Very disappointed with the service at CVS Pharmacy. We were told the prescription would be ready in 10-15 minutes, but after coming back multiple times, it still wasn't done. It has now been over 90 minutes with poor communication and very little urgency from the staff. Customer service was frustrating, and no one seemed to care that people waiting for medications may actually be sick and uncomfortable. If you are really ill, this pharmacy will make the experience even worse. Honestly, I would recommend going to Walgreens or using Amazon Pharmacy instead if you want reliable service and less stress. read more

I'm writing this when I'm frustrated which is probably not a good idea. First the good. It is open 24 hours. You never have to worry if you'll get there before it closed. The price you pay for that convenience is that MANY people like that. While it does move quickly there is often a LONG line waiting to get to the pharmacy. Now the bad and the reason for my frustration. I have called 3 days in a row and have yet to speak with anyone. They have a system where you call, leave a message and they call you back. I was trying to find out what problem they were having with one of my prescriptions. I called for 3 days and still haven't heard from them. And last the ugly! I recently got a letter from my insurance about something complicated. I KNEW it was complicated so took the letter with me. I could not get the tech to read 3 paragraphs. She assumed she knew what the problem and answer was. She wouldn't shut up and listen to me long enough to hear that wasn't the problem! In the end I had to ask for her manager who took the time to read the letter, understand what was changing and type in my information. read more

This is probably one of the worst pharmacies. They are routinely out of even the most common prescriptions. They nonchalantly tell you to go get them filled elsewhere and then tell you you have to call the other pharmacy and get them to call them. And then CVS refuses to answer the phone to transfer the prescription. I literally had to drive down in person to CVS to force them to answer the phone from the other pharmacy so I could get my prescription. And then tried to transfer my prescriptions to Amazon pharmacy and CVS also refused to answer the phone and then stated that my prescriptions did transfer (but they actually did NOT) leaving my prescriptions all in limbo, unable to fill them anywhere!!! Terrible. The lines are 20 people deep at any time of day. Their computer systems are constantly crashing. I have a very expensive specialty prescription and I'm transferring that out as well. My favorite pharmacy to go to for the convenience. The staff are always friendly and I think they deal with a lot of frustrated customers and I definitely admire their patience. You can't beat 24/7. Though, I think the front is a bit shortstaffed at times and CVS does the whole thing where you have to click a button to get someone to open something which I hate. I've been using this pharmacy for years. I can't count the number of times the pharmacy workers have helped me deal with a problem related to my medication. They really try. There is often a line, but it goes quickly and I try not to come to the pharmacy when I'm in a rush. Since Rite Aid went out of business many of their customers have switched to CVS, so it gets crowded. A little patience goes a long way. I grew up in Montrose/la crescenta and have been going to this CVS (formerly sav on) since 1972. A good thing is the nostalgia I feel every time I walk in. The pharmacy is adequate but typically pretty busy. As a person of color I appreciate all the black santas, but why all the black santas? There aren't that many of us in the cresccenta valley, and how about the representation of our Asian santas, or Hispanic santas, or Indian santas, or Persian santas.why leave them out? Why not stay with the traditional Santa image (1863 was the first image, he was Greek/Turkish/white) we all grew up with since the image was originated. Otherwise don't we need representation of all the possible colors?? Why not tall Santas and short santas? read more

This is my destination pharmacy; I just realized that I have a one and half month vacation coming up and I need medication for oversea. I called CVS pharmacy and left messages, within 5 minutes the pharmacist Liz called back and asked me few questions, immediately she helped me to override my insurance, then I picked up my meds next day for the 3 month supply. Truth be told, I don't know about all the negative comments, however I have one that is very positive...There is always 2 sides to a story.. Let's be kind to one another.. Alfred, what a delightful young man.... If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I've been to many pharmacies over the years, but Alfred stands out in a way that's rare these days. He's not just knowledgeable, he's caring and so polite wow.. The few times times I come in, he remembers my name, asks how I'm doing, and makes sure I understand everything about my prescriptions and gets me the help should I need.. He's fast, professional, and somehow still takes the time to make each person feel heard, as I await in the line I observe. The world needs more Alfreds. This is only for the pharmacy. I arrived at around 2100 hours to drop off my prescription. While waiting in the long line, there were a lot of people complaining about the wait time along with the turn around time with picking up their meds. The employee told me that I can come back at 2300 hours to pick up my meds. I went home and returned the following morning at around 0730 only to be told that it's not ready and to wait 15 mins. I don't mind waiting 15 mins, but it was supposed to be ready by 2300 last night. I guess this location is notorious for telling people to come back couple hours later only to tell them after two hours that it's not ready yet. Simple solution, go to another CVS location. read more

My husband is a physician and he has tried multiple times today and in the past to either leave a voicemail with a new prescription or to speak to the pharmacy staff, and when he presses those prompts it goes to never never land. Most of the associates checking us out are nice but the male pharmacist (I don't know what his name is) is an absolute jerk. No empathy. No help. He just doesn't give a s- if you're happy or not. The manager Richard went above and beyond to resolve the issue so I can get the order resolved. We had a return issue and he issued an online credit gift card. But, I pay for Extracare, therefore when I pay for my medications in full online, I should be able to go right to a line that is strictly for that, as the sign say on the wall. Dan, the Pharmacy manager who is a great guy & does his best to keep the lines flowing agrees with me, but Corporate doesn't stand behind him or the sign on the wall.I'm hope they will read this and stand behind their words. I have been a customer of this location since it was Sav-On. Let me begin with, I was a clinical research nurse and worked for several local doctors. I have never seen such chaos in mayhem at this location before. They are struggling to accommodate the new Rite Aid customers. Many people were frustrated and it's clear that customer service is not their priority. The lines were so long they rivaled Disneyland. My back was already hurting and standing in those lines just made it worse. I felt bad for some of the elderly people in line. After 30 minutes in line I finally reached the counter, I was told by Tony that there were no prescriptions in the system. He asked if I was from Rite Aid. I said "No, I've never been a customer of Rite Aid." He kept telling me that I needed to go in the drop off line. I was trying to pull up my prescription on the website to show him and he was starting to get frustrated. I was asked for a supervisor and I was told there was there wasn't one around. Then Alfred chimed in and in an almost bullying tone insisted that I go to the drop off line. Again, I waited another 20 to 25 minutes in the drop off line. Finally I showed the lady at the counter my account on the website. She told me that it probably got put back in stock. I told her I never received a text that it was ready or an email. I had checked the website, and it had said it was ready. I never got a notification that it was being put back on the shelf. I verified my phone number and gave her my email address. She said my email address was not on my account even though I use my email address to sign in to my account. She told me that they were processing it, and that I should go stand back in the first line. It was finally ready and Alfred rang me up. He basically shoved the prescription and the receipt at me after the transaction was completed, as if he was trying to say "get out of here." It might be a good idea for CVS to consider utilizing a customer service training program prior to allow you new employees to face the public. It almost seems like they aren't interested in keeping their longtime customers. So disappointing. No wonder many are considering mail order pharmacies. read more

Montrose CVS store is the WORST! I went to the Montrose CVS store to buy an item but it was not on the shelf and I was told it was out of stock. So, I go order it online and the website said the item was available for pickup at 2037 Verdugo Boulevard, Montrose, CA, which is where I had gone. I order it and received an email it was ready for pickup. Instructions were to go to the front counter. I'm in line and the self check employee comes along asking if customers want to use self check. I tell her I'm picking up an order. I'm in line for 10 minutes because there is only 1 register open up front. The self check employee walks past me at least 5 times. Finally I get to the register only to be told that pick up orders are now self serve from a location next to the front counter. It would have been helpful for that information to be in the email or a sign on the counter or the self check employee could have told me; SOMETHING!! But, no! I'm left standing in line for 10 minutes! Ridiculous!! read more
