Round Table is my favorite pizza chain, but it's always so hit or miss depending on the location. We've lived in Woodland for about a year and decided to finally give this location a chance. I ordered my pizza at 3:25pm for a 5pm pick up so my husband could grab it on his way home from work. I ordered a combo deal of a 1 topping pizza, 6 garlic twists and a 2 liter Coke. Husband shows up at 5pm to pick up the order and it's not done. In fact, it was just going in the oven. So, he's currently sitting in the lobby waiting for our order that should've been done 20 minutes ago. NEVER ORDERING AGAIN! When I first moved to woodland it was actually pretty good. A bit overpriced but with coupons it was fine. Since the pandemic (which you would think restaurants would be putting out good quality food so you return) we have had terrible experiences. We ordered pizza, salad and bread the other night. The pizza was skimpy, the salad was old and brown and the garlic bread tasted as if it had been microwaved. We called and complained and they took the price down from the salad and that was it. This evening, I ordered the "double play" pizza with light cheese online from Round Table for delivery. I thought I only selected light cheese, but when the pizza arrived it had red sauce and light cheese only (no pepperoni). ‍ The delivery person was very nice and said he'd take it back and bring me a new pizza. I said no because I was embarrassed, but I did ask if they could just add the pepperoni and put it back in the oven for a few minutes. We were driving from Fort Brag and we stopped by to get some lunch. We love doing the buffet. We were so surprised that they had so little choices. They only had 4 pizzas and 2 breadstick options with the place full of people and everyone around was doing the buffet option. We decided to stay because our 6 year old wanted to use their restroom and she was too tired of sitting around in the car. This place was packed with people. The lettuce did not look fresh. Our 6 year bit into her pepperoni pizza but could not eat it because it was so stiff. Then our 15 year old tried it but could not eat it because it was way too stiff. You have to come in right when they take out their pizza because thats when the pizza tastes the best. When we went to get the fresh pizza we saw that some of the pepperoni pizzas did not even have any pepperoni on it. I'm writing this review mostly because they've gotten a lot of bad reviews but we had a pretty awesome experience. Visiting old friends in Woodland, we decided to be lazy and order out. We ordered a special that they were advertising, a pepperoni and parmesan pizza and twisted garlic sticks. Both were pretty amazing. I could see where people haven't liked the experience if they ate in, since the dining room does look kind of old and the arcade games look like they have been there since the 90's, but the quality of our food for takeout was very good. read more

I am visiting from out of town and have missed having Round Table pizza. Took my mom here today for the lunch buffet. They were Amazing!!! The pizzas were coming out one after another keeping the buffet full. The salad bar was fresh and they were refilling it as fast as they could. They only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars was even though the staff...all four of them were working continuously....they should have more staff during that time of day. Ordered a pizza with NO MEAT! I repeated my order many times to make sure they got it. After waiting for 2 hours for delivery they brought me a pizza with chicken on it. When I called to have them fix it, I was told "chicken isn't meat". Well they just lost a customer who orders monthly. Ordered round table online for pick up, tried to pay online with my giftcard but it wouldn't work, so I said I'd pay in store. Went in after a 20 minute wait (that wasn't bad!) and they said their giftcard machine wasn't working. I wasn't willing to pay $60 for 2 xl pizzas (Hawaiian & triple pepperoni - in Davis, the same order costs $70). They didn't offer to help me get the online payment to work or to help me in any other way, just offered to cancel the order. Have eaten here a couple times and it was ok, but this was the first time ordering online for carry out. Never again. Ordered a pizza using the app and paid with PayPal. When my kids showed up at the restaurant to pick up the order the payment hadn't processed and they made them pay an additional $50 because they didn't see the transaction on top of the $50 I paid using the app. It was supposed to be picked up at 6:11 but didn't get the pizza until 6:45 due to the employees not knowing how to process the PayPal transaction. Used to be I was told a hour to a hour and a half and it arrived in under an hour. Ordered a pizza on the way home from Davis Friday night and was told it was a two hour wait. Okay. Two hours and ten minutes later no pizza. Called to find out where it was and was told it was ten minutes out. Never arrived. I am done with this place. The customer service at this location is absolute garbage. Ordered my pizza online at 5:43PM...invoice emailed to me says to expect pizza by 6:28PM. Nothing til I finally get mad and call at 7:30PM only to find out that it hadn't even been made yet and was going to be another 1 1/2 hours. I was given some lame excuses by the person who answered the phone, who just didn't care. Didn't offer to get it to me in a hurry or give me a discount. So I know there are fantastic local pizza places in the world, but I actually like the pizza at Round Table. For me it is by far the tastiest large pizza chain out there. The customer service at this location, however, is one of the worst I've ever experienced at any business, and not just once, but on pretty much every single occasion. We always pick up our order to-go, and it is astonishing how much bad customer service they can squeeze into such a small window of time. I have stood at a register and watched/listened to employees cuss, flirt, punch each other, text, etc. when all I want to do is pick up my pizza and go! We have had to remind them to include parts of our order (which are listed on the receipt!) I have literally watched as 3 employees stood behind the counter doing nothing but gossiping and have one finally stop for a moment in their epically important conversation to tell me "he" will be here in a minute to help me, pointing to an employee who is sitting at a table texting. This place is about a minute from our house and we would go much more often if they could get it together, but we just have such a hard time giving our business to a place that clearly puts no value on customer service and puts no effort into training their staff, or at the very least holding them accountable for doing their job. Went to what used to be our favorite pizza place until this evening. We ordered they brought out our pitcher of bee, and were told the pizza would be put in 15 minutes. We drank 1/2 pitcher of beer watched another couple get their pizza and they came in after us so went up and asked where ours was and they had no idea. They pulled one out of the warmer and offered it to us saying they didn't know who ordered it. We refused the stale pizza l, got our money back and left! The last two times I have ordered a pizza when I picked up the pizza's were not cooked all the way. The middle of the pizza was moist and not cooked all the way. Generally, my opinion has been that RT is one of the better pizzas out there. However, I think after my last delivery that I got, I don't think I will be continuing to get pizza from here. The quality it seems has become inconsistent for a while and continuing to deteriorate, the last pizza I ordered was not great at all and was missing toppings (the missing toppings, really....). I didn't bother dealing with it this time because I didn't want to wait another 45 minutes for a replacement pizza and with what the quality of it was, I think I'm done. Especially for how expensive RT is, this is very disappointing. The people who have delivered have generally been nice, the girl who delivered this one was nice, and a few months back they went out of their way to get a couple of pizzas delivered to my workplace shortly after 11AM. They have generally been good about delivering in less than 45 minutes. I think we will get delivery from Steve's from now on, they deliver and have had, so far, consistently good quality. Helpful hint: Pizza Guys a few years ago seemed to start going cheap on their ingredients and quality (I thought they used to be pretty good) and I can probably count on one hand how many times I've had Pizza Guys since. If you want to retain loyal customers and you are offering quality food, then maybe if it ain't broke then don't fix it. I just have low tolerance for low quality and it seems this wouldn't be a wise business practice to continue. People are generally willing to fork out money if it is good. read more
