A super satisfying Taco Night with warm and friendly service from Angie. I ordered the fish taco, and it was a winner with the perfectly fried, large piece of fish and crunchy slaw. The flavors in the picanha taco with the chimichurri sauce and pickled red onions were good, but the meat was tough, and I had to deconstruct in order to eat it. There's also a great $10 deal with two tacos (up charge for steak or fish), beans and rice. We enjoyed the spring breeze at dusk while dining on the outside patio surrounded by tropical plants. I'm thankful that Rreal Tacos is now in downtown Duluth!

Truly need this place & the vibe in Gwinnett. This is a very happy place. Busy around 2 pm on a Saturday- ACTUALLY BUSY!! See pics- this says it all. Staff is super friendly, the bar tender explained all cocktails are made with fresh, REAL ingredients like agave. We even got some cute ducks... love that! Food- amazing. Service (except for the women who seated us) - amazing. Drinks - amazing. Ambience - great vibe!!! Costs - pricey!!! If you want to relax, have a good meal & forget about crap for a while, I suggest you try this place out. A big bar, get a drink & appetizer. Or be seated for a meal. Just go & relax- you deserve it!!

I'm so glad I gave this place a second chance! My first experience was a to-go order where I tried the ramen; it was just okay, but I had a feeling the "dine-in" experience might hit differently. I'm definitely glad I went back. The Food * The Nachos: These were easily the star of the show. They were incredibly flavorful and the highlight of the meal. * The Tacos: My friend and I ordered a variety of different tacos to share. Often there's at least one "miss" when you try everything, but not here. every single one was delicious. There wasn't a single taco I disliked! The Vibe- Dining in made a huge difference. The atmosphere is vibrant and the service was solid. If you've only ever done takeout from here, do yourself a favor and grab a table instead. Verdict: Forget the ramen and go straight for the tacos and nachos. I'll definitely be back to explore the rest of the menu!

I will say, this location was nice compared to the one in Midtown. Service was great. Really easy people to deal with. Jess was great! I got the strawberry margarita and that was good. The guac was sooooo good. However, I got their lychee martini burrito bowl, and I wasn't really happy with how that came out. It was bland. Even when adding the sauces they have on the table, it was still bland. It really needed some salt. The steak in my burrito bowl was burnt and really hard to chew on. I think if you're going to come here, it's more of a drinks/appetizer place. I had the same issue over at Midtown with the burrito bowl, so not sure if it's the standard of how they cook it. But maybe put salt on the table and the issue would be fine?

This was almost 2 stars based on service but they redeemed themselves. It was two of us on a Saturday night and they get busy. We were told we could sit at the bar and it's full service. We found a spot but we were there for over 20 mins before a bartender glanced our way and helped us. I guess all the bartenders assumed we had been helped. We ordered the trio appetizer, chicken birria, and birria quesadilla. They came out pretty quickly and the food was absolutely tasty and big portion sizes for the price. The queso was good but it came out room temp and not hot. The salsa was good and the guac was great. One of the best beef birria items I have had. Another ding for them is no horchata the menu says horchata but fine print says select locations and this location was not one of them. It's a good place to go just hopefully you get better service and warm queso.

I'm always down for a night at Rreal tacos. It's always a fun vibe, especially around any holiday! Love the themed decor and drinks. Service is always great. As for the food, I'm also a big fan. I love sharing the taco platter. Literally SO MUCH FOOD. Tacos are stuffed, too, no skimping out on the meat lol. We've also ordered their food online and they've always included all the things - chips, salsa, condiments, etc. Always a good time at Rreal Tacos! I'm glad the opened up a location at downtown Duluth.

Esquite: 3/5 the flavor was pretty decent but was missing the traditional sour cream and butter and it being $6 for something smaller than a taco but more expensive Beef barbacoca: 4/5 the beef was tender and flavor was tasty but portion was way too small compared to the price of tacos at other places. Burrito (beef): 3/5 the beef was soft, tasty, and plentiful but that's was about it. There wasn't a super burrito option but that's not why it's 3/5. It was basically rice, beef, grilled onions. It felt like it was missing the usual pico de gallo, sour cream, guac, and the Spanish rice. In addition, the wait for the food was about 35 minutes for one burrito and one taco which was relatively a longer wait than normal. The ambiance was nice though, it was very Christmas decorated and festive. The menu was also Christmas theme which was nice

Came here on a Saturday night and ended up waiting about 30 minutes for a table. The ambiance is really nice, though it's a bit on the darker side since most of the lighting comes from the table lamps. The food was decent, but not quite worth the price in my opinion. On the bright side, the drinks were delicious.

Amazing food and amazing service. That pineapple drink that I had was unbelievably good. My goodness. Our food came quick and it was hot and fresh. We sat outside which the views were great because it was right in downtown Duluth which made the views and ambiance great. 5 stars all around.

Good Service. I really like the vibe at this location. It's looks upscale with a simple menu and ordered a pitcher with a few tacos. It created a really nice vibe. I'll be back sooner than later. Who ever does the interior needs a raise! The pork belly taco is bomb. Side note

We came for the Valentine's pop-up and loved all the decor! We had a reservation and were seated right away. Our server was very nice although it seemed like they had her waiting on tables all over the place, rather than staying in one area to be more attentive. The cupid's box was great, but it should have had an option for in-house vs. it only being to-go. The cocktails were great like always although initially slow coming out. The ducks should be offered for maybe an additional 50 cents on 1st drink for those not wanting a 2nd drink. Loyal customers who have been with it from the beginning are used to it coming on every drink. We Can't wait till the rooftop is open although I hope the downstairs outdoor seating remains for those who can't go upstairs. Overall another great location!

Cute bag the food portions are ample you will need a To Go Bag maybe!!

It was my first visit to the Duluth location. I went for a solo late lunch in the Love month February. I've never witnessed a restaurant deck out there dining area the way they do for Xmas Halloween & Valentine's Day. It's such a fun experience if you love a good themed party place Rreal Tacos has you covered. The Extraordinary Supervisor-Hostess-Server Quintin is the most professional, empathetic & very Kind Soul. If you have any concerns he is the Staff member who will help you with everything you need & more. This establishment is situated in the cutest pedestrian friendly downtown. I found street parking easily but they also have parking lots. I'll return soon.

We didn't have reservations and the wait was an hour so we sat at the bar and order take out. The drinks were delicious but I could have use a touch more alcohol. The staff at the bar was excellent. The vibes were cute. Good place for date night or friends night. We ordered the taco fest and yessss it was a fest comes with corn and flour tortillas, 4 proteins and all the toppings and sides. I thoroughly enjoyed it is good for 3-4 people depending on how hungry you are. I do recommend.

**This review is specifically for Overstory Rooftop Brunch**…read more Made a solo reservation on a Sunday to have brunch before seeing a show. The good parts didn't outweigh the not-so-good for me. 1. Located on the 9th floor of The Westin, BUT, parking is mad affordable, which is a big relief as usually hotel rooftops have a static valet parking fee for $25 or more. There is a garage right in front of the entrance and its 5 bucks for up to 4 hours. 2. Views - decent enough for the 9th floor, but mostly overlooks trees and some highways. There isn't much to actually look at as far as a skyline. I was here in the daytime though, maybe at night with whatever city lights coming in, it may be a lil more charming. 3. Ambience - the inside was really nice, the tables were big and seating was comfy, a combo of cushioned chairs and velvety booths or couches. nice decor, and the outside portion of the rooftop also seemed very spacious, with a big main area as well as seating & a few more tables down the side of the building. I went during the yacht rock brunch period, so there was a live DJ spinning old hits from the 70s/80s. the music was at a cool volume, not so loud that you can't hear anyone speak, but not too low like background music - loud enough that you feel like its okay to vibe out. 4. Food & Service - this is where it fell apart for me. when i was seated, it took about 15-20 minutes for my waitress to come and ask me what i wanted to drink. when she finally did, i realized this same woman had walked past me several times before, on the way to do nothing in particular. she didn't introduce herself but was polite. she brought out my coffee and took my order, it took an hour for my food to come out. and the place wasn't crowded. only 2 couples sitting outside and about 40% capacity ithe indoor section where I was. and the food was subpar. it all came out hot, BUT. chicken sausage was hard to bite because casing was burnt and tough. eggs were cooked with so much butter it just tasted like i was eating fluffy butter. biscuit was dry and couldn't possibly be homemade. 'parmesan potatoes' had a few sad dried dots of cheese and parsley but no seasoning whatsoever. i forced myself to eat about half. I live far from Duluth, so really no reason to come back. Maybe a nighttime hang with drinks only, on the outdoor terrace would be a slightly better experience. But I don't have to find out.

I was really looking forward to trying the oysters, but I didn't realize their menu changes often so unfortunately, no oysters this time. A little sad about that! We decided to order pretty much everything off the à la carte menu. Overall, the food was just okay to me. The Brussels sprouts were the hardest to eat they were basically raw, just thinly sliced with sauce poured over. It would've been much better if they were at least steamed or grilled a bit. The mushrooms, though, were absolutely BOMB! If I didn't know what it was, I would've thought it was some sort of meat dish super soft, flavorful, and delicious. Definitely the highlight of the meal. The Wagyu, on the other hand, was a big disappointment. For the price, it was tough and chewy when it should've been buttery and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Overall, the place is cute and the vibes are nice, but the food was overpriced for what it was. I'd only come back for those mushrooms they were that good.

I placed an order for everything on the carte menu. Food was fun and a few of the dishes caught me off guard, in a good way. Pros. We loveeed the maitake mushrooms. This dish was one dish my friend and I had low expectations for. Ironically it's the only dish we would go back for! The bucatini I also had low expectations for. I hardly order pasta, from non pasta specialty places, because the pasta is 99% of the time going to be overcooked. BUT this bucatini was cooked perfectly al dente. The sauce was rich but not too heavy and just enough to cover the noodles without drowning. The crab taste was pretty faint. If it weren't listed on the menu I wouldn't even think it were in the dish. Cons. The brussel sprout salad was honestly almost inedible. It is a raw shaved brussel sprout salad, dressed as a Caesar salad. Although not bad tasting, the core of the sprouts was not tender but dry and hard. There was also a lot of it. Most disappointing was the "waygu ribeye". The quality was pretty horrible. The piece we got had silver skin as well as chunks of fat. I wish I got a picture of the leftover fat from the steak but if you look at my picture you can clearly see slices of just fat. I love a little fat on a well cooked ribeye and do not mind paying for it. But paying $50 for a probably 8oz "waygu" ribeye with only half of it palatable is wild. Regardless, I'm actually going back in a couple of days with my husband because of those amazing mushrooms.. though as I am writing this review I'm debating on canceling my reservation, ordering the mushrooms to go, and just going elsewhere. lol

"There's something magical about rooftops. You feel like you're in 'Mary Poppins."…read moreGeorge Clarke There really is something special about being on a rooftop on a perfect summer evening, and it's great to have it right in downtown Sugar Hill. I would like to say I planned the perfect date, but as some of the best things in life, this was just an impromptu visit to cap off an already great evening. Outside of being on the rooftop, the bar itself is upscale yet approachable, service was fast and friendly. Being a bit of a self engrandized home bartender I'm a bit critical when out of my home lab, but their Smoked Old Fashioned wasn't bad. ("Wasn't bad" really means very good.") While I don't love the prices and hate paying a cover charge, when you throw in live music, a great vibe, and a view, I can't really complain. The owner made an announcement that whoever tipped the band $10 would get a free drink, and since most drinks were over $15 I thought that was cool on many levels. Will definitely be back to The Rooftop!

We walked around and finally ran into a waitress who told us to sit anywhere we wished inside or outside. The only area festive was inside a closed igloo and no heaters were on outdoors which was just a tad too cool for me despite the super nice weather that day. It would have been so to sit outside but without the warmth of the heaters we headed inside. We placed our order and explained we were just there for a pre-dinner drink and wanted to check out the venue so we didn't leave our tab open but we were quickly served the fabulous taking drinks on their menu(s). The Old Fashioned was on the regular menu and the Russian was on their seasonal tabletop menu. Server was very nice and took photos for some ladies we met. The only reason I can't give them a 5 star is they claim they are big on hospitality but yet we were not acknowledged upon arrival. Many restaurants and even some retail stores have a way to ensure they say hello/welcome immediately when you enter and without a hostess - the mindset should be that the bar or wait staff have a way to immediately say hello or welcome so those who have never been feel welcomed as well as those who frequently come. It would be nice to have a more festive decor for the holidays but that didn't affect my review; just a statement to say that the entire Sugar Hill area was pumping and themed with the holiday spirit then we walked in the only area decorated was not even accessible nor was it offered as an option to enjoy.
