I'm sorry this might be the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant and i was hoping that time would calm me down and i try to keep my reviews as objective as possible but objectively this was the shittiest place/experience I've EVER had in my life. The staff was HARASSING us to leave (there's an hour time limit that my entire party was unaware of) but when my younger cousin was eating a waitress literally came and took the utensils right out of her hand telling her to leave. She then proceeded to yank the plate of food from in front her. I went up to try and clear this up as they make you pay before even being seated and the waitress literally plugged her ears and said "lalala" like??????? Okay let's get something straight here. This is a cheap Chinese buffet in a Walmart parking lot. You don't go into a $9 lunch buffet expecting a Michelin Star dining experience. Great place to come in for a quick bite for lunch or dinner. Their hibachi station has a lot of meats and veggies and you can add noodles or rice if desired, they will make it on the spot with your choice of sauce (chili, garlic, teriyaki, etc.). They have crab legs, dim sum, fried rice, chicken feet, steamed shrimp, oysters, selection of Chinese dishes, fried dishes, nice choice of vegetable, and dessert. Dessert didn't look too great, Fruit looked like it had been sitting out for a while, pies were unappetizing, and ice cream looked old. Sushi also did not look appetizing/fresh and looked like it had been sitting out a while. $15 for dinner and about $9 for lunch it's a pretty decent selection. Let's see...where to begin. I'll start by saying this buffet, compared to others in the area, sucks! Plain and simple. Can't put it any other way. While they had traditional Chinese buffet options, there were some foods that just didn't belong. Veal sausage?? Chicken Cordon Bleu? Strange but ok. Problem is that it wasn't very good. All the chicken was fatty, the pepper steak was chewy and the whole fried fish they were serving had teeth. Why do they have teeth?? Eyes I can see but teeth?? No! And where was the spare ribs? Boneless or on the bone. There were none. No chicken on the stick. No dumplings?? These are buffet staples and there weren't any to be seen. They did have crab legs but ironically nobody was eating those. I'm curious why. People usually will throw elbows to get to them at other buffets. Anyway, I will never come back. Now I usually give a place two times before giving up on it, but the topper and the most eye opening reason for my non-return is when I got to watch an unattended child help himself to the ice cream station, lick the scooper, and then put it back with a smile. I'm not kidding either so you may want to wait a few days before eating any ice cream here if you don't Heed my warning. On one good note, the staff was really friendly and pretty quick. Everything in the buffet is really delicious and during Ramadan, they give every table dates and water to break your fast, which is really considerate. This buffet gets a solid 3 stars. We got seated right away and paid upon entering. We were a party of 7. We all got to pay separately which was convenient because often time, big parties are forced to pay one check with several cards. The service was wonderful actually. At buffets, it's usually a hit or miss but our waitress was constantly cleaning our area as my one year old was throwing his food intentionally everywhere. That by itself is deserving of two of the three stars I'm giving! She literally swept under his seat twice. Now, let's talk about the food. Big selection of meats (but no pork and I think because the owner is Muslim), but nonetheless you don't really miss it because there is lamb! There were a couple of middle eastern dishes snuck in there too (kofta, kabab, grape leaves...). The seafood was great but I wished they refilled the tray more often of crab legs. Oysters, fried Maryland crabs, shrimp, salmon, big fish and sushi. Those never ran out. They were decent quality but what I didn't love (and usually I do) was their hibachi. The meat tray was frozen and the quality of the meat wasn't great. To top it off, the chefs over cooked everything. I hated that I didn't eat my plate especially because I waited so long in line for it. On to dessert, big selection of fruits and cakes/ ice creams. All in all, you found what you wanted but nothing spectacular to wow you to come back for more. Abusive Ownership, Refusal to Replace Old Food or Dried Out Bins During Lunch! I'm all for having legitimate Halal food, and supposedly local ownership. But these guys hide behind that to get away with exploiting customers by not keeping food fresh, and verbally abusing - in fact, trying to embarrass and YELL AT - customers who take the time to tell management that a tray of food has sat too long, is no longer fresh or edible, or empty entirely! When we went for lunch last week, at least a half-dozen items had cooked in, dried out and sat way too long. They needed to be discarded and replaced with the fresh food that customers were paying for. For example, a lemony fish dish that might have been good at 11am was no longer chewable or digestible by the 3pm time we arrived. The tray had been picked through and mostly broken pieces of what were once whole filets remained. But when I politely told the owner about the problem and asked if he could please prepare a fresh tray, he refused - and instead, screamed at me and threw a tantrum! "Nothing sits longer than 45 minutes," he yelled! This appeared to be sitting for a lot longer than 45 minutes, but no matter how long it had been out, it was no longer in a condition where it could be eaten, and required replacement with fresh food. But again, the response was that it was our tough luck! If we didn't like it, it was somehow our fault for not coming at noon, according to the ownership! (However, we were charged FULL PRICE when we arrived, so being told we're 3 hours late doesn't wash). Other dishes were in similar disarray or inedible, including a Singapore (curry) vermicelli lo mein that was so hard and picked through it was sticking to the metal. When some more was eventually brought out, the strands of vermicelli were uncooked, and had never softened. It was still impossible to eat! A nachos tray that might have been fine at noon was similarly inedible, with the toppings near petrified and dried out. Not everybody can make lunch at 12 noon. But if lunch is supposedly served until 3:30, whatever is out must be maintained, kept fresh, and be safe and healthful to eat - let alone enjoyable. That's what Halal food is supposed to be all about. Not just putting up a sign saying that a place is Halal. Simply put, the food and experience were HORRIBLE, and we were made to feel like dirt for asking for the fresh, enjoyable lunch paid for - for which our money was totally wasted! Not really all you can eat since they kick you out after an hour, so you feel like your rushed. Also, they only had 5 sushi options whereas other buffets have like 10-15. When I asked the guy if he can make me a vegetarian roll, he got pissed and told me I'm not special and they don't take requests from anyone. I asked the manager if that was allowed and he said yes and told him to make it and the guy got mad that he had to make me a vegetarian roll. The sesame and tso chicken were meh. Shrimp was okay and the lo mein tasted like spaghetti with soy sauce. The only thing that made the money somewhat worth it was the nice man doing the hibachi! The hibachi was actually good and I made my own teriyaki noodles with vegetables and steak. My sister made her own version of fried rice which was great too. It's important to note that their pricing has changed. We paid about $20 per person for lunch. I was excited to see that they had Mediterranean food, as I've never had it before at a buffet. They had so many food combinations, I was so surprised; Italian, Chinese, Japanese, seafood, sushi and much more. All of the food was hot, and delicious. The only thing I didn't like was that the Hibachi station wasn't busy at all, but me and my friend were served up undercooked. I'd understand if there were a lot of people in line, but it was empty. Also, my friends ordered coffee, and got stomach aches as soon as they drank it. None if them finished their coffee, because they felt that it was way too strong (even with 5 creamers). There is a count down for 4 minutes or you can choose to use it for a later time. I redeemed mine right away. However, I spoke to our server about the offer and presented the online coupon on my screen. He said that it has to be a printed out coupon only. He didn't did bother to look at my phone. He insisted that his manger told him to tell customers that this business only accepts printed coupons. I would ask to speak to the manger, but it's a total scam and not worth the headache. As far as buffets go, this one by far my most pleasant experience. More or less you'll find everything you're in the mood for at this place. They have various types of dishes(American, Italian, Chinese, etc.). There was never an empty tray on the buffet stands, and the second one was about to finish a cook would come out right away and replace it. But what really shines here is their hibachi (which doesn't surprise me because it's in the name). You grab a plate and put your veggies, meats, and or rice/noodles. As soon as you hand it to the cook just tell him what sauce you want on it and you're good to go. This has to be the best buffet I've ever eaten from. I've went during every hour of the day the food is always fresh. I never had a bad experience here. My favorite dish is the chicken broccoli, definitely a 10/10.
