Nick called but did NOT disclose it was his last day, as later confirmed by Rolanda. Despite on-site confirmation of a hazardous safety issue, management (Albert) attempted to schedule a fix for April 21--leaving me in a home with active exhaust fumes. He found no issues with a "proposal" written on a $0 Receipt Note, despite clear issues detailed in my email. This proves that he either did not read or does not understand his job. A $0 Receipt Note is NOT a formal company proposal. Furthermore, this document contains Critical Legal & Professional Failures - this list is not exhaustive: 1. The proposal cites a South Carolina Mechanical License (#115146) for a Georgia property, making it legally void. - WARNING to future customers. make sure the license is from GA if you are located in GA. 2. The proposal cites an incorrect service address, potentially invalidating insurance coverage. - ANOTHER WARNING to potential customers. 3. We have used RS Andrews since around 2005 at two homes we have owned. We have purchased entirely new heating and air systems from them, water heaters, plumbing work and have used their smiley service for as long as I can remember. I've watched the company grow and change over that time. During a recent service visit I questioned the maintenance being performed, specifically when I was asked to pay for something extra I didn't believe was warranted and that I should have already been receiving. Specifically, I have observed times, when my unit was not cleaned in the same ways it has always been in the past. No water was used. I've used them for over 20 years, so yes, the quality of the work could be expected to vary during that length of time. I'm reasonable, so I've mostly accepted it. But, I questioned what was being done and how it was being done because I was being asked to pay for an extra service. I was called a jerk by a member of their management. I was not rude, I'm simply stated the facts as I observed them, and questioned the quality of the service. That's the thing about customer service, it's hard work, so I was just told I was a jerk. This is in no way acceptable. There are no excuses, especially after the amount of money I have paid this company and the amount of time we have used them. In that same visit I was then told my unit was low on freon and leaking. I've since paid to have another company test and check the unit and they tell me it is fine. I would not have hesitated to recommend the 2005 version of RS Andrews, but in 2026, it just isn't the same company. I do not recommend them. read more

Not sure if this is an issue of regional variance, but I have been using RS Andrews for several years in Stone Mountain. Ive used their electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. Ive literally done thousands of dollars of business with them. Vetted their estimates. Modified work orders to better fit my priorities. Ive never had a problem with their workmanship, customer service, or pricing. Not sure if I am just lucky to be working with a superior branch or what, but I never hesitate to recommend them. A technician came out to diagnose my issue with my A/C. Looked at my unit and then told me I need to get a new A/C because it's probably leaking. He told me it would be approx 3400, but I never received a quote or what's wrong with my unit in writing. He sent out someone from Sales to give me a quote for a new A/C. This guy told me it would cost me $14k-$15k + for a new A/C, which he assured me I needed. He said he would price it out and send me a quote. Once again, I never received a quote. I sent RS Andrews an email saying I never received a quote so they send me a receipt for what I paid for the tech to come out. I would never recommend this company. I will be letting my condo building about my experience and hopefully they will take them off of the recommended list for HVAC. read more

I would caution anyone considering doing business with this company. I initially reached out to them after seeing positive reviews on BirdEye, but later discovered much less favorable feedback on other platforms. After enrolling in their maintenance membership, a technician came to inspect our unit and claimed it was in "terrible condition." He told us the system was unsafe and that we could be "in danger" if it continued running. Concerned, we agreed to meet with a sales representative shortly afterward to understand our options. When the technician returned, he showed us photos that allegedly demonstrated serious damage and told us the unit needed to be completely replaced. He even shut off our heating system and attempted to have us sign a document stating that our unit was "condemned." We refused to sign. Shortly after, a salesperson arrived offering to replace the system for approximately $18,000. When we declined, the salesperson contacted a "manager," who claimed another customer had canceled, and offered us a "special" deal of $16,000 with no money down and $253 monthly payments. We decided to get second and third opinions before agreeing to anything. Both independent HVAC companies confirmed that our system was in good working condition and well-maintained. I personally supervised both inspections and observed that their findings directly contradicted the photos and claims made by RS Andrews. In my opinion, this company uses high-pressure and misleading tactics to sell unnecessary replacements. They also stated that they handle maintenance for Home Depot and Lowe's customers--which, if true, is concerning. Since attempting to cancel my maintenance contract, I have had difficulty getting any response from their team. Caution this would be a long review, but if you don't want to read here is the short version: RUN, RUN, RUN. This company is awful and riddled with incompetent technicians, sales persons, and managers. Their incompetently installed HVAC unit caused water damage of over $10K and then it took the incompetent and arrogant operations manager whole three weeks to return our emails. Spare yourself any grief. Find another company. All our neighbors are now avoiding them too. Here is the long version: we hired RS Andrews to install a new Mitsubishi mini split system in our Buckhead high rise condo. Since this seemed to be a new system installation, we had our concerns with them being able to do the job. The salesperson assured us that the company takes care of their customers and that they will never leave us if something goes wrong. We felt comfortable but who knew that his promise would not be a big lie and a nightmare that lasted a month. The installation took three days with installer being constantly on the phone asking questions and consulting with 'his installation HVAC manager'. Once everything was installed, I asked why isn't there a drain pan under the heat pump. I had seen these units to leak water and since this equipment was installed in an HVAC closet on the balcony and any leaks would be trapped inside the closet. RS Andrews's technician said that heat pumps in this configuration don't condensate. I am not an expert and took his word. Then his HVAC manager came, inspected and confirmed that installation was done properly. Fast forward two weeks of using the heating mode, we discovered water in the room adjacent to the HVAC closet. RS Andrews sent a technician who came and said that he had never seen this type of equipment, can't do anything and left. The company then sent two other technicians who were supposed to install a drain pan under the heat pump. It took them half a day to remove the unit causing a damage along the way (did I say they are incompetent? let me say it again - incompetent and dangerous!). During this time, we discovered that the damage is beyond just a small leak and a mitigation company had to be called. This is when it became ugly. The company that was supposed to care for their customers removed the HVAC equipment leaving us without heat in the middle of winter. Even worse than that was the operations manager who started contesting the cause of the leak. After three days he disappeared and for three weeks didn't return our calls or emails asking for when we can get our equipment back and asking for reports from the technicians' visits. After three weeks the manager responded that he was on vacation and that they will refund and leave the insurance company deal with the aftermath. It took almost two months in the middle of winter going without heat to fix what these nincompoops did. So, if you made it to the end of this post, spare yourself the headache and anxiety from dealing with this incompetent nightmare of a company. read more

I regret that I hired RS Andrews to install a new mini-split system in my home. First there were problems with how long the install took because of an ordering mix-up that was blamed on the supplier, but so many problems have come up since the install that I now think they were just shifting blame. Just getting the service department to call me back has been difficult. Then, about six months later, they sent out a guy for routine maintenance (and to fix a thermostat that was under warranty); he tried to charge us and literally said "we'll see about that" when my wife told him it was under warranty. He had to be convinced to simply call the office to confirm the warranty. He also refused to check the unit in the clean, dry enclosed crawlspace under the house. I was told by customer service that they would be sure to send out a "supervisor" trained on these systems when they returned with a part that was on order. Instead, they sent out a "technician" who knew absolutely nothing about the systems and is having to ask me questions to install the thermostat. I'm afraid that someone with so little knowledge might do it wrong and make things worse. It isn't his fault though; it's RS Andrews for lying to me about who they would send out and for failing to train the young "technician." read more

After finding no problem with the heating system they said they advised the filters needed changing since they were very dirty. They did not change the filters while they were there. I had a tankless hot water heater installed in May. I initially had issues with this company during the installation. The sales representative told me the wrong location for installation, which caused the price to increase. They had already removed the old hot water heater before informing me of the price to move it and the additional cost. I had agreed to the extra fee. Then they installed wiring without consent. I asked to speak to management multiple times throughout this process regarding the wiring and the cost. Neither Lowe's nor I could reach management regarding these issues. They started on a Wednesday, and I did not have hot water until Monday. The people they sent to install the tank did not install certain things up to code, so it failed inspection. They completely unhooked my gas meter and just threw it on the ground. It was exposed to the weather for two days. The manager came out on Monday morning to see what was going on. Monday at 5 pm, I finally had hot water. Fast forward to the winter months, I came home from work today to smell gas in my backyard. I had a Gas leak. The technician from the Gas company stated that the gas meter was not installed properly. Therefore, gas has been leaking due to improper installation by the company. I live in a residential neighborhood with a school 2 blocks away. When I received a call tonight asking to speak to corporate, the customer service representative apologized for the inconvenience. Calling the gas company because I smelled gas is not an inconvenience. The company's overall installation, customer service, and handling of all matters are what is causing the inconvenience. The fact that you asked whether I was calling to complain while speaking with a representative is baffling. A customer calling to tell you they had a leak for 7 months undetected due to work from your company, and that anything could have happened, is an "inconvenience". No, that is life-or-death. There is an elementary school 2 blocks away, and several houses nearby. Think about that the next time you call all of this an inconvenience. I do not recommend this company. read more

Start in 2023, new unit- arrived broken, left without AC for a week while they argued with me about replacing a broken part on the NEW unit. Refused and demanded whole new unit- took 2 weeks. Fast forward 2025- pay a monthly maintenance fee $20 ($240 a year) for a twice a year check-up. Made appointment in May- on 4th reschedule due to heat and other calls coming in which take precedence over existing maintenance customers. Well, my thermostat is acting wonky- and I'm an existing customer, but that does not mean anything apparently. Ask to discontinue sub- told accounting not available, they will call me back. They are never available to do anything apparently unless you are about to pay them thousands of dollars. Smiley's is on the way today and for $70 will do the check-up and that goes toward anything that may need updating/replaced etc...which at 2 years old should be NOTHING! read more

HORRIBLE! Called for plumber to fix minor kitchen sink part that had a missing screw after many years of use (a good MOEN product). Technician could not fix it and sent me to Home Depot to buy a duplicate for him to install (a $9.00 item). The specifications he wrote down for me and I took to Home Depot were incorrect and I had to again go to Home Depot and exchange it for the correct item. Then, he installed the part but it now makes a loud noise when turned on which never happened before. He obviously installed it incorrectly. He also insisted on going thru the house checking water heater, water pressure, etc and tried to sell me on hundreds/thousands of dollars for repairs he thought I should have done. Then he spent 30 minutes on the phone in his truck writing up proposals he tried to get me to sign. He was purely only trying to drum up business as he must work on commission. RIP OFF. I refused to sign as everything was working fine. I had a different plumber come out later that week to check on these 'repairs' and he stated no repairs were needed. This is hands down the worst electrical contractor I've ever used. We had a MINOR problem with a smoke detector Friday. They came out and replaced the alarm Saturday. This morning the alarm started shrieking as if the house were on fire, although there is nothing wrong. In orher words, we now have a MAJOR problem. They will not come out today because it is "not an emergency." In what world does a repair YOU BOTCHED not constitute an emergency - especially when I can't sit in my own home without risking hearing loss?! Hired them to provide A/C servicing and had an issue with my unit they came out and replaced a capacitor and a motor and then did an inspection, a month or so later the system is not working. Don't know what the inspection showed but what I received in the report indicated things were good. Called them to come and recheck as the system was not working. Was told $159 to come out and check and that the work and parts they replaced were only good for 30 days. Dumped them immediately. read more

I was in need of a new water heater and contacted RS Andrews to handle the task. They arrived as scheduled and the job was done, somewhat. The next day I noticed the water in the shower was not able to be adjusted to a usable temperature. I placed a call and they were very quick to setup a service call to ascertain the problem. A service technician arrived once again and determined that everything was connected properly and it was a wiring issue. Note - this is a gas water heater. Once we investigated further it was noticed that toilets were now filling with Hot Water and several sinks were now inverted between Hot/Cold water, shower was still not usable. It seems that the unit was indeed NOT installed properly as half the house was cross connected with the Hot & Cold lines. Thankfully we handled the fix ourselves and all was made right, no thanks to the folks at RS Andrews. read more

DO NO RECOMMEND!! Bought my AC unit in 2022 and have had multiple issues with my unit not working. I have had to submit 15 work orders since my purchase. Today I tried to go to the RS Andrews office in Peachtree corners to get an update on my current issue with my unit not working. I first requested my work orders to figure out how many times I have had an issue. I ask to speak to the manager. Andrew which did not want to give me his name initially, comes out aggressively and says, "what is the problem, what is the issue?!" I tell him what is going on and that it been 5 days my AC unit has not worked. He says to me "we will call you". I ask is there any update or ETA of when someone might be about to be able to get my AC working again. He then threatens to call the cops and have me trespassed. Had my A/C inspected after an attempt to steal it occurred. Technician came from the Tucker, GA location, very pleasant guy. The major fail of this company came in their lack of follow through. I was told I would receive a diagnostic report by that evening via email. Over a week later and nearly 20 calls made, I keep getting the same lie, "I have sent your request to the department who will be sending your report today." They each had said the same lie each time. Some reps I have spoken with multiple times. Several have even gone as far as to state they will "escalate" it to manager of that area. I have not received a call or email from ANYONE. Called the number of the guy who called me the day of my service, that number on rings. I expressed to the technician the day he came out, to the "manager on duty" the tech called whwhile at my home and to rep at the Tucker office (probably a non-local call center), that my insurance company needed the report ASAP to complete the claim report and proceed with necessary next steps of repair. Which the repair is holding up contractors from being able to o complete other repairs inside the home because of the need for temperature control. I do not recommend doing business with ARS of Tucker, Ga, or this company if this is any indication how customer service is provided. Also filing complaint with the BBB. read more

My Lennox main floor unit started blowing warm air Sat eve after all my units were serviced for AC less than 2 months ago by RS Andrews. Placed call Sunday AM and Tech came out Monday Afternoon. Tech quickly determined that capacitor was dead and quoted me $420 to replace it, not including the $79 service charge. I looked up replacement Lennox part for $53 online. Tech could do nothing other than give me 10% off since I had existing service membership with them bringing total down to $459. Called office and manager on duty would do nothing to help. Since it has been two days without unit work in 90+ degree July weather, I ate the cost to keep my family safe and healthy. I have been a customer since 1999 and RS Andrews has serviced all my units and installed this unit.I am totally fine with paying reasonable costs for service, but It is nothing short of thievery to charge me $460 for a part that took 15 minutes to install. I would not recommend RS Andrews and it just proves further that this industry is all about gouging people for 3-4 times the reasonable price. read more
