I feel warranted to warn Yelpers here of my dreadful experience with this place, so that the same unfortunate thing doesn't happen to them. BEWARE OF THEIR SUSHI! One would be tempted to make a beeline for sushi, because fish is typically the most expensive item on the menu, right? On the contrary, what you will find is a rather unimpressive assortment of California rolls and similarly lackluster medallions that are all rice, drowning in their "special sauce," to disguise how little fish there is, and to provide flavor to what would otherwise be tasteless, paper-thin fish. I knew I should've been more careful when I saw everything sitting out at room temperature, under blinding spotlights. On top of that, the sushi grains were hard and overpowered with vinegar. Now, I've been to plenty of buffets before, but never had I encountered a case of food poisoning from a gluttonous night, which set in immediately after I stepped out of the restaurant. Everything else I had was your run-of-the-mill Chinese food of lo-mein and fried rice -- nothing remarkable that is worth returning for. Thanks, Hibachi Grill. I am rating this for customer service. The food is great and the variety is pleasing. They serve Mediterranean salads to pastas and meat dishes. However, I am never coming back here on principle because of their customer service. My son is a picky eater and has always brought in McDonalds nuggets for lunch. We've been doing this since the summer of 2018. No one says anything, they see the McDonalds, they smile, they welcome us in. Today however, the young man and lady at the counter insisted my son should be charged, and that they've always had that policy. I said no, that's false. And the young man had the arrogance to say "I've never seen you before, and I'm here every week". I'm not there every week but I am frequent customer. And why even say that? While I understand there may be a policy, they shouldnt lie and say "we've always done this before", because they HAVEN'T. They could just say, sorry this is a new policy. This place barely meets 3 stars. If I could figure out how to give a half star I would've given a 2 1/2 stars. I went there this past Saturday with some family and friends. There were eight of us in our party. They immediately add a 15% gratuity to any parties over 6 which is ridiculous since they're only clearing plates and barely bringing you a refill on your drink. The food was mediocre. Their website boasts all different dishes and yet when I looked for those such as coconut shrimp they didn't have it. I walked in expecting the experience to be subpar but boy was I wrong! There were several stations of different types of food and they were made beautifully! We came here on a Wednesday night and this place only had a few tables. Almost ALL the food items were old, dried, tasted like (and I'm sure) left over and re-heated from the previous night. I've known that this establishment has been a buffet for many many years so I decided to dine today with family since we were in the area. I guess there are new owners because it's no longer a Chinese food buffet. We paid once we entered because you pay first but didn't even make it to our seat. Took a look around at the food we were seeing on the guests plates and requested our money back immediately. Came here with my cousins for Ramadan dinner and stood online for hibachi, as I was placing the "lo mein" (spaghetti) on my plate I look to see if there was any crab meat and shrimp and it was all gone. The place is big and clean. It has great atmosphere, comfortable and modern style. If you like sushi, this may be a great place because the sushi station was generous and it looked so food that I almost tried it.. Ugh but I don't eat sushi. The hibachi station is great because you get to pick your own ingredients and the guy will cook it for you. But it can be a long time if they are busy. Been here twice since it opened and it might become my new go to buffet place. I'm a fan of buffets because different people can get what they want at the same place and you get to try many different items. Used to go to the Hibachi Grill in Secaucus, but haven't gone in a while. Since the place is new, most things are still very nice and clean. The bathroom has a strange odor though. The food is good. Great fruits, fresh salad, great coconut shrimp. Sushi is okay. They have good dumplings and steamed buns. I wish they would add some Chinese greens like bok choy or Chinese broccoli. They only have string beans. The ice cream chest with individual ice cream cups are great too. A lot of people get the hibachi, but I find what is already out is good enough for me so I don't get it. The prices are very reasonable for both lunch and dinner. But I've only been there for lunch. Go during a busy time so they refresh the food often and is hot. There's a Walmart (not Supercenter though) and TJ Maxx next door to walk off the food. read more

They changed management and the food isn't good anymore. We used to like coming here on the weekends to eat the lobster dish and the crab legs but we won't be back. This buffet isn't Asian anymore. The workers are efficient in changing the food in the buffet. There are still crab legs but I saw them only add it once while we were there. The hibachi part was ok but everything was very greasy. My only problem is the first plate I touched was dirty. It had a film of gunk that I had to inspect the other plates before using it. This happened the three times I went to get food. We had been going to this buffet for some time now & we always enjoyed it, especially my wife who is very picky when it comes to food. We came this past Sunday & noticed that it was under new management & didn't think twice if it. When we got our food & saw the way the food was displayed and the lack of it we realized that there was a problem. My wife also complained as to how greasy the food was compared to our prior visits. The trays were not refilled on a timely manner & they were also mislabeled. We complained to the staff & all they could say that they would tell the owner. The cons: I know it was to be expected, but the hibachi grill part didn't really match up to my expectations. It was too salty and they douse the meat and rice in sauce. And my brother found undercooked meat in his plate... That kinda made me cautious around the meats. The pros: The food is delicious, and their desert section is to die for!
