After weighing all of my options from new rim and/or tire to a reclaimed set, I settled on Tire Stop. I chose Tire Stop for a few reasons. Tire Stop was recommended by a coworker. I politely thanked him, but I have always bought new when caring for my vehicles. After all, my nearly new Honda Fit doesn't even have 15k miles on it. Priced that option at $500 (eegads!). Going to a reclamation center (junk yard) was still going to be ~$300. Really? I finally made my appointment (HIGHLY recommend). How about $53 with tax AND a tire (AND a warranty). I took my car to a tire store and was told my rim and tire were ruined. The guys at Tire Stop showed me the nick in the side wall of my tire and they told me my steel rims are nearly indestructible and a new rim was not needed. The Tire Stop guys will not try to scare you, or bully you or lie to get your money. Small shops as these need our support. Check them out!

He was very kind and sounded sincere. He didn't come off to me as someone just trying to get more business from me. As I said previously, the service overall was fine except for the very last thing that happened. So I'm ok with changing their score based on what I perceive to be good customer service after the sale from their GM. The rest of my review below is what happened that caused me to rate them a 1 star in the first place: Took my car there today for a new set of tires. The overall experience was OK until near the end. I told them that I'd be waiting in the lobby while they did the work, which they apparently forgot. One of them called my cell phone to try to talk me into a front end alignment. When I declined, they just hung up on me then said some things to each other about me. Again, this is while I was literally sitting around the corner in their own lobby. Not sure how the guy didn't put together that he was hearing me out of both ears, but it was an interesting experience for sure. Customer service matters. Because of that, this place went from somewhere I'd go again or send friends to being somewhere I'd never consider ever again.

There was Walmart auto service in Belleville. I waited a half an hour before they opened at 8 AM. When I got in the guy at the service desk says, "We don't work on tires on Sundays". I was totally astonished. I didn't press the issue and just walked out. It was only Monro Auto Service in Westland that was available (and willing!) to help. I had my tire fixed in no time. They also called twice (because I missed their first call) to remind me of their closing time at 4 pm on Sundays. When all other auto repair shops are totally closed all day Sundays Monro Auto Service is open over 6.5 + hours. On top of that, there was no charge for repairing the hole in my tire! I am definitely keeping the business card that Felicia gave me for when I have a more pressing need--any day of the week (even Sundays!) at Monro Auto Service Center in Westland.
