I was in town visiting and looking for a place to eat. Found this place while driving into town and decided to eat here. The service was fast but the food was horrible. It was so bad that I couldn't finish after one bite. We ordered the fish and chips and BBQ nachos. The fish was so greasy and rubbery that I didn't feel safe eating it. The fries were ok but a bit salty. And the nachos had way too much BBQ sauce on them and more chips than toppings. Needless to say, it was $30 wasted and we ended up eating at McDonalds afterwards to satisfy our hunger. read more

We had a very bad experience at this place. Two things were added to my bill that shouldn't have been on there, and when I pointed it out to our waitress, she got an attitude with me because she had to fix it. I also left my yeti on the table and when I went back ten minutes later to get it I was told it wasn't there. The food was okay but the service was terrible. read more

I was a little skeptical to try this place due to the ratings but I was pleasantly surprised! I was greeted upon arrival, seated quickly, and served by a delightful waitress. I was hungry for chicken strips and none of my usual haunts were open on a Monday so I gave them a shot. The chicken strips were real tenders in a yummy batter served with fresh cut fries and a side of gravy as I had requested. Food came out hot and fresh and service was quick enough I was able to eat on my lunch break and still have time to take my car for a wash before my break was over. I will definitely be back. Staff was courteous, stayed socially distanced but attentive, and everyone wore masks until seated. Staff wore masks 100% of the time. I didn't have to wait for my check and when I requested a to go box she returned promptly with it and my check. This place is very popular & they are peddling as fast as they can w/greatly reduced staff. There was 2 of us & were told 25 minutes wait. We got drinks from the bar & waited 20 minutes sitting down at the wait stand. Waited on immediately & waitress was very friendly & knew her stuff. This was the worst dining experience I've ever had! 1. My pulled pork sandwich had a hair in it (I'm pretty sure it was a pubic/body hair and the follicle was still attached!) 2. The baked potato had an jalapeño in it 3. The other baked potato only came with 2 bacon bits even though we ordered extra 4. We ordered the steak very well done and it was extremely rare. When we asked them to fix it, they waited about 20 minutes before they came and got it to take it back to the kitchen. And it was still pink. 5. The $10 onion rings were a very, very small serving size 6. My French fries were still frozen in the middle 7. The hush puppies were literally burned black 8. The waitress walked past us 3 or 4 times before we had to get her attention for refills 9. She left trash/old food on the table when we politely asked her to take it away 10. Half of the fried okra was slimy inside 11. I had to ask to see the manager to complain as politely as I possibly could, and she didn't really act interested in helping us. I had to ask her to take off the hairy sandwich and see if she could comp us for the rest of the poor service, but eventually she did. We dined here 2 times in almost 7 years and I'm quickly reminded why it was so long in between. We were greeted promptly, seated and had drinks within the first 3 minutes of arriving. We started off with some Beaver Balls which were good, but seemed a little over cooked. My husband and I both ordered sandwiches and upgraded to their homemade fries. Lunch was served and all tasted well, but didn't stand out from any other restaurant. Where we had issues was with the running mouths of other wait staff. Griping, complaining and mocking other patrons because of requests. And it wasn't like they were quiet about it. Free advice: if you don't like you job, find something else. Preferably where you're not dealing with customers face-to-face. 3 stars solely for the timely manner we were served and the temp of our food. That outweighed service by a long shot. We went here twice.. sort of.. First time for the main restaurant for a wedding party that they catered. Honestly its what you expect for an event like that.. I visit Eureka Springs a couple times a year when visiting my nearby parents. We usually stop at the Rowdy Beaver because it has always been a group favorite and we like their t-shirts. I eaten there more then a a half a dozen times in the past. Our visit last week will most likely be our last. We had a party of six. The waiter added a 18% gratuity to check receipt. My receipt for three of the meals had the 18% tip charged twice. One of the other guys in the party had an 18% tip charged three times. While I usually tip well over 20% with good service, a mandatory tip of 18% for a party of six seems ridiculous. The waiter said the over-charges were an accident and corrected them, but it should have been obvious to him on the receipts. He did not tell us when he seated us of the mandatory tip, nor did anyone in the party see it on the menu. The waiter did not tell us the tip was already added when he handed us the receipts. Very disappointing, dishonest, and probably why there was a real estate sign out front. read more

It's such a cool bar; it reminds me of a bar in Alaska; trendy, all locals & tourists hang out; the music ranges from country, classic rock, modern rock & even some coffeehouse acoustics play here. Well I hate to do this but the service in place is really, really bad. Which is too bad because the food was pretty good. We had to wait an hour for a table and when we got in 60% of the tables were empty. Then 30 min for drinks and 90 min to get food for half the table. I was done with my food by the time the other half of the food showed up. Then the wait for the ticket was an eternity. We could not see but one occupied table in our area. When we left there was probably 20 people still waiting for a table and now 80% of the tables were empty. One person of our group heard the manager yelling at waitstaff hollered "your fired" to someone. Sounds like a management issue. If these guys can fix their service then they have a winner because food was great. read more

Husband and I stopped here for a quick bite while traveling to Branson. Not many places open during the winter, so we chose Rowdy Beaver. We had the pulled pork nachos and garlic Parmesan wings. Service was quick and food was brought out timely and warm. Nachos were tasty. Wings were tasty although the garlic Parmesan sauce was just poured on top of the wings. I'm used to wings tossed in sauce, so this was a bit different presentation. Mist of the sauce had to be scooped off because it was so thick. Wings were good and tasty despite the sauce issue. Service was friendly and I would recommend this place to those visiting the Eureka Springs area. read more

I strongly suggest you snap a photo if the special board when you walk in. We ordered the Special...12oz Prime Rib...19.99 with 2 sides. We had lots if discusion with waitress about 3 of us were going to have 19.99 special. Asked what sides we ordered baked potatoe and fried okra. She asked if we wanted potatoe loaded and told us what came on it....we said yes. The food was great ....BUT....when the bill came the 12oz prime rib special was now 23.99 and the baked potatoe was 1.99. So we each had to pay 6.00 additional for each meal. When we went to the lobby to read the board it was obvious they had erased it and wrote 23.99...which was the regular price on the menu so when we asked why it was the special if thats the regular price. She said because it's Saturday. Such a bizarre answer. Be very carefull if you dine here what started out as a nice dining experience turned into a sham of a deal. read more

I want to start off this review by saying the food was great!! My husband and I had gotten into town last night at 9pm and hadn't had dinner yet. We stopped by the rowdy beaver, and the front worker asked us if we wanted to be seated at the bar, we said no we just were hungry. She looked at us a second as if it was a big problem. She left to get approval, and came back to seat us. Our actual waitress was working her first day, so nothing against her, but her trainer was quite rude. We asked weather she would suggest the cheese curds over the beaver balls. She seemed bothered and rushed and explained what they were, and said "balls or curds?, balls or curds?" We ate and were ready to leave, we did not feel welcomed here. We felt we were a problem, even though the dining part didn't close until 10. If the staff was more friendly this place would deserve 5 stars. read more

We sat for thirty minutes before someone came to take an order, even though we went to ask for a server. Server never came back for refills until food came out. Some drink orders were forgotten. Side condiments were forgotten. Just an all around terrible experience. I would have left, but we were in a group (7) who had more patience than I.
