He noticed that the tires I had selected and paid for online (using what was suggested by the discount tires website when I entered my license plate) were not the right size and found that the higher quality tires that did fit were $70 less per tire! I often feel reluctant about car related purchases because I know they will be expensive and I feel like people will often try to sales pitch you into buying something even more expensive, but that was not the case here which I really appreciated. He did present me with a few extra add ons like new windshield wipers (which I did get, $21/wiper for a VW) and a new spare tire because mine is probably 10+ years old (which I did not get). I was refunded the difference between the cheaper tires + the wipers and the original price I paid and my car was ready in 45 minutes! This location is across the street from a Wing Stop, Noodles, & a Jersey Mike's. There were plenty of seats to wait in but it was also convenient to run across the street and grab lunch while my tires were being changed. I wish I could give negative stars! These guys are scammers. I was a loyal customer for over 14…read moreyears, every car I owned came to them for tires. I made the mistake of getting other repair work done from them. They worked on a couple different things for my vehicle two separate times, the second time my vehicle was kept overnight even though it was supposed to be done same day and when I get it back it's running weird. So, I call and ask the owner what happened. He asked me to bring it back in after the weekend. I brought it back and he tells me my catalytic converter is clogged. Funny thing about them, they don't just clog overnight at random while the car is not even being used. I told him there is no way and he said he couldn't have clogged it but he can fix it for me right now by putting a straight pipe on it and removing the "clogged" converter. I don't know anything about cars and I trusted him, he's been doing my tires for 14 years! Plus, I had to work and I travel so I needed my vehicle that day. When I drove off, the car was still acting the same as before so I called him. He sounded nervous and told me to bring it back in when I can. I took it to another mechanic instead and he found the cable cut on one of my spark plug wires. A clean cut. This act of greed could have done some serious damage and even started my vehicle on fire. It's clear the cable was cut to create the desired effect to be able to steal my very valuable catalytic converter. They're con artists and scammers and will do dirty things to get what they want.
