Butchie the

I can't thank Jenny and Brian enough for helping me during this life altering morning. They called me back right away and Brian came and picked up my sweet little Butchie quickly. I'm so thankful for Royal Pet Mortuary and what they do when our pets pass on. Thank you!

Rest easy big boy.

The first time I called upon their loving service was during an hour of much need and despair, they were there for us in 2009. So understanding, caring, respectful about everything, and offering advice with their options. I did not think twice about calling them again after our sweet kitty Nyles passed away recently just last month at 21 years of age. Thank you again for everything you do and for bringing our boy home with grace. Blessings to you always

We just got Kitty's ashes, poems, certificate & her paw print. Thanks, John, for being so kind.

If you are reading this because your pet is suffering, there is no "perfect" at-home service that…read morewill make it hurt less, but Hearts and Halos does a pretty damn good job and I recommend using them instead of calling around and wasting time you'll never get back with you animal. I don't think you'll regret it. Having to say goodbye to Bear, my best friend in the world and and still the purest love I've ever received, was the saddest day of my life. And figuring out the "right time" was agonizing and I remember feeling so alone. I called Hearts and Halos, and the lady I spoke to was so kind and gave me excellent advice I think all pet parents need to hear when the time comes: only you know what your animal needs and value quality of life over everything else. When that time came, Hearts and Halos scheduled me for the next day and provided their services with great patience, compassion and respect, making an already terrible day a little less terrible. That was 5 years ago. I called them yesterday for a cremation certificate and information on traveling through airports because I've decided it's now time to spread Bear's ashes. The same lady who helped me 5 years ago called me back at 9am this morning. She didn't have all the answers I needed, but that's not the point. The point is she went out of her way to bring us to this full circle moment by again helping me say a different goodbye this time, and providing guidance through another painful phase of letting go. I never got her name, but I always remembered her, that phone call about the right time, and her returning my call today 5 years later. She's exactly the person I needed in those moments. A true blessing from above. Thanks again. - Bear's human

A bit disappointed with this place. The idea of having your pet/family member euthanized at home is…read moregreat, but the execution needs improvement. In a nutshell 1. Tardiness should be communicated so the family can prepare when to be emotionally ready 2. Details of the service should be discussed and finalized BEFORE the day of the euthanization, not on the day of. 3. After euthanization, the vet should leave the room for the family to say their last goodbyes alone. It was finally time to have my gma's dog daughter euthanized due to lung cancer. My gma made an appointment for a Sunday at 3pm. The family gathered at 2pm to spend her final moments with her. On our way to her place, she called to let us know the doctor will be late and will be there at 3:30pm, which is fine. We get to spend more time with Lexa. As 3:30pm gets closer, everyone is realizing the time is coming. 3:40pm comes and the vet has not arrived yet. 3:50pm comes around and we decided to call. After all, she did call to mention that she was going to be late. Maybe she couldn't find the house. We called Hearts and Halo but was greeted with an answering machine. I left a message and asked what the vet's eta was. The vet, MJ, finally arrives at around 4pm with her assistant. She needs to understand, which I am surprised that she didn't, that when you are saying goodbye to your beloved family member, emotions are high and playing the waiting game bring anxiety because now you don't know the timing of things and you can't be emotionally prepared. Anyway, MJ comes in and starts presenting our options on method of euthanization, any options/mementos we would like (paw print, returned ashes, etc.) Honestly, I am surprised all this was not covered during the appointment call. As mentioned before, emotions are high and making these types of decisions shouldn't be made the day of. After about 15 minutes of this, it was finally time so we put Lexa on her bed and MJ injected a relaxing agent between her shoulder blades. She said it was similar to morphine. After about 10 minutes, she fell asleep. At this time, it just so happens that Hearts and Halo calls me. Perfect timing. I won't hold this against them since what are they supposed to do? But the timing was impeccable. After not picking up the call, they texted my phone. Maybe they should've just done that first. After this, she shaved part of her paw and injected the final injection and Lexa passed within a minute. We were able to say our last goodbyes to Lexa with no time restriction. However, a word of advice to Hearts and Halos, that this would be a great time to leave the room and let us have our own personal time with Lexa alone. MJ stayed with us the whole time. I know we could've mentioned this to her, but during such an emotional time, I think it is better if she just left the room on her own. When we were done, MJ and her assistant picked up Lexa gently with a fabric carrier. Lexa didn't come until 2.5 weeks later. Our grandma chose to pick her up instead of having her shipped back home. Hearts and Halos promised us she would be back in two weeks, so take that for what it's worth. Overall, it was a comfortable experience. Kinks need to be worked out, especially for such an emotional event.

Ariel was God sent to me. The way Ariel memorialized my little sassy girl Cutie was more than I could ever imagined! Ariel engraved all four of her paw prints in a heart shaped terracotta stone along with her tail which gave it that extra special unique touch. The ability to feel her feet and hands by tracing my fingers along each anatomical groove brings a smile to my face. Cutie would often times take her front paw and wrap it around my finger and now I can replicate that feeling over and over thanks to you Ariel. Ariel inked my Cutie's paws, nose and whiskers too! When I saw the prints it brought me back to when I use to touch her nose and she would look at me and I could just feel her smiling at me with her eyes. Ariel made me a special ink design with Cutie's tail curved forming a half heart with her back paw in the middle. I don't have tattoos but if I were to ever get one this would be perfect! Ariel created so many personal touches for Cutie's send off to heaven that she had me crying tears of joy. I'm confident in saying my little sassy girl Cutie knew she was so loved not only here on earth but in heaven. Cutie is looking down from heaven and is saying thank you Mommy for being there for me-I love you! and I love you too!! Thank you Ariel for your artistic abilities and most importantly for the compassion you have for animals. I'm so grateful for what you've done and I value you! -Marisol V.

On one of the hardest days of my life, he helped make a heartbreaking situation feel a little more manageable. He explained everything clearly, treated Ñoño with dignity, followed up professionally, and most importantly, showed real compassion. He also worked with me on the price when I was in a very difficult spot, and that generosity meant more than I can put into words. What stood out to me most was that he did not make me feel rushed or like just another transaction. He understood that this was family, not "just a pet," and he treated the moment with the seriousness and care it deserved. Losing a pet is brutal, and when you are trusting someone with someone you love, kindness matters. In my experience, Romo gave exactly that. I'm deeply grateful to him and to Small Paws Cremations for helping me through one of the hardest days I've had in a long time. I highly recommend them.
