First off, they are fast and clearly don't take their time which was plus because I had a lot of things to do afterward. Second, desks and pedicure chairs are packed in there like sardines and they don't clean the chair between use. They make it look like it with plastic bags in the pedicure tubs, but they don't spray or wipe down the seats. Third, they don't have you wash your hands prior to or during services. Forth, masks are optional in there. All staff were wearing masks, but they weren't on appropriately all the time. Clients were not all wearing masks. Fifth, they had a lot more male clients in there which is nice because men should get pampered too. Lastly, my nail tech but a pretty good job considering she was watching something on her phone. Suggestion: Staff should clean clients seats, desks, and spray things down instead of sitting around doing nothing. I understand you want to talk story, but not in front other clients. Massaged my legs then started to paint my toes. No relaxing, I felt he was in a hurry, after he painted my toes he started to put my slippers on and when I asked are they dry yet? He said no you didn't get gel polish you got regular! I went to pay and sure enough I didn't get charged for the upgrade like I wanted. If you want a basic pedi and mani, please avoid this place. The lady, Mendi, insisted on upselling the hot stone pedicure. I only wanted the basic hot stone pedicure, which is $40. On top of that, she tried selling the gel package. She was not pleased when I refused them. I understand it's her business to upsell. In the meantime, it's my right to get the service I need. Literally within an hour of walking out of there the nail polish started peeling. To be fair, she did warn me if I did not do the gels, the regular polish will start peeling, but it feels like they're using inferior product just to get people to buy the gel option instead. Im going to make this short because my original review said it was too long and took me 20 plus minutes to write and was deleted. My husband walked in around 10:30am Saturday morning they were packed! No social distancing no capacity limits being adhered to. Partitions between customers at pedi stations were not properly placed and provided no real protection. Partitions at mani stations were between tech and customer only. There were no partitions between customers and we were all arms distance apart. He made a 12pm appt. for me or so we thought. When I arrived every chair was taken. I told the girl I had an appt. and was told to sign in and have a seat. I waited as if I were a walk in, maybe 10 min. My technician was May she was nice but her services was sub par. I paid for a "Royal Hot Stone Spa Pedicure" and got about a 10 minute service. My husband had the same service from another tech and was in the chair at least 20 minutes. My technician rushed, his took the time needed to ensure he received what he paid for. After my pedi May had me move to a mani station where I told her I wanted a paraffin mani and to add a little length to my nail without an acrylic tip. She said she would see what she could do and began buffing my nail with the machine. No manicure was done at all! We had decent conversation she was nice I found out she loved her job but had quite years ago and came back. She would not discuss why or how long she had done nails in general. I told her about a burning sensation I got after each time she put the powder/liquid mixture on. She ignored me and kept working. I asked her to shorten the length of some nails, also ignored. I even questioned why my thumb nail wasn't completely filled to which she said it's okay. She cut almost everyone on my fingers with the machine and charged my husband $146 not including tip. My friends and I's experience there wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. When we arrived we were seated promptly. Here's some notes about our time there. They were sooo pushy. They wanted us to sit and pick our polish from the gel swatches available. We told them we don't want gel and they were sooooo pushy about us getting it. You sure? It lasts longer and you can't wear your slippers afterwards because it takes long to dry. Uhhh this isn't our first pedi, toe polish lasts for ages, and I've walked out with my slippers before. I'm good. They finally gave in after a few more confirmations and said they'll pick a similar color to the sample that was chosen. Luckily I picked mine before I sat, but what if I didn't like what you chose for me? Afterwards, my polish looks all right from afar but then I notice the clear top coat didn't go all the way to the end of my big toe. When we were choosing our service my friend was thinking about getting the hot stone since it was only $5 more. I told her why not treat yourself! The tech interjected saying yes treat yourself get the deluxe volcano it's really good! That service is $20 more, no we'll stick to what we chose, thanks. My other friend did choose gel. Her first choice they said they didn't have it any more. The second one they didn't have enough so the tech chose a similar one for her. She wasn't upset with the color but it's not what she wanted. Why keep options if it's not available anymore? I didn't notice it, but my friend said the scrub they use is just in a drawer next to the chairs. Needed to get a pedicure done and since I was in the area I thought I'd give this establishment a try. It wasn't busy for a Saturday morning and the place is pretty clean and everyone seem very polite with a smile. I sat down and an older gentleman turn the water on and it was a bit hot and he didn't bother to ask me if the temperature was ok so I told him it's a bit hot & he got started with my pedicure but didn't bother to ask me which pedicure package I wanted so he must of assumed I wanted the basic. I have gone to Royal Nails multiple times for a few services; manicure, pedicure, eyebrow wax. Always have a great experience with pedicures and eyebrows. They are always able to take walk ins so there's no worry about waiting. I have noticed that there tends to be a big difference in skill between nail techs. I will typically do a full acrylic set and will try to come in for fills over the next couple months. This isn't the type of place where I would take very intricate designs or most pinterest inspo. Unless you know for sure that the nail tech can do the design you want i'd stick to something more simple since I have noticed that the techs will still try to do a design that might be too difficult for them instead of telling you no. I haven't had any problems coming in for fills from a different tech who did the original but I would suggest going to the same tech for a nail repair. If 3.5 stars were in option that is how I would rate these guys. Very nice staff and fast. read more

This morning I went in for a repair for my nail that broke very easily within 2 days of getting it done. I usually love this place and go for my birthday every year, however this time was different. Their policy before used to be free repair if needed within a week. I walked in this morning after waiting outside for a few minutes. Anna was the tech that helped me. She sat me down and tried to pry the broken nail off with another nail. After telling her that my nail was tender because of the way it broke, she still proceeded to pop the nail off in a painful way. She filed the nail that added to the pain and she was rushing. After applying the gel to the nail, I told her that the nail didn't look identical to the other hand that didn't break. Which she then started to talk to the other tech in their language to complain about me (this is an assumption, but their body language after I asked her to fix it was as though she was annoyed with me). After not nicely completing the shape of my nail to be identical with the other I was asked to meet her at the front counter. When walking into the shop I was not advised that I would be charged to repair my nail. She told me that it would be nearly $8. 2 days before I paid $80.62 and I also left a tip. My nails were not worth the amount I paid, but I paid it anyways because my tech worked with me as I wanted detailed prices before she completed my nails. When coming to the front counter and being charged nearly $8 for one nail, I was completely confused. The manager told me that once they apply the nail it is my responsibility to take care of the nail once I leave the shop. I looked around to see if they had an policy up about nail repair or charging for it and they didn't. I didn't come with any money and when I told the tech that fixed my nail she asked if my sister that came with me had the money. I was annoyed that she even asked because this has never been a thing at any other nail shop I've been to. After I consistently asked questions about their policy, the manager told me that when I come back again I can pay them back. Unfortunately today was the last straw and of coming to this location. I am stunned with how horrible the customer service and feeling of pampering has left this place. DON'T DO IT! WORST NAIL SERVICE I have ever had in my life from the male tech that has his table at the very back in center of room!!!! I believe his table number was 19. I requested the deluxe pedicure with callus removal and it was only 15 min wtf. The fullset hurt so bad when he was just clipping away the existing acrylic nails and literally trying to rip it off. I had to close my eyes because the acrylic was literally flying everywhere. I even told him it hurts to please stop. I also asked him why isn't he soaking the acrylic to soften it. He just continued saying oh I'm sorry I'm sorry and continued on. Then when he got to my thumb acrylic nail he was clipping it parallel to the cuticle (nail cutter sideways) and he cracked my real nail down the middle to my flesh. At this point I'm like wtf and told him he's scaring me and was about to get up and leave but he kept saying sorry sorry I'll fix it. He crazy glued the cracked nail then it stopped hurting. I will never ever go to this place even if you paid me. The tech I had was very negligent and part if it was because he was rushing. Therefore, they can accommodate a lot of customers and keep their prices relatively low. They do charge an extra $5 for callus removal, which I guess is now the new regular. Gone are the days when those were included with the price of the deluxe pedicure sets! No appointment needed, but recommended. They have a lot of space and a lot of staff, but if you have a particularly large party, I would try to call ahead to make sure everyone can be accommodated at the same time. I went to do my eyebrows I asked the worker to make an arch and kind of trim it because my eyebrows are really bushy she ended up, waxing under my eyebrows and trimming it with a pair of scissors from what I heard, she was forcefully, moving my head left and right Not gracefully she was a little rough I felt I did not like how my eyebrows turned out it was really bushy and it had no arch. It was my first time here and it was okay, considering they were under renovation. I had to sit on the last available chair which was in the front and the chair was hard and uncomfortable. She didn't clean my nails good enough and was on the phone most of the time. She had to leave me. Few times to do something. But she apologized to me. She said she was trying to order the reclining chairs for the other side where they were renovating. They said every year they buy new reclining chairs because they always want their things new for us. I wonder who buys the chairs because they're still new (1 year used). I like to try multiple places to get a feel for different colors/nail techs. But I was not disappointed in Royal Nails!!! I made an appointment for 11, I actually came a little late (for some reason I thought getting my nails done the day of my event was a great idea). Nevertheless, they got me started. I had a picture and although they didn't have the colors and the glitter I wanted, they presented me with alternate choices and actually I loved the outcome! My nail tech was AMAZING! I tried to ask her name multiple times but she was soft spoken and it was crowded and kind of loud. She had bangs and her station is by the wall, she has pictures with her son at her station. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HER. She was able to get my nails done in a very timely manner. Under 2 hours. And she also did my pedicure (and even took care of my ingrown nail problem, she didn't just ignore it like how some techs do) and my eyebrows! This lady amazed me. I had to tip her. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I've gone to this nail salon several times over the last year for pedicures, and it was fine, but I recently took a friend to get manicures and our experience was terrible! Firstly, I had to get my old polish removed prior to getting the new set. Rather than soak my nails like you're supposed to in acetone in order to remove the powder set, my technician, a middle aged lady (I didn't catch her name), ripped them off with some other kind of fake tip. She then proceeded to tell me how my nails were ruined by the previous set and that they're messed up and unhealthy now...after literally ripping them off herself. She then told me that because my nails were so messed up, I should get a layered ombre set to hide the indentations. I had already told her two or three times that I just wanted a plain gel set with one color, but she kept pushing. I finally said okay, because maybe she had a point that it would hide the damage she did, and she said it would be $10 extra. I figured I'd let her take a whack at it and maybe it would actually help. Her work was so sloppy, and she didn't even do the colors that I asked for. I wanted a white into orange, and instead she did clear into orange with a dab of glitter in a middle splotch of the nail. Each nail was laid differently with the glitter too, so they don't look uniform at all. Some are lop sided and they look pretty bad. The technician herself made me so uncomfortable, I just wanted to hurry up and get out of there. She kept repeating how messed up my nails are and how I shouldn't have gotten fake nails, because I messed them up. But they weren't fake nails, it was just powder rather than a gel set. My friend, on the other hand, got a plain set of gel polish without the enhancement like I did, but was charged the same amount that I was. I was charged $47 with my upgrade, and her gel set, which should have been $35, also cost her $47. Her technician was an older gentleman, and she said that he never even asked her for a tip. He clearly factored in his own 20% tip and charged her that rate, which is so deceitful. To top it all off, one of my nails already chipped, and it's only been 4 days since my manicure. I'm absolutely livid with my experience here. This business has no integrity and I would NOT recommend visiting here. I've been a patron for the last year and I'm now taking my business elsewhere.
