My friends dragged me here really late, and I ended up trying hookah for the first time in years! What I loved: Their business model is genius and they really clean up between 2-4am. $10 covers to get in, but it seemed like a lot of people were just there to a) sober up or b) hang out because it's the only place left that's allowed to be open. There was really loud music outside, and people were still dancing at like 2:30 in the morning. What I liked: They had a TON of hookah flavors. Dozens if not a hundred varieties, between a few different brands. I also like their food truck outside, which makes great fries and a decent falafel! Things that need work: I assumed service would be proactive about making sure you order something, but they really don't seem to care if you get anything or not once you pay the cover. You will have to hunt down an employee to even get an initial drink order, but once you have their attention they are prompt. I'm not really a tobacco person anymore, but I still appreciated my time here. I don't know if I'll smoke again, but I'll at least be back for the food truck! read more

Absolutely disgusting experience. The man in red(see image) didn't just refuse basic customer service--he physically harassed my sister-in-law and me. He shoved us, knocked the sodas we had just paid for out of our hands, and even put his hands on my SIL to the point where I had to physically push him off her to stop the assault. This was not just rude--it was threatening, violent, and completely unacceptable. As if that wasn't enough, he later had the nerve to say he was calling the police, and then fraudulently charged our cards $63 for a soda. Yes, sixty-three dollars. This is hands down the most unprofessional, unsafe, and hostile "business" I have ever stepped foot in. For a place to openly assault paying customers, disrespect women, and then commit credit card fraud--it's beyond unbelievable. Stay far, far away from this place. read more

DJ Skrillex was absolutely amazing, the mash ups, the song selection, and the flow literally had us out of our seats dancing which doesn't happen a lot in Tucson. Sexist, rude, not LGBTQ friendly.. My lesbian friend wearing flip flops and an American flag tank top was denied entrance..extra funny as they allowed me to enter in flip flops. Reasoning from bouncer, mine were "nicer". Yelpers, I got them from Ross for $6... my friends were RAINBOWS! While going in myself to determine real dress code I come in to see a man in the EXACT same tank top AND flip flops... I could not BELIVE this person was literally in the same outfit. Went to the bouncer and complained and showed them the other person. Still did not let me friend in, regardless we obviously will not go back. Everyone who reads my reviews knows that I'm all about ATMOSPHERE. It seems like this place TRIED to make sure they had no sense of ambiance what so ever. There were no decorations except for one string of what I assume are Christmas lights that span across the back patio. On a positive note, our server was super friendly and the hookah lasted forever! They have a menu full of flavors...almost to the point where it was a little overwhelming. Prices were decent. Please spruce this place up a little! read more

I always have had a great experience here. It gets really busy after 2 on Fridays/Saturdays and it's really hard to get seating outside but Angel or Michael always manage to get me seated outside. Service is quick and my hookah is smooth every time. Love this place! read more

The best thing about this place is its hours. That's it. They blast pop music outside from their DJ that does a worse job than my Grandma could. I've been here twice and I notice that their service is consistently, inattentive. They give you new coal way too late before you have to call for them. Outdoor chairs and tables are cheap aluminum, don't be surprised if your chair and table wiggles from imbalance. Hopefully Royal Hookah leadership will this and fix it. read more

Not the place to go ): It's unfortunate because it's in such a great spot, right on the strip. I had a party of 9, we're in town for business (7 of the 9 of us being previous servers). The atmosphere was simple and nice, clean cut. We came in on a Sunday evening, 8pm. There was only one other party in the building. The first words out of our servers mouth was "woah there's a lot of you." Okay... that means more money for you! Anyway, after being seated we were told in order to put our orders in, we had to pay first (including tip). That's odd, but we went with it. The problem was more so the way she told us. The hookahs came out (subpar, but not bad). But afterwards, she disappeared! Twenty minutes went by before we saw her again. We wanted to order drinks and such, but decided against it after her Houdini act. When she did appear, we ordered waters, juices, etc. I personally ordered popcorn. After waiting 15 minutes for the popcorn, she said it was almost done. Yay!! Only for her to say 5 minutes later they were out.... So you never put it in? Or....? Anyway. It took forever to even get more coals!! We ended up leaving sad. read more

Horrible place to go. Went there after a night of drinking downtown. Was in there for 2 minutes and another customer accused us of stealing there vape even though we were nowhere near there table. Security was aggressive and told us to empty our pockets. I talked loudly because they have a dj and it's loud in there and they told me to stop being aggressive. I told them I was only being loud because it was loud in there. Security continued to attack me verbally even after they searched us and we didn't have it. They told us we could either stay and have a good time or leave but wouldn't offer us a refund but why would we wanna stay somewhere that accused us of stealing something. Don't go here if there is another hookah place opened in town. They charge more than most places and, as other reviewers have mentioned, they will charge you for water, and do not have tap water to serve you... Isn't that illegal? It should be. The atmosphere is also really barren and weird. It's like they have zero decorations or anything to make you feel comfortable and it's just awkward. My friends also got a really bad tasting bowl of hookah and told the staff after no more than 10 minutes, and they still charged them to change flavors. read more

We walked in on a Sunday night. Just my friend and I, the place wasn't even that busy, sat at the counter for about 5 minutes till my friend had to go and get one of the servers to see if we can get a seat, he told us to grab the menus and take a seat where we would like, really?!? We grabbed them and it took about 15 minutes till they came and asked us what we wanna drink and then another 15 for them to bring them and ask us what hookah we want, we have been waiting a half hour for it to come out and I am writing this review to kill time. If you just want to talk and smoke hookah without having to yell over extremely loud music, then this is lounge is going to be your place. They have three different brands of shisha on the menu and a small selection of non-alcoholic beverages. You can choose to either sit inside or on the patio, which is where the live DJ was set up. The DJ played music ranging from top 40 to some Spanish tunes, the usual mix often played in hookah lounges. The staff was very friendly and attentive, they came by often to check if we needed more coals. read more

This place has such a great environment. During the weekdays its relaxed, and a great place to do homework or be with friends. On the weekends it's completely different, but still wonderful. There's a live DJ until 4 am, so if the bars close its a great place to retire your night. Customer service is great and the workers are friendly, always willing to help and give recommendations. Last night I was appalled by how the manger treated a young lady. She had asked for a refund because it had been over 30 min since they had placed her order and was ready to leave. And the manger didn't even let her talk and told her if she didn't like the service that she could leave but he wasn't giving her a refund then lied to her and said he was the owner and that he could do as he pleased. My experience here was so horrible that I actually downloaded the yelp app for this sole review. The staff is extremely rude and have an attitude like you're burdening them by even being in their vicinity, they're way overpriced, they have a cover charge and a dress code even though the interior looks like a small taco shop. The crowd is 90% men 35 - 40. You'll only find local Tucsonians here, college students avoid it completely and now I know why. It wouldn't be SO bad if they actually acknowledged what they were and had a more low key atmosphere to match their 500 sq foot interior but they have music blasting at full volume while everyone is just trying to have a conversation and can't hear anything unless you're 2 inches from their face and they have this attitude like they're the hottest spot in tucson and you should feel honored for being allowed in. Just everything about this place infuriates me. I'm astonished they're still in business. read more

I order a Starbucks Frappuccino and it tasted like straight up whip cream and they refused to refund my money.
