After a not so pleasant experience at another location, I decided to give the brand another shot. I took my daughter to get some new shoes and decided to stop by to get my tragus pierced. The last time I tried to get it pierced it was unsuccessful because they could not get the jewelry in for reasons that were not clearly explained. Nurse Catherine greeted and engaged with me as soon as I got in, she was friendly, kind, and helped eased my anxiety. I asked her to check my anatomy to ensure that my tragus could indeed be pierced, she said it did and guided me through jewelry process and explained which jewelry would work best with the piercing location. Nurse Catherine was very detailed and explained the cleaning process and piercing process very thoroughly. She was quick and efficient and it was a totally different experience than I had my first time. The pain was very minimal, a 1/10 if that and she was done with the piercing in a manner of seconds. I am so happy that I decided to come back to Rowan again, and I will be seeing her in the DTS location for future piercings. read more

Nurse Polly was amazing with my two girls (ages 2 and 5). I highly recommend getting her if you decide to get a piercing here. The only negative is the wait time. Even with an appointment, we still had to wait. There seemed to be no organization nor structure. I checked in and they said wait to be called. We saw person after person getting their piercing. I had to go up to a different person at the counter for the second time. That person took my information and added me to the line. I was about to leave if I wasn't called next, but fortunately, we were. I was so happy they called my name because I love how the piercings came out. My 5-year old daughter was super brave and didn't even cry. My 2-year old, on the hand, did cry a little, which was expected. After being bribed with a lollipop, bracelet, and sticker, she stopped. And Nurse Polly even gave each of my girls a Certificate of Bravery. read more

Finally got our 2 year olds ears pierced. After all this time we decided to go with this spot. I wasn't too excited about the gun being the only option, but it turned out great. They were able to have two nurses each take an ear and it was done in one clean synchronized click. They look great, and healed perfectly. Took my 5 month daughter in 3 weeks ago. They were so welcoming and quick to greet you. We came as a walk in to look at the earrings and ended up getting her pierced. Made a quick appointment and filled out the waiver online. Erin was the nurse who pierced my daughter's ears. She was kind and easy to work with. She tired as much as possible to get my daughter's marking where to pierce aligned. Took the left ear 3 times. I did notice after the first initial pierce the left ear looked higher. After 2 weeks it was still looking like that. When I happen to be at the district at green valley ranch I popped in the Rowan there and they did tell me it's higher. Turns out the left ear was pierced at an angle so it made that appearance and maybe a millimeter higher. Totally fine, it's hard to get those babies pierced. You just simply pull out the earring and they can re-pierce it for free when it's healed and no red or swollen. I did that at the District location a week later but it only took 2 days to close and heal. I can definitely say tho the hand gun they use at Rowan is better than Claire's. Because my daughter's ears healed nicely within days it looked totally fine. My sister that got her 5 month old pierced at Claire's a month before ours were still not healing and kind of crusty. She had to buy a saline type rinse on Amazon to help her heal. The spray you buy for aftercare at Rowan works great! read more

I came here with my daughter as a walk-in. She wanted to get her ears pierced, and she was really excited to do so. The place is very inviting, bright and fun. The employees were really nice and they had a wide variety of jewelry to choose from. They were able to numb the area upon request and she did not cry, which was the most surprising part of this experience. Her ears were never red and it's been a week now. Amazing experience! We were at DTS eating dinner and my 7yo decided she was ready to get her ears pierced (she was too scared during her first attempt at the Henderson location). Such a great experience here in Summerlin. The nurses are SO nice and made my daughter feel at ease (even did a little dance with her to loosen her nerves). I appreciated that the nurse took her time, making sure to mark the holes evenly. When my daughter started crying before they pierced, they backed off and let her have a breather. When she was ready they went in and voila! pierced ears. They all gave her big high fives and told her how brave she was. They use a device that doesn't damage the ear like other piercing places (i.e. Claire's) and everything is sterile. Piercings are done by registered nurses, which is great. Rowan is on the pricier side but well worth it! Highly recommend! read more

I would have to say the over all experience was good. Here is the reason I am giving three star. The total when we were done was 130. That included the piercing, earrings, cleanser, and "two nurse" service. Now, they were really nice. Don't get me wrong. The place was clean and sanitized. They did a good job with attempting to calm my child. Now, we didn't know we were getting charged extra for the two nurse piercing. My husband and I were super shocked. If we would have known that there was a charge from the beginning, we would not had requested that service. I think they should let their customers know up front that a "two nurse" piercing is an additional charge. Also, I take hygiene seriously. As my baby (5 year old child ) was getting ready to get her ears pierced. Yes, my baby.. anyways... let me continue. A customer walked in with a dog. The employee asked if it was a service dog. The customer said yes. She didn't check to see if the animal was really a service dog. I didn't like that at all. I have a cat and a dog. So I am a animal lover and I get it. However, in a place that's doing any type of procedure; it's best to leave animals out. Unless they themselves are being operated on. I wish she would have stood her ground, had the customer show proof of service animal or the animal would have to wait outside with the owner who was walking the dog. Just to ensure nothing goes wrong. That is the most I have ever paid for a piercing. read more

I waited about 2 months post piercing to write a review. I got my third lobe piercings done in November. While I liked my piercer, and the concept of the store is great, I feel ripped off. I was ok with the prices before I went, but the pricing for the jewelry feels inflated. The small ones I got are fine but expensive for what they are. That aside I wasn't told until post appointment that I'd have to come back for a post change and that would be an additional $50. I already paid almost $300 and this felt like I was getting nickel and dimed. A few weeks into my piercing the posts were popping out and I truly did not want to pay another $50 plus tip. When I changed them out the earrings were bent as all hell and basically unusable so that's $140 down the drain (almost $200 if you count the posts I was supposed to downsize to). I'm extremely disappointed. For my next piercings I'll find another reputable piercer for a more reasonable price. Just beware, if you go here, be prepared to pay a lot. If you're ok with that then you'll probably like it, but almost $400 for piercings makes me upset I paid this much for them. read more
