I only took a few pics because I was too involved watching the Packers game and chatting with my niece and her friends. It was as loud and raucous while the game was on, but cleared out pretty quickly afterward. I assume it was because the Packers didn't win, however, the hosts were friendly and brought food around for everyone to sample and everyone was having a great time. The Ladder House was clean and had all the trappings of being a great, fun place to meet and enjoy a drink with friends. They have a lot of TV's so you can see the game from almost every angle. The steak was cooked perfectly--tender, flavorful, and exactly what you want when you order a great steak. The haddock was just as impressive--fresh, delicious, and cooked perfectly. Both meals were outstanding. But what really made the night was the staff. Manager Darcie was phenomenal--friendly, attentive, and clearly runs a great operation. You can tell she genuinely cares about the customers and the experience they're having. Blaze was absolutely hustling as the barback and deserves some recognition. That guy was moving nonstop and helping keep everything running smoothly. Bella behind the bar was awesome--great personality, attentive, funny, and made us feel right at home. That's the kind of bartender who turns a good dinner into a great night. And I've gotta mention Scott too. Cool guy, great sense of humor, and added to the fun atmosphere. Great food, great drinks, great people, and a staff that actually seems to enjoy taking care of their customers. The Outpost absolutely knocked it out of the park. We'll definitely be back. It's the first time I've had a French dip where I actually wanted to dip it in the side of au jus to give it a flavor bump. The real gem is Tanner's amazing selection of sides to choose from - you can swap in a twice baked potato, kettle chips with French onion dip, steamed broccoli, grilled asparagus or potato salad!
