pizza. It had vegan cheese, bell peppers, tomatoes, red onions, zucchini, mushrooms, vegan sausage and was thin crust. I took it to go. It only took about 15 minutes for my order. The pineapple and jalapeno topping combo is not something I would have chosen on my own but it was surprisingly good. Ordered two pizzas and the cheesy garlic bread. Butter paneer pizza needed a little more flavor or salt, the paneer didn't taste like anything. The pineapple pepperoni pizza was pretty spicy with the chili they have on it. The cheesy garlic bread is just the bread they use for their sandwiches, nothing too amazing. Service was a little slow as the wait time for our food was longer than advertised. The store was pretty empty for dinner time on a Sunday night. read more

Our mushroom pizza and cheese bread were just okay. Maybe I need to try different items from their menu next time. The pizza was overwhelmingly sweet, I think because of the caramelized onions on top. However I felt that the sweetness was waaaay stronger than any of the savory flavors, almost as if they added sugar to it. I'm sad to say that the dough was also quite bland. I do appreciate that they packed paper plates, parmesan, and chili flakes in our delivery order, but I wish they put a sealing sticker or something tamper proof on the boxes as well. read more

Hispanic male that took our order was not welcoming & seemed bothered with us @ 730pm. We ordered 1 medium pizza, 1/2 butter chicken & grilled garlic chicken and a small order of Polynesian wings, a fountain soda & water. The place had 3 tables of 1-4 people, and 1 person waiting on his to go order. The cook brought our order out & plates. When I went to the front & asked for ranch, he again seemed bothered. The place closes at 9p, around 755p we were the only ones there & he started to mop while we were eating...the smell of the cleaning product while eating was disgusting. It's not a big place so he could've waited until we were almost finished. We took the pizza & wings & left. BTW the flavor of the butter chicken was weird and the grilled garlic chicken was way too salty. Gave it away...Will not be back. read more

Amazing pizzas at very affordable pricing and very fresh and quality ingredients used. Now who can beat that combination during these inflation times that too in Bay Area. We tried vegan pizza, Mexican and pepperoni pizza. I am no vegan but heard great things about this pizza from a friend so wanted to try. Really good pizza and they use daiya cheese as vegan substitute for chesse. My daughters enjoyed the pepperoni pizza and between 2 of them they finished a small pizza. Btw, they offer only 3 sizes: small, large and X-Large and small was more like a medium. For $11-13 for a smalll pizza with so many toppings, they were really a steal. The order was also made ready in 15 minutes after placing the order so the service is quick too. The crust was perfect think crust like NY style. So this is truly a review that I HATE to write "why?" Read on. Today I really felt like eating Pizza so I searched Yelp once again. I came across Zpizza in my bookmarks. As I was reading reviews and looking at all the great photos of Pizza I decided it was worth a 12 mile Trek. When we arrived I was greeted by a person behind the counter "super nice guy" he asked if I had questions and after I ordered we continued in conversation about his business and the effect that COVID has had on it. I ordered an Xtra large 1/2 roasted chicken and garlic and 1/2 combo with white sauce throughout, and 2 fountain drinks. "Fountain drinks come with free refills" "Pro tip" if this is your first check in, you get 20% off when you use your Yelp app. After about 15 minutes the gentleman brought out our Pie "see pictures" I got to say when I opened the box that the pie looked freaking amazing. THE RUN DOWN #1. Great service and salt of the Earth people working here. 5 stars #2. Price point IMO is on point. 5 stars #3. Toppings ah plenty 4 stars #4. Thin crust: perfectly cooked and hands down the best thin crust I've had, I mean this crust is double G good! 5 stars++ #5. Quality of ingredients 3 stars #6. FLAVOR unfortunately here's where the pie fell short. I "really really" wanted this pie to taste good but unfortunately it fell flat in taste, seriously, I was thinking maybe I should get a Covid test but every now and again I would get a bite of flavor otherwise it was very bland. This is some damn fine pizza. I'm currently living in a motel out in the middle of nowhere in Sunnyvale. Places to eat are practically non-existent. So when I drove by Zpizza three weeks ago my heart did a little dance of joy. I've been there twice since. The first time I got a large American X Works, sub pineapple for tomatoes because ... mmm, pineapple. It was excellent. I think of it as a "Farmer's Market" pizza, everything is super fresh and there's not a lot of cheese so you can really taste the various toppings. The crust is thin but chewy so you don't tear off the roof of your mouth eating it. Last night I ordered the Ham & Pineapple because ... mmm, pineapple. This was heavier on the cheese but just as delicious. Zpizza is right on my way home so both times I stopped in to order. My pizza was ready in less than 15 minutes. The guys that work here are really nice. Price wise, I think their prices are actually less than places like Mountain Mike's. Pro tip: this pizza tastes even better the next day. I always order half and half so I can try all the different flavours. The great thing is you place an order and in about 15-20 minutes your order is ready. I've ordered from this place several times and always had quick good service. The salads they offer are a good balance to your pizza. The salads are always fresh and taste great! I love the arugula salad with avocado! The pizza itself always taste fresh and flavourful! From meat options to the vegetarian options all taste so good! Solid pizza place! Recently had the Small Butter Chicken Pizza with a Cauliflower Crust and it was so goooooddd. It came with 6 pieces and I had enough leftover for a second meal. The butter chicken sauce is very mild and doesn't overpower the pizza. They are very generous on the toppings. The cauliflower crust was crispy and chewy. I have always had cauliflower crust frozen from either Costco and Trader Joe's so having it at an actual place was amazing! I haven't had the regular crust here, but I will be back for more. I have also done some research and they also have Tap Rooms at some locations - can't wait to try! **This place is good if you know someone who doesn't like vegetables. This was my first time trying their pizza. This was a delivery order. I bought the carnivore and veggie. Overall was pretty good! Crust wasn't soggy, toppings and sauce were just the right amount. I really liked the veggie pizza the most and will order that again. I gave this place 4 because my delivery driver was waiting a bit to pick it up. But I'm patient so it was over 1hr and a few minutes no big deal. However, I noticed Yelps health score for this restaurant was 75/100 with 8 violations since Sept 2022 . Well its a day after and I'm still standing lol! I hope zPizza gets this corrected because I like their pizza. I love that z pizza carries a variety of scrumptious savory pizzas; from a "white cheese mushroom pizza down to an Indian butter chicken pizza". They offer a variety of diet-catered pizzas, you can get a cauliflower crust pizza, or a gluten-free pizza crust. Out of all of the pizzas I've had there so far, I highly recommend the " Tuscan Mushroom" it's soo good!
