Bartender let us know the waitress would be right over... after 4 more tables sat, 20 minutes later, and taking 3 of those tables orders, she came by. Poor attitude "I'm here so y'all can torture me". Dead-faced. When attempting to order, she snapped about being out of several things and to "deal with it". I Noted to not return or recommend for future patronizing on the strip. Food is decent, but not worth the subpar service. The place is going downhill quick. read more

I always walked by this place and never stopped. My friends finally took me to go eat here. The food was really good. I had the nachos and their burger. So good. The service was also very pleasant. Always checking up on us to see if we needed anything. Especially because it was on a hot day, drinks were full and everything was good, so it made the atmosphere great. read more

I've been to Roy G's twice now after church services and have enjoyed both visits. Atmosphere: Both times we sat in the covered patio, it got very warm out there, the shutters were broke and they couldn't open them. Today they had two fans, somewhat helpful. Service: Both visits we had great service, friendly servers, today was Jeffrey and he was polite, cheerful and pleasant. Food: First visit, mushroom burger, very good. Today I did the carnitas Benedict, very good. We also did the Queso and chips which were excellent. Also did the Mimosa which were very good. I'd recommend this place. read more

Solid, solid 4 stars! Highly recommend.,, This is our go to place for a solid brunch and mimosas with a smile on the weekends. Tori is AWESOME! Great personality and always makes the hubs and I feel welcome. They are very serious about capacity so be prepared to eat/drink outside in the interim if they are full (and they often are so please be patient - it's worth it)! French toast Sammy is a employee creation that won't disappoint. And don't get me started about the Roy-al burger...I wanted to hate those thin, crispy patties but I just can't. They are so tasty!! If you are a fry fan. Come here...thin, crispy and flavorful. It's just the two of us so we typically eat at the very limited seating in the bar area but the real treat is the covered patio seating to be honest. If we weren't new to the area, that's where you'll find us, toasting to good health with friends. read more

This place just opened and we wanted to check it out. First off, Helen took care of us, and she was awesome!! She got to us quickly, was really friendly and checked in with us to make sure we didn't need anything. All of our food was great and came out hot. We started with the fried mushrooms, and they were great. We followed up with burgers and chicken sandwiches, and they were excellent as well. Roy G's will be remembered for their bar though. They make excellent drinks and shots at great prices. We'll be back for more. read more

I've been going here since they opened. The food is always good and well priced. My review today has to with customer service and making every guest feel welcome and valued no matter how much or how little is spent. This afternoon I came in by myself for lunch and found a small table near the bar. It was soon evident that my server was more interested in the tables with multiple cute guys than engaging with someone older and justa party of one. Once my order was taken, I was never spoken to until I was almost finished and the server walked by and asked "How's that tastin'?" all without breaking stride. Once finished and pushed the tray back...an obvious sign that any diner knows, signals you're ready to leave. I decided to time this part of my experience. Twelve minutes, watching my server walk back and forth, flirt, laugh and talk with other servers until the tablet was brought with my bill. I still tipped 20%. Probably my bad for rewarding that sort of behavior. I worked for decades in hospitality on the corporate level and in college I was a server and bartender, so I know what good service looks like. Next time, I'll come with friends and perhaps run up a larger tab. I'll try to avoid this server's station, though. If alone, I'll sit at the bar as usual. The service there is always far better and more engaging. read more

My husband and I visiting from Ft Lauderdale visited the gayborhood here in Dallas and heard from several people we conversed with that for quick no frills good food that this be a good spot. We ended up there around 9:30 pm after Happy Hour(s) out. We both were met with HAPPY staff with our drink order in about two minutes..wow...nice. We decided on a grilled chicken texas pesto mozzarella caprese sandwich on sour dough grilled bread. Mouth watering delish. We took a side salad instead of the fries or chips very fresh as well. It was okay. The food was good. It think I got the warning like I always do about a level of spiciness to the food. And as always, i was disappointed because it wasn't as spicy hot as the servers warned. I trusted that the spicy level would be way to hot for me. A conversation with the ex, "I'm Mexican and I like spicy food. You like food that burns your mouth!" Ehh, i always go for the highest level of spice, and usually servers shake their head and shake their palms at me indicating it would be way too spicy. But too spicy is never too spicy! read more

After a long day I decided to stop here and get a late lunch. There were only three other people in the restaurant. I love this restaurant because I can walk there and the food is great. As I waited for my food, a server turned the music up so loud I couldn't even think. I looked his way and shook my head no. It didn't change anything. I told him I needed to take my food to go as a result. He told me it was the manager's standard volume. Most places haven't recovered from the pandemic and I was shocked at how I was treated. But unfortunately the some of the staff is willing to work with to pull up one extra chair inside on a cold night...so they send you out side to eat with 2 Broken heaters. I did adore my first two experiences here for both food, beverage. That changed this evening when our waiter placed our cocktail order with the apps. On a slow evening with plenty of staff, it took 20+ minutes to receive a drink with dinner. The manager acknowledged this and offered a round gratis and almost instantly (yay) asked if we'd like to grab another round. The drinks looked fantastic so we said sure. We asked for the check as well. Okay, round 2. The restaurant had died down at this point and the bar staff is intermittently occupied. So, this round takes a healthy 15+ minutes to deliver the drinks. Now, only 5 tables are occupied and hadn't received the tab. From that point...it took yet another 15 minutes. Is food and beverage + atmosphere amazing? Yes. I love this place but please give me a reason to make this 5 stars by improving responsiveness. We weren't in a huge rush here and enjoyed ourselves despite the service glitch. read more
