Also, tried their Butter Chicken Pizza with rich, creamy makhani (tomato-based) sauce and generous amounts of spiced chicken breast. The flavors and toppings were on-point but not feeling the crust. Unfortunately, like many of desi pizza shops, I find the crust has a commercial/industrial quality to it. The "thin" crust was thicker than my preference and a tad on the doughy side. For 8 people, we ordered one large and one medium pizza both split with 2 flavors, which was enough for all of us. We got the Malai Paneer, Tandoori Chicken, Achari Gobhi, and Chicken Tikka. The flavors were all pretty solid, but some of the spices on them were a little too similar so we lacked a little variety. All of it turned out to be $10 each, which isn't awful. We ordered take out and it was ready within 25-30 min on the 4th of July. The staff seemed nice, although we didn't really have much of an interaction being we were there for pick up. When we walked in there was no one inside, but I assume that's because of the holiday. This location is in a plaza so there's plenty of parking, although it can get a little hectic during the busy hours. Overall, the pizza flavors were on point with a good amount of toppings and crispy crust. We were left feeling stuffed and still had some leftover for a late night snack afterwards. I placed my order over the phone, and when I went in to pick it up, the staff member was very angry. His hands and apron were quite dirty, which was concerning. He repeatedly informed me that it would take much longer to prepare my order because they were busy. Inside, I heard screaming and loud noises, which added to the chaotic atmosphere. The professionalism of the staff was lacking, and the overall cleanliness of the place was disappointing. Through the black curtain separating the kitchen from the front area, I noticed another employee working without gloves, which is definitely unhygienic. TLDR: DO NOT TIP WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD AT THIS LOCATION. Please tip the workers in cash as I believe the owner allegedly might be commiting wage theft. I love Tandoori Pizza and come here often for dinner. The staff are very nice and the pizza is great quality! However, I learned that the digital tips allegedly do not go to the staff - instead, all of it goes to the owner. As a result, please do not tip using the small digital screen when paying with credit card. Only tip in cash so the staff receive it for certain. Going to add a disclaimer that "this is all alleged and my opinion," but regardless of whether or not this is true, it's probably still good to play it safe and instead bring some cash to tip to ensure the staff receive it. The staff here are amazing and deserve to be paid fairly. Tandoori Pizza is LUCKY to have any of their staff, so to the owners: please pay them what they are fully owed if you are not already. You can say what you want, but if there's no proof, I will never believe you are. UPDATE: In response to the manager's reply below, yes I have spoken with a staff member and that is the reason I created this review. I learned this because I took the time to speak with them because they seemed conflicted. I don't know whether it's true or not, but I believe them and will never tip here using card again. I got a large pizza half malai and half chilli paneer and it was so good I usually prefer spicy but surprisingly the malai paneer won in my eyes despite it being mild in spice level but the creaminess of the sauce made up for it! The ingredients were really fresh and quality was superb. Went on a friday to this newly opened pizza place in Sunnyvale. It seemed very slow for them but the indian taste on a pizza really sounded amazing. I tried the tandoori pizza & i just loved it .The crust was crisp with the cheesey layering . The portion of the chicken on the top was in much quantity. So got more than enough protein . The fresh chillies & spring onions made the taste even better. The service was quick. The guy in the front was very willing to take the feedback and was super customer friendly. They have got a separate space at the back to host small gatherings as well. Seems like a good spot for a game night or to throw a small party.
