Excellent bakery. The Italian Cookies and pastries are the best. The Radio bars creamy and Napoleons have custard to die for. Authentic Italian bread. Fantastic sandwiches. I love the bagels. They freeze well. I always get orders from friends and family to pick them up some. I have had the turnovers, also great, and the pepperoni bread. I'm on the fence about it. It was good but not sure I would say great. I don't care for the coffee. I'm also surprised they don't carry a better beverage selection, like Dr Browns. read more

Service was great, very friendly staff. The location in the strip mall only had two small tables which made it pretty uncomfortable to eat there. The sandwiches were very tasty but also crazy messy and without a bathroom to wash your hands in we all left with sticky hands covered in Russian dressing and BBQ sauce. Desserts definitely looked better than they tasted but we didn't try most of the cookies so maybe those are better. I'd return for a good sandwich and maybe a cookie to go read more

The only place to get lobster tails(the pastry kind) lovely and should be a regular option. And the cookie section is alway stocked with traditional items, home made no over processed garbage. The food is amazing, the employees, not so much. I will continue to go back, because the sandwich selection is excellent and the are all very good and the baked goods are very well made. The employees need some pointers on customer service. We asked if they make a 1/2 sandwich and with only meat and cheese for kids and the girl said "No, you have to buy a full sandwich and we put everything on it. This is quite the hidden gem for Jefferson county. The bagels and spreads are very tasty. You can't go wrong with a hot latte, sandwich or soup. We've never been disappointed. For any chocolate lover, I highly recommend the chocolate cigar. You won't regret it. Seating is extremely limited, with just two tables inside and two tables outside. However, the food and service are so good, I don't mind mind taking it with me or just eating it the car while I relax for a few minutes. read more

I'm usually very skeptical of bagel places because most of them, including Einstein's, don't have the right "chew" on the bread -- they usually feel like regular bread in a donut shape. I just finished my first bagel from Royalicious and am thoroughly impressed. A real bagel chew and great whole wheat flavor on the multigrain style. Next time we're going in for the plain bagels, and bringing home cream cheese and lox too. After passing this storefront many times on our way to the pizza place a few doors down, we finally popped in to grab a couple of bagels for the next morning. We ordered 2 bagels, but walked out with 4! I've heard of a baker's dozen (12+1) but never double your order...wow! And nowhere on the storefront do they really advertise the Italian cookies or cannoli, which we will definitely try next time after seeing the reviews here. Especially since I see now that the cannoli don't have candied fruit in them. read more

I've been a customer of this business since before they moved to the Charles Town area. They were fantastic, and I was delighted when I found they were opening their business here. From the breads and bagels, to incredible pastries, to excellent, huge sandwiches, everything is superb! I love that whenever I place an order, they always include a treat with it. They consistently go the extra mile to make whatever you've gotten special. At Christmas I ordered a platter of goodies for a family get-together. When I picked it up, it was much nicer than what we had originally discussed. It was explained that what I ordered just didn't look right, and they wanted it perfect before it went out the door. It was amazing! It looked wonderful, and we sent stuff home with everybody that night. If there is one downside, it's that they have a limited number of tables. That can be slightly inconvenient if you're going out to eat, but normally I'm picking up and taking home. Honestly, even if they had no tables, it would still be worth the trip. read more

These guys do great stuff. I love the massive breakfast sandwiches served on their own bagels. The coffee is great too. These guys honestly made me the best latte I've ever had. Ordered a large amaretto latte (I don't even like amaretto flavoring, not sure what I was thinking!) and it was fantastic. I made it halfway to my car, and I had to go back into the store and let the young ladies behind the counter know how spectacular it was.
