Their breakfast croissant sandwich was the perfect compliment to our road trip, it wasn't too filling or too light. The Vietnamese coffee was delicious but not strong. We ordered another coffee which tasted like the milk was maybe heated too much but all in all it was a great breakfast. The service was amazing, the people were friendly. We specifically loved the coffee display and dispensers on the side. It's located in Benicia and Benicia is lovely and calm compared to surrounding areas. read more

After recently moving to Benicia I saw that this place was highly rated so I decided to get a matcha and a breakfast sandwich. The breakfast sandwich looked like it didn't even have a whole egg in it, the bacon was soft, and the english muffin tasted stale. The matcha was by far the worst drink at a restaurant I have ever had, it looked like murky beige water, and tasted like straight up sugar and milk. The 1 star is for the worker who was nice enough to refund me. Definitely won't be coming back read more

Ample easy parking. Love the vibe upon entering. Staff was supper friendly and helpful with our questions since it was our first time at Rrags. We ordered the Denver breakfast burrito and a breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon, cheddar cheese on an Asiago bagel. The breakfast burritos are not made by Rrags. They are premade, refrigerated, and then reheated. The serving portion was a bit smaller than expected based on pictures. I was offered a side of salsa with my burrito. The salsa was essentially Tapatio hot sauce which was fine but not what I expected. The breakfast sandwich was made onsite. It was a good portion and tasted great. Overall good experience. We prefer onsite cooked to order food, so I probably wouldn't order the breakfast burrito again but would get another breakfast sandwich. Pricing was consistent with current food and labor costs at other restaurants. read more

This place never disappoints. I love coffee and normally almost always have to order hot coffee/espresso but this place makes really awesome iced Black Tie coffees. Strong Vietnamese coffee, with added condensed milk and topped off with half and half. Great pick me up afternoon drink. Their lox bagel sandwiches are delicious too! read more

Rrags to riches? Only time will tell. I'm actually gonna keep this review shorter than I normally do. I went here recently on the weekend to get my girl and our friend some coffee. Easy parking in the small lot in the morning but if you are in this area in the afternoon to night, parking can be hit and miss with Nations, Subway, and Baskin Robbins all being nearby. Had a long day ahead of us in Napa so we needed some coffee and quick bites to get us going. I actually didn't need any coffee since I was pretty awake but I was a tad hungry. In order to prevent the hangry status from unfolding later into the day, I got a breakfast burrito to go. I'm not gonna review the food so much as it was just a decent tasting microwave breakfast burrito, but what I will say is their customer service is strong here. Really strong. I've worked in customer service for nearly 7 years and I always like to give shoutouts to peeps when they give above and beyond service. I especially have to give props to Rrags because they are one of my local business'(Benicia representin mang). I have gone here numerous times and the coffee is always on point. Every single time the employees are super nice and serve with a smile on their face. This one particular time they forgot about my burrito. First time for everything. The manager(or at least I think he was. He's always there and hella nice) personally came over and apologized. People were coming in to order coffee but yet he stopped what he was doing and came over personally and apologized. What followed was, "Did you need extra napkins? Did you need some hot sauce or sour cream?" Anything he can do to make me feel right at home. It really struck home after he left. Like this was all for just a microwave breakfast burrito and yet I felt so content. Why couldn't I always get this same service at like a Taco Bell or McDonalds?! Well that's probably obvious heh...But it goes to show how just being real and genuine to people just goes a long way. Be good to your neighbor, ya know? Even though the quality of the burrito was just ok, that probably was the best microwave burrito I've had in a damn long time. Never change the quality of your customer service guys! :D ...Damn. Coffee has been great every time we go. The first time I didn't know what to get so I the lady asked me what I liked. I said something sweet and strong lol. She made me the perfect drink, I think it was a Vietnamese coffee. It's been a while since we came in. Looks like I need to make another trip out there soon. read more

Maybe it's because I just moved here and can't understand the high reviews? The Matcha latte looked like dishwater, and that's because it's a syrup, WHAT?! The burritos are frozen and the breakfast sandwich was so small. Not what I would have expected from a 4 star reviewed place. read more

I was a little confused about what Rraggs is all about. It's a "Caffé", and they do have sandwiches, plus the yelp-recommended Chinese Chicken Salad, which was very good. They also have some baked goods selections. These things are not bad, but I think they detract from their core identity. Coffee is what this place is really all about. They roast their own coffee on the premises -- in fact, the roaster takes up a good part of the seating area! (I was wondering what that was.) You can choose from a large selection of various fresh roasted beans to go. And there's an abundance of espressos, iced coffees and frappuccino-like blended drinks they can whip up. I had the black and white mocha frappuccino and it was outstanding. In my mind sandwich places are a dime a dozen. But this place is a coffee roaster that sells drinks and beans: how many of those are around, especially in the far east bay? I think Rraggs would be well served by playing up their excellent coffee/roasting and investing in more of a coffeeshop feel (ditch the linoleum). If you like coffee, this place is definitely worth a visit! read more

I love this cafe! I will tell you this place has one of the best Vietnamese coffees since I have been in California. 1. You must wear a mask! 2. You can't sit inside 3. They have outside seating. Okay so I order a Vietnamese coffee which at baseline is not healthy but its delicious. I never order the large because I don't finish, so I guess it's a "medium". But who cares it's a great Sunday treat. Anyhow go any day. The customer service is great and the cafe is clean. They have a variety of choices. Oatmeal, sandwiches, burritos and muffins. Coffee, juices, and whatever else you can think of. Okay so I normally get the bagel and lox(not open faced) with no tomato, light cream cheese. It's great. Comes super quick I grab it before work. The beat thing about this cafe is that it opens early. Now I will say this the muffins and bagels are great. But you need to come before one o'clock if you want the pick of the best "crop" lol. The 5 stars is based solely on their house blend coffee beans, which I brew at home in an AeroPress. I grind the beans to the fine end of drip, almost to espresso grind, and do an upside down brewing method, filling the AeroPress to the 3 cup line, with the plunger at the 4 cup line. I then fill it half way with 200F water, stir, and fill it almost to the top, just leaving room for a little bloom. I then pop a paper filter in, screw the cap on, wait 30 seconds, and then push the plunger until the oils are pushed through the filter, and press the coffee into a extra large, pre-heated mug. I then put heavy cream and sugar to taste, and top it off with 200F water. The only thing that comes close to this, for me, is Philz Tesora done "Philz way" I prefer Rrag's house blend to Philz Tesora at home though. The mocha's here are usually pretty good as well. I don't like Rrag's brewed coffee though, when they brew it. They have good pastries as well. read more

I've gotten coffee and food here for at least 3 years. I've ordered iced Vietnamese coffee there the last 3 times I've been there and asked for them to go light on the ice cause the Asian dude that makes the coffee always puts so much ice in the cup with barely any coffee. He gives me a cup that was half full of coffee and still a very high ice to coffee ratio. Ridiculous, I almost felt like he did it on purpose to be ass. And I'm always respectful and tip well. For the amount a money you pay for these coffees you'd expect to be treated properly. They've done this to my co worker 2 times as well. Will no longer be going here. Prices are WAY too high for what you get. Highly do not recommend this place. Starbucks is right around the corner. That's where I'll be going from now on. read more

First time here. Cute quaint spot. Employees were super nice and didn't mind answering questions. Had Thai Coffee and BTA ( bacon tomatoes and avocado on a toasted Croissant yummy. Nice family run operation. Had a sourdough breakfast sandwich and a mixed berry smoothie. Both really good and made fresh. I was with family and friends from a wedding the night before and everyone pretty much finished everything. The establishment is a bit crowded on the inside because of an antique industrial size dough mixer and could benefit from a bit more seating. It seems to be a local favorite eatery and WiFi hotspot. I needed an afternoon pick me up and in this sleepy town (no pun intended), most cafes/bakeries are closed on Mondays. I decided to pop into Rrags and was delighted to see how extensive their coffee/espresso menu is, and they even have an iced black tie which is my go-to at Peets!
